  • San Diego connection

Flying US Airways from Boston to San Diego, with a 31 min connection at PHL. Will I have enough time to get to my connecting flight?

If your first flight is on-time and you run, you can make it. But if it's delayed, you have a slim chance unless the second flight is also delayed.

Thanks for your quick response! Thankfully, I was assigned a seat in the second row for my first flight so I'll keep my fingers crossed for no delays.

No, all gates in Charlotte are connected inside security.

  • ENOUGH TIME TO GET THROUGH CUSTOMS???

I am flying from Los Cabos, Mexico to Dallas at 6:45 pm via US Airways and connecting via US Airways at 8:15 pm for my next flight. Will an hour and 30 minutes be enough time to go through customs and get to my next plane?

Note that your first and possibly both flights will be operated by American Airlines. 90 minutes is the minimum international to domestic connection time in DFW. Everything will have to go right for you to make your connection.

  • Maui to Chicago to Philly

We are looking at a flight from Maui to Chicago and then Chicago to Philly with an hour between to catch our final flight to Philly. It looks like I would be coming in to concourse B and would need to depart from C to Philadelphia. Is an hour enough time between flights to get from B to C as well as have our bags transferred?

That is plenty of time. There's also a good chance that both flights could be in B or both flights could be in C. United uses all those gates. It takes maybe 5 minutes to walk between all gates in Terminal 1. B and C are connected by an underground walkway.

Thank you! That puts my mind at ease.

I am flying into ORD from DEN on United with a connection on Turkish Air to Istanbul. Will I arrive on one terminal and depart on another? Do I have to go back through security? Currently I have 1hour and 42 minutes layover, providing I arrive at ORD on time.

Yes, you will arrive in Terminal 1 and depart from Terminal 5. The ATS Train connects them outside security, so you will have to go through security again in Terminal 5. Assuming your tickets were purchased together your baggage will be transferred automatically though.

I will be flying from Syracuse to Atlanta, then Atlanta to Montego Bay. I have only a 47 minute layover inbetween. Is this enough time?

That should barely be enough time. You will take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where your flight to Montego Bay will depart.

With the shuttle you will likely barely have enough time if your flight from Halifax is on-time.

Hello, We are travelling from Madrid to Rome on Iberia at 11:10 and have a flight to Palermo on Vueling at 12:50, is this enough time to make the connection? Do we need to go through customs in Rome? Thanks.

Without checked baggage that should be enough time. With checked baggage it will be difficult as you will have to transfer it yourself. No, you do not go through customs as Spain and Italy are both within the Schengen Area.

I'm arriving at DFW at 1.35 on Qantas and have a connecting flight to Boston with AA leaving at 3.30. Will I make this flight?

That should barely be enough time. You will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security then take the SkyLInk train to your departure gate if your gate to Boston is not in Terminal D.

Yes, you all gates at DEN are connected inside security. You will have plenty of time.

i am going to Jamaica on US air through Philadelphia airport. Do I have to go through security point when I make connection flight since its leaving from different terminal? Is 1hr enough to get to terminal B from A and security line?

No, all terminals at PHL are connected by walkways or a shuttle bus inside security. You should have enough time.

  • Flying with Delta on 1 ticket but changing at Jfk

We are going to be flying from London to Toronto with Delta on 1ticket with a layover of 88 mins in JFK. We are worried this may not be enough time as we do not know if we need to pass through customs & immigration or collect & re-check our bags? You have mentioned on other posts about Terminal 4 & Delta's new procedures for connections so I assume they will help us make the connecting flight?

That is 2 minutes shorter than the recommended connection time. Yes, you will arrive in Terminal 4, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and to your departure gate, which should also be in Terminal 4.

Hi. I have 2.5 or so hour layover in LA from Sydney this Saturday. Do I need to pick up my baggage and then go through customs to transfer?

Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your baggage, go through US Customs, then re-check your baggage at the transfer desk, assuming it is tagged to your final destination.

I'm off from Manchester (MAN) to Washington (IAD) and want to know if one hour is enough time to connect as it may be between satellites. I'm taking the A380 (just so you know)

Yes, that should be enough time.
