Where is the best place for us to meet each other when three of our group arrive on Frontier (Terminal 1) and two on United (Terminal 3) and one on Southwest (? Terminal)?? All will have checked luggage. Arrival times are very close together (early afternoon).

As one member of your group arrives via Southwest at the international terminal - where he/she needs to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs first, I suggest you all meet up at the baggage claim level - close to the information counter. To get there, the red-line of the AirTrain (an automated people mover) serves all terminals & the garage, making a continuous loop taking only minutes between stops (baggage carts have hand brakes and can be taken onto the AirTrain); however, you can also walk to your connecting terminal: walking around the entire terminal loop would take 25 minutes.

I will be arriving at DFW on an international flight from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I know that I have to first clear immigration and customs upon deplaning. My question: I will be connecting with a flight operated by American Eagle. It's my understanding that both my arriving flight and my connecting flight will arrive at / depart from Terminal D. Is that correct? Will American transfer my checked bags to American Eagle after I clear Customs? (I am a US citizen living in Mexico).

    1. All international arrivals, including US citizens, (other than those cleared at some Canadian, Irish, and Caribbean airports with US Customs clearance) need to go through passport control, pick up bags, go through customs clearance, and if continuing flight, re-check-in bags before proceeding to connecting flight. 2. Your American Eagle flight will arrive at the International Terminal TD and depart from the domestic Terminal TB. After customs clearance, exit TD and walk to TB, where you need to go through security check and on to your gate (overhead screens will indicate gate number). Count on an hour transfer time.

arrive terminal 2, depart terminal 4, united to usairways in 1 hour. can i make it. thanks

On arrival at T2 of PHX Airport you need to exit the terminal and catch the shuttle bus at the curb to T4 where you need to go through security checkpoint A for US Airways gates A1-A14 & A17-A30; or through security checkpoint B for US Airways gates B1-B14 - the overhead screens will indicate your gate number. No time to waste!

arrive from manchester england at13.50.terminal a , depart 15.25 terminal b to charlotte.then on to fort myers , all on us airways . will i have timeand do my bags get transfered by the airport

You will arrive at PHL Airport at Terminal A West, which houses an International Arrivals Hall and a Customs hall connected to TA-West Ticketing on one end, and Concourse A-East on the other (your connecting part of Terminal A). On arrival you go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance, then re-check-in bags where indicated. Then proceed to TA-East which has gates A1-13. On arrival at CLT Airport US Airways uses Terminals B, C, D & E - look at overhead screens to find your connecting terminal & gate. (for more information open www.ifly.com/clt and click on "Terminal Map under QUICK LINKS, scroll down to the detailed text for connections and terminal info.

  • From Terminal 2E to TGV train station

What is the best way to get to TGV train station from terminal 2E? How long does it take? Can we purchase train ticket to Marseille at the TGV train station? Thanks

At CDG - under the common area of Terminal 2, linking halls 2C through 2F is Terminal 2's only RER & TGV railroad station. Regarding train tickets, I suggest you pass by an information counter in the baggage claim area. (TGV into central Paris takes about 45 mins.).

thank you very much for your prompt response

  • From terminal 2A to terminal 2E

I arrive early in Terminal 2A and need to meet up with friends arriving in 2E 2 hours later. My questions are: 1) is it walking distance from 2A to 2E; 2) if not, is there afree train/shuttle from 2A to 2E; 3) do I need to go through custom in 2A upon arrival before I go to 2E; 4) once I go through custom, can I still go to 2E; 5) any recomendation as a visible meeting place in 2E? Thanks

At CDG Terminal 2 has satellites 2B, 2D & 2F on one side of the driveway and 2A, 2C & 2E on the opposite side. On arrival at 2A, you go through non-Schengen (foreign) procedure, then exit the terminal and walk over to 2E. If you know your friends' flight number meet them at the baggage carousel of their airline. On return to TA, you need to go through security check before continuing to your connecting gate (T2E has L & K gates).

thank you very much for your prompt response

I will arrive from Cleveland UA1044 18.25 on 6th Oct and need to connect with UA36 20.05 to Edinburgh. Believe they arrive at the same Terminal C. Can you tell me exactly waht I need to do re bag transfer etc in order to make the connection. Thanks

When checking in at Cleveland, make sure that your bags have all three airport codes on their tags; since you use the same airline that should suffice, as UA will transfer bags to connecting flights. However, UA uses for some domestic flights also Terminal A, in which case you would have to take the elevated Airtrain (signs will guide you) from TA to TC, then go through security check and on to your gate. In both instances you have enough time.

