Hi, I am meeting my wife at terminal 3 this Saturday, Can you tell me where is the nearest parking to terminal 3 arrival. i am planning to be at the airport for 1 and half hour. And how far is the parking to the terminal 3 arrival.

You have 3 choices: The best one is to use the free Cell Phone Lot on Network Road (accessible after intersection of 427, & 409). Stay with your car until your wife collected luggage and calls you to be picked up at the terminal curb. Alternatively, use the parking garage in front of Terminal 3 - the first 20 mins are about $3.

How do I get from Terminal 1 to Terminal 5 and how long does it tak? Is there a smoking area in Terminal 5?

You board the free AirTrain which makes its continous loop between all terminals and takes minutes. Location at T1: arrivals level, outside, center; T5: near ate 25 (or 1 on opposite side). Smoking? outside ok, inside??

i will be coming frm houston to chicago at T3 and then have a connecting int'l flight at T5 so do we need to recheck our bags ?

When checking in at Houston, make sure that your airline will transfer bags to your connecting flight (not all airlines do - in which case you need to take your bag along and re-check it in in Terminal 5.

    thanks :)

  • LAX Terminal Transfer

We arrive Terminal 5 and fly out of Terminal 3 Virgin America. We have allowed 2hr 45mins. What is the best way to change terminals? and have we allowed enough time?

    1. Prior to your departure, make sure that your first airline will transfer your bags to your connecting flight (not all airlines do, in which case you need to take your bags along & recheck them in at T3. 2. If you are an international arrival - unless you have gone through US customs clearance by participating airports, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). 3. Terminals 5 & 3 are on opposite sides of the parking garages. To get from T5 to T3 you need to take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops will be T6, T7, T8, T1, T2, T3 - six stops - a 15-minute ride. Your time is more than ample and allows for eating or shopping.

If I am coming in on a Horizon/Alaska Flight and leaving 25 minutes later on a US Airway Flight where do I come in and where do I leave from and do I have to go thru security again?

While US Airways uses Concourse A only, Alaska/Horizon uses both Satellite South (for international arrivals) & Concourse C. All concourses are connected at post-security, enabling passengers to freely move around without having to leave the secured area. Walk quickly from the A gates to the C gates.

  • GETTING TO OUR TERMINAL WITH 2 TODDLERS

Hi We're about to book the following flight. Any idea if we can make it to our terminal on time in Chicago? Springfield (SGF) Depart 6:36 pm to Chicago (ORD) Arrive 8:12 pm Terminal 2 438 mi Duration: 1hr 36mn UA Flight: 5983 Operated by: /UNITED EXPRESS/EXPRESSJET AIRLINES -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chicago (ORD) Depart 8:50 pm Terminal 1 to Munich (MUC) Arrive 12:30 pm +1 day Terminal 2 4,530 mi (7,290 km) Duration: 8hr 40mn LH Flight: 435 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1. Domestic flights of United & United Express are in Terminal 2, while international departures of United are in Terminal 1. T2 has E & F gates; T1 has B & C gates - Concourse B connects by walkway at its center to Concourse C (your ticket will show your gate numbers). DO WATCH THE OVERHEAD SCEENS ON ARRIVAL AT ORD FOR YOUR DEPARTING FLIGHT & GATE! 2. To get from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 you have two alternatives: (a) Walking from T2 to T1 -Note that all gate areas of all terminals are not connected, but the secured area of the Departures level, has, right after you walk from gate F8 past gate F1, at right end a connector to T1. At T1 you will arrive again in the secured area, where you should proceed to closeby gate B6, walk past gate B8 (at right), take walkway to C gates, turn left to gate C15. (b) taking the ATS train within the secured area, running its loop around the terminals counter-clockwise, with the last stop being T1 - you have only one stop. Even with 2 toddlers you should be able to make it to your gate between 8:12 & 8:50pm. However, if your incoming plane is late, you will have a very tight schedule.

i land in terminal 2 and have 1 hour to make flight in terminal 4 , how do i get there please

Terminal 2 and Terminal 4 are divided by the parking garages in the middle. You need to exit T2 and board the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops will be T3, TBIT, T4 - 3 stops taking about 7 mins.

I am arriving at IAH from Newark, NJ on Continental/United and departing to San Jose, Costa Rica also on Continental/United. I have only 31 minutes to change planes. Is this enough time--assuming everything is on time?

Considering buying tickets but they only allow 40 minutes on United for gate transfer (no gate, concourse info available yet). Seems terribly short. Just how "makeable is this?"

    1. United serves Concourses A (gates A1-32), Concourse C(gates C30-17, with a walkway to C14-1 and Concourse D (gates D1-29) Note, however, that currently only the A & C gates are connected in their center by the underground Aerotrain, making its continuous loop, while the D gates are served by a shuttle mobile lounge. Yes you can make it on time if you know where to go. Your ticket will indictate your arrival/departure, i.e., gate A30, C20, etc.).

We arrive on flight 471 United, and depart flight 1131 United.. we have a 50 minute connection time, is this enough and what terminals do we arrive and depart from?

    1. You need to look at your ticket for your gate number: United serves both Terminals C & E. C gates are C14-24 & C29-45; E gates are E12-24 & E1-11. (Always check flight screens on arrival for departing gates & time). If arriving at gates C29-45 & transferring to Terminal E: walk towards gates C14-24 & proceed straight on to Terminal E. the above-ground TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security. 2. NOTE - If you happen to be an international arrival you will be processed at the international arrivals building, part of Terminal E, where you will go through customs & take the escalator down to Baggage Claim Level 1. From there go through Exit Control and enter to the right the baggage recheck area, and straight out arrive at the International Arrivals Lobby which has an escalator down to the Inter-terminal train serving Terminals A, B & C - allowing for a very tight schedule.
