  • TBIT to Terminal 4

I will be arriving from London on BA at 3pm. I know I will have to go through immigrationa and customs. Our flight to Honolulu leaves at 6pm. Will that be enough time? Is there any fasttrack lanes? We are travelling on with American Airlines on a seperate ticket but as the are alliance airlines wil that mean I can check luggage through from London please? Any tips welcome.

That should be enough time - you would have to ask BA if they can check your bags through - perhaps you could call them to ask. Terminal 4 is right next to the TBIT so you won't have far to walk.

Thanks for that - I'll ask BA.

On AA1194 from Orlando Arr 17:45 then on IB4194 (T3) leaving 18:20. Will there be enough time to make connection? Can you please confirm that baggage will be transferred onto the flight please and what terminal etc? Many thanks Many thanks

Yes, your baggage will be checked through to your Iberia flight. If your Orlando flight is on time then you will barely have enough time. Also, check the operating carrier of your flight, I believe Iberia 4194 is a code-share flight actually operated by American. If you miss your connection you'll probably get sent to Manchester on a later flight via London.

My wife and kids arrive at gate C33 and need to get to gate C47. How long of a walk is that?

You arrive at Concourse C of the Jeppesen Terminal at gates west C28-39 and need to look for the sign to gates west C40-49. My guess is a 10-minute walk.

I have a flight leaving out of Terminal C but want to visit a friend in Terminal D. Can I check in at terminal D and walk over to Terminal C?

Yes, you can, if your time allows. On your return to TC at LGA you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. For more information open www.ifly.com/lga, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

I am arriving at TB on an Emirates flight with my non-US citizen wife. This is her first time to US. How much time should I allow for passport control and US Customs? 30 -40 minutes for US citizen but that does not seem like enough time for her. Is 2 hours between arrival at TB and departure from T1 enough time?

  • LAX connection to Panama City (PTY)

Hello, I arrive at terminal 5, (7:30am) flying on Virgin Australia/Delta & need to connect with my flight at terminal 6 (11:30am) flying Copa Air to Panama. I will need to go through security, pick up bags & re-check in. Will 4 hours be enough time for this?

You have plenty of time. NOTE: If your first airline does not transfer bags to your second airline, you will need to take your bags, after customs clearance, to Terminal 6, checking them in with Copa. Terminals 5 & 6 are connected by tunnel - at the baggage claim level, take the escalator down to the tunnel and at T6 go up the escalator, proceed to the departures level and go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate.

HELP!!! I am arrive into LAX's terminal 2 on a Tuesday in August at 4:30PM from Mexico City on Aeromexico. I have a connecting flight out of the same terminal, LAX's terminal 2, to Honolulu on Hawaiian 1.5 hours later at 6:00PM. Is 1.5 hours enough to get through immigration, customs, and TSA???

I also should note I do not have any check-in luggage, only carry ons.

You have sufficient time for the transfer. Terminal 2 has gates 21-28.

Recently I have experienced much slower immigration processing at DFW. Current connection has me coming from MEX to SFO via DFW with a 1 hour total connect time until DFW-SFO departure. Given current procedures and time is that enough?

It will be tough. Especially if your SFO flight isn't leaving from Terminal D. However, there will probably be a later flight to SFO if you miss your connection.

  • transfer time between T3 to T1

US citizen Coming from Accra at T3 going to US at T1, how much time I need?

On arrival at FCO you need to go through non-Schengen passport check & customs clearance. Make sure your first airline transfers your bags to your connecting airline (if you use separate airlines) - if not, you need to re-check in your bag at T1. Free shuttles run between all terminals & carparks every 15 mins. Count at least 75 minutes for transfer time (add another 20 minutes if you need to re-check in your bag with different airline).

    What Airport?

I have carry on only. But I have 45 minutes only and my agent told me it will be OK???

    Dear Zap, Rome FCO airport.

A friend of mine is a flight attendant for AA. She came back from Heathrow last week and said the immigrations lines were horrendous (she and her crew were getting screamed at because the agents streamlined them through for them to make the next flight they were working on). The agent told her that the lines were 3-4 hours wait at some times, due to cutbacks. What have you heard about this? We are coming back from Barcelona next month on AA and only have a 2 hour layover.

    What airport?

    jfk

While slow-downs at the immigration/customs clearance process in the U.S. have also been impacted by the cut-downs, so far the added time is at most one hour in some of the large U.S. Airports. You arrive at JFK via AA at Terminal 8; After passport clearance, picking up bags & re-checking them in, if AA is also your connecting airline you simply walk to your connecting gate. T8 has Concourses B (gates 1-16 & C (gates 31-17). If needing to get to another terminal for a different airline, take the 'Airline Terminals Train' - however, on arrival at departing terminal you need to go through security check prior to proceeding to your connecting gate.

Just got notice that there was a schedule change. We are arriving JFK from Milan on AA and have 1:40 to make the connection to Tampa flight. Having never been to JFK/AA terminal before--provided all on time-- is it going to be close? We do have to go through security again?

Yes, you will have to go through security again after US immigration, but at least everything is in the same new modern terminal. You should have enough time.

You will arrive at JFK at Terminal 8, where you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag where indicated. Then go back to the Departures level, go through security check and proceed to your connecting gate. (T8 has Concourses B with gates 1-16 and near gate 14 is access to Concourse C with gates 32-17. It's doable, but there is no time to waste!

What is the cheapest and safest parking structure for a week long at Pearson Airport

At YYZ Long-term carparks (Arlanda Langtid Alfa and Arlanda Langtid Beta) are served every 8-15 mins by free yellow shuttle buses 14 to Alfa & 17 to Beta, at Stop 17, outside of T2, T4 & T5.

If I'm connecting at IAH, traveling by United, and I'm Mexican and have to go through Migration.. is 2 hours 10 min enough time to make it? I'm catchin a flight to NYC. Thanks in advance for the help, I'd really appreciate it :)

That should be enough time. Once you clear immigration your flight to NY will probably leave from Terminal C, which is connected. If for some reason you miss your connection, United has lots of flights from IAH to NY, so you can be rebooked.
