Can we make it? Arriving from NAS with Delta at 20:51 and having the flight to Paris (AirFrance) at 23:20. We need to get thru border check and customs... but can we do it on time ? also, considering that tickets are separate can we check in directly luggage with delta in order to avoid luggage reclaim and recheck ? Than you

You will pre-clear US Immigration in Nassau. Delta does not check through baggage when you purchase separate tickets. You will have to claim it and take it to Air France to re-check. you should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Hi All, I am travelling from Dubai to Orlando via JFK. I have only 2 hours lay over in JFK to connect JetBlue flight from JFK to Orlando. My Dubal to JFK flight arrives on Terminal 4. I have to go to terminal 5 to catch Jetblue flight. Do we have any quick line for to clear port of entry in JFK for visitiors?

You will not need a "quick line" you have plenty of time.

Do we have option of quick line in JFK?

There is no such line anyway.

I am arriving from Burlington, VT at 7:59pm and have a flight to London leaving at 9:50pm; a layover of 1 hr 51 minutes. Arriving flight is Jetblue; departing flight is British Airways; no checked luggage. Is the 1hr51min enough time to make my connection.

It should be if your first flight is on-time. You will have to take the AirTrain from Terminal 5 to Terminal 7, get your BA Boarding pass if you don't already have it, and go through security.

Hello, I will arrive from LHR to terminal D at 5:55 PM and my next flight departs at 19:40 to Calgary. I´m not sure from which terminal it will departs (on the reservation is D, when I check it on-line there is nothing.. ). Would I be able to make it? Without missing the flight? Thank for an advice!!

Yes, that should be enough time. If the Calgary flight doesn't depart from D you can go through security in D and then take the SkyTrain to your departure gate.

Thank you! So the procedure upon arrival will be following (coming from London): at terminal D go throuhg immigration (pasport control), than get my checked baggage, do to the customs, transfer between terminals and in another terminal let checked baggage again to the flight to Calgary? and at the end go through security control? Is not there in Dallas somthing like just drop off my check baggage, when it will have sticker with the final destination of Calgary? Thank you! It seems to me, that 1 hour and 40 minutes is so little time for this procedure..

Actually this is the procedure - You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, collect your baggage, go through US Customs, then re-check your baggage immediately afterwards at the re-check desk. Then you will go up to the departure level and go through security. Then, if your flight to Calgary isn't departing from Terminal D, you take the SkyTrain to your departure terminal.

Coming in on United from BTV and flying United to Vancouver. International? How do I get from one terminal to another

You will arrive in Terminal 1 or 2 and depart from Terminal 1. You do not have to use Terminal 5, the "International Terminal". Terminal 1 and 2 are connected inside security by a walkway.

In February, I will be flying from St Maarten to Newark with 85 minutes before my connection to Toronto departs. Is this enough time?

That is below the minimum connection time for such a connection. You should ask to be rebooked on a later flight to Toronto.

My flight arrives in terminal 3 and i have to get to terminal 5. Is 1 hr 40 min time between flights sufficient. Arrival - american eagle.

Yes, that should be enough time. What airline are you flying out of T5?

Thank you for the response. etihad. Do they have a shuttle bus inside secure area? or do i have to go through security again?

No, there is no shuttle bus for Etihad passengers. You will have to take the ATS train and go through security again.

I arrive in Seattle from Vancouver with 45 minutes connection time between scheduled landing and scheduled take-off. Is that enough time (assuming no delays) for transfer to international flight, including luggage? Seems tight.

If your tickets were purchased together it should be enough time.

I'm arriving on friday to T8 15:50 from HEL and taking a 17:29 flight to PWM from T5. Only carry-on luggage. Tickets are bought separately. Can I make it?

Yes, but it doesn't leave much room for and possible delays.

Thank You for the quick response. I forgot to mention that I'm a Finnish resident. Will that make a difference? And if I miss that second flight, will I get my money back?

    Finnish citicen, I mean :)

Yes, it makes a difference, your immigration line will be longer. Since you booked separate reservations, JetBlue is not obligated to refund any money or even rebook you if your miss your first flight.

Is there any shuttle services between Terminal 1 and 4? Also how do you get from Terminal 4 to the American Egale gates 44H?

There is a shuttle that runs outside security along the curbfront. It is very slow as it has to sit in traffic. It is often faster to walk. Once you clear security in T4, another shuttle bus will take you to the American Eagle gates.

Hi, I am looking at tickets now which come from Paris (CDG) to JFK, and with connecting flight to LAX and I only have two hours between the flights, is that enough? Or should I have more time when coming from Europe? It's Air France from Paris and Delta to LAX

2 hours should be enough time.

I am arriving from Ottawa Canada with a 45 minute layover to catch flight to San Diego. Is that enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration in Ottawa. If you arrive in Concourse A it is connected to C/D where you will depart by the AeroTrain and mobile lounge.

    Thanks ZAP!

I am looking at a flight from Vancouver, Canada, which leaves me with an hour layover at SEATAC to make my outbound connection for Amsterdam with Delta. It seems as the inbound delta flight from YVR uses the B gates, and the outbound Delta flight is S gates. Baggage should be handled as it is all Delta, and typically you have to pre-clear customs in Vancouver prior to departure. 1) Will I be able to make it?

Yes, you will preclear US Immigration in Vancouver, an hour should be enough time.

How long is needed to connect between incoming from Detroit to outgoing to london

What airlines? Were tickets purchased together? If both flights are on United 30 to 40 minutes should be sufficient.

  • International to Domestic Transfer at JFK

Flight segments from Billund, Denmark to Amsterdam to JFK for Danish traveler on KLM/Delta Airlines. Connection to domestic Delta flight from JFK to Austin, Texas. Two hour connection time in New York. Possibly carry-on luggage only I understand clearing immigration, collecting any checked luggage, passing customs, and rechecking baggage. I am also aware of Fast-Pass at customs if the connection time is tight. The question is whether I clear customs and then use the shuttle between T2-T4, or vice versa, and avoid additional security lines. Again, this is for an international to domestic connection. Thank you for any info.

You can go through Security in T4 after clearing customs and rechecking your bags and then take the shuttle to T2 or you can take the AirTrain to T2 after you re-check your bags and go through security there. There's no way to avoid having to go through security again in JFK.
