  • enough time

Arrive American Air Terminal 3, transfer to United Terminal 1 w/ a 1:02 hour arrival/departure layover. Walk moderately slow. Is this sufficient time?

At ATL the ATS shuttle train runs every few minutes - it makes its loop run counter clockwise, starting at T5 (T1 is the last stop) - the full loop takes 30 mins. On arrival at T3 look for the ATS train sign. Note that T1 has Concourses B& C with corresponding gates (i.e., B22; C1) - Look at your ticket and on arrival at overhead screens to find your connecting gate number; then follow signs. You should have enough time.

i am arriving at jfk 4 from dubai on apr 25 and travling the same day to tampa florida on jet blue. How do i transfer from jfk 4 to my jetblue flight? how long does it take..what do i do with my chkin bags?

    1. Prior to your departure at Dubai: check with your airline if they transfer your bags at JFK from Terminal 4 to your connecting flight at Terminal 5 - if not, you would have to take the bags - after customs clearance - with you on the shuttle train to T5 and check them in there. 2. As an international arrival you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). Count on 35-45 mins for this procedure. 3. Thereafter, proceed to the Airtrain station located inside arrivals level, center - the train leaves on average every 8-10 mins; it will arrive at T5 near gate 25 or gate 1 on opposite side.

  • Delta to Hawaiian

I arrive at SeaTac on a Delta flight at 9:35am and am departing on a Hawaiian flight at 10:10 - which concourse does Hawaiian fly out of and if I'm quick will I have time to make my Hawaiian flight? Will Delta have time to get my bags to the Hawaiian flight?

    1. You arrive at SEA via Delta at the South Satellite which has a connector to Concourse A where you arrive via escalator between gates & transit level. Just follow signs, but hurry.

  • When is a connection too tight?

I just got a note from Germanwings showing a schedule change for my family and I in June. Our layover in CGN is down to 45 minutes (1800 - 1845) coming from Italy, departing to another German airport. The note suggested we call to discuss rebooking, although I was given a link to accept online. From their website, "rebooking" looks like a RON at CGN or a push to another airline. I probably would stick with the booking at most US airports and take the risk vs adding an overnight hotel. Any tricks or quirks at CGN I should know about? Thanks in advance!!

  • Location of re-check in at TBIT

Hi all coming in by BA from LHR at TBIT and leaving by AA at TERM 4. After customs procedure, were can I find the re-check in counter/place? Airside or landside ? (before or after door to the public area and arrival hall?)

    1. When departing Heathrow (or earlier) do make sure that BA will transfer your bags on Arrival at LAX to your connecting AA flight - not all airlines do. 2. All international arrivals go through passport check, retrieve bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in bags (with proper tags showing all 3 airport codes). If airline does not transfer bags, you need to take them along to T4 and check them in there. A secure connector takes you to Terminal 4. However, you can also exit TBIT and walk to T4 or board the blue-marked LAX bus route A on lower arrivals level island in front of TBIT, under sign "LAX Shuttle Airline Connection", which runs every 12-15 mins, - Terminal 4 is to the right of TBIT around the bend - one stop.

  • Meet someone connecting from internation

I am flying domestic but would like to meet someone flying in from hkg andf then flying onward to my destination on the same day. where can we meet? Where is the re check bag area for international flyers with connecting flights and can i get to it if I have a domestic ticket?

Your friend will arrive in the international terminal where he/she will have to get bags, go through customs clearance and - if continuing flight - recheck-in bags. I suggest you meet up near the Information counter at the Arrivals level. All four terminals are connected in the unsecured areas by the Red and Blue Lines of the AirTrain, an automated people mover. You cannot meet your friend in the secured area with only a domestic ticket.

Where is the train located to get from Term. 3 to Term. 5? To board an international flight, do I have to go through security a second time? Is 60 minutes enough time between flights?

Follow signs to the ATS shuttle train which runs between all terminals (starting at T5 with last stop at T1 - the full loop takes 30 mins. You have enough time.

i have a stop over in seattle for an hour from houston. then to narita japan. do u think this is enough time? i wanna know also if i need to transfer to other terminal for my international flight? i will be on united airlines for both flights. thank you.

United uses Concourse B with gates B1-15 & Satellite North with gates N1-16. On arrival look and the overhead screens to find your flight number and departure gate; then follow signs. One hour transfer is enough.

  • Connection time

I will arrive on 1may by cx 293 from HK at T3 07:55am to connect AZ1311 to Bologna at T1 09:35am. How far is it between T3 to T1. Do I have to take shuttle or just walk to T1. How long it will take if T1 is within a walking distance. Also I have only 1 and half hour to connect my flight to Bologna. Do I have enough time in making the connection. Thanks .

On arrival at FCO you need to go through non-Schengen (foreign) immigraion/ customs clearance first, then take the free shuttle, which runs between all terminals and carparks daily, every 15 mins; No time to waste!

Do you have to go thru secuirty again if you use the shuttle bus from terminal c to a? What about the air tran?

The Airtrain runs between the terminals post-security: At TC the station is on upper level's center; at TA it is on the Concourse level. No need to go through security again.

  • Departures for Intl flights?

Am arriving from Vegas on United and only have 35 minutes to departure to Frankfurt Germany on another United flight. Expedia assures me that is enough time. Bags checked thru. Which terminal would I come in from Vegas and where do the departures leave from? Any help greatly appreciated!!

Just found a bit more looks like we depart from E to Frankfurt..any idea how quickly one can get there? Thanks again

United uses domestic terminals A, B & C at IAH - the above-ground TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security. Look at your ticket to see which terminal /gate you arrive at: Terminal A (TA) has gates A1-30; TB B60-88; TC C1-45. TE gates (United international) have on one side gates E12-24, on the opposite side E1-11. If arriving at gates C29-45, you can get to TE by walking towards gates C14-24 and proceeding from there straight on to TE gates. No time to waste!
