  • Connection time from EWR on united expressjet to Qatar Airways
    Jul 15, 2013
Hi, I will be using united express jet from ewr to IAD and then towards Doha on qatar airways. I am looking at 2 hrs, arriving into IAD at 4.00pm and departing IAD at 18.358 on friday. Is this do-able. The fact that its a friday is making me worried. I will be required to goto Qatar airways counter to get my boarding card issued

It will depend on your first flight being on time. Which on the east coast is far from a sure thing. The Qatar airways counter can also be a bit of a mess at IAD. However, check the time on your Qatar Airways flight, I show it leaving at 10:55 PM, not 6:35 as you posted.

  • t8 air berlin customs to t5 JetBlue with 2.5 hrs
    Jul 15, 2013
Is 2.5 hrs enough time for US citizens to ckear customd/etc. and make it to JetBlue in t5?

    Don't everybody answer at once!

It should be enough time. No need to get impatient.

Sorry - I'm taking my 12 yr old daughter by myself in 2 getting nervous... Actually my WIFE is getting nervous... which is going to drive me to drink... or international travel... Thank you!

My family is arriving in Terminal 4 at 15.30 they have the next flight to connect to US airways at 18hrs in Terminal 7. is the time enough to clear US immigration and customs and reach terminal 7 on time? is there a check in counter for US airways after they clear customs in terminal 4 if not what's the options? what is the easiest way to travel to terminal 7? will greatly appreciate for your advise... cheers

US Airways does not have anything in T4. Were both of your tickets bought on the same reservation? What airline are you flying in to T4? To get from T4 to T7 you have to take the Air Terminals Train/AirTrain. You should have enough time.

Thank you arriving by Egypt Air and then to connect to US Airways in Terminal 7. Tickets are purchased seperately.

  • Connection T4 to T2 Sept.23
    Jul 14, 2013
We'll arrive at T4 on Delta from Barcelona at 1430 with a scheduled departure at 1625 on a Delta Connection flight from T2. 1) Is this doable? 2)What would be the preferred route to T2, Back through security in T4 and the shuttle to T2, walk to T2 and go through security there or the tram to T2 and then through security? Thanks been a while since I flew through JFK.

Yes, it should be doable. Either route works, but I'm thinking taking the Airtrain to T2 and then going through security there would be faster. Don't think you can walk to T2.

  • How much time do I need to make my connecting international flight?
    Jul 14, 2013
Scheduled departure time from Bangor, Maine is 3:33 p.m. on US Airways Express-Air Wisconsin arriving at 5:15 p.m. with 6:45 pm departure US Airways International flight to Glasgow, Scotland. What is the absolute minimum time needed to get from domestic gate to international gate?

You leave Bangor to which connecting Airport for your overseas flight - Boston Logon, or JFK /LGA / EWR at New York ??

  • I need your help.
    Jul 17, 2013
I will soon be traveling via US AIRWAYS from Dayton, Ohio to New York with a connecting flight at PHL. My question is do I have to change terminals and if so how long would it take and how?

Both of your flights will probably be in Terminal F.

call the airline and ask what size planes you'll be on. Small planes will go in and out of Terminal 7

    PHL doesn't have a "Terminal 7"

  • 45 Minute connecting flight
    Jul 13, 2013
First time flyer... I'm flying United from Harrisburg at 7:52AM on a Sunday and will be arriving in Chicago at 8:45AM ..... The connecting flight is also United and is scheduled to depart at 9:30AM, will I have enough time?

Not sure if this matters but both flights are UA but my connecting flight says "Operated by Skywest Airlines dba United Express" And I'm flying from Chicago to Des Moines.

Yes, that should be enough time. Your first flight will arrive in Terminal 1 concourse B or C. Your second flight will likely depart from Terminal 2 concourse E or F. You do not have to go through security when going between those two terminals if you follow the signs.

  • FROM T4 TO T2
    Jul 13, 2013
my son will arrive termınal 4 on 15 of july and need to go to t2. what is the best way to go to T2.ı dont want hım to carry bags what can he do about it.

