Terminal 1 to terminal 3Nov 1, 201111I am arriving by China eastern Airline from Shanghai 1315 and have a transit flight by Delta Airlines to Miami at 1555Hrs, do I have enough time? What are the transport available between the terminals and how long does it take? Thx a lotBernadposted on Tue, Nov 11 person likes this post [ Like ]1. As an international arrival, you need to count on at least 45 mins to go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs control and re-check-in your properly tagged (with all 3 AP codes) bags. You arrive at JFK's Terminal 1 and depart at Terminals 3 (gates 1-18. 2. The free Airtrain runs every 7-15 minutes, depending on the time of day. T1's station is at Arrivals level, outside, center, T3's station is outside domestic arrivals. The train takes only minutes between them.MUCposted on Tue, Nov 1

Nov 1, 201110I arrivingin nov 2 from Manila in Philippines airlines at 20.00 hrs. and have a connection fly with Alaska airlines going to Portland at Nov 3, 6:30 am what can i do?kikegrauposted on Tue, Nov 11. You arrive at LAX at the TBIT (or TB) terminal and depart from Terminal 3. 2. An an international arrival at LAX Airport you need to first go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance, then re-check-in your properly tagged (with codes of all 3 airports) bags (your bags will automatically arrive in Portland.) Even though LAX has nearly 50 hotel/motels located right on-Airport property and the Tom Bradley terminal offers free phone boards in the baggage area, connecting to hotels/motels, many of which offer free shuttle services, you may also be able to stay overnight at the Airport. In the morning you can proceed to Terminal 3 by using the secure connector (T3 is to the left of Tom Bradley terminal).HH39posted on Tue, Nov 1

ORD TO HONG KONGNov 1, 201120I arrive at on Delta at terminal 3 and depart from terminal 5 for Hong Kong. I have about 2 hours but will have to pick up baggage and recheck them for other carrier. Can I make it ok?jftjr1posted on Mon, Oct 311. Only international arrivals need to go through baggage recheck. At your original departure airport, make sure that your checked bags are tagged for all 3 airport codes so that they arrive safely in Hong Kong. 2. A shuttle train, the ATS, runs between T5 (he ATS level) & T4 and takes only minutes. You have plenty of time.1039posted on Tue, Nov 1

bus or train to terminal CNov 1, 201110Hi there, I am travelling from Ottawa (Yow) to Belize City via Newark (1h30mins layover). Both flights are continental. Can someone tell me if I will need to pick up and re-check my baggage and if I will have to go through customs? I do not understand why I can't just change terminals if I am already precleared in Ottawa?kimposted on Mon, Oct 31These are Ottawa Airport rules: "Flight connection from an International flight to the United States: If your flight originated outside of Canada or the U.S. and you need to connect to a US destination, you have two options depending on whether your airline automatically transfers your baggage or not: (a) if it does, and you have a boarding pass to your connecting flight, proceed via a connecting flights corridor (avoiding Canadian Customs), go through US Customs and your checked baggage will be automatically transferred (US Customs, at their discretion, can recall your baggage for manual inspection). (b) if the airline does not offer auto transfer of your baggage, you have to pick it up from the carousel & follow first normal international arrivals procedures, then U.S. ones." In short, if Ottawa is one of the Canadian APs offering US customs clearance, you don't have to go through customs in Newark, but either way time is sufficient. The Airtrain connects all 3 terminals and takes minutes.MUCposted on Tue, Nov 1

getting from terminal 8 to Bradley interOct 31, 201110hi, I arrive at T8 18.30 from San Luis Obispo. I need to get to international terminal for 20.40 departure to UK. do I have enough time to get to terminal, chck in and thru security in time ? Will my bags be checked straight thru from United to BA ? tHANKS FOR YOUR HELP.briantposted on Sun, Oct 30First of all - you have plenty of time! The 9 terminals at LAX are arranged in a horseshoe formation, with TBIT, the international terminal, also referred to as Tom Bradley terminal, is in the curve, with T4-T8 to the right and T3-T1 to the left. You need to take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops after T8 are T1, T2, T3 and TBIT - 4 stops - 10 minutes. At TBIT you need to go through security again. Thereafter enjoy what the terminal offers and be at the gate area no later than 30 mins. prior to scheduled departure.1039posted on Mon, Oct 31

What terminalOct 31, 201120We fly in on UA980 and depart UA3776, What is the distance between terminals?Kayposted on Fri, Oct 281. If you arrive on an international flight and connect to a domestic flight: (a) Unless you have gone through US customs clearance by participating airports in Canada and the Caribbean, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). (b) thereafter proceed up one level to Airport Transit System ATS and take train to domestic terminals 1, 2 or 3 (running every few mins). 2. If you arrive on a domestic flight, UA & UA Express serves both T1 & T2. - T1 has B&C gates; T2 has E&F gates. Both T1 & T2 are connected by a pedestrian tunnel, also around B gates is a walkway to some F gates. While most E&F gates are on the Mezzanine level of T2, the F11A,B,C gates are on the lower level. Look at your ticket indicating your gates (B14, F12, etc.)1039posted on Sat, Oct 29

DirectionsOct 28, 201110Arriving on an international United flight from Canada and con't on another United flight - where do I go re: baggage pick-up ? Where do I go to go through security from there and where do I go to depart on another United flight ?L805Uposted on Fri, Oct 28Canada has a number of Airports which offer pre-clearance for travelers heading to the U.S. If your Airport does not have such service, you need to go through passport check, pick up your bag, go through customs clearance and then recheck-in your bag, which should have all three Airport codes on the tag. You arrive and depart from Concourse B, which has gates B15-37, B38-61 and B62-79 & B80-95. (look at your ticket to see which gate you continue on.HH39posted on Fri, Oct 28
