January 15th I will be travelling from Amsterdam to San Francisco with a 2 hour transfer in Philadelphia. Will those two hours be enough to get through customs en re-check in my bags (I am a non US-citizen)? I arrive at 3.50 PM, is this generally a busy hour?

PHL has 7 passenger terminals: TA-West & East, TB, TC, TD, TE & TF - all with corresponding gates. At PHL, you will arrive at Terminal A-West and need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). Allow at least 35-45 minutes to connecting terminal. HOWEVER, if your airline from Amsterdam does not transfer bags to your connecting airline at PHL, you would have to reclaim your bag after customs clearance and check it in with your connecting airline. A free shuttle bus, operated by US Airways , makes the following connections: at post-security areas between Terminals A-East/ A-West (at gate A1), and Terminal F (at gate F14), and between Terminals B/C (at gate C16) & F (gate F14). 2 hours should suffice in any case.

How to find out the prices of chocolates and parfumes in duty free? Is it better to buy in duty free or before you get to airport? In some aiports you can get much more cheaper in duty free.

We will be arriving in terminal A and our connecting flight leaves from terminal C 1 hr. later. We will be traveling with a Dog Guide. Is there a place we can take the dog to relieve himself and still get through security in time to be boarded?

    1. Pet relief areas are located outside of the arrivals area of each terminal - follow signs there, or ask a Customer Care Representative for information. Owners are expected to clean up after their animals using available materials provided there. 2. The Airtrain runs between all three terminals in the unsecured area, meaning at Terminal C you will need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. Do not hesitate to ask for assistance guiding you on arrival to the Arrivals level, on to the pet relief area, back to the Airtrain station and on to Terminal C. You should be able to make it within an hour.

WE have 1 hour in denver, connecting from YQR Canada to CUN, mexico with 58 minutes. Do we have to clear customs and security? Is it enough time?

As YQR does not have US customs clearance, you need, on arrival at DEN, go through FIS & US Customs at the north end of the Main Terminal at Level 5, where they need to retrieve their checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if connecting to another flight, take the AGTS underground train to their departure gate area. Also, check with your first airline if it transfers your bags to the connecting airline (if different airlines used) - if not, you need to take your bag after customs clearance and re-check it in with your connecting airline before proceeding to your next flight. You may arrive at and depart from, either A gates 24-68, B gates B15-95, or C gates C28-50. Your boarding pass & the overhead screens will indicate flight numbers & gates. Hurry - not much time allowance for late arrival.

  • Terminal 2 to Terminal 1, 55 min layover
    Dec 30, 2012

Hello, I was hoping to get any advice about my 55 minute layover between a flight arriving from Canada into terminal 2, and then an international departure (to Paris) 55 minutes later from terminal 1. Is this enough time? And what is the quickest (and easiest!) way to get there? Thank you!

I presume you are going through US customs clearance in Canada. If you use two different airlines, make sure the one departing from Canada transfers your bags to your Paris connection. If not, you need to pick up your bag and re-check it in with your next airline. On arrival, look for the ATS train sign connecting all terminals. The rain runs every few mins. You have enough time.

You do not have to take the ATS from terminal 2 to Terminal 1. Just follow the signs and walk. It takes like 10 minutes at most.

Which terminal is the International. What's the easiest way to get from Parking to International terminal?

The International Terminal at ORD is Terminal 5 with a long Concourse M which wraps around the concessions Court; it has to the left (gates M12-M21) and to the right (gates M7-M1), and extends northward in the center to gates M8-M11 (prepare yourself for long walks from check-in to gates). Parking is across from the terminal. For other parking options open www.ifly.com/ord and click on Parking under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to details.

    Is USO inside security area

At CLT Airport, the USO Lounge is above the Atrium, accessible by stairway or elevator. (The Atrium is a glass-enclosed structure with a tree-lined boulevard dotted with comfortable white rocking chairs and surrounded by concessions & services. Opposite from the Atrium is the ticketing area and on either side the security checkpoints leading to the concourses.) I think USO is in the non-secured area.

The USO lounge is located on the 2nd level above the atrium and is outside the security checkpoints

I am going from FLL to BNA and the connect is in charlotte, when i get off the plane to the connect will i have to go to baggage claim to get my bag or will they have it for me ? And where is my gate number or terminal at ? And will i have to go through security check again ?

I suggest you open www.ifly.com/clt and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the detailed text. If you use different airlines you need to find out from the airline if they transfer bags to the next leg of travel, if not, you need to claim your bag in the baggage claim area and re-check-in your bag with your connecting airline at its check-in counter).

Does lga have a cell phone lot for picking up arriving passengers

LGA has no cell phoe lot; however, Terminal A has a metered 2-hour limit lot. Terminal frontages are only for loading/unloading - unattendet cars will be towed at owner's expense.

  • Distance between F12 to T7
    Dec 29, 2012

I have transition time of 1 hour. Please let know the distance between F12 to T7 for me to be able to take a decision to walk or take a train

On arrival at ATL at the new International Terminal, Concourse F, will go through customs clearance (CBP) at this concourse. Thereafter, follow signs to the 'Plane Train' serving all concourses in the center of their gate arrangements. At Concourse T take escalator/elevator to gate area with gates T9-15 and T8-1 on either side.
