hi I am leaving from Washington dc at 7.43 and arrive at 8:59 pm with jet blue airways which I will be coming out from terminal 5 and I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old I will be having 3 check in luggage, I have to wait and re check in with my luggage at terminal 4 with Caribbean airlines. the lay over time is 3 hours, will have I enough time? and which will be easier with the kids the AirTran or taxi? I don't know how to go about the AirTran and which will be faster?i just don't want to miss my flight with Caribbean airline, will I be able to get assistance?

You can't take a taxi between Terminals. You have to take the AirTrain. You should have plenty of time to make your connection. There are many signs directing you to the AirTrain.

what is the latest time of checking in with Caribbean airline at terminal 4? and how long does it take with the airtran?

You will probably have to check your bags an hour before your flight. Claiming your bags and getting to T4 will probably only take a half hour or so.

  • D gate arrival c gate connection

Can I get from terminal 1 d gates to terminal 1 c gates without passing thru security? Arriving on Delta connecting to Southwest.

At LAS, when getting off at Satellite D, take the D gate tram to Concourse C, arriving at baggage claim level, then switch over to adjacent C gate tram to your connecting C gate.

    Thank You

Yes, you can get between C & D by asking TSA to allow access BEFORE exiting secure area. The American Express Lounge (Called the Centurion Lounge) is in the D area, so I go from C to D (and back) frequently. If all else fails, tell TSA that you want to go to or from that lounge.

When switching to from the D tram to the C tram do I need to exit the security zone and re-enter ?

Arriving Sea at 9:15, Departing Hawaiian at 10, Concourse C to South Satellite. Can I make the flight?

Will you have bags? Will they be checked through? You can make it if you have all your boarding passes ahead of time and your first flight is on-time and you hurry. But realize that if there's any delay you're going to be stuck in Seattle overnight.

Please Help Me. I arrive on UNIITED from IAD and depart on Asiana Flight for Seoul, Korea, can you give me directions upon reaching the airport. This is my first to be at this aiport. I have 1:42 to change plane, will that be enough and do I have go through security check? THANK YOU SO MUCH for your help.

You will not have to go through security, all gates at SEA are connected beyond security. Your United flight will arrive in concourse A and you can take the train from there to the S Satellite. You should have enough time.

do I have to redo security at JFK if i fly from FLL on Jet BLue then transfer to Icelandic Air

Yes, as JetBlue flights from FLL will arrive in Terminal 5 and Icelandair operates from Terminal 7. You will have to take the AirTrain/AirTerminals Train which runs outside the secure area.

its the same problem I am having I am arriving at jfk at 8.59 pm with jet blue and I have to recheck in with Caribbean airline at terminal 4 I don't want to be late for my check in which I am arriving exactly 3 hours, the only problem I have to take my check in luggage and re check in pluss I have a 3 year old and a 5 year old I don't know how to get to the air tran and I don't know what to do if to just get a taxi to the terminal 4 with the kids or will it be faster and easier with the air tran, will I get help to go to the terminal using the air tran? • Blue Line to Terminal 5

This is my first time at O'Hare. I usually do Midway so I'm not familiar with the transportation system. How much time/where should I go to get from the Blue Line to Terminal 5?

It takes about another 10-15 minutes to reach T5 from the Blue Line stop. The fastest way is to go into T2, go up 3 stories and over to the ATS station, and then take the ATS to T5.

  • Connections time 1h.10min AMS-ATL

Hi, I have not been flying from Schiphol in a long time, our time between landing and takeoff is 1h 10 min. We fly from Stockholm - Amsterdam - Atlanta. How is the security checks and the times for these between gates? We are flying with Delta (KLM), on a weekday, and in the afternoon, (booked the entire trip through Delta.com) ... experience? thank you! How does the service if we miss the flight, experience?

You should have plenty of time. If you do miss your connection due to a delay you will be rebooked to Atlanta on the next available flight, possibly through another Delta hub, such as Detroit or NY-JFK.

  • Is this connection possible

I am looking at booking a trip to Cancun that has a 40 minute layover in Houston (IAH) from Calgary (YYC). Is it possible to make it through in that time. The flight arrives in Houston at 6:15pm and leaves at 6:55pm. Do I need to go through customs?

