  • Short cut transfer?

In the past, when I've flown through ORD and needed to get from T3 (AA flight) to T5 (BA flight) and already had my boarding pass, I went to a certain spot and was bused directly to T5 and didn't have to go through security again. Is that still possible? If so, where in T3 was it?

Flying on Delta JFK/AMS /PRG. From the posts, I am unclear if I need to go through customs with my bags at AMS OR if the bags will be transferred automatically and I will just go through passport/security control twice without my bags. If I need to go through with my bags, there has been reference to using the green hall if I have nothing to declare. What are things that need to be declared? Thanks.

You will go through Schengen Passport Control when you enter the Schengen Pier of the terminal. You do not have to do anything with your baggage in Amsterdam.

  • Luggage transfer between T1 and T5

Hello - We land in Chicago O'Hare Terminal 1 on a United Airlines flight from Phoenix and we need to catch a British Airways flight from Terminal 5 to London. We have close to a 4hr layover. The question is will United Airline accept to check through the luggage from Phoenix all the way to London? And if not, what is the simplest way to get our luggage from Terminal 1 over to Terminal 5 in Chicago? We will have a lot of luggage and it will be impossible for my wife and I to handle on our won on top of two small children. Many thanks!

If you purchased all your tickets together United will transfer your bags to British Airways for you. If you did not, you will have to transfer it yourself via the ATS train. Your options are to either pack what you can carry or to purchase a foldable luggage cart and pack it in your luggage on the way to Chicago, then unpack it and use it in Chicago, then re-pack it or throw it out before checking your bags with BA.

Arriving T8 - American, where is baggage claim? How best to get me+bag to T1 for international travel?

T8 has a baggage claim on the lower level. The only way from T8 to T1 is via the AirTrain. It is a short ride, maybe 5-10 minutes.

I am flying in from SLC on Delta-T2 and have approx. 40 min to get to AA in T3. Is that enough time and can I walk?

Yes, it is enough time and yes, you can walk, but it depends on your first flight being on-time and not having any checked baggage or your checked bags being tagged to your final destination. There is a walkway inside security between t2 and T3.

Hi, I am arriving from Amsterdam and connecting through to Los Angeles and my layover is only 1 hr and 14 min. Will that be enough time?

That is 16 minutes below the minimum connection time. I would call who you booked your tickets through and ask to be put on a later flight to Los Angeles.

  • Getting between T7 and T8 in 2h10min with two small children

Hello, is this possible in 2h10min from T7 to T8, we are traveling with BA from London and connection flight to Cancun MX are manged by AA. And my second question is do we need to collect our checked in bagage in T7 and check in it again in T8? Best regard Mattias

If your bags are tagged to CUN, which they should be, you will claim your bags in T7, go through US customs, then you can re-check your bags at the transfer desk there, then take the AirTrain to T8 and go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time but not much to spare.

Coming into Gate T have 35 min to get to gate B18. Enough time? and what is the quickest way to get there? Thanks

Yes, that is enough time if your first flight is on-time. The only way between those gates is the Plane Train, which runs inside security between all the concourses.

  • arriving from Frankfurt at 2:20 leaving 5:00 to Miami

Hy, I am arriving at 2:20pm from Frankfurt and I will have to fly to Miami at 5:00pm . 4 Lagguage which i will make lagguage tag in Frankfurt for MIA. Is the connection time for Immigration enough? Anything I need to know? last time Houston immigration took me almost 2 hrs

You will arrive in Terminal E, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk. Then go up to the departure level and through security and to your departure gate which will likely be in Terminal C.

  • Connection time between Term 7/8 and Term 2

We will be arriving into LAX on United at term 7 or 8 at 8:36am and our flight on Hawaiian Air leaves from Term 2.at 10:00am. Carry-on bags only. Is 1:30 enough time to make the connection between terminals and pass thru TSA again? Thanks.

Yes, but you should make sure to print out your Hawaiian boarding pass ahead of time online. Then just run across the airport to T2 and get through security. If your first flight is on-time you should be OK.

I am flying through Houston January 2nd. I am coming from HSV with a 85 minute connection to Frankfurt. Will I be able to check my bags all the way in HSV? or will I have to claim them and re check them. Will this be enough time?

Your bags will go directly to Frankfurt. You have plenty of time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate in B to your departure gate in D or E. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.

Hi there, I'm travelling in from Toronto landing at terminal A (Air Canada) I am having to transfer to terminal C to fly to Glasgow (United) What is the best way of doing this terminal change - Train or Bus? Do I need to clear security and customs to do this transit? Where does the bus/train leave from? Thanks for your help in advance

You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Toronto. In Newark, you can't make that transfer inside security as the United shuttle bus from A to C leaves from a different pier of A than your Air Canada flight will arrive at. So the best route for you will be to take the AirTrain from A to C, then go through security and to your departure gate. Follow signs to the train.

    Thanks

I am arriving into JFK on Virgin and have 2 hours to get to T2 for Virgin to heathrow. I only have 1 carry on bag. Tickets bought together at the same time with travel agent. What is my best way between terminals and is 2 hurs enough time please?

You have your terminals incorrect. Virgin Atlantic does not use Terminal 2. Virgin America and Virgin Atlantic both use Terminal 4. 2 Hours is plenty of time for your transfer.

My mom's flight TK009 is delayed and it will arrive LAX @ 5.17pm. Her next flight is Southwest 4483 departing @ 6.55pm. Would she make it to her flight on time? Thank you!

She will have to really hurry if she has checked bags to re-check at Southwest.
