  • Arrival and Departure Terminal info???
    Jul 11, 2012

My cousin from Spain is arriving on US Airways from Madrid at CLT and departing for Montreal (also on US Airways) - with about an hour and 15 minute connection time. Can you comment what terminal he will arrive at, and from which he will depart? I've seen other comments about passport check area, picking up and rechecking bags... Just want to provide him as much information as possible before he leaves. (I'm assuming Spanish speaking agents are not a problem??)

At CLT US Airways serves in Concourses B, C, D and US Airways Express serves in Concourse E. CLT hs only one terminal and all Concourses surround the terminal inside security. However, as an international arrival your cousin needs to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance, and then proceed to his connecting gate. His ticket and the overhead screens on his arrival will indicate Concourses and gates. Transfer time should be sufficient.

Thanks so much - appreciate the response!!!

  • Walking between terminals

We are arriving at term 5 and need to go to term 3 for departure 3hrs later, should we walk or take the airport shuttle. Assuming a 1.5 to 2 delay through customs , leaves us approx 1 hr to make next internal flight.

    1. If traveling on two different airlines, make sure that your first airlines transfers bags to your connecting flight - if not, you would have to take your bag along to Terminal 3 and check it in with your connecting airline. 2. On arrival, you need to go through passport check, pick up bag, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bag (if airline transfers bags). At most that should take you an hour. You have plenty of time to eat and/or shop before proceeding from T5 to T3. You have the option of walking or taking the bus - either way you need to go through security at T3 before proceeding to your gate. (a) walking: T3 is on the other side of the parking structures, which you would have to pass - I suggest you take the bus: LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island (in front of each terminal), under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', runs every 12-15 mins. - your next stops will be T6, T7, T8, T1, T2 & T3 - 6 stops or 15 mins.

Where is ORD's Westjet check-in in terminal 3?

Check-in counters at ORD, Terminal 3, are on the Upper Level leading to Concourse L to the left, the Y-shaped gateway to Concourses K & H in the center and to the Rotunda (leading to T2) and Concourse G to the left.

  • Poor Editing of ATL Directions

Would someone please edit the ATL Directions/Instructions. It is NOT "Plain Train", rather PLANE Train. How sad and embarassing. Next time, pay someone who knows how to use their brain and not spell check.

Creating a new version of the Atlanta Airport contents after the addition of the new International Terminal took great effort and care, to make sure we give the reader a comprehensive guide. Indeed there are many references to the Plane train, only one of which was misspelled & not noticed - considering the volume of the new input, we are proud of our work - it is sad that you have nothing better to do - shame on you!

what help is there for wheelchair passengers?

It is suggested that you contact your airline 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure that you will need a wheelchair. Also note that travelers with disabilities or medical conditions - or their families or caregivers - can get answers regarding TSA security checkpoint procedures by calling 1-855-787-2227 or by visiting tsa.gov.

Arriving at Terminal 4 and will be picking up rental car at Advantage Rent A Car. Is there ground transportation from T-4 to Advantage?

    Contact Advantage at (602) 252-4935 (or 800-777-5500).

  • what terminal do I need?

I am flying out of JFK to ANC on 7/13/12 using Alaska Airlines - what terminal should I be at?

Without a flight number I am unable to give you that information. Also, the JFK airline listing by terminals does not include Alaska Airline. JFK has Terminals 1 through 8, arranged in a circle. Your ticket should indicate the Terminal, i.e., T1, T8, etc.

  • 45 minute layover
    Jul 7, 2012

We are flying from Calgary to Houston then on to Orlando and have a 45 minute layover in Houston. Both flights are with United and we go through customs in Calgary so no further security checks in Houston. Is 45 minutes enough time to go from Gate E to Gate C? Thank you very much. Cory

Sorry....meant arrive terminal E and have to get to terminal C within 45 minutes not gate.

Calgary Airport is one of Canada's Airport with U.S. Customs Clearance and US Transfer Baggage. On arrival at IAH, take the above-ground TerminaLink train connecting all terminals inside security. You have enough time.

Arriving Term 1 gate C5 on Sunday, Leaving 60 minutes later from Term 2 gate F5. Do I have sufficient time??

At ORD, you have two choices to get from T1 to T2: you can walk from C gates, passing B gates and taking connector to F gates; or you can take the pedestrian tunnel connecting both terminals, in which case you need to go through security again. Either way you have enough time.

Do you have a decent map to get to Delta terminal A, arrivals to pickup a passenger?

    1. If you need to pick up a passenger at the Airport, use the Cell Phone Lot ('Passenger Pickup Lot')--stay with your vehicle until your party has gathered luggage and calls you to be picked up at the curb. To access the lot, whether you're approaching the airport using John F. Kennedy Boulevard or Will Clayton Parkway, just follow the purple signs to the entrance. 2. Open www.ifly.com/iah and click on "Airport Parking" map under QUICK LINKS - scroll down for details.

  • Transfer from internat. to terminal 1
    Jul 6, 2012

We only have 50 minutes to transfer and we are travelling with kids, please advise how to get from international terminal flight Delta 9381 from SFO to terminal 1 for delta 9602 flight

    1. My SFO search for both flights for today & tomorrow did not come up with your flight numbers. 2. As an international arrival at SFO, you need to go through passport check, pick up your bags, go through customs clearance and then re-check-in your bags. This may take 40-55 mins, particularly in summer. Thereafter, you can proceed to Terminal 1 (B gates 20-36), but need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. The Red Line of the AirTrain connects all terminals. I am not confident that 50 mins is enough time for you and the kids to transfer. It does not leave any time for possible flight delay, let alone transfer to T1.

  • arriving from dfw to bey 1 hour in betwe

as a us arriving from dfw and leaving in 1 hour to bey is that enogh time

Since you do not state the airlines you arrive at and depart from, which may require you to change terminals and/or Concourses, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/fra and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS. Scroll down to text which gives you all the needed details. As a non-Schengen (countries not adhering to Schengen Agreement) you will have to go through FRA's immigration & customs clearance. Considering that it is peak travel season, one hour seems to be a very short time slot.