You will go through US Immigration in Calgary. As such in Houston you will just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should arrive in Terminal C and depart from Terminal E, which are connected directly. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • Connecting in Atlanta

If i am just making a connection in Atlanta for a domestic flight, does this mean I don't have to go to the terminal....just go from my landing concourse to my departing one? I do not intend to check a bag, or would that make any difference? Thanks!

Yes, you don't have to go in the terminal, just between concourses if necessary. Procedure is the same with or without checked bags.

please let me know if the time is enough for transfer, never been to this airport and it made me anxious, thanks for your help.

by the way, I will be flying through united, thank you!

Well, IAD is a more simple airport than EWR. You will probably arrive in concourse A (but could arrive in C or D) you will depart from concourse C or D. C and D are just two sides of the same long building and A is connected to them by the AeroTrain and mobile lounge inside security. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Thank you so much for your fast response. My arrival time in IAD is 7:25, how is the security around that time, I am worried it might be busy and the line is long, Thank you for your help.

7:25 AM or PM? You won't have to go through security at IAD.

It is 7:25 AM. So my bag won't be check anymore? Thanks again! Best Regards

If you check a bag in Newark the next time you'll see it is in Seattle

We arrive on a united flight from fort mcmurray and connect to cancun. We have 1 hour before the connecting departs. Because both flights are at concourse B with united. Do we have to pickup our bags or are they transferred for us.? Will we have time to go through customs and security?

You will have to clear Customs and Border Protection with all of your luggage and then recheck it.

Will we have time to make the connection (Denver) if this is this case? I am travelling with a toddler and infant as well.

You may be cutting it close. I would suggest you contact United to discuss. 1-800-UNITED-1 Also, I would let the flight staff know your situation and see if there is any way they can assist you. Best suggestion is to travel with carry-ons only... but with a toddler and infant I can see how that might now be able to happen.

Your Ft. McMurray flight will not arrive in Concourse B, it will arrive in Concourse A because you have to clear US immigration in Denver. You will then have to claim your baggage, go through customs, and re-check your bags, then go back through security and take the train to concourse B for departure. You will have a tough time doing that in an hour.

Ok I chatted with United and they insist they have given my the time required to make the connection, but I dont see it. I would have been happy to rebook, but they insist the time for the connection meets their requirements.

    Did you make it

I am so uneasy with the terminal trains, Can I get on the wrong train or does it go in a continuous link where I would always get to the right terminal if I stay on long enough?

There's only one TerminaLink Train route and it goes to the stations in alphabet order. When it gets to the end, it turns around and goes the other way.

My elderly father is flying back home via American and I'm on a Alaska airlines flight. Can I check in for an Alaska flight in terminal 1 and see him to his gate? If possible, how much time should I leave to get to Terminal 3 within security?

No, you cannot check in for an Alaska flight in Terminal 1. However, if you check in online you could go through security in T1 with your father, then take the tram to him with D (where his American flight will depart), then take the T3 tram to E where your flight will depart. If you cannot check-in online beforehand you will not be able to go through security in T1 or get to T3 within security. You'll have to take a shuttle bus to T3.

  • Transfer from AI(Terminal 5) to Delta (Terminal 2)
    Jan 8, 2014

I am traveling from Delhi to Minneapolis via Chicago. My international flight(AI) is getting down at Terminal 5 and i need to board the domestic FLIGHT(Delta) from Terminal 2. Since i need to re-checkin, can i do the same at Terminal 5 for delta and then get into ATS train? or i will need to carry the check-in bags to Terminal 2?

If your tickets were bought on the same reservation Air India should be able to check your bags to MSP and then you can drop them in T5. If not, then you will have to take them on the ATS Train to T2 and check them with Delta there (and pay checked bag fees).

  • 2 hour connection - LAS SFO YYZ

Flying on United on a single ticket without checking in baggage and a 2 hour connection time in SFO between LAS and YYZ. I think this is a domestic to international flight? Would 2 hour connection be sufficient?

Yes, that should be plenty of time. All United gates at SFO are connected beyond security.
