my friend is arriving from Beijing on Hianan 495. Can I meet her in the South Termainal, or must I wait until she takes the train to the main terminal?

Passengers arrive at the South Satellite (whether changing planes or ending their trip at Sea-Tac) and then go through immigration clearance, pick up checked luggage, continue to customs (taking 30-60 minutes), put luggage on the high-speed conveyor which will deliver it to the Baggage Claim, and thereafter proceed to the Main Terminal to pick up luggage at the Baggage Claim carousel. Meet her there, or in front of the information counter nearby.

  • Unacceptable Security Wait times

I was recently traveling from the Honolulu to the Mainland US. Even though I checked in at the appropriate time I missed my flight due to insanely long security lineup. I waited for over an hour and even though I asked the security personal if I would be ok to make my flight I still missed it. Gold Line members and Crew made it thought quickly. There was only 1 line open. This is not acceptable during the morning rush and we all know it!!!! I am so angry and upset over this issue and I know it has happened many times before after speaking to the flight agents. People pay to much to come to Hononlulu and be treated this way. I encourage people to speak up about this and I certainly do not currently recommend visiting the Honolulu Airport.

All Hawaiian Airports are managed by the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation, Airports Division. I found a contact site: http://hawaii.gov/dot/airports/contactairports - your complaint is well founded and should come to the attention of the Administrator.

Be dere on time sistah. Two hours eh? Then no miss da flight.

  • Booking Buddy?

I am from St. Louis and all I wanted was a preview of the airport layout. Everytime clicking on this link I am asked to compare something with my "booking buddy." Huh?

When you open ifly.com/oma the introduction refers to the terminal: "The two-level passenger terminal at Omaha Eppley Airfield is divided into a Central, North & South Terminal on both levels, with Concourse A (the South Terminal) and Concourse B (North Terminal) being on Level 2. (For detailed terminal information, click on 'Terminal Map'.) If you get the booking buddy popup, just click on the x & it will disappear.

Do American and American Eagle share the same baggage claim area at LGA?

Most likely; to make sure, scan the overhead screens for your flight number.

On the 21st of March I will be coming to EWR from the UK and arriving on a United flight in to Terminal B then leaving on another united flight at Terminal A towards Columbus, Ohio. I arrive at 13.05 and depart at 14.45. Will I need to go through security again, collect my baggage, change terminals and check it back in etc? Will I have enough time to do this?? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

All international arrivals in the U.S. need to to through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in their bags before proceeding to the next flight. Count on 30-45 mins for this procedure. Thereafter take the Airtrain, which is located close to gateway B2 to Terminal A where it arrives close to gateway A2. It will take only minutes. Terminal A has 3 gateways: A1 - gates A10-18; A2 - gates A20-28; A3 - gates A30-39. Your ticket should indicate your departing gate number. You have enough time for your transfer.

I have to go from B20 to C20 in 35 min. It is just a straight walk from one gate to the next right?

Concourses B& C are connected. You arrive at the end of Concourse B, need to walk towards gate B1 and then on to C20 - look for sign to gates C8-43. Hurry!!

  • Sky Harbor Shuttle Bus

We are leaving out of Terminal 2 and arriving at Terminal 3 but because we are also meeting another traveller on our return that is flying into Terminal 4, we will be parking at Terminal 4. Where are the inter terminal shuttle stops located at each terminal? How often do they run?

Terminal 4 is divided by its parking garage, there would be no need for a shuttle. However, near the 44th St. exit, and close to T4 are also the East Economy A & B garages, which have marked shuttle bus stops.

  • Terminal 6 to Terminal 8 in 1h 44m

Hi all, I come from LHR to T6 and have 1h 44m to catch the flight to LAS from T8. Is it faster to walk or to take the 'LAX shuttle airline connection' between T6 and T8?

    (a) You could walk from T6 to T7, which are connected by a tunnel, but you would need to take the walkway to T8 which is a little further up. (b) or take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. - if its right there, it will take at most 5 mins from T6 to T8. Otherwise the time would be much the same as walking. Either way, you need to go through security again at T8 before proceeding to your gate. You have plenty of time for either option.

I will be flying delta (arriving in Term D) can I wait for my family at their baggage claim (Term B) without having to go through security or is it necessary to go through security to get to Term B baggage claim??

After arrival at Terminal D, you can exit the terminal and walk over to Terminal B (B, C & D terminals are close together). The Arrivals area is in pre-security, but on your return to Terminal D you need to go through security again.

  • Do I have to re-enter security?
    Feb 16, 2012

Hello. Outgoing, I will be arriving at Terminal C1 and connecting to C3 with a very short layover. Are these gateways connected or will I have to leave C1 and re-enter security at C3? Incoming, I will be arriving at Terminal B and connecting to Terminal C. Will I have to re-enter security at Terminal C or can the post-security shuttle bus bypass it? Thank you!

    1. Terminal C is Continental's exclusive terminal - it has three gate areas: Gate area C1 is arranged in a Y-shape with gates C70-75, C80-88 & C90-99 on each side; gate area C2 has gates C101A-115A-B (15 gates); gate area C3 has gates C12-130. You need to look at your ticket to e which gate you arrive/depart from (also on arrival watch the overhead screen for your connecting flight gate. Presuming you use Continental for arrivals & departures, you need not change terminals. As you state that your return is in Terminal B it must be by another airline. You need on arrival go through passport control, pick up your bags, go through customs clearance, and re-check in your bags (a 30-45 min. process) before continuing on to Terminal C, which is connected by AirTrain - just follow signs.

how do I get from terminal d to terminal a, I only have 30 minutes between flights

Since you land at the International Terminal D you must be an international arrival, meaning you would have to spend 30-45 mins for going through passport control, baggage pickup, customs clearance and baggage re-check-in before proceeding to Terminal A.

Nearly missed my flight Sat 2/11 as I waited in the security line for 1.5hrs. Total chaos absolutely no organization on TSA part. They have no concept of queuing theory, efficiency, quality management etc. The place is up for grabs every man for himself. WOW They had 4 people checking Id's then after 1hr of waiting 2 of them decided to leave so only 2 were checking.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF Ill vote for any presidential candidate that will eliminate the TSA

I am arriving Seatac from Osaka, Delta Airlines, and have connection on Alaskan to Bellingham. How much time do I need between flights - is 3 hrs enough?

    1. The South Satellite has gates S1-13 and serves all international arrivals. You will hve to go through immigration clearance, pick up checked luggage, continue to customs (takes 30-60 mins) and re-check-in your bags and go through TSA security screening before proceeding to your connecting flight gate. Alaska /Horizon are in Concourse C, which has gates C1-20 - can be reached by shuttle train (North Train Loop. You have plenty of time!
