  • Time for connection B-C a lot of baggage
    Mar 19, 2013
    1
Hi, How long should take connection from B to C. Arriving from Europe with a lot of baggage and infant on hands Wednesday 2pm April. Thanks

If using different airlines, make sure your first airline will transfer your bags to the second one. As an international arrival, you will need to go through passport check, pick up bags (use the baggage carts there) and go through customs clearance. If airline transfers your bags, simply re-check them in where indicated; you have 2 options: Enlist the help of a Skycap in that area to get you to TC, or take your baggage cart and exit the terminal; then take a taxi to TC (an elevated train runs from terminal to terminal in the unsecured area, but you can't take the cart on it).

  • gate b11 to f8 transfer time

is it possible to do gate b11 to gate f8 inside 40 minutes i land at 22.05 dl1850 and depart at 22.45 dl10 ?

It's possible, you just have to take the plane train between concourses. However, if your first flight is late you'll probably end up spending the night in Atlanta.

  • Time needed from South Terminal E to A
    Mar 18, 2013

I'm going to be arriving South Terminal E & departing South Terminal A with a 1 hr 14 min connect time. What is the fastest I can connect & how do I get from E to A? I've never been thru ATL before. Thanks!

You just take the plane train between concourses. It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes. ATL, while very large, has a very simple layout.

Thank you very much! I appreciate it!

  • United flight 43 minute connection

We have a flight that arrives at IAH at 9:33 am (United) and leaves at 10:16 am for Roatan, Honduras. Is that enough time?

That's very tight, but doable. Your Roatan flight will likely depart from Terminal E. If you arrive into Terminal A or B, take the TerminaLink train between terminals.

    Thank you for your response

I will be ariving treminal 1 on Emirates airline at 1:05 PM from Australia. I need to get to the domestic terminal to meet a friend and catch van to Hotel. How long will it take me and how do I get to the domestic terminal.

You will arrive at SFO's International Terminal (TI), where you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance, and thereafter, with bags in tow, take the Red-line of the AirTrain (an automated people mover) to one of the two currently operating Terminals 1 or 2. Estimated time Arrival to Domestic Terminal: 1 hr to 1hr 15 mins. For more airport information open I suggest you open www.ifly.com/sfo then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

  • connection from united to alitalia

Arriving fco 7:45 a.m. from newark, nj. trying to catch a 9:20 alitalia flight to venice. i know it will be close, but is it possible? worst case scenario, i pay the change fee and take a flight 4 hrs. later. how best to navigate thru customs, etc? any help you can give, greatly appreciated! (we are on a wed. in july) thanks!

If your tickets are bought on the same reservation you probably won't have to pay a change fee if you miss your connection. However, I think you will be able to make it.

Bought on separate reservation. each directly thru united and alitalia, respectively. do you know which terminal is customs and baggage pickup?

You will arrive in terminal 3, even though United flights depart from Terminal 5. This website does a good job covering it - http://www.roninrome.com/transportation/where-to-meet-at-fco You will then have to walk to Terminal 1 for your Alitalia flight.

thanks so much. also, i called united. they can check our bags thru to venice, but we still have to go thru customs. it's all good!

  • GETTING FROM TERMINAL 3 TO TERMINAL 5
    Mar 18, 2013

I will arrive at O'Hare tomorrow at 3:20 p.m. on American Eagle (terminal 3?). I need to catch a flight on Aer Lingus at 7:15 (Terminal 5?). How do I get from one terminal to the other? Will there be enough time to accomplish this? Do I need to recheck my bag?

Were your tickets bought on the same reservation? If so, then American should be able to transfer your bag to Aer Lingus. Otherwise you will have to claim it in T3 and take it to T5. To get from T3 to T5, you exit security, walk through the ticketing level, and across a pedestrian bridge to the ATS train, then take the train from T3 to T5, where you will get your Aer Lingus boarding pass (if you don't already have one) and go back through security. You have plenty of time, as that should only take an hour or so.

I am flying from Indianapolis to Houston, TX then to Vancouver with United airline. I will leave Indy at 6:30am, arrive in Houston at 8:03am, I have one hour to connect to the flight to Vancouver. Will I have enough time? Do I need to go thru custom in IAH? What is the best way to do? I will be 33 weeks pregnant and taking my 6-year-old son.