  • Getting checked bags in same terminal

I will be flying in from Buffalo via Jetblue and will get on another flight via TAM 6 hours later. Will I be able to check in right away? Also, once I get my luggage in the same terminal, will I need to go through security again i the same terminal?

Assuming JetBlue does not transfer your bags to TAM (check first), you should get your bags on arrival and check them in with TAM, also make sure you have your boarding pass. Jet Blue uses both Terminals 4 & 5 - TAM is in Terminal 4 - you can walk over or use the AirTrain, in both instances you will have to go through security at T4, if not arriving at T4, which has Concourse A gates A2-7, and Concourse B gates B20-30..

  • Hawaiian to southwest

I am arriving in Las Vegas via Hawaiian Airlines, connecting to southwest to go to Reno, Nevada. Does Southwest handle baggage? How do I get to Southwest? Thank you

Your first order of business is to find out if Hawaiian Airlines transfers bags to your connecting Southwest flight - if not, you need to claim your bag on arrival at Terminal 3 (Hawaiian) and check it in at your connecting Terminal 1 (Southwest is using both Concourse B & C - look at overhead screens on arrival to find your connecting flight number & gate). You need to take the shuttle bus outside the baggage claim area to get to Terminal 1, there you need to go through security and on to your connecting gate.

IS 30 MIN LONG ENOUGH TO CHANGE PLANES ON DELTA FLIGHT?

While Delta uses the McNamara Terminal, I cannot tell you which gate you arrive at or depart from (A,B, or C gates). Concourse A of McNamara has 1.5 miles of moving walkways, but also uses the Express Tram serving 3 stations - the South station near gate A11, the Terminal station in the center near the water feature, and the North station near gate A67. Concourse B, gates B1-21, (left) and Concourse C, gates 1-43 (right) can only be reached from Concourse A, at its center, by using the tunnel. Note: C gates C1-C7 are on the lower level, reached in the center of B/C via escalator. Half an hour would suffice - however, if you are an international arrival and need to go through customs clearance, you would not make it.

  • From Terminal3 to international Terminal
    Sep 24, 2012

I'm a mom traveling with a baby and will have less than one hour to get from terminal3 to the international terminal. Will it be enough time? What is the shortest way? I will be flying back to Europe with Lufthansa. Do you know their usual gates? If I got it right I won't have to go through security check? Thank you for your answer.

    1. At SFO Airport, domestic passengers transferring from T3 to the International Terminal may transfer via a connector walkway (located post-securiy near gate 75) to the International Terminal's Boarding Area G arriving at post-security near gate G92. If they have not yet checked in for their connecting flight, they need to stop by at their airline counter in the Main Hall and then take either the AirTrain or walk to the International Terminal, where they need to go through security check before proceeding to their connecting gate. 2. The International Terminal has boarding areas A (gates 1-12) and G (gates 91-102) on either side of the two-level Main Hall. 3. On arrival there, look at overhead screens to find your flight & gate number, then follow signs. Note that you can bring a collapsible stroller onboard the aircraft, plus a baby bag (in addition to your carry-on bag. IMPORTANT Make sure your first airline will transfer bags to Lufthansa flight - if not, you would have to check them in at the International Terminal first, before proceeding to your gate. You have enough time - but do not hesitate to ask for assistance of any airline or AP personnel.

  • Are there public phones in Terminal 8?

I will need my kid to call me when she gets there...

Public phones are in each of the terminals, in the baggage claim area and Arrivals Halls.

  • Transfer between Terminal1 and Terminal2
    Sep 22, 2012

Hello... I arrive from Toronto on Air Canada to Terminal 1 at around noon and my connecting to Colombo with Srilankan is in Terminal 2.. I have about 2.5 hours to do the transfer... Is it enough?

At FRA Airport T1 & T2 are next to each other and are connected by the SkyLine monorail and by shuttle buses. The SkyLine trains leave every 2-3 minutes, stopping at T1's Concourses A & B continuing to T2 between Concourses D & E. The Arrivals Level 1 for both terminals has a shuttle bus stop outside at left, to Terminal 2's D gates, departing every 10 minutes. As you will have to go through non-Schengen immigration procedure on arrival, you will probably need to take the post-security shuttle bus. Eiter way, you have enough time.

  • flight connection at LAX

I only have a one hour layover between flights from SLC and to Sydney. The SLC flight normally comes into Terminal 5 and the flight to Sydney takes off from Gate 53. I can't seem to locate Gate 53. Does anyone know if I should be able to make the conncection on time?? Thanks!!

At LAX Airport, Terminal 5 with gates 50-69 serves Delta and Virgin Australia - all you need to do is switch over to your connecting gate 53.
