We aree arriving at MIA from Kingston on a saturday afternoon at 2.55PM and have a connection from MIA to LAS leaving at 4.30 PM. Both flights with AA We are flying business class for both flights. 2 questions : 1.Do we have to retrieve our luggage and re-check it? 2. I know it is going to depend on how many flights arrive at that time, but do those of you who know think that we will be able to do this connection? Thanks

Yes, you will have yo reclaim your baggage in immigration then re-check it with American when you exit customs. It will be very tight. Immigration has been really bad at MIA lately. Unfortunately if you miss your connection there are no flights from Miami to Las Vegas until the next morning, however, they might be able to re-book you connecting through dallas.

  • La to Mexico City connection

I arrive in la from Sydney Australia at 6.40am (Qantas) will I make a flight to Mexico City which leave at 8.05am?? (Alaskan Airline)??

It's sort of pushing it. You may not get out of immigration until 7:30 which would leave you only 35 minutes to get to T6 and through security. If you don't already have your Alaska boarding pass and have to check bags separately at AS, then you will probably have missed the cutoff at that point.

  • Delta to JetBlue in 1:25?

I am flying from San Diego to Seattle on Delta, from 4:15pm to 6:50pm. I then have to get off the plane, get to the main terminal, check my baggage with JetBlue, go through security and my flight is at 8:15pm. Will I have enough time to do everything? Flight 7661 from San Diego to Seattle It is flight 907 on JetBlue

Delta flight 7661is actually Alaska Airlines flight 493. I think you will have enough time, but barely and you'll have to hurry.

I arrive in AMS from Minneapolis in US on Delta and I have 1 hour 40 minutes before my Delta flight to Stavanger Norway...what do I need to do? Also on my return flight from Stavanger on Delta I have to catch a Delta flight to Detroit and am not sure what I have to do once I make it to Amsterdam. Do I need to get my checked bag. I know I have to go through passport check before connection...but what about customs.

As a non-Schengen (foreign) arrival AMS, your passport will be checked upon arrival at, and departure from, Amsterdam Airport. Thereafter follow signs to 'Baggage Hall' located on the ground level, retrieve your bags, & go through customs clearance. If you have nothing to declare, proceed to the Arrivals Hall through the green passage way. As you are connecting to a Schengen country (Norway), proceed through ticket control & security check; ON YOUR RETURN to AMS security check will be at the gate. Note that the transfer desks offer transfer information, and serve as check-in for a connecting flight - or - use of the self-service transfer kiosk. Delta uses most likely Departures / Arrivals 2 (E gates). Your transfer time should suffice.

Well, your AMS-Stavanger and Stavanger-AMS flights are operated by KLM, not Delta. In Amsterdam you will not have to do anything with your bag. You will just go through Schengen immigration on the way to Stavanger and on the way back you will just have to go through security at your gate before your Detroit flight.

On May 2nd 2014 we will be flying from Nashville to Paris, all on US Airlines .Will 90 min be sufficient connection time { do we need to leave security to make connection?], or should we take the flight giving 3 hr 19 min to connect? Thanks

At CLT US Airways uses Terminals B, C, D & E. Open http://www.ifly.com/charlotte-douglas-international-airport/terminal-map & scroll down to the detailed text.

If your first flight is on-time, 90 minutes is sufficient. All gates at CLT are connected beyond security.

  • United at Terminal 1---Concourse?

Which concourse does United generally depart from at Terminal 1?

T1 at ORD serves all domestic flights & international departures of United, at either Concourse B or C (with B & C gates). Your boarding pass and overhead screens will indicate flight number & gate. NOTE: Concourse C is in a separate building, connected at its center by a walkway to the center of Concourse B.

Thanks for your excellent information on both questions. Very helpful.

United Express flights also depart from concourses E and F of Terminal 2, which is connected to Terminal 1 beyond security.

i am arriving from btv to ord terminal 1 concourse c and will be departing from terminal 5. Will I have to go through customs again at terminal 5?

Only international arrivals go through customs. On arrival at Terminal 1, look for the ATS train sign getting you to the International Terminal 5, where the train arrives in the unsecured area. Go through security check and on to your "M" gate.

After going through customs, will I have time to meet a friend and go have dinner before departing on domestic flight

After going through customs at Terminal 5, you can meet your friend in the Arrivals hall, best near information counter, and have dinner with him in the unsecured area of Terminal. Open www.ifly.com/ord then click on Restaurants, Bars under heading AIRPORT INFORMATION, top left.

Hi, next week will depart Tegucigalpa Honduras, making a connection at Atlanta to my Final destination in London Heathrow all through Delta 552 and 10, basically I have 2 questions, will I have to recheck my baggage in Atlanta or it will go directly to London? I ve done my research and it seems my flight from TGU will be arriving at Concourse E and my Connection to London is in F, what is more recommended at Atlanta the train? Walking through Concourses is possible?

Concourse E arrivals who continue their journey will be processed right there (passport check, pick up bag, go through customs clearance, re-check-in bag). On the arrivals level the E-F Connector lead to the Plane Train connecting E & F concourses; you can also use the underground walkway.

Fresno is also not a very big airport, you shouldn't find it terribly confusing.

  • which terminal does KLM airline use?

I will be arriving Rome via KLM. I have to catch the tour coach bus in terminal 3 in 30 minutes after flight arrival (including claiming luggages). Do you know which terminal KLM use? Will I have enough time to catch the bus?

Currently, at FCO all International 'Non-Schengen' flights, including U.S. flights, arrive at Terminal 3, at either Gates G or H. From there, passengers go through immigration /passport control. (Terminal 5 serves departing flights to U.S.) 30 mins is extremely short. Hopefully, the tour coach is right outside the baggage claim, or across the street in front of the Garage. Find out.

Since both the Netherlands and Italy are in Schengen, you won't have to go through immigration in Rome. However, you will still have to hurry.