Yes, you have enough time. You do not go through customs at IAH, you will go through Canadian immigration in Vancouver. Your flight from IND will likely arrive in Terminal B (although it could arrive in A) and your YVR flight will likely depart from Terminal C. You just have to take the TerminaLink one station if you arrive in B and 2 stations if you arrive in A.

I will be arriving to Chicago from St Louis at 07.55.pm (April 8th) then leaving from Chicago to Munich, Germany at 08.50pm. As my baggage will be checked-in at STL for final destination, I am interested whether I'll arrive and need to leave from the same terminal (2) and will these 55 mins I have at disposal are doable. Thanks in advance.

Your Munich flight will depart from Terminal 1 and you will probably arrive in Terminal 2. You can walk between these gates without having to go through security again. It takes about 20 minutes worst case to walk between T1 and T2.

  • Changing from terminal 4 to Tom Bradley

I will be going from terminal 4 to International next week. Do I have to exit the terminal and go through security again once at International terminal? Typically, how long does it take including walking there (I have 1 hour 15 min connection time).

Yes, you will have to exit the terminal and go back through security. If your first airline will not transfer your bag to your second airline I don't think you'll have enough time. Even as it is, it is a very tight connection.

Hi, we are flying from the UK to Las Vegas for four nights, we then fly from Vegas to Dallas wth 1hr 45 mins until we fly on to Cancun. Will we need to get our baggage between flights or is this done for us? Thank you

You will not have to claim your baggage in Dallas - you only have to go to the gate for your flight to Cancun.

  • Connection procedure & timing

Arriving T1 9.35am from Amsterdam. Depart Aegean Air for Athens 11.00am T3 on separate ticket with cabin luggage only. I will have a printed boarding pass. Can I check in at gate or do I have to go to regular check in counters? Is there a fast track check in counter? Will I make it? Thanks

All you need to do on arrival at FCO is follow signs to 'Boarding Area' (gates B through H). T3 has Boarding Are with gates D1-10 & 6-19. (All Boarding areas B through H are inter-connected.

Thanks momar13. Forgot to say that I have Aegean Air app on my phone, so I can do a web check in. Where would I find a convenient kiosk in T3 to print out my boarding pass? Or do you think I'd be better to check in via a computer & have the printed document - in case I can't find a kiosk? Thanks again.

  • 40 mins Connection Terminal A to C
    Mar 17, 2013
    2
I have two small children and I'm connecting between Terminals A and C with a 40 min connection. Should I be concerned??

I should mention...I'm coming in from Tulsa and ddeparting to Orlando

On arrival at IAH, Terminal A, look for signs for the above-ground TerminaLink train which runs continuously between the terminals inside security. On arrival at TC, the TerminaLink train station and splits shortly thereafter into the gateway to gates C24 to C27, to the right, gateway to gates C14 to C23 in the center, and C2 to C14 to the left. You make it easily within 40 mins.

my iternany says i land at terminal s and get on another plane at treminal i. these terminals don't show up on a terminal map. where are they?

Indeed that is confusing. North & South 'Terminals' are part of the Domestic Terminal, located at either side of the Atrium. They only function as baggage claim and check-in/ticketing and have no gates. Currently Alaska & Delta use the South Terminal. (open map: http://www.atlanta-airport.com/docs/terminal/mt.pdf ). Delta uses Concourses A, C, D, E, F with corresponding gates; Alaska uses B, D, D & E gates. All Concourses - domestic & international - are connected by the underground 'Plane Train' stopping at the center of each Concourse. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/lax, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

Is there time to get from an aer lingus flight from Dublin arriving at terminal e at 5 pm to get to a domestic flight on Virgin America in terminal b. carry on luggage only

You did not state your departure time. However, presuming that you used the U.S. Customs pre-clearance at Dublin Airport, you can immediately exit Terminal E and head for Terminal B. Connected to TE, to the east, are TC & TB. There are no post-security transfers; however, you can use the walkways between terminals, but need to go through security check at TB.
