  • Connecting fron YYZ to DFW

I am arriving in ORD from Toronto (YYZ) on a United Flight & have a connecting flight on AA to DFW. Is 62 minutes enough time to make the connection? Is baggage cleared through to DFW from YYZ?

If you purchased your tickets together then yes, you will pre-clear US Customs and Immigration in Toronto and your bags will be transferred. However, if you bought two separate tickets you do not have enough time to claim your bags from United and then Re-check them with American. You will arrive in Terminal 1 or 2 and depart from Terminal 3. All three terminals are connected inside security by walkways.

So this flight from YYZ via United will not arrive at Terminal 5 - The International terminal for United?

Correct, United flights from Canadian airports with preclearance, like Toronto, arrive in Terminal 1 and 2.,

Right now the gate information is showing that our United flight from YYZ to ORD is coming in to Terminal 5 - the International Terminal. Our connecting flight is with American Airlines and I have 62 minutes to make the connecting flight out of Terminal 3.....is this enough time and do we have to go through Security again?

  • TSA Precheck gates

I need a list of TSA Precheck Gates for all terminals at DFW Airport.

A12, C21, D30, & E18 https://dfwairport.com/travel/security/index.php However, all gates are connected inside security, so if you are precheck but have a flight from Terminal B, you can go through security in A or D and then take the Skytrain to B.

  • LAX change terminal 2 to 4

Sorry just posted below but forgot to say it is LAX and flights are 7 on virhgin LHR to LAX and 1691 on American LAX to Vegas not tried to change here before and will have two bags! Thanks

So you're arriving at 2:25 PM on Virgin Atlantic and departing at 5:55 PM on American? OK, then you will arrive in Terminal 2, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then you need to walk from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4. Walk right out of T2, past T3 and the International Terminal, until you get to T4. Then you will have to check your bags with AA and go through security. If I have those times correct I think you will have enough time. It will take about 45 minutes to get through customs and about 20 minutes to walk to T4.

We arrive from cancun (united airlines) and transfer to British airways flight - we have 2 hours to do this connection. Do we have to go through security and must we reclaim and recheck luggage? Thank you

Yes, you will arrive in concourse C/D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags (if you purchased two separate tickets you will have to take your bags to the British Airways counter in the main terminal), then go through security and to your departure gate on concourse B. 2 hours is very marginal with regards to being enough time to make this connection.

I'm dropping a puppy off at the baggage claim area for the new owners and I have an option to choose a flght that leaves 56 minutes after my arrival flight. Is that enough time to go to baggage claim, give the puppy to a new owner (no chit chat), go back through security (carrying a purse only) and make my flight?

No, that's not really enough time.

  • Arrive on SQ depart on United

I will be arriving from Singapore on SQ at 11.55am and have planned to take a connection on US Airways at 1.25pm to Charlotte. Is this feasible to make it possible?

You typed United in the title but the flight you describe is on US Airways. That is a very difficult connection if you purchase the tickets separately as you will have to take your bags from the International Terminal to T6 after clearing customs and then re-check them with American/US Airways.

yes sorry I meant US Airways. So basically time would not be enough?

Correct. You would basically have to arrive early for that connection to work.

we are arriving from yul on delta terminal 2 with a transfert delat terminal 4. will we have enough time or should we stress?

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. Delta runs a shuttle bus between T2 and T4 inside security.

  • Transfer question

I am flying to Tampa on Virgin/Delta via JFK - single e-ticket. I have a 6 hour layover on outward so plenty of time for transfer. I arrive at JFK terminal 4 and I believe I have to go through immigration at JFK and collect bags and then go to JFK terminal 2 to check in for ongoing Delta flight. On the basis that I will have gone through immigration at JFK does the mean that the procedure will be quicker at Tampa when I arrive i.e. I will not have to go through immigration again as I have arrived on an internal flight? On return Delta flight from Tampa via JFK, are bags transferred direct to Virgin flight or do I have to collect them and recheck them in? Is the procedure different than the outgoing flight? I only have a 3 hour layover on return but assume this will be plenty of time. Any help will be appreciated. Sorry if these are silly questions but have always flown direct previously.

Yes, upon arrival in Tampa you only have to go to the baggage claim and claim your bags. Upon leaving the US you do not have to go through US Immigration. You just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in JFK. Delta runs a shuttle bus inside security between T2 and T4.

Landing in terminal B from LHR (London heathrow) at 18:05. I am Canadian resident (can go through US citizen immigration). Looking to make a flight to London ON Canada with UA at 19:35 out of terminal c. Possible ?

All of the above is at Newark

Flight to London, Ont will actually depart from Terminal A. That's possible, but barely. If there's an earlier flight from London I'd take that instead.

  • Connecting Flight from IAH to CDG

I am flying on United from Houston IAH to Paris CDG. Connection time at ORD shows to be 50 min. Is this enough time for any terminal change, security and customs?

You don't have to change terminals, go through security, or go through customs. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate from your arrival gate. Both will be in Terminal 1. You have enough time.

  • SAL - IAH - EWR - BHX with 2.05 connection time @ IAH

Good morning everybody and happy 2015! ^___^ I have the following flight plan on January the 8th, 2015: San Salvador (El Salvador) SAL - Houston IAH {UA 1467} (2 hours 5 minutes connection time) Houston IAH - Newark EWR {UA 0369} (1 hour 50 minutes connection time) Newark EWR - Birmingham (United Kingdom) BHX {UA 0027} I bought the three flights as a single ticket with United. Although I wish I could check in my bag in SAL to final destination and claim it at BHX, I doubt that this is allowed on a International-to-National and National-to-International USA connection combo like the one I have at IAH-EWR The question is: do I have to claim my bag at IAH, or EWR, or it can be sent straight to final destination? And: how long does it take to claim and re-check my bag at IAH? Does United have any priority queue for short connections? Kindly let me know! Your insight is much appreciated! And, again, have a wonderful 2015! ^___^ - Sam

If I fly in to JFK from Charlotte on US AIr terminal 8 , what is the best way to get my luggage and re-check my luggage and get boarding pass with Air France . thanks

You will need to claim your baggage then take the AirTrain to Terminal 1. Leave at least 2.5 hours for your transfer.

Arriving 2:15pm on Delta (Terminal 2). Leaving 4:10PM Alitalia (terminal 1). Can I make this connection?

Yes, that should be enough time. Your bags should be transferred automatically, all you have to do is take the AirTrain From T2 to T1 and go through security.

  • Delta to American connection

I'll be arriving on Delta and departing on American. I will have 1 hour 27 minutes layover. Is this sufficient time? It looks like I'll be arriving in terminal 5 and departing out of terminal 4--is there a tunnel that is now open connecting these two terminals? Thanks.

The 4 to 5 tunnel is still closed. If you have checked bags and purchased your tickets separately you don't have enough time. Without checked bags, you can make the connection, but you will have to exit T5, walk to T4 and go through security

We have checked bags but flights were purchased as one trip so bags should be checked all the way through to end destination. Thanks.

I just double checked and it turns out that the T4 to T5 tunnel has reopened! So you can take that.

Thank you so much for your help. . This is a stupid question but are the tunnels on the arrival (lower) level? Because departures are on the upper level, right?

The tunnels only connect through staircases to the gate areas. Both domestic arrivals and departures come through the same level of the concourse.
