  • Expired license
    Sep 11, 2013
What should one do if their license expired while travelling? anyone know if security gives a couple days grace?

Yes, they usually do give a few days grace period. However, it also helps if you have something else with your name on it with you, preferably with your photo on it (like a company or school ID).

  • Have to go from terminal c gate 76 and terminal d d3 in 40 min
    Sep 10, 2013
    Is this doable??

There is no gate C76, but if it's a Delta flight in terminal C, then yes, you can do that connection in 40 minutes if your first flight is on-time.

  • ATL to IAH to Lake Charles,la-- 48 minute layover
    Sep 10, 2013
is 48 minutes enough time to make this connection?

Yes, if your first flight is on-time and you hurry. Most ATL-IAH arrivals are in B (although a few are in C). Your IAH-LCH flight will leave from A-North. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals beyond security.

  • 50 min. between connection do-able?
    Sep 10, 2013
Southwest flight arr. PHX at 9:25; connection (also Southwest) leaves 10:15 for EWR. Is 50 min. too tight of a connection to make?? I'm hoping same gate area.

Yes, that should be enough time assuming your first flight is on-time.

coming in ondelta from little rocck connecting toBA flight to london whts the easiest way for elderly

Were all of your tickets bought on the same reservation? If they weren't and you have checked baggage you'll have to claim it, then you have to take a shuttle bus that connects you to the International terminal where you can check your bags with British Airways. If you don't have checked bags, or they are checked all the way through to London, you can just take the plane train from your arrival concourse to Terminal E/F where your British Airways flight will depart. Make sure to get your British Airways boarding pass as soon as you can, preferably before you leave Little Rock via their website.

  • DTW First Timer
    Sep 10, 2013
I'm flying from Toronto to Amsterdam, connection at DTW. All flights are either Delta or Delta/operated by KLM. My understanding is... once at DTW, I'll need to claim baggage, clear customs, and re-check any baggage again.... If my flights are on time, will 55 mins be enough time to transfer?

That is incorrect, on your way to Amsterdam, you will pre-clear US immigration in Toronto, all you will have to do is go from gate to gate. 55 minutes is enough time to do this. On the way from Amsterdam to Toronto, if you're connecting in Detroit then, that is when you would have to go through US immigration in Detroit.

Thanks for answering my question so quick. Your help with this was appreciated.

Is a 45 minute layover enough in CVG? I'd fly Delta, arriving from Nashville and departing for Grand Rapids at approx 6:30pm. It will be Thanksgiving weekend. Thanks!

Yes. That should be plenty of time. Thank You.

All the Delta/Delta Connection flights at CVG are on the same concourse

Yes...you should be fine with 45 minutes. CVG is a hub for Delta Connection.

  • Connecting time between lh 851 and lh 1422
    Sep 10, 2013
Do I have enough time for connection LH 851 arriving from Helsinki and LH 1422 departing for Bucharest? Thanks!

You arrive at T1A at 7:55pm at Terminal 1, gate A, and depart at Terminal 1, gate B at 8:40pm - you have enough time for transfer.

La Tapenade is a scam. Sold me Turkey Avocado sandwiches without the avocado or the purported lemon cilantro tortilla.

  • is 1 hour enough time from terminal 3 to terminal 4
    Sep 11, 2013
I will be taking two separate airlines and not checking any bags, I will only have my one carry on. My virgin america flight lands at 8:40 in terminal 3 and my American Eagle flight leaves at 9:40 out of terminal 4. Is one hour enough time? Can I walk to terminal 4 or do I need to take a shuttle. Do I have to go through Security again?

Yes, you can walk between the terminals, in fact you'll probably want to run! Yes, you will have to go through security again in T4. Make sure to check-in for your American Eagle flight before you leave (either online and print out a boarding pass or on a mobile device/with the AA app), as you will be past the check-in cutoff by the time you get to T4.

Additionally, once you get to T4 and through security, you will have to take a shuttle bus from the main part of T4 to the American Eagle satellite terminal.

Thanks, and 1 hour is enough time to do all this? How long will it take to run? and how long is the shuttle to american eagle satellite terminal?

Running between them will take maybe 10-15 minutes. Security shouldn't be too bad because you will be getting there at a pretty dead time. The shuttle will probably take another 15 minutes.

  • Flying from domestic to international

We're flying Delta from STL to JFK on Tues 9/24, arriving at JFK at 2:14pm. Then fly from JFK, also Delta, to Athens, the flight leaving at 4:39pm. The two flights are not connected, and we will have checked luggage. Will we have enough time upon landing at JFK to collect our luggage, get to the appropriate terminal (I am guessing we land in 2 but leave for Athens out of 4), and make our flight on time, assuming neither flight is delayed?

Delta should be able to join your PNR's and check your bags through to Athens in St. Louis. You will probably need to ask an agent for assistance but they should be able to do it. If they are then you can take the Delta shuttle bus from T2 to T4 and stay inside the secure area. Even in the unlikely event that you do have to claim your baggage, you should have enough time, barely. In that case you will have to take the AirTrain between terminals.

Can you get from Terminal E to Terminal A via a walk way?

Yes, but it's a very long walk outside.

  • Immigration Wait Time

We are on UA, and will be travelling from Costa Rica connecting in IAH, onto Chicago, on Sept 16. We arrive IAH at 11:20A and depart for Chicago at 1:26P. There is 2 hours between flights. Is that enough time to pass through Immigration. Thanks

Yes, that should be enough time. Also, if you miss your connection, United has hourly flights between Houston and Chicago, so you have ample opportunity for re-booking.

we have 40 minutes to make a connection flying on Delta Operated by ENDEAVOR AIR Extra concern is I need to have use of a wheelchair. How do I handle this at the airport?/

You need to request wheelchair service from Delta by calling them.

I always request a wheelchair but some airports are better at having them then other, and I never used DWT or had to transfer planes before so I don't know how long that will take.

I did ask for a wheelchair

OK you should be fine then. 40 minutes is enough time if your flights are on-time.
