I have 40 mns to get on AA44 to Paris..Mar 13, 201220I arrive 13 March at JFK from Miami on AA928 at 4:20 pm & must connect to flight AA44 departing for Paris at 5:10 pm. 40 minutes is very tight: are the gates close to each other in the same terminal & is there much delay with security? What happens if my flight from Miami runs late? Any help to clarify situation would be appreciated, thanks...FGposted on Mon, Mar 12[ Reply ][ Like ]You arrive and depart from Terminal 8. When checking in at Miami, make sure your bags are properly tagged for all three airport codes, so they will arrive safely in Paris. Terminal 8 has two Concourses, one with B gates 1-16 and one with C gates 31-47. On arrival at JFK, look up at the overhead screens to find your departing flight with gate number & time; then simply follow signs to your connecting gate. No need to go through security again. 40 mins is very tight - no room for flight delays.tumar12posted on Tue, Mar 13

Changing flights United to CopaMar 13, 201210I am in a group of 11 flying into IAH on July 12 on United flight 1283 and out 38 minutes later on COPA 1932. What gate do we arrive at and what gate to we leave from? Is 38 minutes enough to make the transfer? Can our luggage make the transfer?BJonesposted on Mon, Mar 121. I find no COPA listing at IAH site - it might be operated by another airline? 2. United arrives in Terminal C, which is divided into east C14-24 and west gates C29-45 and connects at gate area to TE. Presuming your COPA flight departs from either the International Terminals D or E, you can take the above-ground TerminaLink train connecting all terminals inside security. If arriving at gates C29-45 and transferring to Terminal E: walk towards gates C14-24 and proceed straight on to TE. Gates D1-3 of Terminal E connect to gates C14-2. 38 mins is extremely tight.tumar12posted on Tue, Mar 13

From Terminal F to Terminal A 1h50?Mar 13, 201210My son (16) will visit family, and the flight to Philadelphia (International to Domestic, terminal F to A) he booked contains a connection time of less than two hours. It is the first ti flight to the US, will this bring him in trouble? Carry-on Luggage only will be advisable I guess?dhposted on Mon, Mar 12Terminal F with 3 concourses hass gates F1-9; F24-39 & F10-23. serves US Airways Express; Terminal A is divided into TA-West and TA-East. TA-East with gates A1-A13 serves mostly domestic flights and has gates A1-A13. A free shuttle bus, operated by US Airways runs between Terminal A and F.tumar12posted on Tue, Mar 13

Terminal 2 to Terminal 7Mar 12, 201210Is there any way to keep inside security between these two terminals? If not, is there a better/best way to clear it again at Terminal 7?Melelinaposted on Mon, Mar 12LAX has its terminals arranged in a U-shape, with the Bradley Terminal being in the center, Terminals 3-1 to the left & T4 to T8 to the right, all wrapped around the parking garages. No matter whether you take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. (next stops after T2 are T3, Bradley Terminal, T4, 5, 6 & 7 - six stops or 15 mins) - or you walk across between the parking garages - you need to go through security again when entering T7.momar12posted on Mon, Mar 12

Connecting flightMar 12, 201210If we arrive on a flight from Dublin will we have time to make a flight to Orlando....approx 1 hour 20 mins.Ginaposted on Sun, Mar 111. Check if Dublin has U.S. customs clearance - saving you time at CLT arrivals - otherwise you need to go at CLT through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bags, which should have all 3 airport codes on their tags - also make sure that your first airline transfers bags to orlando flight - not all airlines do, in which case you would have to carry it to your connecting concourse. Look at your ticket for your gate number - CLT has Concourses and gates A, B, C, D & E - or gates A1-12; B1-16; C2-19, D1-13; E1-32. No shuttle is needed - you can walk to your departing gate. your time is sufficient.momar12posted on Mon, Mar 12

35 Minute layover - SouthwestMar 12, 201210Just wondering if 35 minutes is too short a layover if I'm coming in on Southwest, leaving on Southwest - so same terminal/concourse. I don't know the size of this concourse and just wondering if one comes in at one end, and the other leaves from the opposite end (presuming all flights are on-time), will 35 minutes be sufficient without putting on running shoesdebbiposted on Sun, Mar 11

Long layover/baggage storageMar 12, 201210Hi, my family and I are flying in from South Africa and would like to explore Washington DC before we catch our connecting flight to Nashville. What facilities are there for baggage storage or can we book our bags straight through to the next flight? Thanks.Batgirlposted on Sun, Mar 11Note: Washington DC has 2 major airports - While Reagan Airport is close to city center - IAD (Dulles Airport) is further away. I suggest that you visit www.ifly.com/iad, scroll down to "To get from the Airport to your destination" to see your transportation options, also click on "Terminal Map" and see map and terminal details below; and finally look at "layover ideas". Note that as an international arrival you need first to go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs, and then re-check-in your bags. NOTE: When you check-in in S.Africa, make sure your airline will automatically transfer your bags to your Nashville (Code: BNA) connection - not all airlines do, in which case you would have to check in your bag at the connecting terminal. Also make sure that baggage tags have all three airport codes.momar12posted on Mon, Mar 12

