I am flying from Washington, DC to FCO and my son is connecting in Paris and flying via Air France to Rome. I arrive earlier than him. Can you please suggest a meeting place since we are taking train together for the cruise port.Thank you., I

At FCO, Air France will arrive at Terminal 1. You can meet him near the information counter in the Arrivals Hall.

  • Domestic to International Transfer
    Jan 21, 2013

I am about to book flights from IAD onto to Melbourne, Australia via SFO and Auckland, New Zealand. I will be flying United domestically, then onward on Air New Zealand for my international flights. My connection time is only 91 minutes; it looks like I will arrive in Terminal 3 and depart from Terminal G. From what I am reading, it sounds like this connection time might be doable, but I know situations in airports often change. Can someone tell me if this is a feasible connection? I usually connect through LAX when I fly to AU/NZ, but right now flying through SFO is cheaper at the moment. Thanks.

You will arrive via United at SF at Terminal 3 and depart via Air New Zealand at the International terminal. Your bags will be automatically transferred as both airlines belong to the Star Alliance. Domestic passengers transferring from T3 to the International Terminal may transfer via a connector walkway (located post-secuirty near gate 75) to the International Terminal's Boarding Area G arriving at post-security near gate G92. Also, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/sfo then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • Where to meet?

Is there a place in T1 to meet a passenger for coffee who has a 1 1/2 hr connection?

At LAS, it is best to meet your party in the Arrivals Hall, near the information counter, then proceed to the Lobby which has plenty of food & drink options.

I will be landing in T8 with American Airlines and will have 50 minutes to get to T4. Is that enough time? Or am I better off to pay the extra money to get another flight that allows for more time during the layover?

That depends on whether you are an international or a domestic arrival. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/jfk, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

How much time do I need to get from terminal O to terminal B.

I suggest you open www.ifly.com/dfw, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text. (there is no Terminal O - must be D) -

  • Connecting from TC to TA
    Jan 21, 2013

Not familiar with this Airport. Coming from Canada via United, arriving at TA, and will have to clear US Customs there. Transfer to Terminal C for a United flight. Is it possible to connect while remaing in a secure area? Would it be better to connect via AirTrain or shuttle bus? We have 50 minutes if the flights are on time. Is this long enough?

I presume your Canadian Airport has no customs clearance, in which case you will, on arrival at EWR, Terminal C, need to go through passport check, pick up bags, & go through customs clearance and then re-check-in your bags. Thereafter you need to take the Airtrain to TA. (If you had US Customs clearance in Canada, you could use the shuttle bus or the train). 50 mins. should suffice in either case.

  • A to C in 20 min?
    Jan 20, 2013

I have to go from TA to TC in 20 min. Is that possible? And how do I do it without having to go thru security again?

At EWR you have to choices for transferring from TA to TC: 1. Hop on the AirTrain (serving pre-security, non-sterile areas on the Gate Level of all terminals and free within the Airport) and get off at your connecting terminal within minutes - however to get to your connecting gate you need to go through security check first. 2. You can also take the shuttle bus between TA & TC - at TA (near gate A28), TC (near gate C71). NOTE: Gates level of Terminal C leads to Gate Area C1, arranged in a Y-shape, with gates C70-99; Gate Area C2 (gates C101-C115); and Gate Area C3 (gates C120-139).

  • Terminal C gate proximity

We will be on an arrival from denver to newark on United to terminal C. We have another United flight to RochesterNY. There is a 35 minute layover...any chance of making this if departure is still within Terminal C? Of course this is assuming first flight is on time...it is also the day before Easter.

On arrival at EWR, Terminal C, which has a 'Gates Level'with three gate areas: Gate Area C1, arranged in a Y-shape, with gates C70-99; Gate Area C2 (gates C101-C115); and Gate Area C3 (gates C120-139), you can easily make the switch within 35 mins; HOWEVER, do make sure that your departure to Rochester is also at TC, as United also uses Terminal A for some domestic flights - you would need to take the shuttle bus near gate C71 to gate A28.

Hi I am a 66 years old US citizen arriving from Las Vegas on Condor airline and connecting a flight to dubai with Lufthansa. Never been to FRA before. How far of a walk to get to Lufthansa gate and can I get airport crew assistant. Plz advise, I don't want to miss the second flight..

I suggest you open www.ifly.com/fra, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text. Condor uses Concourse C, Lufthansa uses Concourses A & B, with corresponding gates. Your boarding pass and the overhead screens on arrival will indicate your flight and gate numbers. You will need go to through passport check on arrival.

Better than in US - ask and everyone will suppot you ;)

Thank you so much for ur reply. But do you think I have enough time?!

How much time does it take between terminal D35 to F3?

At ATL, All Concourses - domestic & international - are connected by the underground 'Plane Train' stopping at the center of each Concourse. To be on the safe side, allocate half an hour from gate to gate.

  • Shuttle Service

Do I need to take the shuttle service between T3 and T1 for a connection. Arriving at t3 and departing t1

At FCO T1 has Boarding area B & T3 Boarding areas D & H. On arrival at T1 follow signs to "Boarding Area D or H (your boarding pass and the overhead screens should indicate flight & gate numbers) - all boarding areas, except G, a inter-connected. You can also take the shuttle departing every 15 mins by requeting service via intercom at every shuttle stop.

  • Transfer from terminal S to terminal 1
    Jan 19, 2013

We have 40 mins to get from Terminal S to Terminal 1. How do we get there in time? The airport's own website does not mention any of these terminals

Atlanta Airport does not have Terminals 5 or 1. I strongly suggest you open www.ifly.com/atl - then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text. (I suspect T5 is the South Terminal - the S looking like 5) and T1 is the International Terminal (TI /IT). (North & South terminals have no gates, just baggage claim & check-in service). If you are an international arrival, pay attention to item 5 of 'Getting Around'.

  • Connecting flight from Maui to PG

We're arriving from Maui into the Main Terminal at 7:15 a.m. Not sure if we'd have time to make an 8:30 a.m. flight to Prince George?

Vancouver Airport's International & Domestic Terminals are connected on level 2 in their unsecured areas, where you go through US Arrivals procedure: "If your flight originated outside of Canada or the US & you need to connect to a Canada destination, clear Canadian Customs. Do pick up your baggage immediately after passing Customs, which you then take to the connecting flight counter. Thereafter follow normal Canadian departures procedures & pass through security checkpoint A, and proceed to the west gates (A1-5 & B11-22). Your transfer time should be adequate.

I will be traveling .on Alitalia from LAX to FCO and then a connecting flight on the same airline to Naples. I have one hour for transfer. Is that enough time

At FCO you will arrive at T3 and depart from T1. ( FCO's Terminals 1 & 2 are joined and share the Arrivals level; between Terminals 2 & 3 is the air control tower.) After going through passport check and customs clearance, then look for the sign to "Boarding Area B" (gates B1-B30). You have sufficient time.
