Arriving on domestic flight going to Vancouver British Columbia. What is the procedure?

On arrival at IAH, you need to connect to your connecting terminal & gate, which should be stated on your ticket. Open www.ifly.com/iah and click on 'Terminal Map' at QUICK LINKS - it will give you all the information needed.

  • seeing friend in transit at FRA

Hi, I have a UK friend coming on 27/09 from MAN (flight LH949) and going to Istambul (flight LH1300), transiting through FRA. He's travelling using Lufthansa. He has about 2.5 hours between his 2 flights. Is he allowed to leave the after-security area to meet me in the public area? Also where would be the best place to meet up? Thanks!

Lufthansa serves in Concourses A & B of Frankfurt Airport - Your friend should contact the flight attendant as to what he needs to do to exit secured area & get back to his connecting flight. It would be best to meet up at the baggage claim area's information counter in the main terminal's Arrivals level.

  • I fly in Denver from Florida

If I fly into Denver on Southwest from Florida..and fly out to Spokane on Southwest sounds like I'll be staying in terminal c?

Southwest serves Terminal C, which has gates west C28 to C39; C gates east C40 to C50.

  • arr DEN on Frontier with 1 hour to chang

Arr on Frontier with one hour to change to SWA flight. Is this enough time?

1 hr is sufficient if you are a domestic arrival on Frontier, which uses Concourse A. Southwest uses Concourse C, both with corresponding gates. The underground AGTS train runs continuously between the Concourses, with gates on either side (starting past the two central security screening areas and taking 5 minutes for each stop). (International arrivals go through FIS & US Customs at the north end of the Main Terminal at Level 5, where they need to retrieve their checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if connecting to another flight, take the AGTS underground train to their departure gate area.) If domestic arrival take the train to Concourse C, which runs continuously and takes only minutes.

  • TERMINAL 2 TO 3

I ARRIVE AT TERMINAL 2 AND CONNECT TO AFRICA IN TERMINAL 3. HOW FAR IS IT FROM TERMINAL 2 TO 3 WHEN WALKING? DO YOU HAVE TO CLEAR SECURITY AGAIN OR WILL BAGS BE CHECKED THROUGH?

    1. Terminal 2 of JFK Airport is for Delta with Gates 19-29, and a walkway to Terminal 3 next to Gate 19A. At Terminal 3 - also used by Delta, with gates 1-18, and you arrive there near gate 18. No need to clear security; or check bags again (as you use only one airline - correct?).

  • International student immigration check

Hello, my flight is scheduled to arrive in PHL terminal A at 3.30 PM from London. PHL is my port of entry in the USA. My next flight is scheduled to depart at 5.30 PM from terminal B to Indianapolis. I would like to know is this time sufficient for immigration check, baggage check-in and to travel between Terminal A to B? Do I have to recheck my baggage? I am flying with US Airways. I greatly appreciate your help and time.

Presuming that you use US Airways for both flights: You arrive at Terminal A (TA-West) serves all international arrivals. On arrival you need to go through passport check, pick up your bag, go through customs clearance, and re-check-in your bag where indicated (could take up to 1 hr in summer). Thereafter proceed to Terminal B via moving walkway, which has gates B1-16. Note that distances between the terminals are long, but two hours are enough time for gate-to-gate transfer.

  • flight back from BJX

I'm taking a trip to Leon/Guanajato Mexico. My trip back from BJX will be on a friday and I have a layover @IAH to go to SHV. Would it be smarter to select the flight with the layover of 2 hours instead of 55 minutes? Everything I'm reading is suggesting this which will be unfortunate becuase i will be traveling with a 2 year old.

