Will fly from Phoenix to Lima on United with connection at IAH. Will 60 minutes be enough time to make the connection?

Yes, if your first flight is on-time that will be enough time. You will likely arrive in Terminal C or E and depart from Terminal E, which are all connected.

  • 60 minutes enough time to transfer from Gate C to Gate E?

Arriving from other US city and transfer in Houston for flight to Europe. Traveling with lab infant. Time between flights is 60 minutes. Do I need to go through security before boarding international flight? Can I ask flight attendant to store stroller inside of the plane (domestic flight) to reduce wait time after arrival?

That should be enough time. No you won't have to go through security. It's unlikely you will be able to store the stroller onboard the plane. It will have to be gate checked.

So American have changed my flight and I should be arriving in DFW 1.40pm but my flight to Tyler is at 3.25pm, will I make it? and will I have to go through security again?

That should be enough time but you'll have to hurry. You'll go through immigration, then claim your bags, go through customs, then re-check them, then go back through security in Terminal D, then you will likely take the SkyLink Train to Terminal B as that appears to be where all the flights to Tyler depart from. If you miss your connection AA does have later flights from DFW to TYR that you can be rebooked on.

Hey Helpful People I'm flying into IAD tomorrow from the UK with Virgin Atlantic. I then have 2 hours to a US Airways flight to MDT. Will this be enough time? WIll I need to collect my luggage and then go back out to departures and check it again? I've done this trip a few times before, but always as a 'route' and so I've just dumped my bag on the big conveyor belt and then go straight to the gate. Cheers for your help

US Airways does not fly from IAD to MDT, so you will actually be on United Express. Yes, you will claim your bag, then if your bag is checked through to MDT on its tag, you can just drop it again immediately after you exit customs.

Thanks ZAP, if it's not checked through to MDT will I have enough time to go up to departures and back in?

Yes, you'll have to go upstairs to the United counter and check it there (and you'll have to pay a checked bag fee).

  • Changing planes

My mother is flying southwest, and she has to change planes in this Airport (HOU) only has 1 hour to make it to the next gate, (same carrier) is this an easy airport to find the gates, my concern is that she doesn't speak English and I don't want her to be in trouble. Is it possible that someone forn the airline can escolt her to the gate? Thanks

Yes, it is a fairly easy airport. All the gates at HOU are on the same level of the same terminal. All she will have to do is look at the monitors when she gets off her first flight, locate the gate number for her second flight, and walk to it. http://www.ifly.com/william-p-hobby-airport/HOU-Central-Concourse

  • Domestic to International - Re-check Bags?

Thank you all for your help, wonderful site. On 8/30, arrive from ATL on DL2032 at 7:25. Connecting to BA292 to LHR at 10:30. I believe both airlines use Terminal A, however I booked each flight separately - do I have to exit terminal, claim baggage and re-check it on BA before coming back through security? I assume this would be the case and so gave myself 3 hours connection time to be safe. Thanks again!

Yes, you will have to claim your bags from Delta and take them to BA and go back through security. You should have enough time.

IAD has one main passenger terminal with Z gates and Midfield Concourses A through D. Both Delta & British use Concourse B; however as you have separate tickets and your airlines do not belong to the same Airline Alliance, you need, on arrival, head for the main terminal's baggage claim by means of a moving walkway. After re-checking in your bag at the British Airways counter, go through security check and take either the moving walkway or the AeroTrain back to 'Midfield Concourse A/B' (B gates: B35-B79). You have plenty of time.

    Thankyou thaug13, I appreciate it!

    Much appreciated ZP, thanks!

hello! I'm flying from Moscow to Rome via Amsterdam by KLM. Connection in Amsterdam 55 minutes. Where usually arrives e departs KLM? If this is one company do I need to get my baggage? Thanks

At AMS, arrivals from a non-Schengen (foreign) country go through passport control, follow signs to 'Baggage Hall' located on the ground level, retrieve bags, & go through customs for security check. If you have nothing to declare, proceed to the Arrivals Hall through the green passage way (this area also has the main exit & train station). Your bags will automatically be transferred to your Rome departure. When transferring to a Schengen (Italy) flight, passengers need to go through ticket control & security check. Your boarding pass and the overhead screens on arrival will tell you at which gate KLM will depart from to Rome. There is only one terminal with Concourses & gates B-C, D, E, F, G-H & M. Walking time fromB to M would take 15 minutes. You should be able to make it on time.

Will fly from Brazil to Newak in connection with IAH. This is the first time I make connection in Houston. I will be arriving at terminal E and leaving the terminal C. I wonder what my procedure. Thank you.

You will go through US immigration after you get off the plane, then claim your bags, then go through customs, then re-check your bags with United, then you go upstairs and back through security and follow the signs to C (which is connected to E).

  • Terminal changes and assistance

    1) From YQT, on United- where do we clear customs? 2) With terminal changes, do you offer any services for those with disabilities? How do I find out about this?

Flights from YQT clear US immigration in Terminal 5. If you have a connection on United or United Express, that will be in Terminal 1 or 2. If you are disabled and need wheelchair assistance, call United to request it.

I will land in Frankfurt airport terminal 1 from Denver and have connecting lufthansa flight in 1.45mns..will that be enough time to catch the connecting flight again in same terminal.how should i reach the terminal 1 as im getting down in the same terminal and having another flight in same terminal ?? pls let me know in detail as i have lap kid for this travel.

U.S. Arrivals at FRA are being processed at Area A where they go through passport control. Lufthansa uses both A & B Concourses (A & B gates). If you need to transfer inside Terminal 1between B gates (T1B) and A or Z gates (T1A), you can use transfer tunnel outside security, or the SkyLine train inside security, which leaves every 2-3 mins. You have enough time.

I JUST ASKED A QUESTION ABOUT ARRIVING FROM TUCSON AZ GETTING A CONNECTING FLIGHT TO CLEVELAND. WANTING TO KNOW IF I WILL HAVE ENOUGH TIME? FORGOT TO MENTION I AM FLYING UNITED.

Yes, you should have enough time but you'll have to hope your first flight is on-time and hurry. Your flight from Tucson will arrive in Terminal B and your flight to Cleveland will depart from Terminal B or C. If you have to transfer to Terminal C, the TerminaLink train runs between them inside security.

  • Flying from Frankfurt to Montreal

Hi, my daughter and I will be flying to Montreal via Philadelphia from Frankfurt/Germany (flights 701 and 3984) on August 22. We will have a layover of one hour and 44 minutes. We will arrive in Philadelphia at gate A and depart for Montreal at gate F. What will be the customs and security procedures for us and will we be able to make it? I read some stories online about Philadelphia airport and am a bit worried. Thanks for your help.

You will clear immigration in Terminal A, claim your baggage, clear customs, and re-check your bags with US Airways. You'll then go back upstairs to go through security and then take the US Airways shuttle bus to Terminal F. You will have to hope your flight is on-time and hurry. However, if you do miss your connection, US Airways has two later flights to Montreal.

Lunch specials were great and reasonably priced for airport food (bacon wrapped meatloaf and roasted chicken - both with mashed potatoes) for about $14. Hot, quick, tastey, courteous table service - what's not to love?! Beats pre-packed sandwich slop any day.
