I am arriving at Terminal 5 from Philadelphia and connecting to terminal 2 for a flight to Jackson hole in Wyoming. I have a carry on bag. Do I have to go through security again?

If you arrive at T5 'from Philadelphia' in which which Airport is your connecting flight?

Went to get a bottle of wine uncorked... Girl threw corkscrew at me... Extremely rude. Luckily young man with better manners stepped in and opened the wine for us. I wish I could give names. The wine was purchased at ciao.

We are arriving at Terminal 5 and leaving from Terminal 1 - I know that we will most likely have to clear immigration/customs at Terminal 5 - but do we have to transport our checked baggage from there to Terminal 1 prior to going back through security? Will we have enough time?

Yes you have enough time. On arrival, go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in bags; then proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System (ATS) station (follow signs)& take the ATS train, which runs every few minutes, to T1, where you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate.

i am coming by aircanada and leaving by airindia at jfk, i will have two check in baggage. could you guide me how to carry those two baggage and one carry bag while going airtrain

If you departed from a Canadian airport which has US customs clearance, you need not go through passport control & customs clearance at JFK. Also, if you purchased your flights on one ticket, or your AirIndia flight is a code-share with AirCanada - your bags will automatically be transferred - if not, you need to claim your bags and re-check them in at T4. To get from T7 to T4 take the 'Airline Terminals' train (your next stops are T5, then T4. If you can't manage taking your bags on the train, get a trolley and exit T7, taking a taxi - in both cases you need to go through security check at T4 before proceeding to your gate.

    thanks for the info

We are travelling to fort lauderdale via IAD and we need to go from concourse C to concourse D. As per the map it seems an easy walk; but I wanted to validate. Is it that easy? And is there any security clearance between the 2 concourses? Tx

They are directly connected. Other than the letters changing from C to D, you can't even really tell where C ends and D begins. There's no security between them.

  • 1 hour 20 minutes, enough?

Hi, I'm booking a flight from San Francisco to Washington, it should arrive at 3.55 pm and my next flight to Europe would leave at 5.15 pm (which leaves 1 hour 20 minutes). Would that be enough time to transfer? Did I understand right, that once I do security in San Francisco I shouldn't pass through it again in DC, even if the flight is for Europe? Thanks

Yes, you will not have to go through security in Washington, just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which will both be located on the C/D concourse.

  • Do I need to re-check the baggage

Below listed is my itinerary Tampa => JFK, JFK => Dubai, Dubai => India. The itinerary is all on one ticket. Tampa to JKF flight is operated by American Airlines and will be arriving JFK at 21:30. The Emirates flight departs at 23:00. Do I need to re-check the baggage at JFK (2 bags). If yes, would hour and half be enough for me take the emirates flight?

American and Emirates have an Interline agreement, so they should be able to check your bags through to India in Tampa and you will not have to claim them in JFK. All you will have to do is go from Terminal 8 to Terminal 4, get your Emirates boarding passes if you don't already have them, and go through security.

Thanks a lot for the answer.

Can you advise where the Emirates transfer desk is? I am flying into JFK from Cartegena on JetBlue, then on Emirates to DXB. I think JetBlue will arrive in T4 so was hoping to just do a transit to the EK flight, rather than going through immigration and customs. I have tried to checkin online for the EK flight but I still have to pick up a boarding pass.

Any time you enter the US you have to go through US Immigration and customs. There's no way around it.

I will be flying on Cathay Pacific from HKG landing at ORD at 13:50. I then plan to take flight DL 3300 to DTW at 16:25. I am booking this trip in two separated tickets. Is this sufficient time? Thanks for your help!

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • Terminal 5 to Terminal 3 ( and through Customs & Immigration)

I am flying back from London (British Airway) to Terminal 5 then I have a connection to Indianapolis through Terminal 3. Will 90 minutes be enough time to change terminals including customs & immigration ?

That is pushing the limit of what's possible. You'll have to take the ATS train between terminals and go through Security in T3.

  • terminal b to d with bags

Hi I have a connection from terminal b to d. I have 2 separate bookings and so my bags will not be transferred by airline. I have to pick nags and change terminal. How do I do that?

The Inter-Terminal Train runs between the terminals outside the secure area.

I read that that cart are not allowed in the train. So how would I take all the bags. I have 4 big bags, 2 carry on bags, 1 stroller 1 car seat, a lot of luggage. Thanks.

Buy a foldable luggage cart and pack it in your luggage.

  • Toronto, Can -> Washington -> Dublin, Ire

I have 50 minutes to connect in Washington for a flight to Dublin, Ireland. I'm an Irish citizen but I will have cleared US immigration in Toronto, both flights are with United. Will I be OK to make my connection?

Yes, that should be enough time. You will depart from the C/D concourse and may arrive in either A, C, or D. If you arrive in A you will have to take the AeroTrain or Mobile Lounge to your departure gate in C/D.
