  • Delta flights terminals 2 and 4

We have a 55 minute connection between 2 Delta flights, arriving at Terminal 2 then departing from Terminal 4. I have heard the Delta shuttle bus line is sometimes long enough to fill 3 buses. Is there realistically a chance of making the connecting flight and are buses busier at certain times of day?

The buses are probably busiest in the early afternoon, before the transatlantic flights leave in late afternoon. It's possible to make the connection, but as you say, it might be tough, especially with how delay-prone JFK is.

I have 1:20 between flights arriving United Express in T8 to Lufthansa in TB. What's the best way to go between, and must I go through security again? Thanks.

At LAX, you have 2 options to get from T8 to TBIT (TB) - both of them, however, still require you to go through security check at TBIT before proceeding to your gate. (a) walk: a short walkway is between T8 & T7. At T7 take escalator down to tunnel connecting to T6, T5, T4; take escalator up and walk left around the bend to TBIT. (b) take bus: the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Next stops: After T8 but goes to the other side to T1, T2, T3 & TBIT: 4 stops or 10 mins. Hurry!

I will be arriving on United airlines from Edmonton,Alberta then connect to Fort Lauderdale on United as well. Will I have to change terminals and if so do I catch a tram or can I walk

As Edmonton Airport has U.S. Customs clearance, you are considered a domestic arrival at IAH. United is the only airline using Terminals A, B, C & E. On arrival, simply look at overhead screens to find your connecting flight & gate number; then look for the LinkTrain sign which starts at Terminal A and runs inside security taking a total of 30 mins to Terminal D/E station. (gate numbers correspond to Terminal (i.e., A10).

You will likely both arrive and depart in Terminal C.

    thanks, much appreciated

My husband arrives international from Australia and I land and T8 2 hours later. What is the best way for him to come to find me?

Probably in the United baggage claim in Terminal 7 - however, it's not a very nice place to wait. He'll probably want to take his time getting over there.

  • security between T1 and T2?
    Jul 6, 2013

I'm finding conflicting info on whether or not I will need to go through security (on United connecting flights) between T1 and T2. As it will be the Christmas rush, I'm wanting to be sure 45 minutes will be enough time. Thanks for any advice as I haven't flown through ORD before.

You can easily walk between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 without going through security - just follow the signs in T1 pointing to the E and F gates. 45 minutes should be OK if your first flight is on-time.

  • LAS - ORD - LHR (Friday 4th October - arriving at ORD 4.40pm)

I will be arriving at ORD from Las Vegas on the 4th at 4.40pm, the connecting flight to London leaves at 6.30pm, will this give me enough time? Any help and tips will be greatly appreciated.

Meant to add, flying United Airlines on all legs

Yes, that's plenty of time. Both of your flights will be in Terminal 1 and you don't have to go through any security or immigration in Chicago. If you need to go between concourses B and C, there's a tunnel that connects them.

  • Alitalia/Delta connection in Amsterdam with only 1 hr 35 min

I am flying from Florence on Alitalia to Amsterdam and then on to NYC/USA on Delta with only 1 hr 35 min between flights. Is that enough time? What do I have to do before going to my departing gate?

Yes, that should be enough time. All you will have to do is go to the gate for your Delta flight where you will go through security.

  • How does Passport control/bagage claim work

How does Passport control/bagage claim work with Int'l flights arriving in Concourse C? Do I have to leave Con C to reenter the USA via customs with my Claimed bag or is that process all contained within Con C?

Usually everything is done within C - sometimes you are transported via mobile lounge to the IAB though - http://www.metwashairports.com/dulles/884.htm

This little sports bar looks promising, but the food is grim, fodder that even a goat would not recognize as sustenance. My $10 tuna sandwich was cold prepackaged fare that consisted of some meaty tuna-ish substance smeared between two slices of a thing I consider an insult to bread everywhere.

Hi guys, we'r flying into DFW from London in April connecting to Orlando will 3 hours be enough time? would anyone have any idea which terminals aa use ?thanks

First -3 hrs is plenty of time. On arrival a DFW at International Terminal D you will need to go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in your bags. The Skylink train at post-security gets you to your connecting flight. To familiarize yourself with the terminal layout & transfers, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/dfw and click on 'Terminal Map' under Quick Links, then scroll down to the detailed text.

I arrive 7/6 on flt 4598 terminal b and depart on flt4601 terminal a. how do I get there

Note that sometimes 4601 will depart from Terminal B, however, if you do have to get between A and B, it's just a 5-10 minute ride on the TerminaLink train.

Arriving from PTY to Houston on United UA1033. What Terminal I will arrive. Where do I go next (Customs/Security). My destination flight is LAX UA1695. What Terminal, internal transportation I need to take and directions to get there. Thanks a lot!

On arrival at IAH, the International Arrivals building can be accessed from both Terminal E & C, with separate US Customs. Arriving passengers go through customs & take the escalator down to Baggage Claim Level 1. From there they go through Exit Control and enter to the right the baggage recheck area, which has an escalator down to the Inter-Terminal Train to Terminals A, B & C. (After customs clearance and re-checking-in bags, go straight out to the International Arrivals Lobby which has an escalator down to the Inter-Terminal Train taking you to your connecting terminal). United Airlines uses Terminals A, B & E. On arrival look at overhead screens to find your flight & gate number, as well as your departure time.

You will arrive in Terminal E and depart from Terminal C. You will likely not have to take any trains.

  • connecting in JFK to Italy

My daughter is flying from Ohare to JFK and catching a connecting flight to Milan on July 11. Both flights on Delta. Her layover is only an hour. Is that enough time?

It's doable, but tough. JFK frequently has delays and she will have to take the Delta shuttle bus from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4.
