  • Terminal C Arrival - Terminal A Departure

I am flying from SNA to EWR arriving at Terminal C. 55 minutes after arrival I am to depart on a flight to YOW from Terminal A. Will I have enough time and what is the best way to get from Terminal C to Terminal A?

On arrival at EWR, take the shuttle bus between TC & TA - at TC near gate C71; at TA near gate A28 - no security check needed.

I am a European citizen and I will fly from in Rome, Italy to San Juan, Puerto Rico in 18 dec. I have to choose a ticket between a BA fly that gets to terminal 7 and have 2 hours and 5 minutes to reach the nest fly to terminal 8 operated by AA, or a ticket for flight with Alitalia reaching Terminal 1 and I have 2 hours and 25 minutes to fly from terminal 2 with Delta. Who ticket is the best option, they have almost the same price but I must buy tomorrow the ticket. Thank you very much

Haven't been through CDG before, and app. it's a nightmare. I arrive in 2E from Aberdeen, Scotland, and my flight leaves to the US from 2E- I presume that I just move straight from the gate of arrival to to the departure gate?

Yes indeed CDG is a challenge (their site detailing the various connections has been unavailable for the last 6 weeks). T2E: the largest of the T2 terminals; Level 2 is the Departures level with check-in counters on both sides of the center and two security checkpoint thereafter for either K or L & M satellite gates. Straight on it will lead to Gates K21-K54; while the shuttle train will take you to either of the separate satellite buildings of Concourse L (gates L21-53) or Concourse M (gages M21-50)

Our flight from Raleigh to Atlanta lands only 1 hour before we leave for Costa Rica on an International flight. I booked the flight through Orbitz for my wife and I and we are not checking any bags. Just carrying on. Being that the flight is on time, will we make our connecting flight?

On arrival at ATL take the underground 'Plane Train' which stops at the center of each Concourse. The International Terminal has Concourses E & F with corresponding gates - get off at either E or F (overhead screens will indicate flight & gate numbers). You have enough time.

Thanks! Will we need to go through security again being that it's an international flight?

No, there is no security inspection when going between concourses

I'm flying in from Istanbul with KLM (operated by KLM) and then to Paris also with Air France (operated by KLM). The transfer time is 45 min. Is this time enough? I have non-EU passport. What is the transfer procedure? Should I collect my luggage, check-in, go to security and passport check, or should I go directly to the gate?

    1. At AMS, Arrivals from a non-Schengen (foreign) country: note that the passport will be checked upon arrival at, and departure from, Amsterdam Airport. On arrival, after passport control, follow signs to 'Baggage Hall' located on the ground level, retrieve your bags, & go through customs for security check. If you have nothing to declare, proceed to the Arrivals Hall through the green passage way (this area also has the main exit & train station). 2. Arrivals 1 & 2 areas lead up to Departures 1 & 2; and Arrivals 3 & 4 lead up to Departure 3. Departures 1 uses the B, C & D gates; Departures 2 uses the E gates; Departure 3 uses F, G, H & M gates. (Arrivals 1 & 2 and Arrivals 3 & 4 are on opposite sides of the center.) 3. Look at overhead screens to find your connecting flight & gate numbers. 45 mins is tight but doable.

Thank you very much, very helpful.

I will arrive at 20:25 from Athens by LH and depart for Budapest at 21:10 by LH, could I manage the transfer in time?

    1. At FRA, Lufthansa uses Terminal 1, Concourses A & B (with corresponding gates). 2. U.S. Arrivals are being processed at Area A where they go through passport control only. 3. To transfer between B gates (T1B) and A or Z gates (T1A), you can either use the transfer tunnel outside security, or the SkyLine train inside security leaving every 2-3 mins. You have enough time.

I'm looking to fly in from Houston-Bush to Charlottesville Albemarle. Is 40 minutes enough from arrival to departure to get between the UA mainline gates and the United Express gates?

Hi we are flying from London heathrow on 18/10/13 and have a 3 hr stop over and connection in Chicago we arrive terminal 5 and depart terminal 1 for Orlando will we need to go to baggage reclaim or will the luggage go straight to connecting flight apologies as I have not used connecting flights before

I also meant to say both flights are with AA

Any time you enter the US from abroad you have to claim your baggage and go through customs at your initial entry point.

Hi. I am flying from ATL to SFO via Denver and only have 30mins for layover on Frontier both legs. Will this be enough time ? Would this be the same gate or plane ?

Both flights will be in the same concourse. The Frontier operation at DEN is fairly compact.

If your first flight is on-time, you should. Make sure to check in online or on your smartphone for your US Airways flight.

I have a two hour layover from Cancun to LAX, on united is this enough time to make my flight?

Yes, that should be enough time. If for some reason you don't make your connection, United has almost hourly flights from IAH to LAX that you can be rebooked on.

we have an hour between flights is this enough time to get luggage and make the flights?

You will not arrive in Terminal 5. There are no arrivals in Terminal 5. You will arrive in Terminal 3. So all you will have to do after you clear customs is to go to the departures area and check-in with Aegean. However, only an hour is a very tight window to have to do that and unless your flight gets in quite early I don't think you will have enough time.

  • TBIT to terminal 6
    Oct 7, 2013

We just received a flight change notification saying that we arrive at TBIT at 1255. We then have a separate flight from terminal 6 at 1355. We do have nexus cards, but we will have to pick up our luggage, go through customs, and then security again. I'm guessing that 1.5 hours is going to quite difficult to do this in?

Correction we arrive at 1225 TBIT leave T6 at 1355. Flights are separately booked, so no transfer of luggage. Is 1.5 hours impossible for this connection? Thanks!

Unless the new connector to Terminal 4 is now officially open (a tunnel connects T4, T5 & T6), you have only 2 options available to get to T6 - taxi or bus; either way, you need to go through security check at T6 before proceeding to your connecting gate. (The LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', runs every 12-15 mins. Starting from TBIT, the next stops are at Terminals T4, T5, & T6. With taxi & Nexus card you should be able to make it.

PilotJoe is incorrect. After you clear customs in the TBIT you can simply walk outside on the departure level from the TBIT to T6. It's about a 10 minute walk. With NEXUS you should be OK.
