  • New Flyer-luggage pickup

This is my first time flying and I will be coming from Richmond, VA. Where is the luggage pickup located so I will kow where to tell my friend to meet me. Thanks

Look for signs to the "Baggage Claim" area which is located in the Arrivals level. Above the baggage carousels are screens indicating the airline and its flight number with arrivals times. Notify your party which flight number you arrive at (look at your ticket). Good luck!

  • Wait for arriving passenger?

My son is flying into O'Hare on American Airlines over Thanksgiving. Some family of ours that has not seen him in a long time would like to wait for him as a surprise when he leaves the secured area of the arriving flight gates. Is there an area that we could go to wait for him that he would definitely walk by as he leaves the gate area of his arrived American Airlines flight? Like perhaps an area just outside of the security exit? If so, can you tell me where that area is so we can get there from the hourly parking garage? If such an area does not exist, would you recommend we instead wait in the lower area by ground transportation for him? Thanks!

Your son will arrive in Terminal 3, which has three concourses (G, H, K & L)in the secured area. All arrivals will exit the secured area in the center of those concourses. Adjacent to that exit on either side is a set of restrooms - where you could gather. Short-term parking is in the hourly parking garage on level 1, which connects by tunnel to the terminal. However, being Thanksgiving (with possible delays and long lines) you could be in for a long wait. Find out what flight number he is arriving on. Alternatively you could meet him in the baggage claim area - watch screens for arrivals times. Your son is a lucky guy!

  • layover time

I am flying into IAH on Continental form NYC and then am departing on Express Jet operated by Continental to Acapulco. We have just over an hour layover on outbound and return flights, will this be enough time?

Assuming you arrive at EWR, you arrive at Terminal C. Most likely ExpressJet leaves from the same terminal (check your ticket for gates, i.e., C2, A1, T3) gate area C1 arranged in a Y-shape with gates C70-75, C80-88 & C90-99 on each side; gate area C2 has gates C101A-115A-B (15 gates); gate area C3 has gates C12-130. The Airtrain serves all terminals after security check. An hour should be enough.

As Continental is in Terminals A, B, C & E, you need to look at your ticket which gates you arrive at (i.e., A1, B60, C14, E12) and which you depart from. The above-ground TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security; the below-ground Inter-Terminal Train connects all terminals and hotel outside security. Shuttles are available at the south side of Terminals A, B & C and the west end of Terminal D. If arriving at gates C29-45 and transferring to Terminal E: walk towards gates C14-24 and proceeds straight on to TE. Gates D1-3 of Terminal E connect to gates C14-2.

Will be flying with my Mom (in her seventies) from Calgary to Fort Lauderdale, stopover in Houston. Need to transfer from Terminal A to Terminal C. How far is the distance? What alternatives are there other other than walking? Are the baggage checked through from Calgary to Ft. Lauderdale?

  • Arriving at different Terminals

We have people coming from different parts of the country/different airlines. Some arriving in Terminal A, One B, and One C. Are walkways only available in secure area? Would it just be best to all meet in Terminal A where last person arrives? What is best way to get around so we can all meet up.

If you are arriving in Terminal E and need to make a connecting flight in another terminal, you have the following options: Use Masport's free on-Airport shuttle bus - Routes #11 or 55 - serving all terminals. Or walk: to TA - proceed to Level 3, use Bridge to TA, 0.2 mile, 5-7 mins; to TB - proceed to TC, Level 2, use walkway to TB, 0.3 mile, 7-10 mins; to TC - stay left, follow signs, 0.1 mile, 2-5 mins. For a crowd of people, best way to meet is close to the main entrances.

if could add arrival terminal information on the list, will be big help.

  • Layover time?
    Oct 17, 2011

iI'm arriving at ORD using United (Operated by UNITED EXPRESS/SKYWEST AIRLINES) at 1:52, but my layover time is only 41 min. My next flight is at 2:33, also United (Operated by UNITED EXPRESS/SHUTTLE AMERICA). Will I have enough time to get to the 2:33 flight?

You arrive & depart in Terminal 2 which has a gateway splitng in a y formation between gates E and gates F . Look at your ticket for your connecting gate (i.e., E7, F8, etc.) 41 mins is enough time.

  • Term 3 to Term 5 - how long do I need?

I'm arriving at T3 at 850pm, departing T5 (international) at 1005pm. Is this enought time?

Yes you have enough time. Upon arrival at T3 take the ATS shuttle train on the ATS level, running every few minutes and taking you to T5.

I have a flight that says I am departing from Atlanta West B Hartsfield and the ticket says that this could be a surrounding airport. Is this located in Hartsfield as normal for me or is it located somewhere else? USAirways flight to Charlotte NC

    1. From the main terminal and the main security checkpoint you get to North & South security checkpoints and their North & South Terminals. US Airways are located in the North Terminal. The APM train takes you to Concourses A-E. Your Concourse will be B,with B gates (i.e., B10, B7) - look at your ticket for the gate number).

hi flying in from chicago on AA to term 3 then trans to air pacific for n.z. ticket says to go to terminal B ??

Terminal B is the Tom Bradley International Terminal, also called TBIT. It's the next terminal to the right, inside the curve. A secure connector at T3 takes you inside the terminal to your gates at TBIT.

  • From B11 to C45 in 35 minutes?
    Oct 15, 2011

Is it possible to make this second fllight that is scheduled 35 minutes after first plane lands? Also, will the luggage make it?

    1. Make sure that you have your bags tagged with the codes of all 3 airports when checking in. In Atlanta, bags will be transferred to your next flight. 2. You can make the transfer from B to C gates by automated people mover. Unless you are an international arrival & need to go through passport & customs clearance and re-check-in your bags (taking up to 30 mins) you have enough time.

Meeting a friend at LAX Int Terminal - Is food court accessible to visitors or just passengers?

According to LAX map the food court is on the upper level (above departures level) which security control. However, there's a Bistro in the Arrivals level.

    Just answer YES or NO

  • Terminal 2, to gate 70B

I'm flying into to LAX via westjet. Arrive at terminal 2 at 6:41. Got to a United flight from to SFO from gate 70B at 8:36. I've got carry on only. Will this be an easy connection?

You arrive at T2 and depart from T7. You need to take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of T2, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. You next stops are T3, TBIT, T4, 5, 6 & 7: six stops - count on 15 minutes for the stops.

Is it one mile between Term. 1 all the way to Terminal 3 K20 gate?

Terminals 1 & 3 are connected at their gate areas. You arrive at either A or B gates and need to walk over to the K gates.

I will be arriving on a United Airlines flight. Which terminal will I be in and how do I get to the Terravision bus stop for a transfer to downtown?

    1. Terminal 5 is for international flights, with security check & Customs - presently only accommodating US & Israeli airline passengers who are being bussed to/from main building - pending the opening of new Pier C, now under construction & expected to open 2011/12. 2. Buses: Terravision (tel. +39 (0)665 958 646), with counters inside the Arrivals Halls of the terminals, offers a shuttle bus to the city center, stopping also at the Metro station 'Lepanto' and the main railroad station 'Termini'. The trip costs 9 EU.

Is there a Starbucks in the TBIT at LAX?
