Hi, I would like to know if I have enough time for my transit because I'll arrive in JFK at 12:45pm with AA (from London) and i should take a United flight to SFO at 3:30pm. Almost it's 2 separated book and the terminal is respectfully T8 and T7. Thanks for your answer

Hi. Got revised itinerary from AC and my 1hr25m connection is now down to 57 minutes. Arriving from Lihue on UA into T3. Departing on AC from International Term. It looks like the walk is not too long, but do we have to go thru security? Good news is that it is late at night, bad news is my party includes 3 small kids. Is this connection feasible even if inbound flight is on time? Thx!

Some Air Canada flights depart from the side of the International Terminal that doesn't require going through security and some do. You should still have enough time if your flight is on-time.

Thanks for this. Last night's flight to YYZ went from gate G91 which I guess - based on its proximity to terminal 3 - would be a gate that would not require me to go through security?

Hello, I arrive in Rome (Terminal 1) with Singapore Airlines at 07:50 and due to fly out of Rome to Split, Croatia on Vueling at 10:05. Will this be enough time to clear immigrations, get luggage and make the flight? Are both Vueling and Singapore Airlines in Terminal 1? Thanks

No, both airlines are in Terminal 3. You will have a hard time making that connection since they are two separate tickets.

SFO to CDG... changing planes in Newark early April... am I correct that my bags will be checked thru to final destination and that I do not have to go thru security again ?

sorry I should have said I am flying United...

Yes, assuming you bought both flights together your bags will be transferred and you only have to walk between your arrival gate and your departure gate.

IAD only has one terminal. Yes, you should have enough time for your transfer.

Will this be enough time to get on the plane to PUJ?? 40min seems do-able but for sure will be cutting it close. Thoughts???

    flying delta through out.

Yes, it is doable but no room to spare for delays.

I am flying Korean Air flight 18 from LAX to ICN and connecting to Korean Air flight 471 to RGN. The connection time is 45 minutes. Considering that I have to go through immigration upon arrival at ICN, will I have enough time to make the connection?

Hey all, I got a AA flight landing in DFW 3/11 at 8:15pm and an Qantas flight leaving DFW at 9:10pm. Everything I've read says 50 minutes minimum, I got 55 if all goes well. Just wondering if I should be worried. thanks

That should be plenty of time. The SkyLink train can get you between any two gates in under 10 minutes.

How often does security area shuttle run (time interval)? Also, how long does the shuttle take from Terminal F to terminal A?

The Shuttle runs almost constantly - lots of people use it. It will take maybe 15 minutes to get to Terminal A.

  • Connecting Flights Advice

Hi, This is only my second time flying and I'm doing so alone, so I'm quite nervious/anxious. I'm looking for any advice cause the internet can only do so much.. My carrier for both flights is United. My flight leaves Pittsburgh at 5:23am & is scheduled to arrive at 7:03am. It says the flight is United Express. From what I gathered it will be arriving in Terminal C (Level 1). I got this information from Newark Flight status. I then have a 53 minute connecting time. My second flight departs Newark at 7:56am for Ft.Lauderdale. Operated by United, flight status says out of Terminal C (Guessing Level 2 or 3). What is the process for this? I've never done connecting flights before, and I know the time frame isn't the biggest of gaps. Should I be okay? I arrive then what do I have to do, check in? Go through security again? Any information is helpful, encouraged, and appreciated. Thank you

Yes, the 5:23 AM flight from PIT to EWR arrives in terminal C and all flights to FLL depart from Terminal C. All you have to do is follow the signs from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You can download the United App to your phone and it will help you by giving you the location of your second gate and if the flight is on-time or not. You do not have to go through security or do anything. You will get both boarding passes when you check-in online or at the airport in Pittsburgh or even on the app.

  • 1.10 layover from AMS to MCO via IAH
    Mar 5, 2015

Hi, I have a flight booked from AMS to MCO (LH7987 operated by United) on May 1. ETA on IAH is14:45 at terminal E, connecting flight (U1644) depatures at 15:55 from terminal C. So a layover of 1.10 with 2 kids. Is that layover realistic, dealing with migration, bagage claim and transfer, transfer to gate , getting out of the plan etc? Thanks!

No, that is not realistic. You need at least 90 minutes, preferably a little longer, to make that connection.

Hi there I've never flown into IAD before and my connection time from IAD to Duabi is only 1:15 mins I don't have checked luggage is this enough time? I'm so worried that my arrival and departure gates will be in different terminals/concourses

IAD only has one Terminal. All gates are connected inside security. Worst case is you will have to take a short shuttle or train ride to concourse C/D where your flight to Dubai will depart (assuming you are flying United to Dubai). You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto.

  • Layover from YOW to SJU, and SJU to YYZ
    Mar 5, 2015

Hello, I'm about to book a flight from YOW to SJU (YOW to IAD (UA3375) then IAD to SJU (UA1202)) and the return is from SJU to YYZ (SJU to IAD (UA1722), then IAD to YYZ (UA3371). The two trips have an one hour and 51 min layover, respective. I'm not sure whether this is enough time (given the flights are all on time). Are you able to help verify whether the gate to SJU in IAD is in a close enough area, that I could make the flight? Or is it cutting it too close? Any help is greatly appreciated!

That should be possible. On your way to SJU you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Ottawa. You may have to take a short shuttle or train ride from concourse A where you may arrive to concourse C or D where you will depart. All gates at IAD are connected inside security You have enough time both ways if your flights are on-time.

Thank you so much!!! Here's hoping it all goes well :)

I have 2:40 hours between my arrival from Belize and then to catch the BA flight back to London - is that sufficient time? Do we need to clear customs? How long does it take to transfer?

Did you book your tickets separately or together. You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags with British Airways then go through security. You should have barely enough time.

    i book the tickets separetly

how much time do you think it will take then? flight arrives at 3pm on Tues 10th March and BA departs 5:40pm on same day ie 2:40 mins later.

Checked United flight times and it appears the arrival is now schedule 8mins earlier at 2:48 so now 2:52 hours to transfer.

You will probably be out of customs by about 3:50 at the latest. So that's still nearly 2 hours before your BA flight. It might take you 10 minutes to get to the BA check in desk, so as long as your flight from BZE is on-time, you should be OK.

We are travelling on UK passports will that make any difference as not US citizens?

Oh yes and we are travelling biz with United and First with BA?

Sorry ZAP but you did not reply to make last 2 queries if i may ask again? We are travelling on UK passports will that make any difference as not US citizens? We are travelling biz with United and First with BA? does the above affect the position at all.
