I am flying in from Amsterdam to JFK arriving at 11.49am on 26th May in Terminal 4. I have a connecting flight (booked separately) with Delta at 12.59pm on the same day from JFK to Tulsa- What is the likelihood that I make this connection? I was considering booking a flight for 14.45pm with either AA or US airways that day in case I miss my connection- is this enough time?

Hello we're flying with Delta from Brussels to Los Angeles with a 85 minute connection in Atlanta. We will have to change terminal but I don't know them yet. Will we have enough time to go through US Immigration and Customs and then change terminal ? Thanks.

I am arriving CDG Terminal 2A at 755AM from Philadelphia. Would I have enough time to collect bags, go thru customs and then get to the 10:16AM TGV train departure?

Yes, that should be plenty of time.

Hello, I will be flying to the US from London and will land at JFK Terminal 8 at 15:40. I will then have to catch a flight to Washington Ronald Reagan at 16:55, also from Terminal 8, leaving a transfer time of 1hr15mins . My flights were all booked at the same time and so are all on one ticket. Will this be enough time and will I have to collect my luggage and re-check or not? I've read conflicting things. Never flown to the US so all advice is appreciated!

That is 15 minutes shorter than the recommended connection time for such a connection. Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, go through security and to your departure gate.

  • Enough time between flights?

Hi, I will be arriving in LAX from Copenhagen (Norwegian Airlines) at 18:30 and will be taking a flight from LAX to PHX (Southwest airlines) at 20:25. Is this enough time to go through customs, collect my bag, and then re-check it in with Southwest? Thanks

It will be quite difficult. You will have to hope your Norwegian flight is on-time and that lines in immigration are short, then go left (do not follow the signs for connecting passengers), exit the International Terminal, and run to your left (against the flow of vehicle traffic) until you get to Terminal 1. Lines in T1 can be bad but are generally less bad late in the day. You can check-in for your Southwest flight online before you leave Copenhagen.

  • Questions about travelling between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3

Hello I land in Terminal 2, with an AirCanada flight at 10:41am, and my next flight is is Terminal 3 at 11:50am with a US Airways flight. Will I have have enough time to get to the flight?? And will I have to get my luggage or go through security? Thank you.

Just to clarify my above comment. The tickets were all purchased together, it is a layover.

If the tickets were bought together you should not have to claim your bags or go through security. You can walk from T2 to T3 inside security. Just walk to the base of T2 and make a right.

Also, yes, you should have enough time if your first flight is on-time and also you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Canada.

I am travelling into Washington Dulles from Orlando, landing at 1120 on UA 1298. My connection flight is from Washington Dulles to Narita, Japan at 1220 on NH001. I will have checked in luggage. Can you please let me know if I need to clear customs at Washington Dulles and do I need to collect my bags at Dulles and check them through again? Is the one hour layover too tight? Thanks!

No, you do not go through US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate on the C or D concourse to your departure gate on the B concourse using the AeroTrain.

Do I need to collect my bags, go through immigration and then recheck my bags before getting on my connecting flight? If so, I have 90 minutes in between flights. I

Yes, you need to do precisely that. You should barely have enough time if everything goes smoothly. If you miss your connection, thankfully American flies lots of flights from DFW to LGA that you can be rebooked on.

Hi, I am traveling from Milan Maplensa to Houston IAh via frankfurt, where I have just 1 hour 15 min layover. Do you thin it's enough? Do you have any advice to save time? And which kind of control do I have to pass through in Frankfurt? Thank you

I forgot to specify that frisr flight is Lufthansa, second one United Airlines (Lufthansa group). Thanks

You will just go through Schengen Exit Passport control in Frankfurt. You should have enough time.

Hi, I am traveling from Bogota to Fort Lauderdale, the flight arrives at 6:55pm and then the second flight departs to Detroit (both Spirit flights) at 8:20pm... Is that enough time?... (When going back DET-FLL-BOG: the first flight arrives at 9:14am and the flight to Bogota departs at 10:25am...same airline...same question) Thanks.

Yes, it should be enough time in both connections. However, if your flight from Bogota is late you will probably be stuck in FLL overnight and that probably means sleeping on the floor.

What airlines are you flying? Were your tickets purchased separately or together? Will you have checked bags? I can't really answer this question without that info.
