  • connecting between 2F AND T1

I'm flying from Barcelona via CDG with Air France to Cork with aer lingus from T1 I will have to recheck my bag is 2.5 hours enough time, thanks

Did you purchase your tickets separately or together? If together you will have a ton of time. Just ride the CDGVAL from T2 to T1 and go through Schengen Exit passport control and security. Even if separately and you have to bring your bags on the CDGVAL with you, you should have enough time.

    thanks for the information

We will be in business class so can use the faster security lines...is two hours enough time to make a connection between Delta on terminal 4 and Alitalia (Delta code share) on terminal 1

Yes, that should be plenty of time if your Delta flight is domestic and enough time if your Delta flight is International.

  • Heathrow to Phoenix via ORD

my 'american airlines' plane lands at ORD at 12:45pm on a Wednesday at terminal 5 and i have to get on a "US Airways" plane that departs from terminal 3 at 14:05. iv called my TA and explained she then called the airline and got back to me saying this is enough time!.... how is this possible? this is all on the same ticket! what do i do? what happens if i don't make my connection?

It is 10 minutes below the minimum connection time. It is possible to make this connection though, especially if you are a US Citizen. Just move as quickly as possible. If you do miss your connection you will be rebooked on the next AA or US Airways flight to Phoenix.

I land at IAD from Toronto and will have 51 minutes to get onto a plane to Kuwait. This seems very short for an international transfer. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in IAD is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If your first flight is on-time you should have enough time.

  • 45 minute DFW layover.... Will my luggage make it?

Hello. I have a BPT - DFW - SJU flight. I have a 45 minute layover in DFW with checked baggage. Is this enough time for myself and my checked bags to make the connection to SJU on 2/18/2015

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. The SkyLink train connects all terminals inside security.

SW flight arrives at 3:30 and virgin flight departs at 4:45. I will not have any checked bags. Is this enough time between flights?

Yes, if you check in online for your Virgin America flight and your first flight is on-time you should have enough time. It will take about 10 minutes to walk from T1 to T3.

  • Pick up bags?
    Jan 29, 2015

I am flying with United Airlines from Ecuador (stopping in Panama) to Newark, arriving 3:20 PM in terminal C. My flight with SAS to Copenhagen from terminal B departs at 5:30 PM. Two dif purchased flights. Do I have to do migration, pick up bag, go to the other terminal, check in and do security? Or will my bag go directly to CPH and I'm just able to go to the other terminal from inside the airport (no migration)? Will I make it?

You can ask the Copa agent in Ecuador and show him your SAS confirmation. However, they are not obligated to check your bag through. And either way, you will have to claim your bag in Newark to go through US Customs. If it is tagged through to CPH then you can drop it at the re-check desk, but yes, if they only tag it through to EWR you will have to take it to the SAS counter in Terminal B. Every passenger arriving in the US has to go through US Immigration, even if they are connecting on elsewhere.

  • transfer time from international to domestic flight

My flight from MAN arrives at 3:30pm and departs at 4:45pm for STL. Is this enough time?

That's definitely cutting it close. You will arrive in the C/D concourse, go through US Immigration, claim your bag, go through US Customs, then re-check your bag at the transfer desk, then you will go through security and to your departure gate, which may be on C or D but may also be in A, which will require taking the AeroTrain.

  • Using airport lounge on different terminal
    Jan 29, 2015

My husband and I have a flight from Terminal 4, however, have passes for the United lounge on Terminal 7. Would it be possible for us to clear security on Terminal 4 and then head to the lounge on Terminal 7 for a bit before we head back to Terminal 4 for our flight? I guess the question is are the terminals connected post security and can I use the United lounge even though my flight is from a different terminal?

No, T7 is not connected to any other terminal inside security.

  • layover time for int'l flight
    Jan 29, 2015

hello, I have a 45 minute layover in between my SAN - IAD flight to board my IAD-BAH flight. Is this enough time? I know at other airports I have to go through security a second time to get into the Int'l terminal. Is this not the case at IAD? many thanks!

IAD does not have a separate international terminal. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which will both be on the C/D concourse. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • san juan - atlanta- amsterdam. 48 min-Enough time?

flying from San juan domestic (terminal S) and have 48 minutes to conecting flight to Amsterdam I, will we have enough time and how do we get between the two terminals?

You don't actually have to change terminals. You just have to take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse (could be T, A, B, or C) to your departure concourse (E or F). You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • 6hours layover enough to go out of the airport
    Jan 29, 2015
    1
Flight from Amsterdam to Honolulu with 6hours layover in Seattle purchased in 1 ticket. Would it be possible to get out of the airport to meet a friend for a couple of hours or isn`t it allowed to exit the security zone as my final destination is Hawaii? Despite the immigration time..

Seattle is a tricky airport. If you are a connecting passenger off an international flight after customs you follow a route to re-check your bags, then go back through security, then you are back in the secure area. Passengers ending their journey in seattle follow a different route and have to put their bags on a conveyor to be taken to the baggage claim and then take a train to the main terminal. If you do want to see your friend, you can do that, but you will have to first follow the path for a connecting passenger and re-check your bag and go through security. Then you will take the train to another concourse, such as A or B. Then you can walk from A or B to the baggage claim where you will be outside the secure area. There are no checks for people exiting the secure area. To get to your departure gate, head back through security and to your departure concourse. So, generally, yes, it is possible, but it's a big hassle.

  • Flying domestic into terminal A and transfer to terminal B for Zurich
    Jan 30, 2015

United express lands at 8.30 pm and Swiss Airlines departs at 10.00PM then what is the best way to go from terminal A to B without security. Does the shuttle bus is just between the terminals or to other places too. its a one ticket so i think i dont have to recheck them. Please advise Thanks, also provide information if available from B terminal which gate Swiss airlines operate for Zurich Thanks .

Yes, the shuttle bus is the only connection inside security. The shuttle bus takes you to the same part of Terminal B where the Swiss flight departs. It appears to use gate B67.

Thanks for replying could you please tell me the frequency of bus and from which A gate i get the bus within the security

The bus runs once every 10 minutes or so. The bus leaves from near A28.

What if my flight was not united. Can I still take this bus shuttle to terminal b from a. Does the bus leaves from level 2? Since arrivals are level 2 ? Does this runs only between terminals a b an d c or it goes to other parking garages too ? Thanks
