If arriving to Las Vegas on United what terminal do they use?

You will arrive in the D satellite concourse and then take the tram to Terminal 3 to collect your baggage. There's ample signage showing you which train to get on.

  • Cody to LAX - 45 min connecting time
    Mar 6, 2014

Looking at a United flight for first week of August from Cody, WY to LAX stopping in DEN for 45mins. Is that enough time? I'm also needing to book a flight from LAX to Sydney, Australia after that, so if it's likely I might not make the flight in DEN and need to be placed on a later United flight to LAX, I guess I may need to book the LAX-Sydney flight for the next day to be safe... Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks!

45 minutes is plenty of time for that connection if your first flight is on-time. All United and United Express flights in Denver are on the same concourse. If you miss your connection in LAX then United will accomodate you on the flight the next evening to Sydney. I wouldn't build in the extra day of travel unless you really want to spend an extra day in LA.

We are flying from London Heathrow to Houston before taking a connecting flight to Cancun. Do we need a transit visa for this? Thanks.

Are you a UK Citizen? The US doesn't require visas for UK citizens for stays shorter than 90 days.

    Yes, thanks.

You will need an ESTA. Google it. Apply on line. Cost is $14.

We will arrive at JFK from JAX (t5) with JetBlue and depart to Dubai with Emirates (t4). Is 1 hour and 30 min enough?

Yes, if both of you bought your tickets on one reservation your bags will be transferred automatically and all you have to do is take the Airtrain from T5 to T4 and go through security.

Since we are travelling with an elderly person, I would like to know if we can go from concourse A in Terminal B to concourse D in same terminal within 55 mins? He cannot walk very fast. Will we need to stop for any security or other checks?

It's possible if your first flight is on-time. Yes, each concourse has its own security so you'll have to go through security in D.

  • united security shuttle sign?
    Mar 5, 2014

My mom is a senior who does not speak English. She is making a connection in EWR, arriving at Terminal A and leaving from Terminal C, both on United. I did my homework and it seems straightforward to take the security shuttle. However, as she does not speak or read English, I am not sure how she can find where to take the shuttle. So the shuttle is near Gate A28. Does she go out through Gate A28? Or there is another door for the shuttle stop? Is there a sign for the shuttle that she can look out for? Or better, any one happens to take a picture of the sign? Thanks.

traveling with 82 yr old can we make our 30 min connection flight. is it possible. american airlines next flight flying with united

No, that's not possible. You have to exit Terminal 4, walk nearly half a mile to Terminal 6/7, then go back through security. You should not have booked such an itinerary (or don't book it if you haven't yet).

I have a United flight from Toronto to Hong Kong through Newark with 1hr1min between flights. Arrival is in terminal A, departure is in terminal C of Newark. Is it possible to make the connection (I'm told there is a shuttle bus for United)? United tells me I do not need to recheck baggage, but need to go through customs. Is it possible to go through US customs pre-clearance in Toronto for this? Thanks.

You will go through US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. So all you have to do in Newark is take the shuttle bus from Terminal A to Terminal C and to your gate. It shouldn't take more than 20-25 minutes.

    Thank you!

  • Change terminals

Flying from Boston to Houston on United, change planes in Houston for Guadalajara to ExpressJet Arilines doing business as United Express. Which terminal will I land, and which terminal will I depart?

You will likely arrive in Terminal C (possibly E) and you will depart from Terminal B. The TerminaLink Train connects all Terminals inside security.

  • Is 45 min enough to change flights?

I am traveling from Montreal to Tokyo through IAD, and I only have 47 min to change flights. Is that enough? I am booking the flight right now and there is no information about the terminals.

IAD only has one terminal. You will arrive in Concourse A, C, or D and depart from Concourse C/D. C/D is one building and A is connected to it by the mobile lounger and aerotrain. You will pre-clear US Immigration in Montreal so all you will have to do at IAD is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. That should be enough time but doesn't leave much room for any delays.

  • 30 Minute Layover

I'm traveling through DTW on Friday from ROC to SFO and have a 30 min layover on Delta. Flights are 3691 and 745. Will I make this?

You will have to hope your first flight is on-time and hurry. You will likely arrive in the B Concourse of the McNamara Terminal and depart from the A Concourse. They are connected by an underground tunnel with a moving walkway. Your connection may take up to 20 minutes, so that leaves just 10 minutes to spare.

  • Transfertime for transit to Ft. Lauderdale
    Mar 6, 2014

On may 3rd I will arrive from Amsterdam at 10.40 a.m. with DL 251 and have to transfer with DL 1704 at 14.00 p.m. to Fort Lauderdale. What exactly I have to do when I arrive. Is the first time I have to transfer in U.S. and what I understood Detroit Airport is very big. Please help me.On what floors are Immigration, Luggage pick up, Customs, re-check desk and concourses?

You will arrive in the center of the A concourse and go directly to US immigration, there's no way to get lost here. Then you will claim your bags, go through US Customs, and then re-check them with Delta, then you will go up to the departure level and go through security. Then you will go to your departure gate which will also be in the A concourse of the McNamara Terminal.

Thx ZAP for your answer. So, if I understand quite right, US Immigration, luggage, US Customs and rechecking with Delta is all on the same where we arrive?

I mean the same Floor. Sorry.

Yes, you will go down some stairs after you get out of the jetway (it will be the only way to go) and everything you have to do will be down on that level until you have to go through security. There are plenty of signs.

    Is the tranfertime enough?

Will you be so kind to tell me of the transfer time between the two planes is enough? Thank you ZAP for your help!

We will arrive to Newark at 7h38 (from Quebec City) by EXPRESSJET AIRLINES DBA UNITED EXP. We have to past the US custom. The next fligh for Punta Cana is at 9h03 by United. Will we have enough time for the connection? Thank you!

It will be pretty tough, the minimum Intl -> Intl connect time at EWR is 90 minutes, which you have slightly less than. However, Immigration lines shouldn't be too bad at that time of the morning and both of your flights will be in Terminal C at least.

I am arriving to IAD from Frankfurt on Luftansa on Sunday, March 16th at 16:20 and I am scheduled to leave IAD to Tampa on United at 18:00. Will this be enough time to get through immigration/custom and catch my flight. I am a US citizen.

Yes, it should be enough time but it leaves no time for any delays.
