  • Can I make this flight??
    Feb 3, 2013

I will arrive at FCO at 12:45 from London. Will I have enough time to take a flight at 3pm to Athens and which terminals will I be at? Thanks

I suggest you open www.ifly.com/fco, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text. Your ticket, boarding pass and on arrival the overhead screens should indicate which of Terminals 1, 2 or 3 you arrive at/ depart from. (When connecting from gate to gate, follow signs to "Boarding Area" (gates B through H). All boarding areas are inter-connected, except Terminal 5's boarding area G, which needs a shuttle. You have enough time.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure before I booked it. I wont get my boarding pass until later. I forgot to post that I'm leaving in June.

  • Jet blue to Singapore airline

I have only 1 hour to make a connect flight with Singapore airline. I travel from Boston to NY JFK by Jet Blue. Do I have time to make this connection?

First you need to make sure that JetBlue will transfer your bags to Singapore Airline - if not, you need to claim your bag on arrival and check it in at the Singapore check-in counter before proceeding to your connecting flight. JetBlue uses Terminals 4 & 5, Singapore T4. If you need to transfer from T5 to T4 take the 'Airline Terminals Train' (marked on JFK's maps in yellow) serving the unsecured areas of the terminals - needing one stop only, but having to go through security check before proceeding to connecting gates.

We are arriving from Calgary on United Airlines with 40 mins to connect to another United Airlines flight. Do we have time and what is the quickest way to get to our connection

As you will go through US customs clearance at Calgary, and you use the same airline for both legs of your journey, your transfer time should suffice. However, note that United uses at IAH Terminals A, B, C & E. The above-ground TerminaLink train, which starts its service at the Terminal A station, connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security. I strongly suggest you open www.ifly.com/ then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

Delta is now in Terminal A next to KLM. As of Jan 16 when we flew EZE - ATL, there are no signs on the road to the terminals telling riders and drivers where the airlines are located. Taxi drivers are clueless. Best bet: call your airline and confirm which terminal they use for checkin.

When arriving at ATL from an international flight, regardless of airline, you land at either Concourse E or Concourse F (for Delta it would be E), where you go through emigration /customs clearance procedure. Delta uses Concourses T, A, B & C of the Domestic terminal. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/ then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to very the detailed text.

We are arriving FCO on two seperate airlines. Both arrive within ten minutes of each other. We will be headed to Testacio, Rome - not sure if by train or bus. Any recommendations what is the least expensive? Also where to meet once we arrive at FCO?

Both airlines Delta & United use Terminal 5 at FCO. You may want to meet in front of the information counter in the Arrivals area, where you also can get some transportation information. For more information open www.ifly.com/fco & scroll down to "To get from the Airport to your destination"; also click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • 30 minute layover
    Jan 30, 2013

I am flying US Airways with only a 30 minute layover between flights. My flight arrives at 12:29 am from Phoenix (flt 496) and then departs 12:59 am to Charlotte (flt 498). If I miss my connecting flight, another flight to Charlotte is not available until 10 am that morning! Do I have enough time? Any idea on what gates will be used? thank you.

At DEN, US Airways uses Concourse B of the Jeppesen Terminal. Concourse B has gates west B15 to B37; gates east B38 to B60, branching into north gates B59 to B79, and south gates B80 to B95.

US Airways does not have a very big operation in Denver, so your connection will be very short distance. However, based on the times of your flight, I suspect that the same aircraft will operate your PHX-DEN and DEN-CLT flights, so if that's the case you can't miss your connection!

Actually I just checked and they will not be operated by the same aircraft, but regardless, US Airways doesn't have many gates at DEN so it will be a very short walk between gates.

  • connecting flights, do I need to hurry?

I have a connection from Hamburg to Amsterdam landing on 11.10 and will travel to Washington DC on 12.45. both flights operated by KLM. Do I have enough time or do I need to hurry?

You should have enough time for transfer at AMS. However, I strongly suggest you open www.ifly.com/ams, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

The info is sadly lacking. No tab is called quick links and there is no detailed text.

  • JFK Terminal 8

My husband and I each fly into JFK airport at terminal 8. My flight is domestic and his is international, both are American Airlines. Will we be in the same building or in different buildings? Terminal 8 has two separate buildings. Thank you.

Terminal 8 at JFK is one building, with an Arrivals level housing customs clearance, which your husband has to pass through. I suggest you meet him a the ground transportation information counter near the baggage claim.

