  • North and McNamara Terminals

Isn't there an underground walkway between the terminals? I have relatives flying in and arriving at the seperate terminals within an hour of each.

No, there is no underground walkway between North and McNamara. The underground walkway you're thinking of goes between the A and B/C concourses of the McNamara terminal. The North and McNamara terminals are over a mile apart.

    thank you for the response.

A shuttle bus runs every 10 mins between the two terminals, makes a stop at the Westin Hotel - a total of 9-10 mins.

I'm flying into DEN on SWA and transferring to Icelandair with a 2:40 layover. I'm not checking any baggage. Will I have to go through security again?

No, you can take the underground train between concourses (C to A) without going through security.

  • Halifax Stanfield International airport (YHZ) -- Washington (IAD)

I fly into Washington IAD at 11:04 AM. My layover is only 1 hr, 16 mins before departing to Tokyo. Is this enough time? Does anyone have any knowledge of what terminal my Tokyo flight is likely to be at? Can someone give a brief walk-through of what I will need to do coming off my flight and catching the next one?

You will arrive in D. If your flight to Tokyo is on United it will depart from C or D, which is connected and if it is on B, which you can take the mobile lounge or aerotrain to. You should have enough time.

The flight to tokyo is with All Nippon Airways. You mention the aerotrain but the airport website states that international flight passengers are not able to use the aerotrain...Its good to here I will have time though!

You aren't coming on a true international flight - you preclear US immigration in Halifax, so your arrival in Washington DC is like a domestic flight.

I have a domestic flight coming into Terminal C and departing from Terminal A. I only have a 40 minute layover. What is the best transportation to use to get there in time to make our flight?

    What airport?

I have a domestic flight coming into Newark Airport coming into Terminal C and departing from Terminal A. I only have a 40 minute layover. What is the best transportation to use to get there in time to make my flight?

United operates a shuttle bus that runs on the secure side between the terminals. You will have to hope your first flight is on-time and hurry.

Thank you very much for the reply. We have a three flight day to the East Coast and United doesn't give us any other options on flights for leaving from Cody, WY. This makes it difficult since being on time is never for sure any time now, Thanks again for your help.

We have 1 hour & 20 min's between when our flight lands at terminal b & our connection leaves from terminal A. Is this enough time & how do we avoid going through security again as this may hold us up?

Take the TerminaLink train, it connects all terminals beyond security so you won't have to go through security again.

thnx Zap...appreciate your reply & advise.

I'm flying on 10/31/13 with Mesa Airlines (UA376) from San Antonio, to connect with SAS SK926 to Copenhagen. My dog will be checked in on both flights as baggage. Connect time is 1:55 hrs. Will both my dog & I have good chances to make the SAS flight?

Yes, that should be enough time to make your connection.

I am arriving at FRA from Philadelphia at 10:20am and I have another flight departing only 1 hour 15 min later to Corfu through Terminal 2. Will this be sufficient time? I have only carry-on luggage. Thank you

At FRA, U.S. Arrivals are being processed at Area A where they go through passport control only (US departures use the Z gates upstairs of Satellite A, with A gates). To connect to your departing flight at Terminal 2, use the free SkyLine train which connects - inside the secured area - A & B gates & stops between D & E gates of Terminal 2, and comes around every two minutes. D gates: 21-44; E gates: 21-26. You should be able to make it on time.

hi I am arriving from mexico to dallas at 11 am but my flight to seoul departas at 12:10 from what I heard I dont have enought time for connection is that right?

Yes, while it is possible as both flights will be in the same terminal, that is a very tight connection and it will be very difficult to get through immigration, customs, security, and back to your gate in that time.

I thought that we would have a 3 hour layover in which to go through the recheck at Dallas. Between a delay on arrival and the understaffed AA terminal, we now have about 30 minutes to get through this line and security. We have been waiting to recheck for about 1 hour 20 minutes.

Is 35 minutes enough to connect when arriving from denver to IAH and then to Bogota,Colombia ..?are national terminal arrivals far from international departures...?

    Flying United for all flights

    bags will be automatically transferred...?

Yes, your baggage will be automatically transferred. You will likely arrive in C and depart from E, which are connected by walkways.

Which concourse is likely for arrival of Delta flight 5486 from SBN in September? Do you have an idea for Delta 1681 from DTW to ATL?

You will likely arrive in C and depart from A.

I am flying fron San Francisco on Aug 15th, arriving in Washington IAD at 9:05pn connecting to Morgantown at 9:50pm. Is that enough time to make the connection and how far is it between the arrival terminal and the departure ternial

You will arrive in C or D and depart from A. If you arrive in D take the mobile lounge in between D and A and if you arrive in C take the Aerotrain.
