Hi, I will fly in from Mexico on Delta at 2125hrs. Then I have 1hr25 to connect to my Delta flight to Nashville. Only carry on. Will this be enough time to make it (going through customs etc)?? Thanks!

Yes, it should be enough time.

  • Cancun to PHX connection

We have an 1:30 layover arriving from Cancun to PHX on Saturday after Thanksgiving, both flights are US Airways, arrival 7:36 p.m. do we have enough time to clear Customs, gather our bags, recheck, then make our connection? I know this is busy season so I am a little concerned. We are a family of 5 in the middle of the plane. Thank you for your advice.

Saturday after Thanksgiving shouldn't be too bad and Phoenix doesn't have many international flights. You should be OK.

Thank you! Definitely don't want to end our vacation in a stressful situation. Appreciate you taking the time to respond. Enjoy the day.

I arrive in terminal C at 9:15 and depart at 9:45 terminal D... Will that be enough time?

Yes, it's possible, the SkyLink train connects all terminals inside security. However, it leaves virtually no time to spare in case of delays.

Can we still walk between these terminals without going thru security ? I'm flying United domestic but have AA lounge membership so would like to wait in there. Will I be able?

Yes, you can. There is a walkway inside security between the three terminals.

I am flying with Qatar airways on Oct 30. Got their email and they changed terminal for T3 to T5. I will arriving with AA at 19:10 on T3 and have to connect with Qatar on 20:25 from T5...bought the tickets together so I assume no baggage claim required...but is 75 mins enough?

Yes, that is enough time to take the ATS train between T3 and T5 and go through security. However, if you arrive in the G concourse you could also take their new shuttle bus which will run inside security - http://www.qatarairways.com/us/en/travel-alerts.page

What country are you a citizen of? If it's not a country eligible under the Visa Waiver Program you will have to apply for a transit visa.

My flight #111 from Rome to Chicago is delayed. Original arrival time was 3:00pm with connecting flight #2409 departing at 5:50pm. The Rome flight is now arriving Chicago at 4:45. Will I have time to clear customs, rebook bag and get to the 5:50 flight?

It will be difficult, but I suppose it's possible. You didn't provide any information on what airlines you are flying.

Yes, all Southwest and AirTran flights are on the same concourse.

i am flying in from ottawa to dulles and have 1 hour and 10 min as layover time to connect to my flight to Bahrain. Will i have to reclaim my bag and go through US customs? what is the procedure? will i have enough time?..i am landing at 8:45 pm

You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Ottawa. Your arrival into IAD will be like a domestic flight. All you have to do in IAD is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you arrive in concourse A, it is connected to concourse C or D where your flight to Bahrain will depart by the mobile lounge and Aerotrain. You have enough time.

If you need wheelchair service you need to contact their airline and request it.

  • Connecting Flight In MIA
    Oct 23, 2014

My husband I have never flown internationally. We have a connecting flight in MIA from ATL to Punta Cana, DR. Our flight lands in MIA from ATL at 8:50 AM and departs from MIA to PUJ at 9:51. Will we have time to make our connecting flight? Will we have to go through customs or any security checkpoints leaving MIA?

Both flights are on American Airlines.

You do not go through US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have plenty of time.

Hi, This is my first time abroad and have to know what to do after landing at sfo. Is it baggage claim first or customs and immigrations first?, i'm going to saltlake. Don't know what steps to take first. Please help me. God bless

Is it immigration - baggage - customs - check in. Right? 😄

Correct, it is Immigration, baggage claim, then customs, then re-check, then security.

  • Geneva-Tirana flight, connecting in Rome, fast way to get from T2-T3
    Oct 23, 2014

Hi! I have a return connecting flight from Geneva to Tirana, through Rome Fiumicino. For the trip Geneva-Tirana, I reach Terminal 2 and have to catch my other flight in Terminal 3. I have 1:30 mins of time to do this. On my return trip, I arrive in Terminal 3 but need to get to Terminal 2. I have 1 hour to do this. I am travelling with hand luggage only. How far are the two terminals? Which is the quickest way to go for this? Thanks, Nita

It is a very easy walk between T2 and T3, you should have plenty of time on your way to Tirana. On your return from Tirana it will be much more difficult as you will have to go through Schengen Immigration, then make your way to T2. However, you should be able to check in for your Easyjet flight online which should save some time.
