  • Terminal Transfer

We are flyin in to Terminal 5 from London, transfering to another flight to Denver from Terminal 3. Both flights are with AA - do we have to retrieve our bags and re-check them in or will they be transferred for us? If we have to retrieve them and recheck in do we do this at T3 or can we do it at T5. We have 3 hours between flights - this should be long enough shouldn't it?

    1. On arrival you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and then re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). 2. Thereafter, proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System where you can easily connect to Terminal 3 for your domestic flight. A free shuttle train running every few minutes can take you there (T3 is the first stop). Estimated time between arrival at T5 and arrival at T3 - at the most 70 mins.

coming from Medora, IL. dropping someone off for a american airlines to Dallas tx where do I drop off at

    1. For driving direction visit: flystl.com/flystl/airport-information/directions/ 2. American Airlines uses Terminal 1 (Concourse D) - your marked dropoff curb is on the lower level.

Drop off paassengers on Departing Flights Drive, which is the UPPER level, NOT the lower level as advised

  • Multi Airline Arrivals 1 pickup?

Please suggest a shuttle pick-up spot for conference participants arriving on multiple airlines.

I would suggest you meet up at the Tom Bradley (TBIT or TB) terminal's arrivals area in front of or near the Information desk. If too crowded ask the clerk to direct you & them to a convenient place.

I'm ariving at Terminal 7 at 12:33 and have a connecting flight at terminal 8 at 1:38. Is this enough time to get from one terminal to the next?

  • Which terminal for pickup

Which terminal do go to pick up a passenger coming in on flight W.S. 1926 . from Regina, Sask. Canada

    1. Air Canada arrives at Terminal 4; Alaska at Terminal 2; You can either park in the adjacent parking garages of those terminals, or you can use one of the 2 the Cell phone lots: (a) located off I-10 (Papago Freeway), on Sky Harbor Blvd., across from the West Economy Garage and close to Terminal 2; and (b) Off Hohokam Expwy 143, or Hwy 202, and close to 44th St. at Terminal 4. The lots have a total of 90 spaces, signage with all airline telephone numbers, an electronic flight information display, and an attendant from 7am-1am. Stay with your car until your party has collected luggage and calls you to be picked up at the curb. If you need more than 30 minutes, use the dedicated short-term parking spaces in the parking garages.

I have 53 minutes to get from terminal B to terminal E. Will I have enough time?

No problem - the above-ground TerminaLink train connects all trains inside security.

  • Terminal 2 to 3

Arriving Air Zealand from Melbourne Fl NZ006 at 10.15am. Connecting Flight "Alaska Air" to Washington DC Terminal 3 at 13.00. Would I have sufficient time to go thru immigration and how do I go from Terminal 2 to 3. Could I re-check my luggage at Interline Transfer Desk at Terminal 2 or do I take it to Terminal 3. My first trip to the States. Please advise urgently

    1. You need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in bag - contact Air New Zealand if they transfer bags to Alaska flight at LAX - not all airlines do - if not, you need to re-check-in your bag at Terminal 3. (the baggage tags should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). - count on 30-45 mins for this procedure. Both T2 & T3 are situated on the same side of the U-shaped terminal complex; it is not clear whether you can walk from T2 to T3. However, you can take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins - you only have one stop. At T3 you need to go through security again, before proceeding to your gates. You have plenty of time and can eat before moving on.

Thank you for your helpful info

  • Terminal 4 to Terminal B
    Jan 2, 2012

I am flying into Terminal 4 at LAX on American Airlines and connecting with a departing flight out of Terminal B. What is the fastest way to get there? One of the maps I see makes it appear as though they are in the same place. Is this true? Not a lot of time between connecting flights and don't want to be running around in circles (or a horseshoe)

A secure connection is now available between TB (Tom Bradley Terminal) and T4. (no need to go through security check again). Just follow signs.

  • Will we make our flight

we arrive from Ixtapa MX at Terminal E and have 1 hr. 13 min. to go through customs and make it to our flight that leaves from Terminal B. Can this be done?