When arriving back at IAH from Guanajato as an international arrival, you need to go through passport check, pick up your bags, go through customs clearance, and recheck-in your bag where indicated, before moving on to your connecting flight (your ticket & overhead screens on arrival will indicate Terminal, gate & departure time). This is peak summer travel time and lines are long everywhere - don't take a chance, opt for the 2-hr layover instead!

i'll be departing at terminal 6 and my son will be arriving at terminal 7 for a layover. is there a way for me to go to terminal 7 to meet him after clearing tsa at terminal 6? will i be allowed to enter terminal 7 to meet him?

There is a tunnel connection between T6 & T7. On arrival at T7, you can either meet up at the escalators leading to the tunnel or in the arrivals area, near the information counter. Your son will have to exit the secured area to meet you, as you are not allowed to go beyond security check.

  • T8 to T3 in under an hour

Currently have an American Airlines flight booked to land at 8 am in T8 and a delta departure T3 at 8:50am - chances of making the connection tomorrow moring?

On arrival at JFK, look for the "Airtrain" sign - that train is free within the airport, & makes its round among the terminals every 8 mins on average. Note, however, that it serves the post-security area of each terminal - you need to go through security check at T3 before moving on to your gate. On arrival make sure you check with the overhead screens as to your flight number, gate and departure time. You can make it, unless your incoming flight is seriously late.

Not the best restaurant but really solid. Good service, good food. Pricey but good portions.

  • Daughter has 40 min. connection

My daughter arrives in Terminal C on United and has 40 min. to connect to a United International flight in The Main Terminal. What's the best way for her to get between the two terminals in the short amount of time she has. Should I contact United for assistance?

Sorry, I misread my daughter's itinerary. Her flight from LAX arrives in Terminal C and then she departs for Costa Rica in Terminal E with 40 min. between the two flights.

If arriving at gates C29-45 and transferring to Terminal E: walk towards gates C14-24 and proceed straight on to TE.

  • AA gate to Main Terminal Ticket Counter

Upon arriving Seattle from NY on AA, I need to meet someone at the Ticket Counter 3 in the Main Terminal. Been to Seattle several times, and I always managed to get lost in the airport. Will you please help?

Yes, transfers at SEA are confusing. You arrive on American Airlines at Concourse A - across from the food court there are exits to the main terminal - look for departures /ticketing level which has ticket counters 1 - 6.

  • Easyjet From Rome to Geneva

Hello, My easyjet ticket says that I will be flying into FCO- terminal 2 (from Athens) and flying out from FCO-terminal 2 (to Geneva). I have exactly 1h25 min between flights to pick-up luggage, go to check-in and then gate number. Are the flights in this terminal with Easyjet and will that give me sufficient time? Thank you for your help!!!!!

Yes EasyJet is in Terminal 2 which is for Schengen & Non-Schengen (foreign) domestic flights; it houses Boarding Area C with C gates 1-7. On arrival look at overhead screens for your connecting gate - your ticket should also indicate gate number - and walk to your connecting gate. No need to pick up luggage, etc.

  • Terminal B to E

I arrive 10/6/12 at Logan via US Airways at 5:37 PM. Next flight is with Aer Lingus at 7:25 PM. How long does it take from Term B to E? Do we have to get bags from US Air and check them again at Aer Lingus? Is this enough time for this?

You need to contact US Airways to find out if they transfer your bags to Aer Lingus - not all airlines do, in which case you would have to get your bags on arrival and check them in at the AirLingus counter before proceeding to security check and connecting gate. Make sure that your departure is indeed Terminal E as my listing tells me that it is used exclusively for international arrivals. (Check your ticket). To get from Terminal B to Terminal E, use Bus 11 serving all terminals. 2 hours are enough time for any circumstance.

Thanks very much. I checked and it is Terminal E for departure to Ireland. I'll check with Orbitz whom I booked air with and also US Airways about luggage. We go through security at PHL to BOS. I assume only one security check in BOS at Aer Lingus with or withoug luggage? Thanks again.

You only need security check at PHL and go through passport check & customs clearance in Ireland. Find out if Irish Airport has US customs clearance, - some do- in which case use it on your way back & you won't need it on arrrival at US.
