Travelling from Orlando to Houston and then onto London Heathrow using United Airlines. We only have 35 minutes to make the connection. Will that be enough? We leave for London from terminal E but not sure what terminal we land at in Houston. Thank you

Your flight from Orlando will probably arrive in C. You should have enough time.

  • Terminal C to Terminal A

I am Arriving tomorrow at terminal c and I am leaving on a flight out of terminal A. What is the fastest way to get there and so I have Togo back thru security. If I have to go back they security, do they have TSA precheck?

If you are flying United on one or both of your flights then United operates a shuttle on the secure side, therefore you won't have to go through security again.

Thx , what gate do I pick the shuttle up at?

    See United's map - http://www.united.com/web/en-us/content/travel/airport/maps/ewr.aspx

coming from Toronto with 45 min connecting in Chicago to Los Cabos. Is this enough time

What airlines are you flying? You will pre-clear US Immigration in Toronto so you won't have to claim baggage or go through immigration in Chicago, you'll just have to get from gate to gate.

  • 1,5 hours time to transfer?
    Aug 17, 2013

Hi, I've booked my first US trip but I think I may have too little time to catch the connecting flight. I'm arriving from Europe with Delta Airlines at 1305, and should depart for an internal flight with Delta at 1435 to Baltimore. Is this enough time to pass through customs, collect baggage, drop off baggage again and board the plane? What should I do to make it? I could try to travel with carry on only, would that help? Thanks in advance!

You would arrive at JFK's Terminal 4, and depart from Terminal 2. Your stated transfer time of 1.5 hrs could suffice under normal travel conditions, but leaves no room for late arrival, or longer lines due to either rush hour, high season / holidays (including the week before & after Labor Day (Sept.2). After baggage re-check-in, you would need to board the 'Airline Terminals Train' making its continuous loop between the terminals, to the next stop at Terminal 2 (there is no T3), where you need to go through security check prior to proceeding to your gate. Your chances are better without the baggage.

  • change terminals?

Flying United airlines from Houston Intercontinental Airport and catching United airlines flight to Greenbrier WV (LWB) will i have to change terminals?

At IAD, United uses Concourses A, B, C & D with corresponding gates (i.e., C30). Your boarding pass & overhead screens on arrival should indicate your connecting flight & gate number. I strongly suggest that you open www.ifly.com/iad, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text, paying attention to 'International Arrivals' (if applicable), Midfield Concourses and their gates & how to connect.

You will arrive in concourse C/D and depart from A. IAD only has one "terminal". You can take the Aerotrain or mobile lounge between concourses.

Flying on United Airlines-- arriving from San Antonio and catching a flight to Washington DC. Will i have to switch terminals

At IAH, United uses Terminals A, B, C & E with corresponding gates (i.e., gate C24). The above-ground TerminaLink train, which starts its service at the Terminal A station, connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security (allow for 30 mins transfer from A to D). Your boarding pass & overhead screens on arrival should indicate your connecting flight & gate number.

You will likely arrive in B or C and depart from C. You will know the exact gates day of departure.

  • Air Cda to Chicago - Chicago to Fairbanks
    Aug 17, 2013

Flying with Air Cda then change to United at O'Hare Airport to go to Fairbanks. We arrive at O'Hare at 12.35 p.m. at Term 2 and depart with United at 3.59 p.m. from Terminal 1. Will we have to go through customs and security again (we will have done that in Toronto) Will we have to pick up our luggage and take it to the United check in and how long will it take to get from Term 2 to Term 1? Thank you for all your help.

On arrival at ORD, you will be considered to be a domestic arrival, no need for customs procedure. On arrival at T2, use the walkway at post-security area of the Departures level - follow signs - to T1. Your bags will automatically be transferred as Air Canada & United belong to the same Star Alliance.

  • 55 Minute Layover have to change terminals check or bring bag
    Aug 17, 2013

I have a 55 minute layover in Newark and I need to get from Terminal C to Terminal A I know I can take the monoral to get to terminal A my suitcase is small enough to bring with me on the plane however because it is possible that they may have to put it under the plane cause there isn't enough room on the plane should i just check it cause then I wont have to worry about waiting for it and being able to get to my next flight or should I bring it with me

You can take the shuttle bus at EWR Newark Airport, between Terminals A & C - at TA (near gate A28), TC (near gate C71) - no security check needed. That should give you enough time to have your bags stored in the hold room of the plane.

  • Transfer between A and B/C concourses

Is there a shuttle bus/people miover/train system or just a tunnel walkway between these consncourses?

At DTW, Concourse A of McNamara has 1.5 miles of moving walkways, but also uses the Express Tram serving 3 stations - the South station near gate A11, the Terminal station in the center near the water feature, and the North station near gate A67. Concouses B (left) & C (right) can only be reached from Concourse A, at its center, by using the tunnel. Note: C gates C1-C7 are on the lower level, reached in the center of B/C via elcalator.

It's not a long walk through the tunnel between A and B/C

  • arriving on a domestic flight and departing on an international flight

I arrive on Delta Flight DL7541 operated by Alaskan Airlines and depart on Delta Flight DL183 for Osaka Japan, can you give me directions upon reaching the airport.

You could arrive either in the N satellite or D Concourse. You will depart from the S satellite. If you arrive in N, you need to take the train to the Main Terminal North station, then get on another train to the Main Terminal South station, then a third train to the S Satellite. If you arrive in D, you walk to the Main Terminal North station and then follow the same route.

  • connecting from Dubai/IAH/MEX

hi, I'm arrving on Emirates to IAH and connecting to MEX via Aeromexico, are they on the same Terminal, i have 1;40 hour, is it enough time? Sincerely aldo

Yes, they will be in the same terminal (D). Emirates and AeroMexico interline, so once you exit customs you can re-check your bags at the re-check counter but then have to go get your AeroMexico boarding pass from their counter. It should barely be enough time.

  • International to Internal at T8

Hi, Planning a trip from London to Cleveland (OH). AA are suggesting a flight arriving at 1335 and then connecting out at 1455. Is 1hr 20 mins really a realistic connection please?

No, I wouldn't advise that. It may be possible, but I wouldn't schedule a connection that is less than 2 hours International->Domestic at JFK, even in the same terminal.

    Thanks for confirming that.

  • Enough time between Terminal B and C?
    Aug 16, 2013
    1
Arriving in terminal B at 16.05 (LH 408) and transferring to Terminal C for a connecting flight to Ft Lauderdale at 18.30 (UA 1730 -LH7748). Will there be enough time for passport check, customs and transfer? And where do we drop the bags -do we bring them to Terminal C by the train or is there some other droppoint?

Yes, that should be enough time. You will be able to re-check your bags after clearing customs in Terminal B.
