United uses Terminal 7 at JFK

We need to make a quick connection between the following and do not know the gates, can we make it in time arrive 6:25pm (not sure what gate, but previous flights have been at gate C-39) depart 6:56pm (not sure what gate, but previous flights have been at gate C-24) Can we make the connection in time and what is the fasted route between gates?

At IAH, Terminal C is exclusively for United Airways. On arrival look at overhead screens to find your flight number, gate & departure time. TC has three gateways at the left side of the terminal, for gates C29 to C33, gates C34 to C42, and gates C43 to C45. Hurry!

How I can Go from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4 and How many time I can spend

At FLL, to get from T2 to T4 you need to exit T2 and take the free shuttle bus across from the arrivals level to T4. On arrival at T4 proceeds to the departure level, go through security check and on to your connecting gate at Concourse H (gates H1-10). Count on 50 mins from gate to gate.

I want to know any access and take how long to go for transit?

On arrival at ORD, at Terminal 5, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes), then proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System (ATS) station and take the train to your connecting Terminal 3. The ATS train runs in the non-sterile part (post-security) of the terminals - requiring security check before proceeding to connecting gate. Terminal 3 has Concourse G (gates G1A-21 & on lower level G13-15); Concourse H has gates H1-18; Concourse K has gates K1-20 & Concourse L has gates L1-10. Watch the overhead screens on arrival at ORD for your connecting flight and gate number. For more information, open open www.ifly.com/ord then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

Getting from Terminal 5 to Terminal 3 via the ATS takes about 15 minutes from the time you leave baggage re-check/immigration at T5 to when you reach security at T3.

I have 1 hr connection from B22A to C16 in ORD. 2 kids with 1 stroller. do I have to wait in the line to pass the security gate? is there any tunnel connecting the 2 terminals? thanks.

At ORD, Terminal 1 has Concourse B with gates B1-22 and Concourse C with gates C1-32 - both Concourses are connected at their center by a walkway. No need to go through security check.

  • how to meet?

My mother will be arriving at terminal 5 and we will be arriving at terminal 3. Where is the best place for us to meet?

At FCO, after passport control at Terminal 5, take the shuttle bus outside to Terminal 3. Meet your mother at T3's arrivals level, in front of the information counter.

I have a 45 minute connection coming in Terminal 1 going out Terminal 2. I can see by the map I could likely walk it easily between concourse B and terminal 2, but is there a shortcut from concourse C, if my plane comes in there?

There is a bus that goes from a spot near around gate C9 to gate E-2 in Terminal 2. I've never taken it and it probably won't save you any time. But if you have a little time and don't like walking, you can try it.

  • 5o-minute layover

My husband, my 2 kids (18-yr old & 4-yr old) & myself will have a connecting flight at Dulles IAD from Miami going to Beijing. We only have a 50-minute layover to get to our next flight. Both flights are on United Air. Any suggestions on how to navigate the airport the fastest way?

You will likely arrive in Concourse D and depart from Concourse C. They are two sides of the same terminal corridor. You just walk from D to C. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

Thanks so much for your reply. Now I feel better.

Hi. I'm flying in from the UK to Baltimore later this year, with a connection in Newark. Flights with United/United Express. Inward journey looks ok with a 2.5 hour layover at EWR. Return from BWI is a little tighter at 1.5 hours. On my return journey from BWI will my hold baggage be checked straight thru to the UK, i.e. will I have to collect it in Newark or will I just have to get myself and hand luggage from TA to TC and thru security. Should I be worried at the connection time at Newark? (on a Sunday in September)

Yes, your baggage will be checked straight through to the UK in Baltimore and you won't have to collect it in Newark. As long as your first flight is on time or close to it you'll have plenty of time. The other good thing is that United has lots of flights from Newark to London, so if you miss that one they can put you on another (assuming you're not already on the last one).

    Thanks Zap

Thanks for the reply ZAP. I'm actually returning to Manchester rather than London. There isnt a later flight to Manchester but there is one to London. If I missed my Manchester flight and United put me on the London flight (just to get me to the UK overnight), would they bear the cost of getting me to Manchester from London?

How long does it atke to go from Terminal 5 (US arriving on American) to Terminal 1 (Alitalia) domestic. I will have 2 1/2 hours

    I think 30 to 45m is enough

At FCO, after going through passport clearance, you have a choice of using the special shuttle bus at T5 to T3, then walk past the control tower and Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 (T1 & T2 are connected at Arrivals). OR take the free shuttles running between all terminals and carparks daily, every 15 mins; (during 1am-4am you can also request such shuttle by using the intercom situated at every shuttle stop.) You have enough time.

    thanks

Stopped in for late lunch and made it dinner. Enjoyed the special of the day, grilled Hallibut over mushroomed rice with Spinache and a wonderful light cream wine sauce. Meal exceeded expectations and would be a value at twice the cost ($28/plate when we ate). House Special Margarita was perfect at $9. Sushi was fresh and thick cut but a bit steep at $9/2 pcs.

  • getting from terminal 8 to terminal 3

I am connecting at jfk for a flight to aruba. I am flying out of boston and only have 1 hour to make connection. Airline says I will make it. Any thoughts or tips?

At JFK,on arrival at Terminal 8 board the Airline Terminal Train (follow signs) which runs between all terminals in the unsecured area and takes minutes. At T3 you need to go through security check prior to getting to your connecting gate. Make sure your airline transfers bags to your connecting airline - if not you need to pick up your bag on arrival and take it to your connecting airline counter at T3.

International arrival on T8 to international departure T8, American Airlines, do I have to go through security check?

All international arrivals need to go through passport check, pick up bags and go through customs clearance, then re-check-in bags where indicated. Yes, at JFK you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate.

Do the American eagle and United express jets pull up to a gate or have to deboard down stairs. I am traveling with my 85 yr old mother...

I suggest you arrive early at IAH, go to the airline counter and altert them that you may need a special lift - all airports have them, don't know what they call them.

  • Arrive Terminal 8 depart Terminal 4

I arrive at 8:10 via AA & Depart at 10:40 am via EK. Do I have to check out & check in luggage again or do they transfer? Is it enough time to check in & out again? Please help me with as little time as possible. I don't want to loose my next flight in case first one is delayed. Thanks

You need to contact AA to find out if they transfer your bags at JFK (or go to the AA counter at your initial departure Airport). If not, you need to claim your bag and take it along on the "Airline Terminal Train" (follow signs - maps posted show it in yellow) where your next stops will be T7, T6, T5 & T4, taking no more than 15 mins. However, on arrival you will need to go (to departure level, Emirates counter, to re-check-in bag) and proceed to security checkpoints on either side of Concourse A (gates A2-7), and Concourse B (gates B20-31).
