  • Mia to ord connection

Mia flight leaves at 10:55am and arriving at ord at 1:15pm on aa. Will I have enough time to catch my flight to duss at 3:55 on aa?

Terminal3 of O'Hare Airport is served by American's domestic flights & its international departures. T3 has Concourses G, H ,K & L (with corresponding gates) - just follow signs to your connecting concourse. You have plenty of time.

    Thank you!

My fiance will be arriving to the Frankfurt airport through Qatar Airways, then he has 2 hours and 20 minutes to make it to his next flight which is operated by US airways in another terminal. Will he be able to make it to his next flight and what will he have to do in order to make it to his next flight such as security, customs, etc.? He wont have any baggage to check in at that point. Thank you

Yes that will be enough time for transfer. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/fra, click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • Terminal 2 to terminal 1

I have a connecting flight April 29 between delta terminal 2 and air france terminal . 76 minutes if on time. Delta says it's a legal connection but I am wondering if it really is enough time being as I must relearn security at t1?

On arrival at Terminal 2 take the 'Airline Terminals Train' (marked on JFK's maps in yellow) running counter-clockwise from T1 to T8, T7, T5, T4 & T2/3) and taking only minutes between them. Your connecting terminal is T1 (Air France) - however, if you did not buy your flights on one ticket, you would need to claim your bags at T2, take them on the train to T1, proceed to AirFrance check-in counter & check them in there before continuing to your connecting gate.

I am flying Aer Lingus from Dublin to Boston and then connecting to jetblue to fly to Washington DC. It seems that I have to collect my bags,go through customs, make my way from terminal E to terminalC, check in my bag at the jetblue counter, and make my way to the connecting flight. I have 2 hours 20 minutes between flights. Is this enough time?

Use Dublin Airport's U.S. Pre-Clearance service at Terminal 2 near gates 401-406, saving time upon arrival at the U.S. If you bought both flights on one ticket, your bags will be automatically transferred to JetBlue flight - if not, you would have to claim your bags & check them in with JetBlue. International arrivals use Terminal E; JetBlue uses Terminal C for its domestic flights. You can walk over or take the shuttle bus, either way you need to go through security check at TC, before proceeding to your connecting gate. you have plenty of time!

Hi i have 60 min connectivity time to catch the stockholm flight in frankfurt. will it be easy or what is the best way to reachstockholm termainal quick,

Your arrival & departure depends on which airline you take. Frankfurt Airport is well organized and easy to transfer. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/fra, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • PHL Terminal transfer from ? to F. Do I have enough time?
    Apr 20, 2014

Hi. I'm flying from Orlando MCO (US Airways) to Montreal YUL (Canada) with a transfer in PHL. I don't now at what terminal I will get off the first plane, but I know the second one is at terminal F (Air Wisconsin dab US Airways Express). The ticket says that I will need to check-in with US Airways at Terminal F. Will I need to go through security again? Customs (Hopefully not)? Is a 1h15 layover time enough?

While you will arrive at Concourse A-East, you need to take the US Airways shuttle bus departing from gate A1 to Terminal F, gate F14. You have enough time, no security check needed.

I am traveling from Montreal to Las Vegas with stopover of 50 min , arriving from Montreal with united ( operated by Air Canada),leaving to Las Vegas with United, is it Ok with 50 min to go to next flight an luggage to be transferred to next flight , I am Canadian ....Thanks

Use US customs clearance at Montreal Airport. You arrive & depart from the Jeppeson Terminal, but may arrive via Air Canada at Concourse A & depart with United at Concouse B - the underground AGTS train takes only 5 minutes between the two Concourses - no security check needed.

  • FRA - PHI - LAX - how do I change the flight in PHI?
    Apr 20, 2014

I'm flying with US Airways flight 701 from Frankfurt to Los Angeles with stop-over in Philadelphia. Recently the stop-over has been changed into a plane change... I'm not sure if I will have enough time - around 120 minutes and it says that I will land at Terminal 2 and take over from terminal 3. Does this mean I will have to exit through immigration, take my bags and reenter? Taking into account that I fly in basing on a VISA, I remember that the queues tend to be long as hell... Any hints?

Your customs clearance will be on arrival at PHL, which does not have numbered terminals, but Terminals TA through TF. Two hours is plenty of time for transfer (Open www.ifly.com/phl & click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', then scroll down to the detailed text.

Thanks a lot for that comment. I'm still a bit concerned that the line for immigration clearance for non-US citizens may make it impossible to make it within two hours... but - we'll see. Do you maybe know if there is a website where I'm able to check in advance which terminal does the first flight arrive at and the second leaves?

  • short layover time

On May 12, 2014 I will be arriving on United 4110 from Tulsa and connecting to United 456 with a 38 min layover. I was wondering if i will have to switch terminals. Any info would be greatly appreciated as I've never been to IAH. Thanks!

