  • Terminal 2 to terminal 5

Hi. I m travelling from yyz to ahm & i've connecting flight from yyz air canada via chicago to Ahm with air india & i want to got from terminal to terminal 5 & i have only 3 hours...Is it good enough time? & what about my luggage? It will be directly transferred from 1 flight to another flight or am i supposed to carry it from the connecting flight. Do i have enough time to transfer the luggage?

Yes, 3 hours should be plenty of time. If you purchased your tickets together your baggage will be tagged through to India in Toronto. If you purchased your tickets separately you will have to claim them in Terminal 2 upon arrival and take them to T5 to check with Air India. Regardless, 3 hours should be enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto.

I'm flying into EWR from Stockholm and connecting to Toronto. I believe my flight arrives in Terminal C and then departs in Terminal C but my question is will my bags be checked through to my final destination of YYZ? I have lots of time but I am travelling with 3 children. Thanks!

If both of your flights were bought together your bags will be checked through. However, you will have to claim them to go through US Customs, then re-check them with your airline after clearing customs.

  • ENOUGH TIME FOR CONNECTION?
    Aug 30, 2014

On United, from San Francisco, arriving Dulles 4:10 & departing for Paris 5:20. Is 1 hr. 10 min. enough time? Am U.S. citizen, wife is Japanese, do I pass through immigration in D.C. or in Paris? Does immigration take much time?

You will go through Schengen Immigration when you get to Paris. You do not go through US Immigration when leaving the US. All you have to do in IAD is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which will both be on the C/D concourse.

  • Connection 40 Minutes Enough Time If On Last Seat of Plane?
    Aug 30, 2014

We are traveling AA with a 40 minute connection to another AA flight. We'll be disembarking as of now from the next to last row of a smaller plane (EMBRAER EMB 175 Jet, row 22). What are the odds of making this connection so that our luggage follows us to the next connection? Would they be willing to change our seats on this basis? (Flight is a couple months away).

Oh, and the next connection is NOT AA, so I'm a big concerned about luggage keeping up with us if we miss this flight.

What airline is the second flight on?

Hi! I am flying with United from Newark to Denver and from Denver to Calgary. The connection lasts 40 min. Arrival and departure in the same terminal B. Do I understand it right that I am going through Canadian immigration in Calgary, not in Denver ? Do you think the connection time is okay? thanks

Yes, you go through Canadian Immigration in Calgary. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time. All United gates in Denver are on Concourse B.

Hello! I'm flying from DEN to SEA on a Delta codeshare flight operated by Alaska, then I have a two hour layover to board a Delta flight to Incheon. My questions are: 1.) Is this enough time? 2.) Will I arrive at the Alaska terminal and then go over to international at the S terminal? and 3.) Will I have to recheck my baggage between Alaska and delta? Thanks very much!

Yes, that should be enough time. Seattle only has one terminal. You will just have to change concourses to the S Satellite. You will not have to do anything with your baggage.

I am traveling from Detroit (USA) on Delta and will transfer in AMS for a flight to Dusseldorf. Will I have to go through Immigration and baggage customs at AMS? My layover in AMS is 55 minutes, is that enough? thanks in advance!

You will go through Schengen passport control and security when you enter the schengen pier at AMS. You don't have to do anything with your baggage. You should have enough time.

What gate will SW 4808 depart on December 19, 2014?

Southwest uses the B and C concourses in Terminal 1. You will not know the exact gate until the day of your flight.

  • Terminal E to C?
    Aug 29, 2014

I'm a Canadian and I'll be arrive JetBlue at terminal E from Bermuda at 3:10. I have 2.5 hours to make a flight in terminal B with Air Canada to Halifax. This seems like plenty of time? Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

Yes, that should be plenty of time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Bermuda, so in Boston you will arrive at a regular JetBlue gate in Terminal C. All you will have to do is collect your bags (if you have any) go to Terminal B, re-check your bags with Air Canada, and go through security.

  • Terminal 2 to Terminal 5

Hi, I'll be travelling on Monday (Sept 1st) from Ottawa Canada to Seoul. I'll arrive at T2 and my flight to Korea departs at T5. I have 1h20 minutes between flights and I would like to know if that would be ok. The departure flight is KE38 around 1235 Thanks!

That will be really tough as you will have to go through security again in T5. It will be impossible if you purchased tickets separately and have checked baggage as you will have to claim your bags in T1 or T2 and then take them on the ATS train to T5, by which time you will have missed the bag cutoff.

Hi, I have a lay over in Dallas and had to schedule an Global entry interview while I am there. The only time slot available accounting for a bit of a delay with the interview will leave me an hour to get through security at terminal D. Any advice, will that be enough time to catch my next flight. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that should be plenty of time.

    Thank you!

Are all connecting (domestic) flights on United within the same terminal at ORD? It would be IAH connecting in ORD to BUF. Thank you

Most flights are in Terminal 1 but some United Express flights are in Terminal 2. However, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are connected inside security by a walkway.

    Thank you

  • Transfer from Delta to Air France flights DTW-CDG-DEL
    Aug 29, 2014

I am connecting from a Delta flight from DTW to CDG, continuing on to DEL. All in T2E. One ticket, but two different reservation numbers (One Delta, one Air France). Will I need to go through passport control, etc, and what are the odds that my luggage will make it with me to DEL? Layover time is about 3 hours.

You will not go through passport control as both flights are Non-Schengen. You should have plenty of time and while there's no guarantees, I'm pretty sure your baggage will make it.
