We are flying from philadelphia to phoenix with a 55 min layover and then to lihue, it is all on US airways. Does anyone know if we will have enough time to catch 2nd flight....

At PHX, US Airways operates out off Terminal 4, which has at levl 3 Security checkpoints A, B C & D, leading to corresponding gates (i.e., gate A14, B22). Moving walkways connect all gateways. Look at your ticket and on arrival at overhead screens to find your gate number and time of departure. You have enough time.

I have 35 min to change airplane , my Flight 533 from Reno NV, next flight #1446 To Orlando. How long wil take to get from Gate B24 to Gate A4B???

When arriving at Midway Airport at gate B24, walk toward the 'Midway Blvd' - a triangle with three concourses at each end: enter Concourse A and walk to your gate A48. Hurry!

What is the fastest way to get from Concourse G to Concourse C?

The Lindbergh T1 terminal has a connector walkway between Concourses G & C.

What is the fastest way to get from Terminal 2e to 2F? The last time I was at CDG, you had to walk outside on a sidewalk with your luggage to change terminals. Has it improved?

At de Gaulle Airport, Terminal 2E has gates L21-L53 and K21-K54; Terminal 2F has gates F24-56. Terminals E & F are on opposite sides of the driveway - a shuttle bus outside runs between them. (this may be the faster way, though you need to go through security check again). The light-rail shuttle called CDGVAL makes its round among all terminals & parking areas.

I have a friend coming into JFK on Delta in T3, and leaving for Washington on Jetblue out of T5. What is the easiest and quickest way to get between these terminals as he has never been to the states and will be nervous already.

oh, and will he have to go through security again?

On arrival at JFK your friend needs to exit Terminal 3, follow signs and board the Airtrain, getting off at Terminal 5. The train runs every 8 mins on average and takes only minutes. The station at T3 is outside domestic arrivals. Yes he needs to go through security check at T5.

Coming in on Delta from Grand Rapids Mich to Us Airway and on to Israel through Philly. How long will it take me to find the US Air gate

At ORD, both Delta & US Airways use Terminal 2 with has Concourses E & F: Concourse E has gates E1A-E15; Concourse F has gates F1-F14, and on lower level gates F11A, B & C. Look at overhead screens on arrival at ORD to find your connecting gate; then follow signs.

what concourse will i be flying into/out of ?? i only have an hour and im not an experienced flyer so this kinda confuses me. just want to prepare before my flight.

Arrival & departures at DEN depends very much on which airline you use. The Main Terminal has three parallel buildings which are called Concourses A, B & C and which are served by an underground AGTS train stopping at their center & taking 5 mins between stops. Concourse A (AirTran, American, Lufthansa, Frontier, Great Lakes, British Aiways, JetBlue, Air Canada, Aeromexico, Alaska) has gates A24-39 at west, A40-68 at east; Concourse B (United, US Airways) has gates B15-37 at west and B38-61 at east, branching into gates B62-79 & B80-95. Concourse C (Southwest, Delta) has gates C28-39 at west and C40-50 at east. Your ticket should indicate gate number; also on arrival at Denver Airport check the overhead screens for your Airline flight number, gate and departure time.

I had a similar question and your answer helped. THANK YOU :) My situation is, flying in from Wichita KS (Frontier) going to Phoenix AZ

  • flying in and leaving same terminal

flying into terminal 7, have to pick up a pet, then check back in at terminal 7 again about 2 hours later to return home. Can I leave terminal 7, pick up pet on ground level right there, then just check in at upper level?

When picking up your dog inquire where to re-check him in. In between, you may want to take dog to pet relieve area prior to re-checkin. Note that the dog must stay in kennel inside terminal). After you re-checked in your dog, you need to go through security check again. This applies only if you arrive and depart from the same terminal.

  • ABQ to HNL through DFW

Need some help please. I am going to HNL from ABQ and the best flight for me has a 40 minute time frame to transfer from terminal "C" to terminal "D".. Generally speaking, is that enough time to go between terminals?

