  • IND to ORD to DUB

I have a flight from ind to ord that arrives at at 5:40pm in terminal 3, and then I want to catch a flight to Dublin that leaves at 8:00pm from terminal 5. Is that enough time? Do I have to go through security or get bags or anything? Thanks.

also, my tickets were purchased together

If your tickets were purchased together than that is plenty of time. Your bags should be tagged through to DUB. You will have to go through security again in Terminal 5.

    Ok. Thanks!

  • LAX terminal B to 4 connection
    May 19, 2015

Hi, I am arriving on US air from London to LAX arriving at 1535, with a connection at 1715 to RNO. this is all on a AA/US codeshare ticket... i am assuming this will be fine as its one ticket, can anyone help? terminal B to 4. Thanks

This is a fairly difficult but doable connection. If your flight from London is operated by British Airways it will arrive in the International Terminal, if it is operated by american it will arrive in Terminal 4. You will then go through security, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk. Then if you arrived in the International Terminal, walk to terminal 4 (it's a short walk). Then, go through security. Your flight to Reno will depart from the American Eagle satellite terminal, you will have to take a shuttle bus to get there. The shuttle bus is after you go through security in Terminal 4.

Thank you. Do you know how long the shuttle takes to the satellite terminal?

    About 10-15 minutes.

  • Manchester UK - San Fran via PHL

Hi, I'm looking to fly from Manchester UK to San Francisco via Philadelphia on USairways, it will be a Saturday outbound and inbound. On the way there get to PHL at 1:40pm and there's a 2h 25m wait to catch the flight to SFO at 4:05pm. Is this enough time to change given immigration/security checks etc? Coming back leave SFO at 10:45am get to PHL 7:20pm with 1h 40m wait to change for 9:00pm flight to Manchester. Will this be enough time to change? Will the return be quicker as I will have cleared immigration/security at SFO? Thanks

Yes, 2 hr 25 minutes is enough time for immigration, customs, and security on your way to San Franscisco. On the return to Manchester all you have to do in Philadelphia is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, no immigration or security required.

Hi, Ill stopover in SEA the 28th of May at 11.09 from Amsterdam. Then I have a flight to Las Vegas at 1pm. I will have to get my luggage, check it in again and go throu security. It was booked on 1 ticket with KLM. Am I going to make it?

Yes, that should be enough time. You can re-check your baggage at the re-check desk right after customs, then go through security and straight to your departure gate.

Hello, we are flying from Istanbul to Madrid with a short 55 mins layover in Rome Fiumicino. Our whole itinerary is operated by Alitalia. Wondering if we have enough time to make the connection and also worried about luggage and whether we need to go through passport control. Appreciate the help!

Yes, you will go through passport control in Rome. It is a possible, but difficult connection.

Thank you much ZAP. I guess we will have to find an alternate flight to Madrid from IST, since the one we got through FCO is the last flught on Friday night and can't risk it

I have a Lufthansa flight from Amsterdam arriving in Frankfurt at 8.45pm & need to catch a connecting flight with Singapore Airlines at 9.55 will I have enough time as long as flight is on time.

Yes, that should barely be enough time if your first flight is on-time and your bags are checked through to Singapore.

Thats impossible, FRA is a nightmare

HI there, I am flying from Vancouver, BC to Seattle to Amsterdam via Delta Airlines. These are all paid together as one ticket. How will the connection be through Seattle? Will I have to get my luggage and/or clear customs? Thanks!

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates in Seattle are connected inside security.

    Thank you kindly!

  • LAV to LAX and LAX to SYD connecting time 48 mins

Hi I am travelling from LAV to LAX and LAX to SYD. I only have 48 mins for the connecting flights at LAX to Sydney. Both flights are booked with united airlines and both departure and arrival is on Terminal 7. I believe my luggage will be checked in at LAV, Do I have enough time?

There is no such airport code as "LAV" Are you coming from Las Vegas? That's LAS. Yes, you should have enough time if your first flight is on-time. All you have to do in LAX is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Thank you very much for your kind response. Yes, I mean from Las Vegas, sorry for the wrong code.

I am traveling compass dba delta from San Diego to Seattle with only 65 minutes layover time to delta Hong Kong. Do I have enough time for connecting flight? Do I have to claim baggage or go through custom in Seattle?

You do not go through US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates at SEA are connected inside security. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • From SFO to ORD

I am coming in on Air NZ at 1pm and would like to get a flight to Chicago on Virgin America at 4pm - will I have enough time to make the flight with immigration and customs

That would be about the bare minimum. Check in online for your Virgin America flight before you leave New Zealand. You will have to transfer your bags yourself to the Virgin America check-in counters.

do you think this is not enough time - connections to Chicago are not that great as I need to get to Detroit,do you think I would be better booking a hotel room and getting a red eye flight

If you need a flight to Detroit, why not just book a redeye ticket on Delta from LAX to Detroit? If you want something cheap and are willing to put up with an Ultra-Low-Cost Carrier, Spirit Airlines also has a redeye nonstop from LAX to Detroit - and their flight leaves LAX at about 10 PM so your layover in LAX wouldn't be as bad.

  • Arriving terminal 1 at 3pm, connect to terminal g internationa at 1720

Will I have enough time to get there

What airport? What airlines? Tickets purchased together or separately?

united from san diego , then SF to Dublin. Flight is booked together

    flight to dublin is airlingus

United uses Terminal 3, not Terminal 1. All you will have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is a walkway inside security between United's gates in Terminal 3 and the G gates in the International Terminal where Aer Lingus is. You have plenty of time.

Flying out of Kansas City on United. Connecting to Air China flight in Houston. Will I need to claim bags and have them re-screened and re-checked onto the international flight? What about the return trip? Do I claim bags in Houston and go through customs and then board the domestic flight to Kansas City?

On your way to China you only need to go from your arrival gate in the B or C concourse to your departure gate in the D concourse on the Terminalink train. On your way back, in Houston you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and take the TerminaLink train or walk to your departure gate.

  • Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 in 1hr 40?

Arriving from Pisa to Rome FCO Terminal 1 at 8.30am. Booking through Alitalia but flight operated by Etihad (AZ1666). Will there be time to make connection to an actual Alitalia flight from Terminal 3 at 10.10am (AZ620)? Will this be tight or easy?

Both flights are Alitalia flights. You should have plenty of time. Just follow signs to your departure gate. You will go through schengen exit passport control on your way.

THANK YOU! So even though Etihad will be operating the flight, our luggage should be checked all the way through to LAX? What is the transfer like between Ter 1 and 3 in terms of walking distance?

You won't find an Etihad check in desk in Pisa. Like I said, both flights are essentially Alitalia. Yes your bags will be checked through to LAX. It's not a terribly long walk. Maybe 10-15 minutes.
