  • Terminal transfer and connecting time

I will be arriving from Guatemala City at 4:05 pm on United and making a connection to a United flight to Edmonton at 5:45 PM. Is there enough time to make the connection - 1 hr 40 min?

That will be tough. You will arrive in Terminal E where you will go through immigration, claim your bags, go through customs, and re-check them. You will then go back through security and to your gate which will likely be in Terminal C. It's possible, but your first flight will have to be on-time and you'll have to hurry.

We're a party of 10 flying from Helsinki to NY on American Airlines 6025 arriving at JFK terminal 8 at 15.55. We have a connecting American Airlines flight to Miami at 17.45. Is it possible to make it to the connecting flight timewise?

American 6025 is actually Finnair flight 5, however, it sill still arrive in Terminal 8. If your first flight is on-time you should have enough time.

Will be arriving at Terminal 1 AT 13:05, will need to connect with Delta, terminal 4, flight at 16:10, is that enough time and how long to get between terminals.

Yes, that's plenty of time. I'm assuming your T1 flight is International. You will clear Immigration, claim your baggage, go through us customs. Then, if your bag is tagged through to Delta you can re-check it in T1, but if not, take it with you, and take the AirTrain/Air Terminals Train from T1 to T4. It will only take about 15 minutes to get between terminals.

Thanks for the info, will try to get bags checked thru the Delta flight, may save a little. thanks

  • Connecting between C and D in Atlanta

Is using the train to get to Terminal C from terminal D the only option. I have only 40 minutes to connect between flights if all is on time

There is a walkway in the tunnel that runs alongside the train, but taking the train is faster. You should be able to get between your gates in 10-15 minutes. Note that C and D are not separate terminals but merely concourses of the same terminal.

  • Pet Relief Areas?

Are there pet relief areas at CLE and if so, where are they?

The pet relief area at CLE Airport is at the South of end of baggage claim, nearest to Carousel 2. Owners will exit through Door 1 and walk to the left (following signs) around the corner. Pet waste pickup bags and a trash receptacle are available. Owners are asked to clean up after their pets.

Worst customer experience I've had in the last month. Served out of order, ignored, order forgotten, no apology, overpriced and the coffee tastes terrible. Go to the other coffee shop near A/B if you have any choice, it's much better.

Hi, if i'm stopping in IAH for 40mins, do I have time totake the shuttle? will i have to go through security again if i do take the TerminaLink shuttle ? thank you

The TerminaLink runs inside security. You do not have to go through security if you need to take it to get between your gates.

My travel agency insist 40 mins is enough time for me to connect in newark. I will be arriving from LAX at 4:55pm and hoping on a flight to GVA at 5:35pm. If the terminals are the same, will i have to go through security again, or straight to my departing gate? Thanks

Your arrival at & departure from EWR depends on which airline(s) you take. While Terminal A is handling all domestic flights, Terminal B handles all international flights. Exception: United uses exclusively Terminal C for some domestic and all international flights and Terminal A for some of its domestic flights. If you need to connect between TA & TC - take the shuttle bus between TA & TC - at TA (near gate A28), TC (near gate C71) - no security check needed. If you need to connect between TA & TB - take the Airtrain, in which case you would need to go through security check first.

Yes i am flying united all the way through. If i arrive in terminal C and depart from terminal C will i have to go through security once i land in newark

No, you will not have to go through security, you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates in Terminal C are connected beyond security.

We're flying United from SLC to LAX on 1/29 arriving at 7:05 am @ Terminal 8. Our Hawaiian Airlines flight is at 8:40 am from Terminal 2. I know we'll have to exit the airport and go back through security — and they won't transfer our bags, so we'll have to do that ourselves. Originally we had almost 2.5 hours between flights, but both airlines have changed their times. I'm a little stressed and United won't let us switch our flight to the day before. Someone had suggested exiting baggage claim at Terminal 7/8, getting a cab to Terminal 2. Then using the Skycap services — or Hawaiian Airlines web check-in bag drop — to expedite that process. Does anyone have a sense of whether this is possible?

You will not be able to get a cab that will take you between terminals.

  • 40 min connection time possible?
    Dec 19, 2013

I am coming from Orlanda, with a 40 min connection time in Newark, with a final destination of St. John's, Newfoundland. Is this 40 mins a reasonable time? Do I need to change terminals? I would assume I have to do Customs in St. John's.

Yes, immigration will be in St. John's. It's doable, but it will be tough if you arrive in Terminal C and your St. John's flight leaves from Terminal A. You won't know until the day of your flight. They ARE connected beyond security by a shuttle bus but it will still be difficult.

hi, i m travelling by canada airline from toronto to jfk and then to india by air india. could anyone guide me

Do you mean "Air Canada" - there is no "Canada Airline"? Were your tickets bought on one reservation or separate ones? Air Canada arrives in Terminal 7 and Air India departs from Terminal 4. They are connected outside security via the AirTrain. You will pre-clear US Immigration in Toronto.

thank you very much, it aircanada, tickets bought are separate one.

  • CUN to CLT to IND
    Dec 17, 2013

We're looking to book RT flights for IND --> CUN next February. The trip down is fine...a 59 minute layover in CLT. But the return only allows 1:23. Will this be sufficient to do the whole customs/baggage/re-check dance and still make our connection? The flight would be arriving at 4:12pm on a Wednesday and we're US citizens (if that makes any difference...I've heard CLT has separate lines for US and non-US citizens...?) Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

That should be enough time. CLT isn't an extremely large airport and Wednesdays are slow travel days and if for some reason you miss your connection there's probably a later flight to IND from CLT.

  • Connection from Dublin to Charlotte

We will be flying from Dublin through Philadelphia to Charlotte. We will preclear customs in Dublin, but will have to change terminals in Philadelphia. Will we have to go through security again? Is 1:30 enough time to make the connection from Terminal A to Terminal F?

Your PHL->CLT flight will likely not operate from Terminal F, but all Terminals at PHL are connected beyond security.

Hi. I am flying soon from Oslo to Newark and then to Orland. Arrival and departure is on Newark terminal C. Will I do customs clearance and passport control in Newark or in Orlando? Will I have to pick up the luggage in Newark?

Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your baggage, go through US Customs, and re-check in Newark, then go to the departure level and go through security and to your departure gate to Orlando.

Is it possible to make an hour connection coming in from Nashville and then flying international?

If your first flight is on-time, yes. All gates at IAD are connected beyond security via the AeroTrain and mobile lounge.
