  • Do I need to re-check thru security?
    Feb 16, 2013
    1
Moving between Gates C and D is there security to pass through when getting a connecting flight? Thanks

Keep in mind that C gates are part of Terminal 1; however, they are long and use the C gate tram (arriving at Baggage claim level; right adjacent to your arriving C gate tram is the D gate tram to the more distant Satellite D (where it will arrive close gates D50-59, and gates D32-D43; on opposite sides are gates D16-D26 & D1-D14. No security check needed.

  • Can I make it

I arrive at 10:57 on Great Lakes Air and need to connect to SW flight at 12. Can I make it?

Denver airport is really easy to navigate - lots of moving sidewalks and a train between each concourse. You'll arrive at the end of B and need to get to the center to take the train to C. Probably won't take you longer than 20 minutes tops to get to your next gate.

Make sure to check in online and print your boarding pass for your Southwest flight before you leave! Also, don't plan on checking a bag with that transfer time as Great Lakes won't transfer to Southwest so you'd have to claim and then recheck, which I don't think you will have time to do.

    Thanks for your input

Thanks. I can make it without luggage. Just what I needed to know

  • SW flight connect

I arrive on SW flight 1069 at 8:25 pm and need to connect to SW flight 159 at 9:05 pm. Will I have enough time?

If arriving & departing on domestic flights at DEN, your transfer time is sufficient. Southwest uses Concourse C (gates C29-39 & C40-49) for domestic flights.

Our son is arriving on Alaska 92 and connecting to Horizon 2045. What are the gates for these two flights?

He arrives at Concourse C, Gate C-2C & departs from gate C15 (Horizon merged into Alaska, & gates are listed under Alaska). (Concourse C has gates C-2A through C-2M and als gated C3 to C 20.

I arrive at A27 and Board at D8. How long will it take to walk or should I get a tram? I have 1 hour between flights. Thanks

At ATL, on arrival at Concourse A, you need to take the escalator/ elevator down to the Plane Train; At Concourse D you need to take the escalator/ elevator up to your gate - head for gates C16-D1. You have enough time.

I have a one hour layover and will go from Terminal 1 to INternational Terminal 5. Is one hour enough time?

It might be possible, are your flights on one ticket? The connection takes about half an hour and you have to go through security again in T5. I would try to have more time. It's definitely not enough time if you'll have to check in again with your international carrier in T5.

I have two questions. I arrive CDG from Canada and have a transfer to 2F to MRS . Do I have to claim my luggage. Both flights are AF. On return I have a 5 hour connex. I am meeting a friend at CDG Where would be the best place as I assume I have to go past security.

At CDG, Air France mainly uses Terminal 2, which consists of 7 terminals and satellites. On arrival you need to go through non-Schengen passport check. Best place to meet would be in front of the information counter on the arrivals level. For details, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/cdg then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • connection to cozemul

arriving from omaha nebraska connecting to cozemul with only about 30 minutes, how far and how much time will it take?

forgot to say it is on united airlines expressjet

I'm assuming your connection is in Houston (IAH). That's a very tight connection but doable. Your flight from Omaha will probably arrive in B-north and the Cozumel flight will probably leave from Terminal E. Take the TerminaLink train. Hopefully your flight from Omaha is on time.

  • Custom time entering DFW from Belize

We have a two hour layover between entering FWD from Belize and making our connection flight. Is that enough time to get through customs? We are not checking any luggage.

Yes, that should be plenty of time, especially if your onward flight is also on American.

  • Layover of 35 mins

I'm flying from Columbus, Ohio to Toronto with layover time of 35 minutes. Both flights are Delta. Is that enough time? Do I have to go through security check in Detroit?

No, you will not have to go through security in Detroit. All Delta gates in Detroit are connected beyond security. It's a tight connection so your first flight will need to be on-time, but if it is 35 minutes is enough.

    Thanks much!

  • International arrival/ no preclearance

Arriving from Kelowna,BC on Horizon, apparently at gate S3. Connecting to Horizon flight to Portland, connecting again with Alaska Air to Maui. Where do I pickup baggage at Seatac, go through customs, recheck baggage, go through security and which gate does Horizon fly to Portland from? We have approx. 1.5 hrs. between flights. Thanks.

You'll clear US Immigration and claim and recheck your bags with Alaska Airlines in S-Satellite. Then you'll go through security again and take the train to the main terminal and walk to Concourse C where your flight to Portland should depart from. It's a fairly involved connection that might take the full 1.5 hrs. Your connection in Portland should be easy.

I am arriving on flight US735 from Manchester, England on 27th February and transferring to flight US 1096 to Raleigh. 1. Will I need to go through Immigration Control at Philidelphia or Raleigh? 2. Will my luggage be automatically transferred to the internal flight? 2. How do I get from terminal A to terminal B and how long should it take?

You will arrive at PHL at Terminal A-West, and need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bags where indicated. Then go to the ticketing level shared by both TA-West & TA-East and take the terminal connector to Terminal TB/C, where you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate at Concourse B.

Is it possible to get from A18 to B64 in 25 minutes??

At IAH, A & B gates are not connected; they are in Terminals A & B. The above-ground TerminaLink train starts its service at Terminal A station and connects to Terminal B inside security. Follow signs and hurry. TB has gates B68-B75 and B60-B66.
