  • flying from CAK to Atlanta to Knoxville

In Atlanta I arrive at E32 and depart at D31 how hard is that to get to

All you have to do is take the plane train from your arrival concourse to your departure concourse, it shouldn't take more than 15 mins.

Arriving at 9:45 US Airways going to Meridiana leaving at 14.25 how do I get from baggage claim to Meridiana counter?

Just walk. It's not that far.

  • CLT - JFK connection, 31 minutes

Will be travelling through CLT, connecting to JFK on 6-22-15. Both flights on US Airways. I will have checked bags. Is 31 minutes enough time, considering bags need to be transferred to the next plane?

Assuming your first flight is domestic and on-time, it's barely enough time.

  • Flying from LHR to DFW then to SHV on a separate reservartion

Hi I am flying from LHR to DFW then onto SHV on a separate reservation will my bags go straight through or will i have to lift them and re check them I also will have to go through immigration in Dallas will i have enough time between flights I has 2hrs 10 min Thanks

If you show your AA confirmation for DFW-SHV to the agent in London, then they should be able to tag your bags through to SHV. You will still have to claim them in DFW to go through US Customs, but then if they are tagged through to SHV you can immediately after drop them at the re-check desk and proceed to security rather than having to go to the check in counters. You should have enough time if your flight is on-time and you can get your bags tagged through to SHV.

  • One hour and 16 minutes to connect - possible?

Hello, I will be flying to the US from London and will land at JFK Terminal 8 at 15:35. I will then have to catch a flight to Washington Ronald Reagan at 16:51, also from Terminal 8, leaving a transfer time of 1hr16mins. My flights were all booked at the same time and so are all on one ticket. Will this be enough time and will I have to collect my luggage and re-check or not? I've read conflicting things so all advice is appreciated

Yes, upon arrival in T8 you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. The minimum connect time is 90 minutes. It can be done in 1 hr 16 mins but that depends on your flight from London being on-time or preferably early and everything going smoothly.

My sons flight arrives at 1300 Terminal 1 and has to clear customs and collect baggage departing 1420 Term 3 EY/AZ codeshare flight to Genoa. Does he have sufficient connecting time?

I think you have your terminals backwards. A flight to Genoa on Alitalia would leave from Terminal 1. Where is your son coming from? Did he purchase two separate tickets or were they purchased together?

  • connection in 40mins

Hello i am connecting from Cahrlotte Douglas and stopping for 40mins to connect to a London flight with US airways is that enough time ?

That is enough time if your first flight is on-time, but it leaves no time to spare if there are any delays with your first flight.

  • 2hrs 50mins in DFW to clear immigration and Security

My aged parents are travelling from London to Austin via DFW. They arrive at Terminal D. They will have to collect their checked-in baggages, clear immigration and then re-checkin for the DFW-AUS flight . They have 2hrs and 50 mins between the two flights. Is that time enough? They will have mobility assistance.

That should be plenty of time. They won't actually have to re-check in for DFW-AUS. They will be issued both boarding passes in London, assuming their tickets were purchased on one reservation.

  • Transit from Puerto Rico

Hi, I'm a non US citizen looking at a flight from Puerto Rico transit in MIA then on to Cancun. All with AA. It gives me 45 minutes transit time between connections. This seems ridiculously short. Will I make it?

It's possible All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate and all AA gates at MIA are connected inside security.

I'm flying from Quito Ecuador to calgary, with a connection through Houston with United. I was supposed to have a 1 hour 40 min layover but because of a delayed flight I will be lucky to have an hour. I will need to get my bags and go through US customs in Houston. I have Nexus. Will I make my connection?

Since you have an International to International connection you should not have to claim your bags. You have a chance of making it. If not they have other ways of getting you to Calgary.

American Airlines doesn't fly from Lima to Mexico City. Please double check your reservation.

  • Flight change leaves one hour for terminal change

We are scheduled to arrive in lax at 1155 in terminal 1 (southwest) and need to be on a flight to Thailand in the international terminal which leaves at 1250. Is this too risky? What if we changed our flight to arrive in la at 1115?

Yes, that is impossible. Even the 11:15 would be very difficult, bordering on impossible.

Flying United into Gate C30 - shows leaving from D52, cannot locate D on terminal maps

What airport? Is your second flight United too?

yes we are flying into ohare from Harrisburg, Pa - it is our connector to las vegas flying united.

ORD does not have a gate D52, you are probably seeing your arrival gate into Las Vegas. All United gates at ORD are connected inside security.

  • US to AMS then on to Stansted, UK
    May 11, 2015

Hi, I want to go from the US to Stansted in England, but since there's no direct flight anymore after 9/11, I need to go to AMS then buy a separate ticket to Stansted. Will I need to go through customs if I'm not leaving the airport except on another plane, and if so, how much time should I allow? thanks!

If you check a bag you will have to go through passport control to claim your baggage and re-check it in Amsterdam. If you only bring a carryon and check-in online for your flight to Stansted then you can just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

flight is from houston to guatemala city. i have 50 min when i land in houston. Does this give me enough time to catch my plane to Guatemala. United Airlines

As long as your first flight is domestic and on-time then, yes, that should be enough time.