Meeting a party who arrives on a differeMar 11, 201210I arrive Alaska Airlines on the 15th of March. I am meeting a party coming in on AirTrans 3 hours later. What is the best place to meet them after I have picked up my luggage. We are sharing a rental car.abaiathomasposted on Sun, Mar 11You may want to stay for a while at your arriving Main South terminal and either meet your party there on the arrivals level in front of the main Information counter - or meet up at the new Consolidated Rental Car Center accessible via the continuously running ATL SkyTrain (a 5-minute trip) - the train also connects you with the Georgia International Convention Center. Your party will arrive in the Main North terminal. Give yourself plenty of time as major construction is happening at ATL - best you read up on opening www.ifly.com/atl - click on 'Terminal Map' and scroll down to text.sumar12posted on Sun, Mar 11

Connecting from UA to Swiss AirMar 11, 201210We are arriving into ORD on a domestic United flight from GRB and then departing from T5 on aSwiss Air flight. Will UA transfer the bags toSwiss air for me or do I have to claim from UA and recheck with Swiss?Dougposted on Sat, Mar 10When checking in at Austin Straubel Airport make sure your bags have all three airport codes on their tags. Also inquire there if UA transfers to Swiss Air - not all airlines do, in which case you would have to retrieve your bag at either Terminal 1 or 2 (United serves both - check your ticket - T1 has C & B gates, T2 has E & F gates. The ATS shuttle train connects these terminals.sumar12posted on Sun, Mar 11

50 minute connection time, is it enough?Mar 11, 201211we have only 50 minutes between arriving from Vancouver and getting to an Croatian Airlines flight for Zagreb. Is that enough time to transfer?zippogirlposted on Sat, Mar 101. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport has one terminal with Gate areas B-C, D, E, F, G-H, & M: Departures 1 uses the B & D gates; Departures 2 uses the E gates; Departure 3 uses F, G, H & M gates. 2. As an international arrival you will need to go through UK customs clearance - that can take up to 45 mins, before you can proceed to your gate. I don't think 50 mins are enough time (unless Vancouver has customs clearance for UK (it does for the U.S.).sumar12posted on Sun, Mar 111 person likes this post [ Like ]

What terminal does Seaport use?Apr 15, 201233How to get from Seaport terminal to Southwest terminal?nandalposted on Sat, Mar 10As a consequence of extensive renovation projects lasting until 2014, the passenger terminal temporarily is now split into two, T1 & T2, enabling construction of the new ticketing wing & concourse. The temporary two terminals will be in use until construction commenced and then will return to one central terminal for all airlines. Terminal 1 of Dallas Love Field, a stand-alone terminal, will house Continental & Delta (while Southwest continues to operated at the present terminal - now named Terminal 2). T1 will house the TSA checkpoint, ticketing, baggage checkin & baggage claim area. Continental & Delta passengers should now use the long-term Parking Garage B, accessible by a pedestrian walkway. I CANNOT FIND ANY REFERENCE TO SEAPORT. Terminal 2 of Dallas Love Field, the original terminal and still housing Southwest Airlines, will include curbside checkin, TSA checkpoint, ticketing, baggage checkin & baggage claim areas. Southwest Airline passengers ca use the short-term Garage A or long-term Garage B, accessible from the main termnal entrance.sumar12posted on Sun, Mar 111 person likes this post [ Like ]did you find Seaport at DAL? term 3 to intl terminal connectionMar 11, 201211We are travelling to Toronto connecting through SFO from Maui. We only have 1 hour - we arrive at terminal 3 (united) and depart from the Intl Terminal on Air Canada. Do we have to go through customs or security? Do we have enough time? Any hints would help. thanksBernieposted on Sat, Mar 101 person likes this post [ Like ]1. Only international arrivals need to go through security check at US airports (with exception of some participating Airports - Toronto has a US. customs clearance - use it on your way back to save time at SFO. Note that the International Terminal has boarding areas A, gates 1-12 and area G, gates 91-102 on either side of a 2-level Main Hall. A secure connector allows passengers, transferring from domestic flights in Terminals 2 & 3 to international flights in Boarding Area G, to walk directly to their new gate without having to exit and re-enter security or ride a shuttle bus between the two buildings. If your departure is in Boarding Area A, you need to take the Red & Blue lines of the AirTrain, an automated people mover and connecting the terminals in the unsecured areas - you would need to go through security check again. One hour will suffice.sumar12posted on Sun, Mar 11
