Hi, we are arriving from Istanbul with Turkish airlines and will continue to Mexico city with İnterjet airlines. We will have 3 hours time for the connection. Do we have to go through the customs in JFK? Do you think we will have enough time?

Hi We're coming in on Brussels Airlines SN515 on a friday at 18.55 and flying on with UA647 at 20.30. Do we have to go through immigration, get our bags, recheck them and go through security again? And do we have enough time? Thanks.

I am flying into ORD from EWR on United and have 41 minutes to get to my connecting United fight to CVG. Does anyone know if this will be in the same terminal and if it's enough time between flights?

Your flight from EWR will arrive in Terminal 1 and your flight to CVG could depart from Terminal 1 or 2. However, Terminal 1 and 2 are connected inside security by walkways, so you should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

We will be arriving in terminal A and going to terminal C. How long will it take to get there?

10-15 minutes. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.

  • Can you get from Concourse C to A in 50 minutes

I only have 50 minutes between flights. I arrive at gate C and leave on gate A. Is it possible to arrive on time. Can you walk between gates.

The upper level of ACY is divided into gates 1-6 (left) and 7-10 (right). ACY has no C & A gates. Look for directional signs to your connecting gate. You have enough time!

What airport are you asking this about? You posted it on the page of the Atlantic City airport, which only has one concourse.

  • Long term connection in NY - JFK
    Sep 14, 2014

Hello, I and my family are going to Rome from São Paulo - Brazil through NYC - JFK by Delta. We will arrive at 07:00 AM and leave at 11:30 PM. I would like to know if we will have to take the baggage and re-check it or if it will automatically be transferred by the company. Other question is: as it is long term connection could we leave the airport and visit Manhattan or we will have to stay waiting in JFK?

Yes, you will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs. Then you will immediately re-check it with Delta after you clear customs. Once you clear customs you will be outside security and free to go wherever you want. It takes approximately 90 minutes to get from JFK to Manhattan via the AirTrain and Subway.

Hi ZAP, thank you very much. Now, it is much easy.

i have a connecting flight in seattle..im flying in form vancouver and the connecting flight is with emirates. will i hav to go through the baggage claim procedure?

Did you purchase your flight together or separately? You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver.

I will be arriving in seattle from minneapolis with a layover of 1 and 5 min, until my flight to hong kong. both flights are with delta. will i have enough time to get to my hong kong flight? will my arrival from minneapolis and departure to hong kong be in the same terminal?

Yes, that should be enough time. Seattle only has one terminal but six gate areas. Delta uses two different gate areas, however both flights will likely be in the S satellite.

Delta uses the South Satellite for both flights. All you need to do is look at overhead screens & find your connecting gate.

Arriving in JFK T2 with Delta. Have to transfer to China Eastern T1. Do I have to go through security again in T1? Is 90 minutes enough for connection? Thanks!

Yes, you will have to go through security in T1. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • 52 minute stopover in Ohare
    Sep 13, 2014

I am trying to purchase a flight for November. The flight I am looking at would have me flying from Des Moines to Ohare (for a 52 minute stopover) and then to Heathrow (London), with all my flights going from United which I believe lands and departs from Terminal 1 in Ohare. I will not have check baggage, only carryon. Is the 52 minute stopover enough time to make my connection to my intl flight via United to Heathrow? Will I have to go through customs again before boarding my intl flight? I don't want to purchase a flight i might not be able to actually work, and I obviously don't want to miss my flight. Thank you

You do not have to go through US Customs when leaving the US. All you will have to do in ORD is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Your DSM flight will arrive in Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Your LHR flight will depart from Terminal 1. Terminal 1 and 2 are connected inside security by a walkway. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. 52 minutes should be enough time.

And if there are any delays on the DSM flight arrival into Ohare--will that cause any issues?

You could be about 25-30 minutes late into O'hare and still be OK. If you're not on the last flight of the evening to London, you will be rebooked on the next flight. United has 3 daily O'Hare-London flights.

  • Arriving from SXM T4 with DL need to transfer to T 1 KE to ICN

Holding Norwegian Passport arriving at T 4 JFK from SXM need KE flt T 1 to ICN/SGN.Through flts with Skyteam tickets.Do I need to checkin again at JFK for Immigration at JFK for ICN ? Is it domestic between SXM/JFK? How do I transfer T-4 to T-1 ?

You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your luggage, and go through US CUstoms, then re-check your bags in T4 when you arrive from SXM. Then you will take the AirTrain from T4 to T1 and go through security and to your departure gate.

Thank you so much for the vital information. It will certainly help me prepare better, to get my connection from T-4 to T-1.

  • Do I need to claim luggage at ORD? (Flying from YUL to ORD to ICN)
    Sep 13, 2014

Hi, I was just wondering if I need to claim my luggage once I arrive at the ORD airport (terminal 2) to then catch my other flight to ICN in South Korea (Terminal 5). I'm travelling from YUL (Canada) to ORD with Air Canada, then from ORD to ICN with Asiana Airlines. Do I have to claim my luggage then? I'm not sure how it works. I have a 2 hr 25 min layover. And the other way around, do I need to claim my luggage at the ORD airport when I travel from ICN to ORD with Asiana Airlines, and then ORD to YUL with Air Canada? Thanks in advance!!!

On your way to Seoul you will not have to claim your luggage in ORD if you purchased your tickets together. AC should be able to tag your bags through to Asiana and you will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Montreal. You will however take the ATS Train from Terminal 2 to Terminal 5 and go through security. On the way back, you will arrive in Terminal 5, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the re-check desk then you will take the ATS Train from T5 to T2 and go through security.

I bought them on expedia on the same itinerary so it's purchased together right? Thank you so much for your help!!!!

Yes, that means it's purchased together.

    Thanks a bunch!
