QuestionJan 30, 201226How long does it take to get from terminal 4 to terminal 7? (I'll be arriving from Dublin.) Thank you!hobo_powerposted on Sun, Jan 29[ Reply ]6 people like this post [ Like ]You have two choices: either walk over to T5, go down to the underground tunnel and walk to T7 - or - take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. - three stops or about 7 mins.1039posted on Sun, Jan 29

Jan 29, 201211I am flying from SLC on United Express and believe it will land in terminal 7?? I then need to connect on an Air New Zealand flight to Auckland, what terminal does Air New Zealand depart from, and approx how much time should I allow for this connection>CBposted on Sat, Jan 281 person likes this post [ Like ]1. United Express serves both T7 & T8 - look at your ticket - T7 has gates 70-77; T8 gates 80-88. 2. Air New Zealand flies out of T2. To get from T7 or T8 to T2, (which are on opposite sides of the parking garages), you need to take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. 3. Your next stops after T7 is T8, T1, T2 - three stops or 7 mins. You need to go through security check again at T2.MUCposted on Sun, Jan 29

30min layoverJan 27, 201211We have a group of 16 and have 30mins to catch our connecting flight from Houston to Denver. I'm told we will be landing in Terminal B and will most likely depart from Terminal C or E. We only have backpacks....is this enough time?aprillewiscoposted on Fri, Jan 271 person likes this post [ Like ]The above-ground TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security. Also, there is a connector to Terminals E & D near Terminal B gates 84-88. Look at your ticket to see which gate you will depart from, i.e., E12, D3, etc. Your group needs to be organize, (let the flight attendant know that you need to catch your connecting flight shortly; put backpacks under your feet, so they are at ready when plane stops.. Rush!1039posted on Fri, Jan 27

Connect time : 40 minJan 27, 201210Hi, I am flying to Singapore from RDU via Continental Airways. I have only 40 min to change plane. Would that be sufficient? I am worried that I might miss my international flight. Thanks, TPLTPLposted on Thu, Jan 26If you use Continental for both flights, there is no problem - you will then arrive & depart from EWR's Terminal C and simply walk over to your connecting gate. Terminal C has three gate areas: gate area C1 arranged in a Y-shape with gates C70-75, C80-88 & C90-99 on each side; gate area C2 has gates C101A-115A-B (15 gates); gate area C3 has gates C12-130.1039posted on Fri, Jan 27

Thank youkenkorposted on Thu, Jan 26To get from the A gates to the C gates use the below-ground Aero Train, taking only minutes - follow signs. C gates have gates C30-17, divided from remaining gates C14-1 by walkway.MUCposted on Fri, Jan 27

Terminal 7 to Terminal 8Feb 4, 201231I will be arriving at Terminal 7 via Cathay pacific, and connecting flight to rio de janeiro via American Airlines, how can i get to the terminal 8 ? Is that a walking distance ? Many Thanks!dmpposted on Thu, Jan 261 person likes this post [ Like ]1. As an international arrival, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). NOTE: Make sure Cathay transfer automatically your bags to the American Rio flight - not all airlines do, in which case you would need to take your bag to T8 and re-check it in there. 2. After customs clearance, etc., take the AirTrain to your connecting terminal- as it goes counter-clockwise, with the last terminal being T1, you may be better off to walk over to T8. (T8 has Concourse B with gates 1-16 and Concourse C with gates 31-47. Count on 30-45 mins. for customs procedure and another 25 minutes to your connecting gate.MUCposted on Fri, Jan 27If you are just transiting through, your bags will be tagged and transferred all the way from your origin to your destination without you having to recheck them - especially when travelling within the same alliance like Cathay and American are. But it is always good idea to mention at your departure airport that you want to make sure they are tagged all the way through (you can do this even if you are on two separate tickets, but transitting immediately on connection flights).pd2012posted on Sat, Feb 4

Jan 25, 201210WE ARE ARRIVING FROM LAX ON UNITED AIRLINES 564 TO CHICAGO O'HARE AIRPORT (ORD) AND HAVE TO TRANSFER TO UNITED AIRLINES 6046 TO OTTAWA. WE HAVE 49 MINUETS. PLEASE GUIDE US. THANKSKISHORposted on Wed, Jan 25Terminal 1 is served by "all domestic flights and international departures of United". Therefore, you will not have to change terminals. Terminal 1 has Concourses B and C - look at your ticket to see which gate you arrive at & depart from (i.e., B10, C30, etc.) Also, on arrival look a the above-head screens for your connecting flight's gate & departure time and simply follow signs to your next gate.1039posted on Wed, Jan 25

