I am flying from Edinburgh -Newark - Orlando (MCO) all flights with Untied Airlines , will my luggage go straight through to Orlando or will I have to pick it up and recheck in at Newark? Also I have 2 1/2 hrs Between flights at Newark will that be enough time to get through Emigration pick luggage ( if needed) and get from TB- TC ? Thanks

You will arrive in either Terminal B or Terminal C, go through US Immigration, claim your baggage, go through US Customs, then immediately re-check your bags with United. Then if you arrived in Terminal B, you will take the AirTrain to Terminal C. Then you will go through security and to your gate. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • 45 min connection time?

Arriving at ORD on a domestic United flight from Denver (I do not know what terminal) and connecting to a United codeshare on Air Canada Express Sky Regional (again I do not know terminal). Is 45 mins sufficient for me to connect? - and my checked bag? Will both flights be in the same terminal?

Your first flight will arrive in Terminal 1, either the B or C concourse. The second flight will leave from Terminal 2, in the first few gates of concourse E. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time but there's very little time for delays. There is a walkway between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 inside security. Just follow the signs.

Traveling from chicago to Houston international airport terminal C and transfer to terminal E to morelia, Is .30 minutes enough time to go from terminal C to terminal E ?

Yes, it is enough time if your first flight is on-time but leaves little to no time in the case of delays.

Hi, I have flight from DFW to JFK (using Delta) arriving at 2:44pm and then to Tel Aviv (using ElAl) leaving at 7:00pm. Tickets were bought separately. 1. Can I ask Delta to issue both tickets at DFW? 2. will it be enough connection time? 3. should I check out luggage and check in again at JFK? if yes, are there any tips to simplify the process?

Delta cannot issue your El Al boarding pass as they will not have access to your reservation. Yes, you will have to transfer your baggage yourself. You will have to claim it in T2 or T4 when you arrive, take it on the AirTrain to T4 (if you arrive in T2), then take it to the El Al counter to check to TLV. You should have plenty of time as long as your first flight is anywhere close to on-time.

Thank you! Do you know if there are any visual tours: of the Terminal 2 - how to get your luggage from luggage claim and Terminal 4 - how to pass the security?

There are no visual tours, just plenty of maps. The route to security is always very clearly marked and very obvious. There will be overhead signs pointing the way to everything.

Arriving on a connecting flight at Dallas at 1600 terminal B transferring to terminal D to catch flight to London at 16.50 . is 50 mins sufficient time to make this connection.

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. The Skylink train connects all terminals inside security and all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hi, I will land in International Terminal E from London Heathrow at 14:40 with British Airways. We are then catching a United flight at 15:54 to Cancun, is that enough time to connect to this flight? I'm not sure which terminal the Cancun flight will leave from. Many thanks

Your British Airways flight will actually arrive in D. Your Cancun flight will leave from E. That is NOT enough time as you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, get your United boarding passes, and re-check your bags, and go through security. 1 hr 14 mins is totally not enough time to do all that.

  • AA flights connections

Hi, I'll be arriving in Miami from Argentina in an AA flight and 2 1/2 hours later I have another flight to my final destination in Cancun, also with AA. I would probably check a bag in Argentina to get it in Cancun. Will AA let me do that or will I have to pick up my bag and go through the check in again even if I'm flying with the same airline? I understand I might have to pass through custums but Is there a transit area for passengers connecting with the same airline? Would you recommend taking a carry on instead of checking a bag for this trip to Cancun via Miami? Thank you!

Yes, you will have to claim your bag to go through US Customs in Miami, and yes, you will have to go through US Immigration and Customs in Miami. You should have enough time even with a checked bag, but if you do want to save some time, only taking a carry-on will save you some time in your connection.

    Thank you!!

  • how long of a connection do i need for domestic to domestic

I will arrive in JFK from AUH on Etihad T4 but will be precleared in AUH and its supposed to be treated as a domestic arrival. Arriving at 4:35 PM, and need to fly on to CLE on the same day. The latest flight i can find seems to be Delta (T2) at 7 PM (need to be there 60 mins before i believe), so will i be able to make the connection? What if my flight is a bit late, will i be able to make it? Basically how much time do i need to allow? Thanks

Yes, you could make that connection because of the pre-clearance in Abu Dhabi. You will likely have your baggage (if you're checking bags) by 5:05 PM, it will take you maybe 10 minutes to get to T2, so you'll be in line to check your bags with Delta at T2 by 5:15 - so your flight can be up to 45 minutes late and you'll still be OK.

    thank you!

I will be arriving from Colorado springs from terminal b and have to catch my next flight in terminal c to Austin teaxs and its 53minutes between lay over. is there going to be enough time to make it to my next flight? is there a shuttle that can take me the terminal c?

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.

booking a flight connecting in dtw have 51 min . what is terminal em mean

Terminal EM is the McNamara Terminal, the terminal Delta and their skyteam partners use.

And yes, 51 minutes should be enough time if the first flight is domestic.

  • 45 mins connection time domestic to international

Hi, I am flying into ORD from Knoxville and have 45 mins to get from the plane to make my international connection to London. Both flights are BA, will i be able to make it? Will i need to collect my luggage or clear customs again?

Your first flight will be operated by American and arrive into Terminal 3. If your second flight is truly operated by British Airways (note that BA and American codeshare and some "BA" ORD-LHR flights are operated by AA), then it will be very difficult. You will not have to do anything with your luggage or go through Immigration or customs (you don't do that when leaving the us). However, you will have to exit T3 and take the ATS train to T5 and go through security OR you will have to take the British Airways shuttle bus, which runs inside security but infrequently. Please double check your itinerary to see who is operating your flights.

Hi, I will be arriving at terminal 5 from Mexico and leaving from Terminal 1 2 hours later. Do you think I will have enough time for immigration and customers? are there shuttle between terminals? thanks

Yes, that should be enough time. The terminals are connected by the ATS Train.

  • Arriving from Jamaica Sunday night How long is customs wait?

I need to know how long we realistically need arriving on a Sunday night from Jamaica, then have to connect to another domestic flight on AA. We are travelling with a baby also...

90 minutes is the minimum connection time and should be OK.

Hi, I'm considering a flight with Delta from Dublin to New Orleans via JFK. We will have cleared security in Dublin, but have only 1 hour 5 minutes to make the connecting flight to NO. Both are with delta so I was hoping this might be doable? Thanks!!

Yes. it should be doable but doesn't leave much time for delays. You will likely have to take the shuttle bus from T4 to T2 upon arrival.
