  • connecting to southwest

I am connecting from 1 southwest flight to another southwest flight and have an hour. Will that be enought if i walk instead of taking the plane train. We land at 10:35 and depart at 11:35.

All Southwest flights not operated by Airtran are on the same concourse, C, so you wouldn't have to take the plane train anyway.

  • Transfer from American Domestic to LOT Polish International

Greetings - I'm flying in on American 1238 from Seattle on Friday, 6/28 (arriving 1530), and transferring to LOT 002 onward to Warsaw for 1730 departure. Do I have to go between terminals at ORD ? Thanks !

Yes, you will have to take the ATS train from Terminal 3 to Terminal 5 (one stop). You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Westjet is not in the airline list to show which terminal it operates from. When checking actual flight details, it lists the departure from gate D50 with no terminal info. On the ORD web page there is no Concourse D. Didn't expect to see this from one of the world's most important and busiest airports.

Westjet uses Terminal 3, Concourse L at ORD.

  • RCF TO NORTH SATELLITE

Is there any handicap assistance available from the RCF to the North Satellite? I am travelling with my Mother who needs assistance. I have arranged for help with United after the check in, but, she needs help. She can not walk far.

    What's an RCF?

the rental car facility(building) is shown as RFC on the map.

She will only have to get herself from the Rental Car Facility to the check-in counter, which is not in the North Satellite, but in the main terminal. You could perhaps call the rental car company and ask if they have any assistance that they can call out to them to help her get to the check-in counter.

  • Help 1 hr 6 min connection

I am flying from Tokyo, to Boston, to JFK arrival at 4:05 PM on Monday 8/5. I want to book a flight to Syracuse which my son is on from Jet Blue at 5:11PM. I am only bringing a carryon so no luggage. Is that enough time to make the connection? Your help is appreciated. Thank you

I forgot Im coming in American Airlines flight 1851-it doesnt show what gate/terminal yet

So you're flying on American from Boston to JFK? If you only have a carry on you could make that connection, barely, if your flight from Boston is on-time, without a checked bag. You will arrive in Terminal 8 and depart from Terminal 5. Check in online for your JetBlue flight on your phone when you're in Boston so you don't miss the check-in cutoff. If you did have a checked bag you wouldn't have enough time. Also, if you have any delays (which are quite common at JFK) you'll probably miss your connection and be stuck in New York. At least it appears that JetBlue also has a 10:45 PM flight that you might be able to get on if you miss your connection.

There may be a delta flight at 5:40 to syracuse will the extra 30 min ensure making the connections?

Nothing will "ensure" it, especially at JFK in the summer, but extra time never hurts. However, since that is Delta's only flight of the day from JFK to Syracuse, if you miss that connection you'll be spending the night in NYC (or maybe they'll send you on a taxi to LaGuardia, where they have a 10:25 PM LGA-SYR flight). Unlike JetBlue who has a later flight from JFK.

Also, that Delta JFK-SYR flight is almost always late, which in your case is a good thing.

  • KLM Int'l Arvl Fm AMS To IAD/Connect UA To MCO

Arv IAD on KL651 on Fri 2/14 @ 3:30p. Connect to UA 419 to Orlando leaving 5:10. Is that 1 hr 40 minutes too tight; particularly on a Friday afternoon. Thanks.

That will be pretty tough, especially if your tickets were bought on separate reservations and you need to re-check your baggage with United at the counter on the departures level.

Thanks for Reply. Since we arv on KLM Intl'l flight at 3:30p, on Friday afternoon 2/14, we'll switch to a United 5:53 flight to Orlando. Will 2+ hours be ok on a Friday evening AND if we carry our roll-ons on the KLM int'l flight, do we have to go back to the United Ticket area at IAD or can we go directly to the United-to-Orlando gate.

That should be enough time. When you exit immigration you will be on the non-secure side of the terminal. You will need a boarding pass for an onward flight to go back through security and get to your gate. So you will either have to check-in online with your phone (if you have one that works in the US) or go to the United check-in counter.

Also, I've found the 5:53 flight you're talking about. Note that it's operated by US Airways and involves a connection in Charlotte - so you'd have to check in with them, not United.

Yep- my boo boo. It is US Air, not UA. Again, thanks for your timely info.

  • Layover Q!