Upon arrival you will be processed in the International Arrivals building - part of Terminal E (TE). Make sure at Ixtapa your bags will be properly tagged to end destination and that your airline to IAH will transfer bags to your connecting flight (if by a different airline) - not all airlines do that. Allow for the inspection process 45-50 mins to be safe. After customs inspection you take the escalator down to baggage claim level 1; then go through exit control and enter to the right the baggage recheck area. Straight out you arrive at International Arrivals Lobby - there, take the escalator down to the below-ground inter-terminal Train, making its continuouss loop, to Terminal B, where go through security check and up to your gate. Your time is sufficient, even if you need to take your bag along and re-check it in in Terminal B.

I'll arrive IAH Terminal B at 8:10 AM and need to transfer to Terminal C to fly to Canada at 9:10AM. Both take the continental ailine. The layover is only 1h. Will the time enough for me?

I have 1hr 15min...I'm arriving to Terminal A from YYC, so I will need to pick up my luggage and clear customs and get all the way to Terminal E. Is this going to be enough time? Will I be clearing customs in TA or TE or another terminal? I will be able to catch the train from TA to TE and get there in a timely matter, correct?

We are arriving to Terminal 2 via Air Canada from Toronto at 8:35 pm. We are connecting to a Quantas flight from Terminal 4 at 11:25 pm. Do we have to pick up our baggage or will it be transferred automatically? Do we have to go through customs? What's the process and do we have enough time?

    1. Toronto has U.S. customs clearance, so you need not go through U.S. arrivals procedures. However, contact Air Canada to make sure they will transfer your bags to Qantas (not all airlines do). 2. You have only one transfer option: Take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Terminals 4 and 2 are on opposite sides of the u-shaped terminal complex. Your next stop after T2 is T3, TBIT, and T4 - 3 stops taking about 7 mins.

i am arriving from Gulfport, ms at 1107 and my next flight to San Antonio is at 1145. Will I have enough time from my arrival to make it to my connecting flight?

You arrive at & depart from one of the domestic terminals TA, TB & TC, depending on which airline you take. Look at your ticket to see gate number (i.e., gate A15, B64, C12). TA has gates A1-30; TB has gateways at each corner of a square with gates B60-88; and TC is divided into east gates C14-24 & west gates C29-45. Use the above-ground TerminaLink train connecting all terminals inside security comes around every few minutes. You need to hurry.

We have only 40 minutes between flights. What is the best way to go from terminal 1 t terminal 2?

1.Terminal 1 (T1) has B & C gates, while T2 has E & F gates. You can walk from T1's secured area to T2's F gates; 2. You can also, on arrival, go down to the arrivals level, and take the tunnel to T2, where you would have to go through security check again before proceeding to your gates. 3. Note that T2's gateway area splits in a Y formation between Concourses E and F. Concourses E & F both have 14 gates – with gates F11A,B & C being on the Lower Level. Look at your ticket to see which gate you depart from (i.e., C10, F10).

  • transfer from B to 5

I'm an international student from Japan. Is it possible to transfer from Terminal B to 5 within only 2 hours?

    1. As an international arrival at the Tom Bradley Terminal ("TB" or TBIT"), you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and thereafter re-check-in your bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). 2. After going through international arrivals procedures and exiting the terminal, Terminals 4 through 8 are to your right . Board the blue-marked LAX bus route A on lower arrivals level island in front of TBIT, under sign "LAX Shuttle Airline Connection", which runs every 12-15 minutes, making its first stop at T4 and then at T5 - taking no more than 5 minutes. 4. As you have plenty of time, you can eat or shop in the terminals before boarding your plane.

Is 27 minutes enough time to arrive at terminal 3 and board a departing flight from terminal 2?

    T3 has a walkway near gate 18 to T2.

We are arriving from TYS and leaving Continental Airlines to Honolulu. Which terminal should we be running to and we have 1 1/4 hours btwn planes. Will we have enough time?

Presuming you also arrive by Continental, which uses all three domestic terminals, you need to look at your ticket to establish your arrival & departure terminal & gate. Terminal A (TA) has A gates A1-30; TB gates B60-88; TC gates C14-45. The above-ground TerminaLink connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time for transfer.

What is best way to get from terminal 1 to 3? my friend has a connector flight at 11:04 tonight and her plane just landed. She is from Canada, does she have to go thru customs too?

Some major Canadian Airport have U.S. customs clearance, in which case she merely needs to take on arrival the Red & Blue Line of the AirTrain - an automated people mover, which connects the terminals.