Yes you have enough time to transfer at DFW from Terminal C to Terminal D: Due to the long concourses and the distance between the terminals, the elevated 'Skylink' train starts in the International Terminal D at several points and then connects to the other terminals in their gateway center: Station escalator/ elevator locations for the Skylink: at TC between both C8-C12 & C27-C32; at TD between both D11-20 & D24-34. The Skylink runs every 2 minutes and takes an average of five minutes.

I am flying into Seattle from Oakland via Alaska Air, and will be transferring to Icelandair. Will I have to retrieve my checked luggage and go through security again?

At SEA (as at all US International airports) only international arrivals need to go through passport check, customs clearance & (if continuing journey) baggage re-check-in. Alaska uses Satellite North and Concourses C & D, while Icelandair uses the South Satellite. Look at your ticket to see which gate you arrive/depart from. Concourses C & D have C & D gates; Satellites North & South have N & S gates. Use overhead signs to find your transfer.

Sorry but I am unclear. Will my checked bags be automatically checked through to Icelandair from my domestic flight arriving in Seattle? Or will I have to retrieve the bags and check them through myself?

  • Terminal 3 with children

I will be laying over in Terminal 3 for a couple of hours. Are there any play facilities for small (2 yo) children?

While JFK's maps do not show ply areas, JFK has just installed a 'virtual avatar'kiosk - with the likeness of a real person, providing airport information. This is in addition to the Welcome Center staffed by live persons - both are in the Arrivals area. Note that TSA expand family lanes to all security checkpoints within the U.S., which will enable families, as well as travelers unfamiliar with travel procedures or with special needs, to make it through security at their own pace.

I'm flying into Denver from Chicago on Saturday and have only 90 minutes to make a connecting flight to Aspen (United Airlines). Please can you advise me on the quickest way to get through a domestic connection? Is there anything I can do before hand to make it faster (I will check in on line before hand)

Presuming you arrive at & depart from Denver via United Airlines, you would only have to transfer within the same Concourse of the Jeppesen Terminal, which is Concourse B, with its gates B15-37 at west and B38-61 at east, branching into gates B62-79 & B80-95. Your ticket and the overhead screen on arrival at DEN will indicate your transfer gate to Aspen. You have enough time.

  • Enough time?

We are arriving at 9:45 am from SFO on United Airlines and connecting to Rome (FCO) at 10:45 am on Lufthansa. 1) Does this allow sufficient time? 2) Do we go through customs at FRA? 3) How do we get from arrival to departure? Thanks

At Frankfurt Airport, you will arrive & depart from the same Terminal 1, however, United uses Concourse B with B gates, while Lufthansa uses Concourse (or Pier) A gates. The SkyLine train runs between those two concourses/piers; you can also use the transfer terminal. Note, however, that as a non-Schengen or foreign traveler, you need to go through passport control & customs clearance prior to connecting to your departure gate. Time is tight. hurry!

  • US to Int'l Transfer
    May 31, 2012

I'm flying from the US with a transfer to an Int'l flight to Europe (United to AirCanada). Do I just go from one gate to the next in the Int'l terminal or do I need to clear customs with baggage?

    1. You arrive at YVR via United at the International Terminal, Concourse E (E gates) and will depart via AirCanada from the Domestic Terminal, Concourse C (C gates). 2. Both terminals are connected. 3. Passengers arriving from the United States: Upon arrival at Vancouver Airport, you go through Canadian Customs and check the illuminated display panels for your assigned carousel number, then proceed to the baggage claim area where you find baggage trolleys. Your airline representative can, at your request, also call for a porter. Before proceeding to the public hall, present your customs declaration card to CBSA border services, where you might be directed for further manual inspection or search, if deemed necessary. 4. Thereafter simply follow signs to your connecting C gate.
