I have a long layover between my international and domestic flights. I asked a friend if she'd meet me for dinner. All the restaurants appear to be after security. I'd rather not leave the airport. Any ideas?

How do I get from Terminal #5 to Terminal #6. Walk Rail ?? Run? LOL

On arrival at T5, go down to the ground /arrivals level, then take the escalator down to the tunnel connecting to Terminal 6, up the elevator and on to security check and to your T6 gate!

My international flight by Delta will arrive at Terminal F at 16:55, then my domestic flight by Delta will depart from Terminal B at 18:55. 1- do i have to collect my luggage & move it to the next flight or not ? 2- is 2 hours enough to go from Terminal F to B ?

    1. You arrive at the International Terminal: after debarkation, passengers walk the corridor towards the escalators taking them to the Arrivals level, where they go through Customs & Immigration, then proceed to the baggage claim area which has 7 carousels. Connecting passengers recheck-in their bags by proceeding to the transit area past baggage claim and turning left to baggage recheck counters, then follow signs to Concourse F Plane Train station. The Plane Train will take you to Concourse D, C, & B - B Concourse has gates B19-B36 at left, B17-B1 at right and escalator/ elevator to Plain Train at Concourses center). 2 hours will suffice.

  • Transfering from LGA to JFK
    Sep 19, 2012

I have a flight from Ottawa Canada to Athens Greece. Our flight lands in LGA at 1:21 and we depart from JFK at 4:30. We will not be checking our bags. 3 hrs to get there! Any advice on how to make it to JFK in the best time? Shuttle? Taxi? Private limo?

    1. Make sure to use U.S. Customs clearance at Ottawa Airport. 2. To get to JFK, you have the options of taking a metered taxi or limo, both take about 30 mins; or call the folowing three services, all of which take 45-60 mins: ETS Air Shuttle 718-221-5341; All County Express 914-381-4223 or 516-285-1300; NYC Airporter 718-777-5111. 3. (a) The Welcome Center on the Arrivals level of the Central Terminal at LGA Airport offers transportation information - all transportation arrangements can be made there, including shared rides, private car and limousine service. (b) Delta, Marine Air and US Airways Terminals have ground transportation counters on their Arrivals level for information on New York & New Jersey travel. 4. JFK has 7 terminals, make sure you land at the right terminal for your connecting airline. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/jfk and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the detailed text to find your terminal. At your JFK terminal you need to go through security check before proceeding on to your connecting gate. Your time is sufficient.

  • Concourse from nashville flying delta

Flying into mps from nashville connecting to great falls montana... Which is the typical concourse?

Delta is using Concourses A, B, C & F of the Lindbergh Terminal at MSP Airport. You need to check your ticket for arriving/departing gates, or look at the overhead screens on arrival at MSP for your gate connection: Concourse A has gates A1-14 (Concourse B can be reached by tunnel) Concourse B (opposite Concourse A) has on the upper level gates B1-16, and on the lower level a tunnel to Concourses A/C. Concourse C has gates 1-27, the Delta Sky Club at C11, and a cross walk to Concourse G near gate C12. Concourse F has gates 1-16.

Are there sky caps available to check bags on the sidewalks outside terminal C? If so, on which level?

At EWR, Terminal C is the exclusive United Airlines terminal - Skycaps are in- and outside of the terminal. Contact United if they have outside check-in posts (not all airlines have): At EWR, Level 1 - Arrivals & Ground Transport; Level 2 - Economy check-in, PremierAccess check-in; Global Services & BusinessFirst check-in; Level 3 - Economy check-in, Group check-in, and Special Services; 'All Gates' level between levels 2 & 3 houses departing gates, restaurants & shops, and AirTrain Newark station.

If I am flying with Delta should i go to terminal D or E because i am going out of D10 but they said their ticketing services are in E ?

At PHL, Delta's ticketing counter is in Terminal E, while gates and baggage claim are in TD; After check-in at TE, use the moving walkway connector to TD - follow signs, which has gates 1-16.

I hope someone can help me here ,I will be arriving from Auckland to LAX in October,Now I understand that I have to clear customs and irrigation and thats all good, but what I want to know is how is security at Terminal 7? I wish to avoid the Nude O Scopes and only proceed through the metal detectors, does anyone have any recent first hand experience that they can pass on to me that would be fantastic, have never flown into LA so the more info I have the better Cheers

I would not worry too much about the 'Nood O Scopes' - they have made improvements where body parts are no longer 'detailed'. However, you quote Terminal 7 (one of nine terminals at LAX) - this must be your connecting terminal, as it only serves domestic flights of Great Lakes & United Airlines. Do open www.ifly.com/lax & open "Terminal Map", then scroll down to the detailed text which should give you a good idea as to 'irrigation' (immigration) procedures and transfer options. Note: Qantas uses T5 & TBIT; Air NZ T2; Cathey Pacific TBIT - Cheers!

  • BWI Restaurants - Southwest Terminals

I'm flying into BWI as part of a layover when I go on vacation next month. Since I'll be there for roughly 2-1/2 hours, I'd like to find a nice sit down restaurant where I can have dinner, relax and pass the time. Went on Yelp & saw Phillips seafood (got low ratings) and Silver Diner (Concourse B & great ratings). Anyone ate at those, or can you recommend some place else? Thanks!

I haven't been to the Silver Diner in BWI, but the Silver Diner is a nice small independent restaurant chain with good food.

Definitely Silver Diner. Fun, fast, inexpensive with juke box music. Haven't eaten dinner there but breakfast and lunch always. Philips Seafood is a Maryland institution known for crab cakes. Expensive. As a native Marylander we go out of our way to not eat at any of their restaurants. (The Ocean City one is a tourist must, I guess.) Don't know availability of cocktails at the Diner, if that's important. Lots of fast food places nearby. But we always arrive early enough for our flights just so we can go to the Diner. (And welcome to MD!)

  • International - Domestic Change Time

Hi all-- I'll be arriving on a CX flight from HK (T7) with no bags and need to get myself very quickly to a Delta flight to Boston. What is the shortest amount of time this can be done? How bad are the domestic security lines at the Delta terminal?

As an international arrival at JFK you need to go through passport check (then most likely need to have your carry-on bag examined by Customs) before you can proceed via Airtrain (serving pre-security areas of all terminals) to either domestic terminals 2 or 3 (both served by Delta - watch the overhead screen for your connecting terminal/ gate. The Airtrain runs 24/7 - between midnight and 4am every 15 mins; between 4-7:30am every 7 mins; between 7:30am-3pm every 10 mins; between 3pm-8pm every 7 mins; between 8pm & midnight every 15 mins. T2 has gates 19-29; T3 gates 1-18.
