  • Is a 37-minute layover enough time

to make my connection in Salt Lake City? Both flights are Delta. When I called Delta, the gentleman said the minimum layover to make a connection is 40 minutes.

37 is enough time. SLC Airport isn't that big by hub standards and all Delta gates are connected inside security. However, it leaves very little time to spare if your first flight is delayed.

My BA flight is from London (10:30 at T3) and the Vueling flight to Palermo (12:50 from T3) is on separate tickets. Enough time? Many thanks.

Yes, that should be enough time. Especially if you don't check a bag.

  • 56 minutes from Terminal C to B

I'm arriving from Las Vegas at Terminal C (United) and will leave for Dusseldorf at Terminal B (operated by Lufthansa). I have purchased one ticket with Lufthansa. I have a layover of 56 minutes. Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible but it leaves very little time to spare if your first flight is delayed. United does run a shuttle bus to Terminal b.

Hello, I will be arriving on BA to T3 at 10:30 with checked luggage. Making connection at T3 with Vueling to Palmero at 12:50. Do I have enough time for immigration and collect luggage, re-check in?

    That should be enough time.

  • Delta domestic to international terminal in 1 hr 42 min?

Five of us traveling together with Delta flight from SLC to JFK arriving 5:48 pm (unknown terminal). Departing on Delta flight at 7:30 pm to Frankfurt. All tickets bought at same time, same airline, one ticket for whole trip. Can we make this connection? What can we do to make this as quick and smooth as possible? We have luggage and are US citizens. Youngest is 12 yr old. Thanks for your help.

Yes, that is a pretty easy connection. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You will arrive in Terminal 2 or 4 and depart from Terminal 4. If you arrive in 2, Delta runs a shuttle bus inside security to 4.

Thank you so much! So I don't need to go through baggage claim and customs and re-checkin? That's great! Was worried.

No, you do not go through US customs when leaving the US. You will go through Schengen passport control when you get to Frankfurt.

Hi. We are traveling US Airways on a Wednesday from Mexico arriving at 6:35 pm and departing to Kansas City on US airways at 8:05 pm. will that give us enough time to make it thru customs and rechecking our bags? Thanks.

yeah no duh unless if there is long lines or delays at the gate or airline delays

That should be barely enough time.

  • Connection time at Newark

I am flying United Airlines from Atlanta to Mumbai via Newark with 2 kids (1 stroller included). I have a layover of 1 hr 30 mins in Newark. Is this time adequate to take the Mumbai flight ?

Yes, that should be plenty of time. Both flights will likely be in Terminal C, in which case all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There's a chance you will arrive in Terminal A, if so you will have to take a shuttle bus, which runs inside security From Terminal A to Terminal C. Either way you have enough time.

not necessary, if you have a different carrier then you are probably in terminal B in that case you can hop on to Air Train to terminal B, If you need help ask a Red Coat, do not ask the Burgundy Coats as they are not people friendly. Red Coats will go out their way to help you. Once upon a time I used to be a red coat. You should be in Terminal B in less than three minutes (if the air train is doing fine)

Both his or her flights are on united. United does not use Terminal B for domestic arrivals or any departures. Please disregard the above nonsensical post.

I'm flying into Denver on United Express in early Nov'15 (winter??)...changing planes to regular United and only have 55 min. Is this enough time? Do I have to change terminals (like in Dallas) for small planes to large planes? Thanks

All United and United Express flights in Denver are on the B Concourse. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If your first flight is on-time you will have plenty of time.

Thank you for your reply. One of us uses a cane, in case we land at one end of "B" and have to get to the other end of "B" are there moving sidewalks or golf carts? This is our first time landing in Denver. Thanks

  • Taipei to SFO TO Sacramento 1.5hrs layover

Is 1.5 hrs enough to clear customs at SFO to then get on domestic flight to sacramento? Only carry on luggage. Are the terminals far? Thanks

Yes, that should be enough time. The International terminal is directly next to United's terminal.

I am arriving to Houston from Istanbul by Turkish Airlines and will fly to Austin by United. Which terminal I will be in Houston after arrival and which terminal I have to head for checking in to Austin. And what is the best way connecting the terminals within a short time?

You will arrive in Terminal D. If you purchased your tickets together Turkish should be able to tag your bags through to Austin and issue both boarding passes in Istanbul. You will have to claim your bags to go through Customs but if they are tagged through to AUS then you can re-check them at the transfer desk right after customs then proceed directly to security. You will depart from Terminal B or C.

Thank you for great help. Tickets are purchased separately. Houston- Austin leg is operated by United. I have to go transfer desk or I am gonna go to the terminal B or C and check in there?

You may be able to either re-check your bags at the Transfer desk (make sure you don't just hand them the bags and leave, make sure they are tagged to AUS first - some transfer desks have the capability to re-tag bags, some do not) or yes, you could take them on the Inter-Terminal Train to Terminal B or C and re-check them there.

Also, you could show your United confirmation to the Turkish agent in Istanbul. Since they are both in Star Alliance they should be able to join your bookings and tag your bags through to Austin, which would mean you can easily re-check them at the transfer desk, but may still have to get your boarding pass from United in Houston.

  • Connection JFK - SJO

We are arriving from JFK on DL0465 leaving JFK 06:30 am in ATL at 09:02 am and have a connecting flight to SJO on DL 0900 leaving at 09:50. Will we (and our luggage) make the Connection? Thanks for any advice.

Yes, if your flight from JFK is on-time that should be enough time. All you have to do in ATL is take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you will depart.

Have a 45 min layover in MSP from MOT to Asia. is this enough time? do I need to do anything in MSP?

All you have to do in MSP is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, but it obviously leaves very little time to spare if your flight from Minot is delayed.
