arriving from Montreal via American Airlines, terminal 8, leaving from terminal 4 via Emirate Airlines 90 min later, how do I connect

ZAP were your tickets bought on the same reservation? If not you need to book an earlier flight on American - you will not have enough time for your connection. You get between the two terminals via the JFK AirTrain/Air Terminals train which runs outside security. 90 minutes is not enough time to claim bags from American, take the AirTrain, check in with Emirates, and go through security, especially considering that JFK is very delay-prone.

Cuanto tiempo se necesita para ir del Terminal B al Terminal E tengo solo 1 hora para mi proximo vuelo

1 hora no es tiempo suficiente para que la transferencia. Tienes que reservar vuelos diferentes.

    What to do at Airport

Simply follow the signs from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I have a 38 minute layover and plane change on United in Houston from Indianapolis on my way to San Jose Del Cabo the end of March. Is this enough time to switch terminals and have my bags transferred?

It doesn't leave much time for delays but if your flight is on-time it is enough time. If you arrive in terminal B you need to take the TerminaLink train to Terminal E for your departure. If your flight from Indy arrives in C you can walk to E. All gates are connected beyond security.

  • Location of Delta arrivals/departures for domesticate flights?

Hi. I'm flying from Kansas City to Miami, with a two hour layover at ATL. What terminal(s) in ATL will I be using for both arrival and departure? Is two hours enough time to get from the one to the other? If they are in different terminals, what is the quickest way to go? Thanks!

Delta operates flights from numerous concourses all of which are connected via the plane train inside security. 2 hours is more than enough time to make any domestic transfer on Delta in Atlanta.

  • 50 mn for connecting flight !

I'll fly with United airlines from SFO to ORD on the 7th of March and then with Brussels Airlines to Brussels. I'll have only 50 mn in ORD to change plane. Do I have to change terminal. Is 50mn enough? Thanks for your help!

Brussels Airlines does not fly to ORD. If you are flying to Brussels from Chicago, that flight will also be operated by United. If so, you will not have to change terminals. Both flights will be in Terminal 1 and both gates will be connected beyond security.

I am flying Dec 20 from Vancouver through ORD on a United Flight and out of ORD to London heathrow on United as well. Can you tell me if I will need to change terminals? Is an hour enough time to make my connecting flight during this holiday time?

No, you will not have to change terminals. Everything will be in Terminal 1 and all gates will be connected beyond security. If your first flight is on-time you will have plenty of time. You will pre-clear US Immigration in Vancouver.

    1. Go through U.S. customs at Vancouver; you will be considered a 'domestic arrival' at ORD. United uses Terminal 1 at ORD for all domestic and for international departures flights, and Terminal 2 for domestic flights. If you need to transfer between the two terminals, use walkways at post-security areas of the Departures level - follow signs.

He will not need to use Terminal 2- all YVR flights are mainline and all mainline flights use Terminal 1. Also, I don't know why you keep treating it like it's a choice to go through US Immigration in Vancouver, all US bound passengers on flights with Pre-clearance HAVE to go through preclearance.

I have a flight from BOLOGNA - ITALY that arrives at Frankfurt airport and exactly 60 minutes later I do have my flight to COLOMBIA it's possible to do all the immigration process, passport check, controls ecc in such a few time?? There is a way to know better which are the terminals or somehing to lose less time? I'm so worried. Thank you

There will be no immigration in Frankfurt since both Italy and Germany are located within Schengen. You will just have to go through security at your departure gate.

yes I know that, but I need to fly to Colombia and they have to mark my passport it happens all the time because my final destination it's a NON SCHENGEN. Is just that im afraid beacuse it's my first time on this airport I usually go to Colombia through Spain.

60 minutes it's too few and I dont know this airport. I have been reading and it's supoused that I will arrive at the terminal number 1 Gate A and then the flight to Colombia leaves from Gate C. It's two far? do i have to take a train or bus to get into this gate ?? or just walking how long will take?? Thanks

You mean you just need to get your passport stamped with an exit visa? The gates will be pretty close together. Your plane may arrive away from the terminal so you may have to take a bus from your plane to the terminal but you won't have to take a train or bus once you're actually in the terminal.

