Hi! I'm arriving at terminal D from Toronto WestJet flight to take a flight on Virgin America to DAL from terminal B gate C6. I have 1hr 45 min. What is my best option for getting from TB to TD? I am a Nexus flyer so can pass through security quickly. I guess I will have to get luggage and then check luggage since it's a different airline...suggestions?!

I am flying in from Austin tomorrow on DL 686 and flying back out to MSP DL 2087. I have 37 minutes between them. Will I have enough time to make my connecting flight?

Yes, that is enough time if your first flight is on-time. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

I am flying in from RDU (DELTA) on Friday and I am wondering what the closest way to get to baggage claims. I have trouble (knees) with walking long distance. I did this same route on Delta as well last year and it seemed like it took forever to get to baggage claims. Any suggestions?

The only route to the baggage claim is via the Plane Train. Delta uses about 100 different gates at ATL so it can vary significantly the distance you will have to travel to baggage claim. If you have a lot of trouble walking you can call Delta and request wheelchair service.

Hi, we arrive tomorrow at ORD at 1:37pm with flight UA616 coming from San Francisco and go to take flight UA944 departing at 2:15pm going to Frankfurt. Transfer time is thus 38 min. Is it possible to catch this flight and will the checked luggage follow? Do we have to go through security and passport check? Thank you

All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate which will both be in Terminal 1. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Do we have to go through security checkpoint each time we change terminals? We have access to the wing tips lounge in Terminal 4 but our flight leaves out of terminal 7.

Yes. The only terminals that are connected inside security are 2 and 4 (by a shuttle bus).

Hey I am travelling from dallas to orlando and have a stopover in atlanta, is a 1h 5m stopover enough time to transfer from T1 to TS

Atlanta doesn't have a T1 or TS. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate via the Plane Train, which connects all concourses inside security.

Arriving in O'Hara from Tokyo, terminal 5 on Japan Airlines operated by American Airlines. Only have 2 hours to get luggage, and go to terminal 3, leaving to Cleveland. Is this enough time?

Yes, that is enough time. You will claim your bags before going through US Customs, but can re-check them at the transfer desk immediately after. You will then take the ATS Train to Terminal 3, go through security and to your departure gate.

Hello, I'm arriving in PHL from BWI at 5:05 pm on Dec 21st on Piedmont/US airways express. My plane change departs at 6:35 pm British Air to Heathrow airport. How far are the terminals and do I have enough time?

You will arrive in Terminal F. It is connected to Terminal A, where you will depart by a shuttle bus inside security. You have plenty of time.

    thank you

  • Guatemala City to Houston , Houston to new york.

Hi there, We are concerned about our connecting time through Houston airport (flights booked with Bravofly). We fly Guatemala City to Houston George Bush Terminal E with United Airlines on Dec 23rd, landing in Houston at 10:04am. We then have a connecting flight leaving from Terminal B at 11:30am also with United Airlines to New York. We are concerned that 1hr 35 mins isn't enough time, especially going through customs from an international flight and connecting to a domestic flight. Do you think we should be looking at changing our connecting flight? It's a shame that Bravo-fly leave such a short window. Do you know if we remove our bags and recheck them in, or is that done for us? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Daisy

You will arrive in Terminal E, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk immediately after customs. Then go through security and to your departure gate. Your flight to New York will likely depart from Terminal C, not B. 1 hr 26 mins is 4 minutes below the minimum connection time for such a connection. However, if you miss your connection United has lots of flights from Houston to New York that you can be rebooked on.

Aloha, I am traveling from HNL-IAH on United and then connecting to BA to London. Unfortunately we will be at IAH for about 8 hours till our BA flight leaves for London. My question is what terminal will I arrive at in HNL and what terminal will I have to go to for London? Will I have to pick up my luggage at baggage claim and then send it thru again for London? These are two separate tickets one with United & the other with BA. When will I have to go thru customs and/or immigration, I've never done this before.

You will arrive in Terminal E and depart from Terminal D. Since you purchased two separate tickets you will have to claim your baggage with United, wait until the BA ticket counter opens, and re-check it. You do not go through US Immigration when leaving the US.

  • Short cut transfer?

In the past, when I've flown through ORD and needed to get from T3 (AA flight) to T5 (BA flight) and already had my boarding pass, I went to a certain spot and was bused directly to T5 and didn't have to go through security again. Is that still possible? If so, where in T3 was it?

Yes, it is still there. It leaves from Gates G17 and K20.

Flying on Delta JFK/AMS /PRG. From the posts, I am unclear if I need to go through customs with my bags at AMS OR if the bags will be transferred automatically and I will just go through passport/security control twice without my bags. If I need to go through with my bags, there has been reference to using the green hall if I have nothing to declare. What are things that need to be declared? Thanks.

You will go through Schengen Passport Control when you enter the Schengen Pier of the terminal. You do not have to do anything with your baggage in Amsterdam.

  • Luggage transfer between T1 and T5

Hello - We land in Chicago O'Hare Terminal 1 on a United Airlines flight from Phoenix and we need to catch a British Airways flight from Terminal 5 to London. We have close to a 4hr layover. The question is will United Airline accept to check through the luggage from Phoenix all the way to London? And if not, what is the simplest way to get our luggage from Terminal 1 over to Terminal 5 in Chicago? We will have a lot of luggage and it will be impossible for my wife and I to handle on our won on top of two small children. Many thanks!

If you purchased all your tickets together United will transfer your bags to British Airways for you. If you did not, you will have to transfer it yourself via the ATS train. Your options are to either pack what you can carry or to purchase a foldable luggage cart and pack it in your luggage on the way to Chicago, then unpack it and use it in Chicago, then re-pack it or throw it out before checking your bags with BA.
