  • 35 minute connection time

I am flying United Airlines Sunday May 5 from Edmonton to Chicago. My flight is scheduled to arrive at Chicago O'Hare at 12:29ppm and depart again, on a different flight at 1:04pm to Indianappolis. Will I have enough time to get to the next gate & board if flights are on time? Will my luggage make it to the next flight?

It's a very tight connection but is doable if your first flight is on-time. Also if you miss your connection there should be other later flights to Indianapolis.

How long will it take to get from Terminal B to F? I am on US Ariways flight and have 45 mins to get to terminal F. Will I have enough time

It's tight but doable. You have to take the US Airways shuttle (which runs on the secure side). How long it exactly takes depends on how long you have to wait for the shuttle.

  • Time between Terminal 8 and Terminal 5

We are flying from Chicago to JFK, arriving in Terminal 8, and need to go to Terminal 5 to catch our flight to Ireland. From looking at the map, I'm seeing that Term 8 is quite large, as is Term. 5. And I'm assuming we have to go thru security again in Term 5. How long do you think it will take to get from gate in 8 , thru security, to gate in 5 if we're unlucky enough to have the farthest gates in each terminal on arrival and departure.

Worst case scenario is probably about an hour but more likely 30-45 mins.

I am flying into Houston from Newark and making a connection to Puerto Vallarta 1 hour and 15 minutes later. I am supposed to meet with a Houston resident during this interval to deliver a pet. Is this at all doable?

No, I would advise not doing that - you likely will not have enough time. Perhaps if you can take an earlier flight from Newark you would have enough time.

A follow-up question. It looks like I'll be arriving in, and departing from, Terminal E. How hard is it to go out of security, meet, and come back in through security? Since I'm arriving on a domestic flight, customs and immigration should not be a factor, right? The layout is not clear. Thanks!

It depends where in C or E your Chicago flight comes in to. It's not "hard", there just might be quite a bit of walking involved.

    Sorry, I meant Newark flight.

I'm flying with Delta Airlines from Miami - London with a stop in New York. Will 1 hour 20 mins be enough time for me to get from terminal 3 to terminal 2? Do I have to go through security? Thanks

Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 in JFK are connected beyond security.

Brilliant, thank you! Do I just have to walk to find the other gate then?

Yes, you should have plenty of time if your first flight is on time.

What is the minimum time to go from Terminal A to D?

Bare minimum would be 25 minutes to 30 minutes, but that leaves no wiggle room for delays.

My dad is a frequent flyer so he's practically and expert when it comes to airlines and airport. Last year, I was able to go alone from New York to Ankara via Istanbul. I told my dad that I was planning on leaving early to get something to eat before my flight and he recommended this place. This place is probably as close to Turkish food than any other Turkish place in the U.S. they give classic Turkish sweets and desserts and various food while still serving American treats and sandwiches. They even serve classic Turkish coffee and tea. Now I've been traveling frequently and I always stop by this place whenever my flight is in Terminal 1. Definitely recommend this to anyone, especially those who are planning to actually go to Istanbul

  • Do I have enough time?

I'm arriving from Sydney Australia at 6.40am into terminal 4 then have to get bags etc and go to terminal 6 Alaskan airline flt at 9.45am. Will I have time? Also any tips on quickest way to do this? Thanks.

Yes, that should be enough time. You can either take the airline connections shuttle on the lower level to T6 or you can walk - it's not that far.

My friend in flying from St. Louis on UA 5029 (United Express), connecting in IAH to go to San Jose, Costa Rica on UA 1565. I plan to meet him for a cup of coffee in the airport, does anyone know where is the best place for him to meet with me and what terminals will these two flights be in? Thank you.

He will arrive in terminal A or B and depart from C or E. I wouldn't bother trying to meet him unless he has approximately 3 hrs between his flights.

I am needing to know how long approx. it takes to get from rental car agency to TA? Including going through security. I have no bags to checks and will already have my boarding pass printed up. Is 2 hrs enough time?

2 hours should be enough time.

Going from delta in terminal 2 to delta international in T3 or 4, how long does it take?

10-15 minutes. Depends on how long you have to wait for your gate-check bag on your Delta Connection flight (if you have one).

arriving on southwest and headed to jet blue. how long will the transfer take?

What airport? Will you have checked baggage or not? (Southwest doesn't interline baggage with any other airline)

Hi on may 26th (Sunday ) I will be travelling on a British airways ticket New Orleans to London Heathrow via MIA using American Airlines AA

If you arrive via American Eagle, you arrive either at Concourse D or E (with corresponding gates), if arriving by American Airlines, it's Concourse E. British Airways is in Concourse F. The Skyride Connector, a moving walkway on level 3, connects all concourses. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/mia, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.