    United uses Terminals A, B, C & E. The above-ground TerminaLink train inside security starts at Terminal A station & connects terminals A, B, C, D/E (a 30 mins transfer)- a very tight connection.

My flight DL1654 arrives at 9:01pm. I need to catch my next flight DL0105 at the international at 10:10pm. Do I have enough time? Do I need to go through security again?

Yes you have enough time. On arrival at ATL, take the underground Plane Train to the International Terminal (check first with overhead screens for flight & gate number - (E gates or F gates - IT-E or IT-F). I suggest you open www.ifly.com/atl then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • AA to LAN time concern
    Apr 18, 2014

I just learned that, in the interest of time, I should claim my checked bag when arriving MIA and make haste. I was not aware that I have to go through security again. Does this mean a huge general security line with my bag a second time? Or do I simply rush to LAN counter and check and then at some point go through security? My flight arrives at 1:50 pm and LAN leaves At 5:10 on a Wednesday.

Correction, the incoming flight ifrom Charlotte is USAIR and this week appears to be using gate E4. Time concerns!

  • Kitchener to Chicago one hour to make connection
    Apr 18, 2014

We are flying from Kitchener, Ontario to Portland, Oregon with a one hour connection in Chicago, I know we have to go from terminal 5 to terminal 3. We are flying with American Airlines. Will our luggage go straight to the plane or will we have to collect it before going to Terminal 5? Is one hour going to be enough time? Thanks.

No, one hour is not enough time. You need to go through US Immigration, claim your baggage, go through US customs, re-check your bags, and then take the ATS Train to Terminal 3, then go through security and to your gate. It's very hard to do that in an hour. For some reason American has been selling a lot of illegal connections on that Kitchener flight, probably because the software doesn't realize that it requires clearing immigration in Chicago. Unless you're willing to risk it, you need to call American and get your flight changed or refunded.

Thanks for your response, after a lengthy call to AA and US AIr, they insist this is a legal connection and that we should make it. So I guess we will risk it!

  • Layover time for international to domestic terminal
    Apr 18, 2014

My spouse and MIL landing at IAH by Qutar air line and changing their flight for departure to Dallas. Layover time is about 90 minutes, if both flights will in time. is 90 minute time, enough to complete all customs, security, US entry related formalities and transit with baggage from terminal D to Terminal E and then to terminal A for catching flight for Dallas? We do not have any idea about IAH. Please note that my MIL is senior citizen and aged lady. Can any one deliberate activities wise time needed and help us. Thanks in advance.

    It should be enough time.

International Arrivals at Terminal D go through secure corridors, walk across the sky bridges to adjoining Federal Inspection Services (FIS), where they will claim baggage & clear U.S. Customs; if continuing journey, re-check in bags at recheck counters and proceed to the Arrivals Lobby, where an escalator down to the Inter-Terminal Train will take you to your connecting terminal. Note: Terminal E is exclusively for United's International flights - its domestic flights are out of Terminals B (B gates) & C (C gates) which could look like this on your ticket: TB-B or TB; TC-C or TC). If indeed your connection to IAD is via Qatar, would be out of TE, a tunnel connects TD to TE. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/iah, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text

Your Qatar flight arrives in Terminal D, which shares immigration with Terminal E. If you are flying American to DFW, that will depart out of Terminal A.

Dear. frapr14, can i have your e mail ID. I assume you have rich experience at IAH. Thank you very much for guidance.

You are right, flight arrives at TD, and AA to DFW depart from TA. From map it is learn that there is much distance between TE and TA, so i would like to know 90 minutes shall enough or not. What happens if QR 713 late by 10 to 15 minutes. shall all procedure can be completed within 1 hour, including transportation of baggage and moving TE to TA after processing customs/immigration. Thanks.

  • T3-TBIT

What is the easiest way to get to TBIT from T3. Is walking possible? if yes, can you give me any direction?

TBIT is west of T3 (walk to the right when you emerge outdoors. You can also catch the free shuttle "parking lot C" as that shuttle stops at all terminals. (You won't go to parking lot C, you'll just catch that shuttle under the blue LAX Shuttle sign).

It is much faster to walk than to take the shuttle. T3 and the TBIT are right next to each other. Just walk to the right as you exit T3, either on the arrivals or departures level.

  • 1 hr 20 min Impossible transfer time?
    Apr 18, 2014

Hi, I'm arriving with a Delta flight at 4:10 PM from Milan. I have AA tickets to Miami departing at 5:30 PM ( they changes time after I purchased tickets and it's last flight of day). It's impossible to clear customs, collect bags, check bags and change terminals in that amount of time?

That will be really tough. It's possible if your Milan flight is early, but still very difficult. You will probably have to transfer the bags yourself and probably get to T8 after the bag cutoff. You could request a refund from AA considering they changed the time on you and book a flight on JetBlue to Fort Lauderdale (I assume they have one later than 5:30 PM).