Arrive Terminal B from Sydney flying american airlines and have a layover time of 2h 25mins to make next flight in terminal 4 to continue on to rio de janeiro (via miami). Will we be pushed for time?

American does not fly Sydney-LAX. Your flight will be operated by QANTAS, which uses the TBIT. Terminal 4 is right next to the TBIT. You should have enough time.

  • Meeting husband at SW baggage claim

Hi all, We are flying to Philly this Friday to see family. My husband is flying in on Southwest, which I understand is Terminal E. I am on US Airways, which I found could be either Terminals A, B, or C (not an Express flight so not F). I have planned to meet him at Terminal E since he will be taking our "big suitcase" (no baggage fees on Southwest) and having my aunt pick us up by car there. Is this a walk I can make (from Terminal A, B, or C to E) or is there some sort of shuttle? i only see a shuttle going down to Terminal F and it doesn't seem to stop at E for you. Thank you,

Yes, you can walk to E.

Hi, I'll arrive in JFK from Italy at 13:30 fly AA199, connection with fly AA 85 to SFO at 15:30, I'm a little bit worried to lose my fly, are there some tips to avoid it ? Thanks

"Lose my fly"? What does that mean? You should have enough time to make your connection and AA will have later flights to SFO if you miss it.

Arriving UNITED AIRLINES 804 from NRT. Connecting UA 3726 for IND. Which terminal will I be arriving at, and which terminal will I be departing from? Is 1 hour 30 minutes enough to connect? Thanks

You will arrive in C or D and depart from C or D as well (likely D). You will have plenty of time.

    Thank you very much.

  • Time to clear customs

I am arriving at 3:15 from Cairo Egypt Air, so I assume T4. I have an AA connecting flight at 5:15 from, I assume, T8. Is this enough time to clear customs and get to T8?

It should be enough time. You take the AirTrain/Air Terminals Train between terminals.

  • Transit between terminals?
    Jun 25, 2013

Hi, I am travelling from Rome to New York next Monday. It's a Delta flight operated by Alitalia, and on my ticket reservation it says it will arrive at terminal 1 at JFK. On the same ticket, I have a connection to Montreal on another Delta flight, from terminal 2. The layover time is 2hr45min. can somebody confirm that terminal 1 and terminal 2 are indeed the terminals Delta uses for their flights from Rome, and to Montreal, respectively? How do I transit from terminal 1 to terminal 2? Thank you so much for your response!

Alitalia uses Terminal 1. The Delta Connection flight to Montreal will depart from Terminal 2. You use the AirTrain/Air Terminals Train to go between terminals.

Thank you so much ZAP. Your response is very useful Do I have to claim my luggage, and clear customs at JFK, before I board my next plane, to Canada? Both flights were bought on the same reservation.

Yes, you will have to do all that.

Can I re-check my luggage at the Delta Counter at Terminal 1, before i take the AirTran to Terminal 2? Where is it located?

If your bags are all checked through then you probably can use the re-check counter in Terminal 1. The Airtrain is located above the curbside of the terminals. There will be signs that direct you to it.

  • where do I go? Is it enough time?
    Jun 23, 2013

I arrive at Newark from Spain at 2:15PM in terminal B and I have a connecting flight in Terminal C at 4PM, both with United. I will have to go through customs and all that and switch terminals and go through security again, is that enough time? I also do not know where the airtrain is located, can anyone tell me what it is near or how to get there from the gates in Terminal B? Finally, if I do miss my flight, what will happen? I'm very worried I'm going to miss my flight!

It should be enough time. The Airtrain is fairly obvious and operates on the non-secure side. I you miss your connection you will be rebooked on a later flight to your destination, if there is one. If so you will be rebooked the next day.

  • Where is the Airtrain

Hello, I will be arriving at Terminal B and need to get to Terminal C without much time. Can you tell me what gate number the airtrain is near to or anything like that? From the gate that I arrive at, will I need to go up or down any escalators or anything to get on the airtrain? Thank you!

The Airtrain does not operate on the secure side, so it is not near "gates". However, United does operate a secure side shuttle from the base of the B3 satellite to near C71. http://www.united.com/web/en-US/content/travel/airport/maps/ewr.aspx

do you think it would be faster to take the shuttle than the airtrain?

If your arrival in Terminal B is domestic, the shuttle. If your arrival is international and you'll have to go through security again anyway, take the AirTrain.