Nuetral Meeting PlaceJan 25, 201210I'm flying in on an international flight and I'm meeting my mom who is elderly. I want to know your recommendation on a meeting place for us both. Her flight arrives about an hour before mine....Stephposted on Wed, Jan 251. Unless you have gone through US customs clearance by participating airports, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags and go through customs clearance at Concourse E (functioning as international terminal until the opening of the new International Terminal this Spring). Allow for 30 minute for this procedure. From there I suggest you meet up with your mother, by taking the automated people mover (APM) train to either Concourses A, B, C or D where your mother is to arrive - meeting her there at the baggage claim area. (find out which gate she arrives at - i.e., Concourse A would have Gates A1-34 - or look at the overhead screen for her incoming flight and gate. You both would then have to take the train into the main terminal before exiting. You could also meet up in front of the Main Security Checkpoint or the Atrium of the Main Terminal. Oh, there is also a Concourse T attached to the main terminal.MUCposted on Wed, Jan 25

On arrival, look at the overhead screen and find your connecting flight & gate number (look at your ticket) - then proceed according to signs. You have enough time.HH39posted on Wed, Jan 25

enough time for connection?Jan 25, 201210We will be flying American Airlines into Boston Logan Airport and connecting with Cape Air. American has changed our flight times so that we will only have a little over an hour to get to Cape Air for our flight. Is this enough time?SLHposted on Tue, Jan 24If you are an international arrival you would arrive in Terminal E (gates E1-8) and need to spend 30-45 mins going through passport control (unless you cleared US customs in Canada), pick up bags, and re-check them in again. 2. After completing international arrivals procedures, take either (a) the shuttle bus Routes 11 or 55 to your connecting terminal; or (b) walk: 1. to TA: TE's level 3 has bridge to TA, takes 5-7 mins; 2. to TB: proceed to TC, Level 2, then use walkway to TB, takes 7-10 mins. 3. to TC: stay left, follow signs; takes 2-5 mins. 3. If arriving on a domestic flight, you arrive at Terminal B and need to transfer to Terminal C (gates C11-20, C25-36, & C40-42.MUCposted on Wed, Jan 25

transit AKL to YVRJan 25, 201211Hi, I'm flying from Auckland, NZ to Vancouver Canada via LAX Can my baggage be checked right through or do I have to take them out and get them checked in again. Which Terminal do I arrive and leave from? ThanksSSS25posted on Tue, Jan 241 person likes this post [ Like ]1. As an international arrival, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). HOWEVER, do check with your airline (presuming it's Air New Zealand you would land at Terminal 2 - if departing by Air Canada, you would be in the same terminal and would just have to proceed to your next gate. It is essential that you contact your original airline to make sure they automatically transfer your bags to another terminal, if your departure is there - not all airlines do, in which case you would have to take your bags along and re-check them in in the terminal of your departure. To get to your connecting terminal keep in mind that TBIT (or TB) has a secure connection to both T3 & T4, while T5-T7 are connected by underground tunnel, with a walkway from T7 to T8. All other terminals are connected by by the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Starting from TBIT, the next stops are at T4 through T8, it then goes on to the opposite side with T1, T2, T3 and back to TBIT. Count on 2.5 minutes for each stop.1039posted on Wed, Jan 25

transfer from Southwest to AlaskanJan 25, 201220We fly into Seattle on Southwest. need to go through baggage and transfer to Alaskan going to Canada. Is 1 hour 30 minutes maximum time on the grounwr399k enough time?Tennisgal56posted on Tue, Jan 24You arrive with Southwest at Concourse B and need to go over to Alaska's Concourse C (gates C1-20)- just follow signs - all concourses are connected at post-security. Unless Southwest does not automatically transfer bags to Alaska flights - most airlines do, you need not pick up your bags at Seattle. You have plenty of time.HH39posted on Wed, Jan 25

distance between erminalsJan 25, 201211flying in on us air and connection with an international flight on american. how far between terminals and time to be allowed and can I make a 2 hour 45 minute connection safely?tibrocposted on Tue, Jan 241 person likes this post [ Like ]You arrive at T7 and depart from T8. Your option is to take the Airtrain, running on average every 8 mins between the terminals, or exit the terminal and go to the adjacent Terminal 8, where you will need to go through security again. You have plenty of time to eat or shop before your departure. Look at your ticket to see which gate you depart from - reserve 45 minutes for transfer time and use the rest of the time for eating, shopping or relaxing.MUCposted on Wed, Jan 25
