I have a connecting flight with United Air from Terminal 5 to Terminal 2. I only have 1 hour and 20 minutes to do it. Do I have enough time?

Hello, I will be arriving from New York to Houston (terminal C) and taking my next plane to McAllen (terminal B). The problem is I only have an hour. Will it be enough time?

Yes, if your first flight is on-time that should be enough time. C and B are connected inside security by the TerminaLink train.

Hi, I have booked with British Airways and the connection at ORD is around 2 hours- is this going to work out? Can I check my luggage from Heathrow to go straight to Indianappolis?

2 hours should be enough time. Your bags will be tagged through to Indianapolis but you will still have to claim them at ORD T5 after immigration to go through US Customs, then you can immediately re-check them with the airline you are flying to Indianapolis (presumably AA), then take the ATS train to your departure terminal and go through security.

  • GUA-IAH-YYZ 1H30M transfer time in IAH

Hi, I am flying GUA-IAH-YYZ-TLV with 1H30M tranfer time in IAH, will this be enough? Please note that I am not an american citizen and need go throw immigration. All the flights are with air Canada. Thanks

Please check your itinerary. Your GUA-IAH flight will be operated by United. Your IAH-YYZ flight could be operated by United Express OR Air Canada. Who operates it will really impact your connection as if it's operated by Air Canada you will have to take the TerminaLink Train all the way to Terminal A after clearing US Customs and re-checking your baggage, but if it's operated by United Express it will leave from B or C. Your connection time is possible but leaves very little spare time for any delays.

  • FRA-IAH-CUN, 1H50M transfer time on 23 Dec

Hi, will be flying FRA-IAH-CUN on 23/12 with 1H50M(110M) transfer time at IAH. Is that enough?

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. Both flights will be in Terminal E, but you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bag, go through US Customs, re-check your bag with United, then go through security and back to the departure gates.

I have one hr between flights on a Friday. I will be flying into LGA at 9pm on United Airlines and my connecting flight is Delta (Terminal D). From what I understand, I will have to go through security again at Terminal D.........Is this realistic in one hour?

No, it is not realistic to do that in one hour. It's a long transfer between B and D and there's a very good chance your first flight will be late arriving.

  • Enough time for connection?

I am booking a flight from New Haven to Seattle - changing planes at PHL. Us Airways Express from New Haven to PHL arrives at 7:45 and PHL to Seattle leaves at 8:30. Is 45 minutes enough time? Are US Airways Express far from other US Air flights?

Your flight from New Haven will arrive in Terminal F, which is connected to the other terminals by a bus that runs on the secure side. 45 minutes is doable but doesn't leave much if any time for delays.

  • Terminal 3 to TBIT

Arriving US Air at LAX (I believe US Air is terminal 3) at 8:35 pm departing TBIT on Air Tahiti Nui at 11:10 pm. I will collect my bags at US Air baggage claim and proceed to check in at Air Tahiti. Is there a connecting tunnel or easy way to get from terminal 3 at LAX to the Intl Terminal?

There is no tunnel, you have to walk outside along the curbfront. It's a very short walk from T3 to the TBIT. Check-in for the Air Tahiti Nui flight should be opening just about when you get there.

I arrive from manchester(united kingdom) on united airlines and have 2 hours 50 minutes which is plenty of time to connect to our flight to new york wuth united airlines, do we have to go through immigration ect and then check in again, what is the procedure?

You will arrive in the C/D concourse at IAD where you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, follow the signs for connecting passengers and re-check your bags with United, then go through security and you will be back in C/D. If your flight to New York leaves from A, you an take the mobile lounge or aerotrain there. You should be given both of your boarding passes in Manchester. You won't have to go through any immigration again when you get to New York.

  • Connecting from France T4 to Miami T8
    Jul 22, 2014

We arrive with XL Airways from France (T4), and have an American Airlines to Miami (T8). Is the Airtrain the quickest way ? Do we have to claim our bags and recheck them in T8 ? Where exactly ? How long will it take to do the whole connection ? THANKS

The Airtrain is the only way between terminals. Yes, XL Airways France does not interline baggage with other airlines so you will have to bring it with you and pay a checked bag fee with AA in T8. I would leave at 3 hours for your connection.

Hi, I will be coming to Seattle airport at 12:55 pm via Emirates from Dubai.I have connecting flight to Phoenix at 3:00 pm via Alaska Airlines. Whether the time is sufficient to make the connection? Thanks in advance.

That should be enough time, even if your tickets were purchased separately and you have to re-check bags in the Main Terminal with Alaska.

Thanks, I have booked a single ticket for my entire journey to Phoenix. I was wandering if I have to claim the baggage at Sea-Tac or it will be transferred by the airlines?

You will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs, but you can immediately re-check them with Alaska after you get through customs.

Hi, I think my flight will land on Sea-Tac at South Satellite, Whether I have to re-check my baggage with Alaska at Main Terminal or at South Satellite only?

Hello, I will be arriving from Mexico at 1 PM Sat Aug 30 2014 to T2 thru Aeromexico and Plan to connect Southwest at T1. I have options for my connection at 3 & 4 pm. Would 2 hours be enough time to connect or should I choose my 3 hour connection option?

I would choose the 3 hour since you will have to transfer the bags yourself and security lines at T1 can get pretty long.

I'm flying with Delta/klm from Amsterdam to Seatac arriving at 16.02 (South?) and next flight whit Alaskan depart (from North?) at 17.40. It's enough? will i clear immigration, custom and re-check my baggage all in South terminal? Thanks

If your bags are tagged through to OGG you will clear US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags, and go through security all in the immigration hall of the S-Satellite. You will then be able to go directly to your departure gate in C, D, or N via the underground trains. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Thanks for your fast reply. i have a single book (only one PNR) with two different tickets, think my baggage are tagged directly to OGG... Is there a train that directly reach N from S? How many time it needs? thank again

There's no direct train between N and S. Just check the monitors for your departure gate and follow the signs to that concourse.

  • Stoon to LAX with connection in Denver

We are flying out of Saskatoon, SK to LAX. We have a 1 hr 10 min connection time in Denver. Will we have to clear customs in Denver and Will we have to collect checked bags and re-check them in Denver?

I should have added, both flights are with United.

Yes, you will have to clear US Immigration, claim your baggage, go through US Customs, recheck your bags, and go through security. Luckily when the Saskatoon flights arrive in Denver immigration is unlikely to be crowded, but it still leaves little to no spare time to make your connection.

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for the information though. We will have to be as quick as we can. We have a party of 5 with one of those people being disabled. Seems like it may be tough.

Well, it is technically an illegal connection and United does have lots of flights from DEN to LAX, so the airline should be obligated to rebook you onto a later LAX flight if you request it.
