Help for dropping off at terminals PleasMay 8, 201310Hello, we have flights for my daughter to fly on Aitalia to Milan at 9am with my husband and myself returning to the US at 9:40am on Delta the same day. We'd very much like to get her checked in and to her gate before we go do the same. How long does it take to transfer between the necessary terminals and will it be a real hassle if we have several suitcases? We appriecate any recommnedations. Thank you!karenposted on Wed, May 8[ Reply ][ Like ]You will not be able to go to her gate with her. I suggest you do your goodbyes when you drop her at Terminal 1 and then make your way to terminal 5. You will have to check in and go through special security procedures in T5 so you should not delay. After that you will be bussed to the Terminal 3 satellite for your departure.ZAPposted on Wed, May 8

non-english speakersMay 8, 201340Hi! My parents are flying next week from Warsaw-Paris-Atlanta-Wichita. They have to go through immigration check in Atlanta and then get somehow to domestic terminal. Could someone give me a brief description of what should they look for in terms of directions? They do not speak english and I am afraid they are going to get lost. How do they get to the "Plane Train" ? Any information or maps would be very helpful!karolinaposted on Wed, May 8I should mention that they are flying Air France to Atlanta and arriving at Terminal I , they have about 2 hrs to get through immigration, their connecting flight is operated by Delta Air Lines and departs from Terminal S. I bought tickets about a month ago so I am not sure if the flight from Atlanta to Wichita will still be from the Terminal S?karolinaposted on Wed, May 8They will go through immigration in the International terminal. Then they just have to re-check their bags with Delta in that terminal, go through security there, and take the Plane Train to the concourse for their Wichita flight. They don't have to actually go to the main Domestic terminal - they can go straight to their concourse.ZAPposted on Wed, May 8Where is the Plane Train located? Do they have to take stairs upstairs downstairs? Are there hanging signs "Plane Train"?karolinaposted on Wed, May 8

American to United HOW do you connect?May 8, 201310How do you connect from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 at Ohare? Do you have to go out of security?333456posted on Tue, May 7No, you do not. You can walk from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 then Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 all beyond security. Just follow the signs. The walkway in Terminal 3 is near the G concourse and not many people use it because there aren't many T3-T2 connections. Lots of people walk from T2 to T1 because most of United Express is in T2 and mainline United is in T1.ZAPposted on Wed, May 8

ConnectionsMay 8, 201310Im arriving on Southwest concourse B and departing on American Concourse D. How do I get there and do I need to go through security again?babygirlposted on Tue, May 7I'm pretty sure you can walk between concourse B and the Main Terminal to D automated Tram beyond security. If you can't, you'll need to exit security in the main terminal, go to the departures level, go through security and then follow the signs to concourse D tram.ZAPposted on Wed, May 8

united connection with customsMay 7, 201330I'm looking at booking a United flight from Calgary to Buffalo connecting in Chicago--time between flights is 52 minutes--will that be enough time to go through customs and get from terminal 1 to terminal 2?spanikposted on Tue, May 7You will go through US immigration in Calgary. Both of your flights may be in Terminal 1, both may be in Terminal 2. If you can tell me the flight numbers and/or operating carriers I can help you with where the gates will likely be. Regardless, Terminal 1 and 2 are connected beyond security.ZAPposted on Tue, May 7Thanks! Right now the itinerary says that the flight from calgary lands in one and leaves to buffalo from 2--I thought i would have to do the US customs in Chicago since I had to do it in Minnesota connecting from Paris on my last international trip.spanikposted on Tue, May 7

Enough time between flights?May 7, 201310My husband & I are flying for the first internationally from Atlanta to Greece with a 1 hr layover at JFK. Our flight from Atlanta arrives in and departs from JFK to Athens in Terminal 3. We will be traveling Delta all the way. Will we have enough time between flights? Also, will we have to retrieve our baggage and recheck them thru?DonnaBposted on Tue, May 7

Wherer is Terminal B - gate D1?May 8, 201320Tracking my American connection flight shows it consistently leaving out of terminal B gate D1, but no terminal maps shows a D1 in terminal B. It shows the gates starting a D2. Could the terminal maps be out dated? Is D1 really in terminal B?fanwebposted on Tue, May 7LGA's Terminal B has Concourses A through D, with corresponding gates. Gate D1 of Concourse D must have re-opened gate D1 just recently.tumay13posted on Tue, May 7

40 minute connection in Terminal 1May 7, 201330Will I make a 40 minute connection at ORD? My flight from MSP arrives at 7:22 AM and my connection to SJO Costa Rica leaves at 8:15 AM. Not sure which specific gates are involved but if this is all within Terminal 1, will I make the connection? Also, will my luggage make it?Shobaposted on Mon, May 6Are both flights on United? If so then yes, both should be in Terminal 1 and should should barely have enough time.ZAPposted on Mon, May 6Both flights are United. I am seated in row 2 of my first flight so hopefully I could get out soon and run to my next gate. Will the luggage make it though?Shobaposted on Tue, May 7

Terminal and Check In Questions.May 6, 201330I arrive in Washington( IAD) at 9:10 pm. My connecting flight is to san fran(SFO) and leaves at 10:15pm. Both Flights are with United Airlines. Will that be enough time to do what I need to do? Also what terminal does United Airlines operate out of? Will I have to get to another terminal to get on my connecting flight? Also Do I have to chexk in and go through security again once I get to IAD or just go straight to my terminal and find my gate? Do gates usually change with less than an hours time? I am a first time flyer with connections and I am a little worried and I am trying to get all the info I can before I leave. Thank you so much!!LindseyHardyposted on Mon, May 6Is your flight into IAD Domestic or International. If it's domestic you'll just have to walk between your gates on the C/D concourse if you are on United mainline and possibly the A concourse if you're on United Express (where you'll have to take the Aerotrain or shuttle bus to C/D) Either way you won't have to go through security again.ZAPposted on Mon, May 6My first flight is from Atlanta to Washington. Its like a united Express flight. So I will more than likely have to take the shuttle bus or aerotrain. Are those things hard to find? Where are they located were I can get on and off of them?LindseyHardyposted on Mon, May 6

meeting passenger during connectionsMay 6, 201311I'm hoping to meet a friend flying in on United Express from Mexico City Tuesday, May 7 and departing after 4h lay over to Canada. Looks to me as if the Mexico City usually lands at Terminal D and I know most CDN flights leave out of Term C. Can you suggest a good meeting place? D or C? Thxcoffeemateposted on Sun, May 5