If he is coming in international he can re-check the bags with Delta when he clears customs. Then he can take the Airtrain/Air Terminals Train to T2 and go back through security. If he is domestic, he should take the Delta shuttle bus, which runs on the secure side.

  • Gate B2 to gate E16 time
    Jul 12, 2013
Hi, I'm arriving in Atlanta with a layover time of 1:15. I need to connect from gate B2 to gate E16 in this time. How long should this take and what is the fastest way? Thanks.

Take the Plane Train - should take 15-20 minutes.

  • How long will it take?
    Jul 12, 2013
How long will it take to get from the end of concourse b to the end oc concourse e? Are there any shuttles?

Probably about 15 minutes, maybe half an hour if you're a really slow walker and go to the bathroom.

Thank you. What about on her return from toronto to madrid. Ticket is also with AA but the operating carriers are american eagle arriving at terminal 8 at jfk and then iberia from jfk to mad from terminal 7. Will she clearing customs in toronto? Does she have to claim the luggage again upon arrival at jfk, clear customs again, and then transfer to term. 7 and go thorugh security? Or would the luggage be checked in all the way from toronto to madrid? She will have about 110 mins. For the transfer.... Thank yOU

Yes, she will preclear US immigration in Toronto, so in JFK she will just have to take the Airtrain from T8 to T7 then go through security.

  • Terminal E to Terminal C
    Jul 12, 2013
Hi, I am arriving at Terminal E on a BA flight BA195 on 25th July and need to link up with family arriving at Terminal C UA 257 from San Diego, Can I walk from E to C?, Than ks

On the secure side you can easily, but you will be funneled through immigration and out to the non-secure area in Terminal E. You can probably go through the corridor the Inter-Terminal Train uses to go back to Terminal C (or maybe even take the Inter-Terminal Train itself)

Also, British Airways arrivals are in Terminal D, not Terminal E, but the instructions on how to get to C are the same.

  • TLV via FRA to DUB
    Jul 14, 2013
Arriving from Tel-Aviv via FRA to Dublin. 1 h 40 min layover. Will this be enough for smooth connection? Thanks!

You have enough time. ElAl uses Concourse C of T1. (T1 with Concourses A,B & C also serves airlines belonging to the Star Alliance, while T2 with Concourses D & E serves non-Star members). The SkyLine train near B-8 connects to E & D gates of Terminal 2.

Thanks! But I forgot to mention that both flights are those of Lufthanza

  • Worried about my connection time!
    Jul 12, 2013
So I booked a flight going from Richmond, VA - layover in Chicago - then to Grand Rapids, MI at the end of August. Both of my flights are American Airlines and so I know they will both be in Terminal 3. My layover time is 30 minutes. I'm scheduled to land in ORD at 7:10, and my next flight is scheduled to take off at 7:40. Will that be enough time??? I know since it's in the same terminal it wont be completely on the other side of the airport, but I'm afraid of having to go through security again, or needing to go up or down stairs.. or anything that would take up time instead of being able to just get out the first gate and run right over to the next one. I've never flown by myself before, and it's been over 10 years since I've flown at all, so I'm nervous, and I just want to know if I should be able to make my next flight okay. Thank you!! :)

You won't have to go through security again and both of your flights will probably be in the G concourse.

So it should be a relatively easy layover then? I've been looking at the same flight numbers this week and they've all been running perfectly on time, in fact the first flight landing in ORD has been early almost every time too. I'm just nervous so I'm asking for outside opinions. :/ lol

Yes, it should be pretty easy. I'm guessing your arrival is at 7:10 AM, not PM if the on-time stats have been so good? If so even if you miss you'll have plenty of opportunities to be re-booked on a later flight to GRR if you miss your connection and yes, early morning flights tend to run on-time more often.

Yes, I apologize for not specifying in the beginning, it's all in the AM because I'm meeting my boyfriend and his family up there for a vacation and want to get there as early as possible and spend the whole day there instead of flying in later on. Thank you for your help!
