I'm flying in on an international flight and I'm meeting my mom who is elderly. I want to know your recommendation on a meeting place for us both. Her flight arrives about an hour before mine....

    1. Unless you have gone through US customs clearance by participating airports, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags and go through customs clearance at Concourse E (functioning as international terminal until the opening of the new International Terminal this Spring). Allow for 30 minute for this procedure. From there I suggest you meet up with your mother, by taking the automated people mover (APM) train to either Concourses A, B, C or D where your mother is to arrive - meeting her there at the baggage claim area. (find out which gate she arrives at - i.e., Concourse A would have Gates A1-34 - or look at the overhead screen for her incoming flight and gate. You both would then have to take the train into the main terminal before exiting. You could also meet up in front of the Main Security Checkpoint or the Atrium of the Main Terminal. Oh, there is also a Concourse T attached to the main terminal.

  • Connection time 40 min

Hello, I would like to take a continental fight from BTV to BWI connecting in newark and the connection time on their site is 40 minutes? is this enough for me to make the connecting flight? thanks! this is in summer

If you take Continental for both flights, you are arriving & departing from EWR's Terminal C. On arrival, look at the overhead screen and find your connecting flight & gate number (look at your ticket) - then proceed according to signs. You have enough time.

Be careful. Some Continental affiliates are flying in/out of Terminal A (Commutair is one). Check your itinerary.

  • enough time for connection?

We will be flying American Airlines into Boston Logan Airport and connecting with Cape Air. American has changed our flight times so that we will only have a little over an hour to get to Cape Air for our flight. Is this enough time?

If you are an international arrival you would arrive in Terminal E (gates E1-8) and need to spend 30-45 mins going through passport control (unless you cleared US customs in Canada), pick up bags, and re-check them in again. 2. After completing international arrivals procedures, take either (a) the shuttle bus Routes 11 or 55 to your connecting terminal; or (b) walk: 1. to TA: TE's level 3 has bridge to TA, takes 5-7 mins; 2. to TB: proceed to TC, Level 2, then use walkway to TB, takes 7-10 mins. 3. to TC: stay left, follow signs; takes 2-5 mins. 3. If arriving on a domestic flight, you arrive at Terminal B and need to transfer to Terminal C (gates C11-20, C25-36, & C40-42.

Hi, I'm flying from Auckland, NZ to Vancouver Canada via LAX Can my baggage be checked right through or do I have to take them out and get them checked in again. Which Terminal do I arrive and leave from? Thanks

    1. As an international arrival, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). HOWEVER, do check with your airline (presuming it's Air New Zealand you would land at Terminal 2 - if departing by Air Canada, you would be in the same terminal and would just have to proceed to your next gate. It is essential that you contact your original airline to make sure they automatically transfer your bags to another terminal, if your departure is there - not all airlines do, in which case you would have to take your bags along and re-check them in in the terminal of your departure. To get to your connecting terminal keep in mind that TBIT (or TB) has a secure connection to both T3 & T4, while T5-T7 are connected by underground tunnel, with a walkway from T7 to T8. All other terminals are connected by by the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Starting from TBIT, the next stops are at T4 through T8, it then goes on to the opposite side with T1, T2, T3 and back to TBIT. Count on 2.5 minutes for each stop.

  • transfer from Southwest to Alaskan

We fly into Seattle on Southwest. need to go through baggage and transfer to Alaskan going to Canada. Is 1 hour 30 minutes maximum time on the grounwr399k enough time?

You arrive with Southwest at Concourse B and need to go over to Alaska's Concourse C (gates C1-20)- just follow signs - all concourses are connected at post-security. Unless Southwest does not automatically transfer bags to Alaska flights - most airlines do, you need not pick up your bags at Seattle. You have plenty of time.

flying in on us air and connection with an international flight on american. how far between terminals and time to be allowed and can I make a 2 hour 45 minute connection safely?

You arrive at T7 and depart from T8. Your option is to take the Airtrain, running on average every 8 mins between the terminals, or exit the terminal and go to the adjacent Terminal 8, where you will need to go through security again. You have plenty of time to eat or shop before your departure. Look at your ticket to see which gate you depart from - reserve 45 minutes for transfer time and use the rest of the time for eating, shopping or relaxing.

how do i get from terminal 4 to terminal 7 the quickest way?

As T4 is not connected to the remaining terminals T4-T8, you would have to exit T4, walk to T5, go down to the tunnel connector, and walk to T7. Alternatively, take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins - next stops: T5, T6 & T7 - about 7 mins. Either way you need to go through security again at T7.

we arrive at 7:13 am at Terminal 2 and our connecting flight leaves from Terminal 2 at 8:00 am. does this leave us enough time so that we don't miss our Terminal 2 flight?

Made a mistake, we arrive in Terminal 2 at 7:13 AM and leave from Terminal 1 at 8:00 AM..... do we have enough time to make connection? Thanks

is United and United Express in the same terminal? Have 45min between flights

Terminal 2's gateway area splits in a Y formation between Concourses E and F. Concourses E & F both have 14 gates – with gates F11A,B & C being on the Lower Level. Upon arrival check your departure flight on the above-head screens - then proceed to your gate following signs. You have enough time.

Can anyone tell me if terminals 5-8 are connected airside?

None of LAX's terminals are connected airside. However, T5 - T7 are connected by an underground tunnel, and T7 has a walkway to T8.

I arrive from Salt Lake City at Terminal 2 and am going to London from Terminal 3. I only have a 45 minute layover. I notice that there is a walkway between the 2 terminals. Is it all a secure area or do I have to go through security again @ Terminal 3?

  • I Have a connect time of 38 min to PTY

My itinerary: Departure United CO854 SFO 7:42 am - Arrival IAH 1:33pm/The connect time is 38 min Departure Continental CO1034 IAH 2:11 pm - Arrival PTY(Panama) 7:15pm Do I have to get security check again at IAH and how long does it take? Is 38 minutes enough? How do i get from Terminal C to E? Thanks

Gate areas of Terminal C connect to Terminal E by walkway. - no need to go through security again. If arriving at gates C29-45, walk towards gates C14-24 & proceed straight on to Terminal E, which has on one side gates E12-24 and on opposite side E11.

I will be arriving on CO 107 on the 25th of January and have 55 minutes to make my connection to Guatemala in Terminal E. I will have already cleared immigration and reclaimed my baggage in Newark and so will not need to in Houston (at least I didn't last year). Do I have enough time to make my connection? How do I get from terminal C to terminal E, from what I remember you can just walk between them. Thanks

Getting from TC to TE: use the above-ground TerminaLink train which runs inside security and makes its continuous round between terminals. Just follow signs. You have plenty of time. However, make sure that your arriving airline (Continental?) will forward your bags to your connecting flight, if by a different airline. If not, you need to claim your bag on arrival, take it with you on the train, and re-check it in at Terminal E. (You may want to ask your flight attendant, if you have no other way to find out).
