Hi, I will arrive on a Virgin Atlantic flight (from London) in Terminal 4 on 15:25 (July - Friday) I'll have to catch a Jet Blue flight to Buffalo in Terminal 5 on 18:59. Do you thing that three and a half hours are sufficient time to collect languages , go through customs and recheck languages for Jet Blue flight ?

Yes, that should be enough time. You can get from T4 to T5 on the AirTrain.

    Thank you !!

  • Enough time for connecting flight?

I'm flying from Amsterdam to Rome, arriving FCO at 20:55 (T1) and I have a connecting flight to Rio de Janeiro departing at 21:45 (T3). I will have checked luggage and I'm EU citizen. Can I make this connection? How are the terminals connected?

Did you purchase your tickets together or separately? They are connected. If tickets were purchased together, All you have to do is follow signs to your departure gate. You will go through Schengen Exit passport control on your way.

Thank you! I think they are purchased together (the company booked them), because they have the same booking number. Both also have Alitalia flight numbers.

Do you know if a Colombian citizen without a USA visa can connect through Houston between Bogota and Calgary?

No, you will have to acquire a United States Transit Visa.

    Thank you!

Hello, I will be traveling RDU-IAD-MUC on June 12th with only 55 minutes layover in IAD. Is this time enough to get from my arrival terminal (from RDU) to my departure terminal (to MUC)? Thank you so much for your help.

IAD only has one terminal. Both of your gates will likely be on the same concourse - C/D if they are both on United.

Hello, I am flying from PEARSON, FLIGHT US6409 arriving at 19:35 in terminal C. I have a connecting flight in terminal A for flight #AY4129 to Dublin. Do I need to go through US customs/security/re-check in? I am worried that I will not have enough time between flights for all of this?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Philadelphia is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. They are connected by walkways inside security.

That's great thanks! Would it be the same on the way back? Pre clearance in Dublin before connecting in philly? It's the same two terminals. I really appreciate your help!

Yes, it will be the same on the way back since Dublin has preclearance.

  • Getting through customs and changing terminals
    May 1, 2015

Hello, I will be arriving from Paris to Terminal 1 on AirFrance and then will have to go to Terminal 4 for a Delta flight. After we pick up our bags and go through customs, where do we recheck our bags? Do I have to take them to terminal 4 or can we do it at terminal 1 where we will be going through customs? How do we get from terminal 1 to terminal 4?

If you purchased your tickets together and your bags are tagged through to your final destination, you can re-check them at the transfer desk immediately after customs in Terminal 1. You get from T1 to T4 using the AirTrain.

  • 40mins layover

hi all, I am a non US person having a 40mins layover time at DFW from VPS to MCO.. Booked on American Airlines / American Eagle. Do i need to collect my luggage and recheck in and go thru immigration or can i just walk to the gate en route to MCO? Let me know, thanks much.

VPS, DFW, and MCO are all located in the United States. You do not have to go through Immigration on trips within the United States. All you have to do in DFW is go from your arrival gate in Terminal B to your departure gate in Terminal A, C, or D. The SkyLink train connects all terminals inside security.

  • Connection time of 1:15 hr between Domestic & international

I am flying from Anchorage to Calgary via Seattle with both flights on Delta Airlines ,I only have 1:15 hr connection time between flights are the gates close by and how long to go through security & immigration ?

You do not go through US Immigration when leaving the US. You will go through Canadian Immigration when you get to Calgary. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Seattle. Delta uses gates in the A, B, and S concourses. S is connected to A and B by an underground train inside security.

  • lay over time an hour

There was an involuntary schedule change and my lay over time is only a bit more than an hour. I arrived at ORD (from MSP) at 10:48am and my next flight is an international one (Korean Air) which leaves on 12:35 pm. Is it enough time or do I have to change my flight I bought tickets separately and wonder if I have too check in my baggage again.

That should barely be enough time if you do have to claim and transfer your baggage. Delta may check your bags through to Korean as Delta and Korean are skyteam parters if you show your Korean confirmation at MSP.

  • CDG 1 to TGV station

Flying in on SIA in terminal 1 and arriving at 730am, will there be enough time to catch the 830am train to Lyon ? Thanks

It's possible, but depends on your flight arriving on-time, your baggage coming out quickly, and finding your way down to the CDGVAL station quickly (it's kind of hard to find, you have to take an elevator).

  • Immigration and customs in seattle. 1 hr 50 mins layover

ill be flying from ICN-SEA-JNU ICN-SEA with a 1 Hr and 50 min layover, with a connection SEA-JNU "alaska air" Do i go through immigration and customs, and then out the gate. and then go back into the TSA line for my connection with alaska air? or do i go through customs and i will be able to go straight to alaska air gate with out being checked again from TSA? also how close would it be with me seated in the back of my plane seat 44 "boeing 777-300 er" with 1hr 50 mins? dan

In Seattle you will arrive in the S concourse, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. Your flight to Juneau will leave from the C, D, or N concourse. You should have enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • Augusta , GA to Delhi

Hi I will be travelling from Augusta, GA to Chicago via Delta which lands on Terminal 2. I will have checked in baggage and then have a connection in almost 2 hrs with Air India from Terminal 5. I have never been to this airport before. Can someone please guide me how to go from Terminal 2 to 5 . And how much time would it take? Thanks.

You just follow signs to the ATS Train to Terminal 5. If you are purchasing two separate tickets you will have to transfer your bags yourself from Terminal 2 to check them with Air India in Terminal 5. 2 hours should be definitely enough time if your bags are checked through and barely enough time if they are not.

Thanks. Yes I have seprate tickets. Will I need to go through security check before terminal 5. Or the only security check I will gothru will be at terminal 5 when I am boarding airIndia.

The only security check will be in Terminal 5 between the Air India check-in counter and the gate.

  • Time between concourses

Yes thank you Zap, but how long would it actually take to actually travel from concourse C to concourse A?What way is the quickest? shuttle or train or are there escalators or can you walk it? Thanks

They take about the same amount of time. You cannot walk from A to C.

The transfer itself would take may 10 minutes.

  • Bag re-check MBJ-ATL-HSV

This is probably a stupid question on my part, but this will be my first time flying internationally so I just want to make sure. Will be coming back from Jamaica through Atlanta on the way to Huntsville, AL. I've heard you have to re-check your bags after clearing customs in Atlanta before going to my connecting flight to Huntsville. Do I need to tell the ticket agent in Jamaica to only check my bag to Atlanta or will they check it all the way through to Huntsville and the baggage handlers in Atlanta will know to send it to the customs area first and not on to the next flight? Again, probably a stupid question on my part, and I'm sure I know the right answer, but just wanted to double check since this is my first time flying internationally and want to make sure the process is as smooth as possible. Thanks!

The bags will be tagged through to Huntsville and will come out on the belt in Atlanta. All bags on your flight from Jamaica will go straight to the belt, regardless of final destination.

    Sounds good. Thank you!