I'm traveling alone and I'm flying us airways express Ft 4142 into Phil then out on US Airway Fl 1939 to Fort Myers Fl . Can you tell me what terminal I will be arriving and what terminal I will be Departing? I only have 35 min !

At PHL, US Airways & US Airways Express use Terminal A-East for domestic flights. You will arrive At Concourse A-East, which has gates A1-13. There, you simply walk to your next connecting gate (look at overhead screens & your boarding pass for gate number).

Actually, that is completely incorrect. Your flight from Ithaca will arrive in Terminal F and your flight to Ft. Myers will probably depart from Terminal B. You need to take the post-security US Airways shuttle bus from gate F-14 to Terminal B/C. If by chance your Ft. Myers flight departs from Terminal A, take the shuttle to there instead. 35 minutes is pretty tight so hope your first flight is on time.

I am going from Los Angeles thru O'hare to Charleston W.V on March 4th.What terminal do I land at(fl 263) and where do I pick up the connecting flight(6093) to W.V. seeing that I will have very little time?

At ORD, you will arrive / depart from either of the domestic terminals T1 (with B & C gates),T2 (with E & F gates) or T3 with G, H, K & L gates. Your ticket and the overhead screens on arrival will indicate flight and gate number. The ATS shuttle train runs every few minutes between the terminals, but in the unsecured area (at connecting terminal you would need to go through security before proceeding to your gate.

Since United Express is the only airline that flies to Charleston WV from Chicago, you are flying them. Your flight from LAX will arrive in Terminal 1 and your flight to Charleston will depart from terminal 1 or 2 (probably 2). Worst case scenario is about a 15 minute walk between your gates if you move briskly. You will not have to go through security again.

what is fastest way to go from C31 to E7 in Houston IHA

If arriving at IAH at gates C29-45 and transferring to Terminal E: walk towards gates C14-24 and proceeds straight on to TE. TE has on opposie sides gates E1-11 and E12-24.

Group of college students coming in from Heathrow on United connecting to domestic United flight out of Terminal 1. They have just over 90 minutes. Will that be enough time to go through customs, recheck their bags, and get to their Gate in Terminal 1? Terminal 5 Gate M16A > Terminal 1 Gate C24

If their first flight is on time and they hurry, it's barely enough time. Customs can take anywhere between 10-30 mins. The transfer can take about 20 minutes between terminals, so that leaves 40-50 mins to go through security and get to their gate. Usually that's doable, but again, a little tight.

On arrival at ORD and passing through passport check, picking up bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in bags where indicated, (that can take anywhere from 30-50 mins!) you need to proceed oe level up the ATS train connecting to the domestic terminals 1, 2 & 3 (running every few mins). At T1, pass security check & then head for Concourse C (gates C1-32). Your time is sufficient.

  • Delta to FCO, Meridiana to Olbia

I arrive to FCO on Delta at 7:30 a.m. and must connect to Meridiana Flight to Olbia at 10:30a.m. Can you give me directions to make the connection? Thank you.

At FCO Delta arrives at Terminal 5 where you need to go through passport check and may need to pick up your bags if Delta does not transfer bags to Meridian, which uses Terminal 2. You have two options to get to T2: (a) take the free shuttle bus outside running between terminals and carparks every 15 mins., or (b) take the special shuttle to T3 and walk over to T2 (the control tower is between them. You have plenty of time.

  • T5 to Bradley- Security
    Jan 27, 2013

Hi, I've read through a lot of these comments and haven't really seen the answer I'm looking for, so sorry if this is redundant. I will be arriving at LAX at 9:30 in Terminal 5 and have a connection on Korean Air in Bradley. We are not checking any bags. Will I be able to simply walk from T5 to Bradley without going through security? If we have to go through security, does anyone know how long will it take approximately (9:30am on a Monday)? Any help is much appreciated!

T-5 is not connected to Bradley Int'l. You will need to go thru security again in the Bradley terminal. patstravelreviews.com

At LAX, you have two options to get from T5 to TBIT: (a) exit the terminal, then turn left, past T4, walk around the bend and enter TBIT (Bradley) - a 10-12 min. walk, (b) take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins; your next stops are T6, T7, T8, around the bend to T1, T2, T3 and on to TBIT - 7 stops or 18 mins. In both instances, you need to go through passport check before proceeding to your gate: Past TSA Screening at left are gates 106 - 101; past TSA Screening at right are gates 119 to 123, with access to bus gates 136 to 146.