Yes I need to get my passport stamped with the exit... So I just need to take a bus from the plane to the terminal and when I arrive I just have to walk until I find the gate C and make the inmigration controls.. the point is that I think that maybe 60 minutes are not enough :(

Well, be sure to find out your ACTUAL departure gate upon arrival - C is just a concourse. Lots of people make 60 minute connections at FRA.

Hi, i am travelling from London to Dallas in British Airways from there i need to take my connecting flight to Minneapolis by American Eagle . Can i get any paid assistance at the airport to guide me to my domestic flight , also do i need to recheckin my baggage or it will be automaticlly transferred to American Eagle .

It's pretty simple, you shouldn't need anyone to assist you (nor is there such a service available). All you do is go through US Immigration, claim your baggage, go through US customs, drop your bags back off at the re-check desk, then go upstairs and through security then take the Skylink train to the gate for your departing flight to MSP.

Thanks , can i get any temporary phone to talk to my friends and get guided...

You aren't supposed to use phones when you're in Immigration. It's really a very simple process and there will only be one way to go when going through immigration and customs so you can't get lost.

  • Arriving Delta, Leaving Lan Ecuador

With construction going on, what terminal will Lan Ecuador flights to Ecuador be leaving from? (on Dec. 5, 2013) I have 2 1/2 hours between arrival/departure, must pick up bags and get to Lan Ecuador in that time. Enough time? Suggestions?

LAN Ecuador flights leave from Concourse J of the South Terminal. What airline are you flying in to MIA?

I'm arriving from Kansas City on Delta.

Regarding travel from Miami to Ecuador: Will I have to do anything else when I arrive at MIA, other than get my checked luggage from Delta... and then check in at the LanEcuador desk?

Well, other than having to go through security again after you check in with Lan Ecuador, no, you won't have to do anything in MIA. Also, no airlines fly nonstop from Kansas City to Miami - I'm assuming that if you're flying Delta that you also have a connection in Atlanta, is that correct?

Yes. I connect in Atlanta. I've assumed that all of the Delta gates (arrival and departure) are in the same terminal there, but I guess I'd better find out for sure. I have a couple of hours there, so lack of time shouldn't be a problem. Any suggestions?

Yes, all Delta gates at MIA are in the South Terminal concourse H, close to where you will check in with LAN Ecuador.

    Thanks. You've been extremely helpful!

I am arriving at LAS on 11/21 @ 11:25 am, Flight # 1810 and will depart Southwest at 12:00 pm on 11/21, Flight # 499. I would like to know what gate I will arrive at and what gate to I depart from and do I have enough time to get there?

You won't know the exact gate until the day of your flight but all Southwest flights use concourses B and C and all are connected beyond security.

I am arriving at Terminal A from Wichita and departing from Terminal D for London with a 45 min. layover. What is the best way to get to Terminal D. This is my first overseas trip, what is the procedure to get on the plane bound for London? Do we have to do anything extra that you don't normally do on a domestic flight? I'm assuming our luggage is transfered for us since both flights are American, is that true?

Yes, your bags will be checked through to London in Wichita. On your way to London the transfer is just like a domestic flight, you will take the SkyLink Train between terminals, which runs inside security. On your way home from London is when it is different, In Dallas, you will go through US Immigration, claim your baggage, go though US Customs, re-check your baggage at the re-check desk, then go through security and then take the Skylink Train to your departure gate to Wichita.

Do I have enough time if my Spirit flight lands at 8:42 pm to connect to JetBlue flight that departs at 10:10 pm? I just have my purse

Without bags, yes, you should be fine if your Spirit flight is on-time, but Spirit isn't exactly known for being on-time, especially late in the evening.

Yes you have enough time. Spirit arrives at Terminal 4, while JetBlue departs at Terminal 3 - use the shuttle bus outside the lower level of the terminals. At T3 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate.

You can probably walk from T4 to T3 faster than taking the shuttle bus.
