  • 1 hr connection time - enough?
    Jan 22, 2013
    2
We will be arriving on American Eagle flight from Madison, WI with 1 hr connection to American flight to London Heathrow. I've been tracking these flights and they both are in Terminal 3. Will we have enough time to make this flight? I'm assuming we don't have to go thru security like other international flights leaving terminal 5.

American Eagle uses Terminal 3 ; American Airlines uses T3 for all domestic flights & international departures (and T5 for international arrivals). You arrive at and depart from T3. Your bags will automatically be transferred to your departing flight. On arrival follow signs to your connecting Concourse & gate: G1A-G21 or G13-G15 (on lower level); H1-H18; K1-K20 or L1-L10. Your boarding pass and the overhead screens will indicate flight & gate numbers. You have sufficient time.

1 Hour is enough time to make the connection as it's a very simple one all within Terminal 3.

  • Arr fromSydney/Dept to Cancun

Hi Team, I'm landing from Sydney at 13.45pm and want to depart at 16.25 to Cancun. Couple of questions: A - Is 2.40hr enough time to clear customs (International flight), collect bags and check-in (International flight)? and B - How long would it take between landing Term D (Qantas) and leaving from Term A (AA)? Your answers are appreciated.

On arrival a DFW, at Terminal D, you need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bag where indicated. (Qantas & AA both belong to the OneWorld Alliance - your bags will then automatically be transferred to your AA flight). To get to Terminal A, take the free 'Terminal Link' blue & green accessible vans transfer passengers outside the baggage claim of each terminal, running every 10 minutes, 5am-midnight Nearest pick-up/drop-off areas at corresponding terminals are at gate D24 and between gates: A15-16 & A25-26. You have plenty of time.

    Thanks Tujan.... this is helpfull

is 2 hrs and 5 minutes enough to get through customes on American from Costa Rica

  • cost of Airtrain
    Jan 22, 2013

Is the air train a free service or is there a ticket to be purchased ?

I think you have to purchase ticket.

Recently the train serving solely JFK's terminals and making a continuous loop, was renamed 'Airline Terminal Train' to distinguish it from the Airtrain which runs from two separate routes of New York to JFK, stopping at JFK at each terminal (free within the airport). Each terminal stop connects to between Airtrain & Airline Terminal Train. Tickets can be purchase for the Airtrain at the arrivals level, transportation counter.

I will be arriving from Tokyo on United via ANA at 9:50 am Then go to Phoenix on us airways at 11;25. Do i have enough time?

At SEA, international passengers arrive at the South Satellite (whether changing planes or ending their trip at Sea-Tac) and, if transferring to another flight, go through immigration clearance, pick up checked luggage, & continue to customs (taking 30-60 minutes). For domestic flight connection, you must recheck your luggage and go through TSA security screening prior to proceeding to your connecting flight. To get to Concourse A take the escalator up to the Main Terminal, proceed to the departures level, go through security check and on to Concourse A (gates A1-14.) You have enough time.

  • Same Terminal (5) but very short layover
    Jan 22, 2013

I am arriving departing both through Terminal 5 (connecting Jet Blue to Hawaiian there, and Hawaiian to Jet Blue on the return). On the return trip however I only have 35 minutes of a layover! I originally thought this would not be a problem what so ever as they are the same terminal and hence *assumed* I wouldn't have to go through security. Looking at the map however it seems as though I may still have to...is 35 min enough time? If I miss it the next flight is not for another 9 hours :(

As Terminal 5 of JFK Airport only has gates 1 to 25, your 35 min layover time should suffice; provided that your plane is on time.

  • from Toronto to Philadelpia to Dublin

My daughter and I are flying from Toronto to Philadelpia and then onto Dublin Ireland at the end of Feb. What do we do when the plane lands and do we get our luggage or does it alreadt get transfered. I have never had a connecting flight before

Toronto Pierson has US customs clearance, saving time on arrival at PHL. Arrival & departure from PHL depends on the airlines she is taking. Before departure, she needs to make sure that her airlines will transfer bags to end destination - if not, she needs to pick up her bags at PHL and check it in with connecting airline before proceeding to connecting flight. I suggest she opens www.ifly.com/phl then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • Walking time from Term C to E ?
    Jan 21, 2013

We have about 55 minutes between flights, is this enough time? Thanks

At IAH, you arrive at TC (gates C29 to C45) - walk towards Gates C14-24 and proceed straight on to TE, which has gates E1-11 and E12-24 on opposite sides. You have enough time.

Good day, I will be flying to London on the 28/02/2013 on flight LH 573 from Johannesburg. Do I need to collect my luggage or will Lufthansa automatically transfer to London on my connecting flight

  • connecting international/international

We will arrive on UA 1015 from Cancun/CUN to IAH Terminal E at 14:41 and have to connect LH 441 deparing IAH at 16:10 from Terminal D. Pls help me and describe connection between terminals E and D and procedures that we have to pass through. As travelling with 2 young children, we are a bit nervous about connecting. Thank you in advance for info.

At IAH your United flight arrives at Terminal E, where you proceed to the International Arrivals (follow signs); there you need to go through customs & take the escalator down to Baggage Claim Level 1. From there, go through Exit Control and enter to the right the baggage recheck area, then walk straight out arriving at the International Arrivals Lobby, where you take the escalator down to the Inter-Terminal Train to Terminal D (or simply walk through the tunnel to TD). (UA will transfer bags to LH). You have enough time.

  • How to go to Termial C from Terminal B

How to go to terminal C from terminal B at AIH airport?

At IAH, the above-ground TerminaLink train starts its service at the Terminal A station, and connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security

I've got the same connection (terminal C to terminal B) and I have 40 minutes. Is that enough time to make it?

  • Domestic to International Transfer
    Jan 21, 2013

I am about to book flights from IAD onto to Melbourne, Australia via SFO and Auckland, New Zealand. I will be flying United domestically, then onward on Air New Zealand for my international flights. My connection time is only 91 minutes; it looks like I will arrive in Terminal 3 and depart from Terminal G. From what I am reading, it sounds like this connection time might be doable, but I know situations in airports often change. Can someone tell me if this is a feasible connection? I usually connect through LAX when I fly to AU/NZ, but right now flying through SFO is cheaper at the moment. Thanks.

You will arrive via United at SF at Terminal 3 and depart via Air New Zealand at the International terminal. Your bags will be automatically transferred as both airlines belong to the Star Alliance. Domestic passengers transferring from T3 to the International Terminal may transfer via a connector walkway (located post-secuirty near gate 75) to the International Terminal's Boarding Area G arriving at post-security near gate G92. Also, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/sfo then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • Where to meet?
    Jan 21, 2013

Is there a place in T1 to meet a passenger for coffee who has a 1 1/2 hr connection?

At LAS, it is best to meet your party in the Arrivals Hall, near the information counter, then proceed to the Lobby which has plenty of food & drink options.

  • AA connection?

I will be landing in T8 with American Airlines and will have 50 minutes to get to T4. Is that enough time? Or am I better off to pay the extra money to get another flight that allows for more time during the layover?

That depends on whether you are an international or a domestic arrival. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/jfk, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.
