  • PHL Terminal F to A in 55 mins???
    May 15, 2012
We are flying into PHL from Buffalo on US Airways Express into terminal F, then have a 55 min layover until we fly out to Punta Cana, DR. Likely out of terminal A... will 55 mins be enough time for this transfer? I know we won't have to go thru security again. Thanks

Distances between terminals at PHL can be long. A free shuttle bus, operated by US Airways runs between Terminal A and F. (Its departure most likely coincides with connecting scheduled flight). You should have enough time.

from terminal F to terminal A east in 40minutes?

  • Arriving DTW from Amsterdam
    Apr 29, 2012
Will have one husband, one wheelchair, 3 suitcases. Understand I need to re-check luggage. What is the easiest way for me to handle this? Can my travel agent help expedite?

    1. Regardless whether you will connect at DTW to another flight, or end your journey there, you need to go through passport control, pick up bags and go through customs clearance. 2. If DTW is your final destination, you do not have to re-check-in your bags. If you transfer to another flight, depending on the Airline you use you may need to have to transfer to another terminal after baggage re-check-in. DTW has to terminals - the McNamara Terminal with Concourses A,B,C, and the North Terminal with Concourse D (gate numbers bear the concourse letter, i.e., gate C43) - look at your ticket and on arrival at DTW at the overhead screen for connecting flight if you need to continue journey. 3. A shuttle bus runs every 10 minutes between the McNamara and the North Terminals, taking 7 minutes. Concourse A of McNamara has 1.5 miles of moving walkways, but also uses the Express Tram serving the South station near gate A11, the Terminal station in the center near the water feature, and the North station near gate A67. If travel agent cannot expedite your needed assistance at DTW, you need to contact DTW at - or ask any Airport staff to obtain assistance.

  • Terminal 1 to 5
    Apr 29, 2012
How long does it take to travel from Terminal 1 to Terminal 5? I only have 1.5 between flights.

At ORD, between the ATS level of Terminal 5 and the domestic terminals 1, 2 & 3, the ATS shuttle train runs every few minutes - it makes its loop run counter clockwise (T1 is the last stop) - the full loop takes at least 30 mins.

  • International to Intl = after 5/16/12
    Apr 29, 2012
I will be transferring from one International flight to another in the fall. Will I have to go thru Immigration or Customs?

    1. Yes - all international arrivals need to go through the immigraton process. You will arrive either at the E or F gates of the new International Terminal (officially opening 5/16/12). After debarkation, passengers walk the corridor towards the escalators taking them to the Arrivals level, where they go through customs & Immigration, then proceed to the baggage claim area with 7 baggage carousels. (a) Connecting passengers recheck-in their bags by proceeding to the transit area past baggage claim and turning left to baggage recheck counters, then follow signs to Concourse F Plane Train station or pedestrian walkway connecting to concourse & E.

I am arriving on a JetBlue flight and am to meet someone coming in on Southwest. Can I walk to the Southwest terminal from Jet Blue?

JetBlue uses both Terminals C and E, while Southwest uses only Terminal E. Shuttle bus 11 serves all terminals. This is the terminal layout at BOS: TA, TB, TC, & TE are arranged in a semi-circle around the Central Parking Garage. Its northern-most terminal is International Terminal E; connected to it to the east are TC & TB. I guess you could walk between TC & TE.

Yes, you can. Just follow the signs to get to SW terminal.

How can I get from Terminal 5 to Terminal 3 and how long does it take? Thanks for your assistance

T5 with Concourse M is the International Terminal; all international arrivals, with the exception of flights from airports with border preclearance, are handled at Terminal 5. After arrival at T5 you need to go through passport check, pick up your bags, go through customs clearance and then re-check-in your bag. Then proceed up one level ATS level (above Federal inspection) to catch the ATS shuttle train which runs every few minutes between the International & domestic terminal 3. From arrival at T5 to arrival at T3 count on 50-65 mins. Note that Trminal 3 has Concourses G, H, K & L with corresponding gates (i.e., G21) - On arrival at ORD, look at the overhead screens to find your connecting flight and gate number.

  • Transfer
    Apr 26, 2012
I arrive from Victoria into Vancouver en route to London England. It says one hour seven minutes connection time. Is this sufficient? Do I have to change terminal buildings. Thanks

    1. If using Air Canada to YVR, you would arrive at Concourse C (gates C30-52). 2. The international departure gates are D50-78. 3. Domestic & International Gates: Signs to gates are clearly marked – Domestic gates A1-10, B11-29 & C30-52 are marked with the Canadian flag. International gates D50 to 78 are marked with a blue globe & the American Flag. You have enough time!

i made trip few times last year but was in hurry and not remember i fly flight kl0662 and connecting to kl1385 and tring to look at map to get idea how far of walk as my transfer is only an hour and i plan to get some flowers between flights anyone have help on this

    1. I could not find today's arrival listing of kl0662, but found a KLM kl1385 departure to Kiev, leaving from gate D55. Open and enter your flight number at "Arrivals", then do the same for "Departures". You may not be able to find a flower shop in the secured area. 2. The Departures level has Concourses with Gate Areas B-C, D, E, F, G-H, & M. Departures 1 uses the B & D gates; Departures 2 uses the E gates; Departure 3 uses F, G, H & M gates.

Next month (May 17.) I will fly from Frankfurt to Dayton (OH).Can you tell me, please, what can I do if: thanks to delayed arrival, or large cue in front of pasport checking officer, certain time needed for transfer from T5 to T2 (I´m not familiarized with airport O Hare) or any other reasons, I ´ll (without my own fault) miss my plane to Dayton. For transfer from T5 to T2I have only 85 minutes. Flight ticket is valid only for actual date. Can somebody from airport staff help me? Thanks.

While nobody can give you assurance of a serious delay in flight arrival, or unusual delays at Customs clearance, you have a high chance of making your transfer easily within 85 mins with time to spare. This is what you need to do at ORD: 1. On arrival, check the overhead screens to find your flight number, gate & departure time. 2. All international arrivals need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tags issued at FRA should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). This takes normally 35-45 mins. 3. Thereafter, proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System where you can easily connect to terminals 2 for your domestic flight. The free ATS shuttle train running every few minutes can take you there. Just follow signs. NOTE: Terminal 2 has Concourses E & F with corresponding gates.

  • how to meet someone in terminal 1
    Apr 25, 2012
my parents are gonna arrive in sfo terminal 1, and they can't talk any english. How can I manage to see them inside the airport. is there a way to go inside? where is the good place to meet up? thanks a lot!

I presume your parents use a domestic flight, if arriving at Terminal 1. Therefore, all they need to do is follow signs (internationally understood) and the others to the baggage claim area. Meet them there (find out airline & flight number ( look at overhead screens of baggage carousels) or meet them in front of the information counter in the arrivals area.

  • Where are the airlines?

HI GUYS I am flying from MSY to IAD. There I have a 1 hour and 22 minutes wait will I be able to catch my flight to Vienna which is in terminal B. How can I connect between D and B terminals.

    Try this...

    Try this...

    or this...

You arrive at Terminal D - D gates D1-32 are presently not served by the Aerotrain - you need to take the shuttle bus departing near gate D11 & Starbucks, to the main Terminal and either use the Aerotrain making its first stop in the center of Concourses A/B (B gates are B35-79), or use the walkway to Concourse A/B - Your the is adequate.
