  • distance from terminal 8 to terminal 6
    Jul 2, 2013

Hello. We are arriving at terminal 8 tomorrow morning and have a little less than hour to get to our flight leaving from Terminal 6. My wife has a foot problem and can walk a short distance but not a long one. Is this going to be a problem? Thanks

It's about a quarter mile walk. I don't know what you define as a "short" or "long" distance, but it's not a marathon but it is also not just across the hall. If you're really worried you can request wheelchair service from United.

    Thanks. That's a doable walk.

  • Where is gate EM for Delta?
    Jul 8, 2013

Gate EM does not appear on any DTW terminal map. It's for Delta flights.

So EM is McNamara Terminal. Delta lists my departure gate as EM. Not very helpful when planning quick turns.

Delta will post your exact departure gate the day of departure.

Am coming in on Delta have to change flights. I know that the plane comes in at zon3. Help

arriving at gate b 15 and departing b 47 with 50 minutes...how fast should I tell my husband to move?

It should take less than 10 minutes to get between those gates.

Good bar area with TV's while waiting for flights. Menu has healthier choices than fast food places in the terminal.

  • 56 min connection time

Will 56 mins be enough time to change from domestic Delta flight arriving 20:39 to an international Air France flight?

Yes, it should be if your first flight is on-time. All Delta/Air France gates can be reached within 15 minutes of one another.

Will 40 mins be enough time to change from domestic AA flight arriving 21:05 to an international AA flight?

if your first flight is on-time, yes, you can walk between all AA gates at ORD in under 20 minutes.

I was very disappointed to see that the science and technology magazines were listed under "Men's Interests". I find this classification rather sexist and archaic well into the 2nd decade of the 21st century. I notice that Stats Canada recently released results of the 2011 census indicating that more than half the degree holders in Canada are women. I did not make my purchase at this shop and took my money to one that didn't have any classifications.

  • 2 hours transfer time for international arrival, is it possible?
    Jul 5, 2013

I will arrive in T5 at 4:25pm and departure at 6:23pm in T1. The transfer time is 2 hours. Will I be in time for my connection with all the immigration and re- checking in of the luggage??? Both the flights are with United.

It will be tight. That's a peak time for arrivals in T5. No way to say for sure, but it's not impossible.

    Thanks a lots. Any advice?

Not much you can do other than try to sit at the front of your arriving flight and the security line on the extreme left of Terminal 1 is usually the fastest.

  • Enough time?

I'm arriving to IAD from Boston at 424 PM tomorrow in terminal C and catching a connecting international flight to Munich which departs at 520 PM. This gives me 56 minutes from arrival to take off, and a change in concourses (C to D). Is this enough time? Do I have to do security again? I just spoke to an agent and they told me "no problem, plenty of time". Do I have enough??

C and D are in fact just two sides of the same concourse. There is no security when making any connection from a domestic flight at IAD as all gates are connected beyond security.

Hi, I'm arriving in ATL and continuing on to CRW. My connection time is 1:08. I think my flight arriving in ATL will be in concourse A, my connection in concourse D. Will I have enough time to make my connection, with Plane Train beig downstairs, etc. I haven't been thru ATL in about 6 months, so I'm a little rusty. Please advise.

Yes, you can use the plane train to get between any two gates in under a half hour.

where is the xl.airlines counter? What is their weight limit? When do they open for a 9pm flight? is there a place in the airport to stash my bags. where is the Yoga Room? Thanks

The XL Airways France counter is in the International Terminal. I would estimate that the counter would open between 6 and 7 PM. Most US Airports do not have baggage storage for security reasons. The Yoga Room is in Terminal 2 past security, so you won't be able to access it.

  • Transfer between Terminal A and B
    Jul 1, 2013

Hi! I have arriving on a UA flight from Buffalo landing in Terminal A and connecting to a code share SAS flight to Oslo in Terminal B. We have a connection time (pending no "circling" delays of 1 hour and 25 minutes. What is the easiest and quickest way of getting to terminal B from A? Is it to leave the "secure zone" and take the air train or is there a shuttle bus that is faster? For information, this is all one ticket so our luggage will be checked through to Oslo from Buffalo.

United runs a shuttle on the secure side between A and B - that is probably the fastest route. http://www.united.com/web/en-us/content/travel/airport/maps/ewr.aspx?SID=798D7DF2A4654EC9A1A48DA22763CC7C

  • Connection between Terminals A and B

Hi! I will be traveling from Buffulo to Newark on UA coming into Terminal A and then onwards to Oslo on a code share SAS flight that leaves from Terminal B. What is the easiest way to get to our gate? Is it to leave the "secure" zone and take the air train or is there a shuttle bus that is easier?

On arrival at EWR, take the AirTrain serving pre-security areas on Gate Level of all terminals - however, you need to go through security check b efore proceeding to your gate. The Gate Level leads to three gate areas: 1. Gate Area B1 (gates B40-47); 2. Gate Area B2 (gates B51-57 used by British Airways); and 3. Gate Area B3 (gates B60 to B68).
