  • delay in FRA-where to pick up train
    Mar 1, 2013

We have a long delay and I would like to go into Frankfurt and use the City Tour Hop on Hop off Bus. Where do I pick up the train (which Train?) and where to get off for St. Paul Cathedral? Other suggestions are welcome, not interested in staying at the airport . Thank you!

At Frankfurt Airport, Info & tickets for local transport are available at RMV Mobility Center located at DB TravelCenter of Terminal 1, Concourse B, Level 0; ticket machines are on the same level. For schedules & fares visit rmv.de. On arrival I suggest you go to the Visitor Information counter to get brochures and directions.

Arriving in PHL onUS Air 4542 and connecting to 82 to Seattle. us airways express. Is 50 minutes enough time to get the connection. what terminals does flight 4542 and 82 arrive and depart?

You have enough time if you arrive from a domestic flight, in which case you will arrive & depart from Terminal A-East; if arriving on an international flight you would arrive in Terminal A-West, go through passport check & customs clearance and proceed through security check to your connecting Terminal A-East (transfer time would then be very tight.

  • Walk between 2E and 2F

I have 90 minutes between flts . I land at 2E depart 2F Coming from LAX I only have a carryon, not checking bags Can I walk between 2E and 2 F and is 90 minutes enough time?

90m is enough but don't take risk , keep some more time in hand.

Your transfer time is enough - open aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/en-GB/Passagers/Access-maps-car-parks/guide-connection-flight/ - click on your arriving and on your departing terminals; then follow instructions below it for connections.

  • Enough time for connecting flight?

I've never been to this airport before and am arriving in terminal B with a connecting flight to Cancun in terminal E...the layover is 58 minutes...can someone please tell me if this is enough time before I book my flight?? Thanks!

On arrival at IAH, take the above-ground TerminaLink train, which starts its service at the Terminal A station & connects terminals A, B, C, D/E. Then follow signs to E gates (The left-side gateway extension has gates E1 through gates E11, while to the right are gates E12 to E24.)

  • transferring CDG to Orly - baggage

We are flying Totonto to Paris CGD, and 9 hr s later flying from Paris Orly to Reunion (Island in Indian Ocean). All with Air France. Is there any way of we can make AF to transfer our luggage from CDG to Orly, so we can see some Paris for 2-3 hours? Can you check your luggage at CDG (destined for next flight from Orly) after claiming it at CDG?

You need to contact Air France re luggage transfer to Orly. Also, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/cdg (or ory), then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text - which also gives you the options to connect to ORY.

Air France will not transfer your baggage from CDG to ORY - you'll have to somehow manage to do it yourself.

  • Terminal 4 to 3

Hi, im arriving to terminal 4 and have a conection at delta terminal 3, how do i get there? Is ti reachable by walking? Or where do i catch the airtrain? Thnaks!

On arrival at JFK at T4, take the 'Airline Terminals Train' (follow signs) to T3, which is the next stop. You need to go through security check at T4 before proceeding to your gate.

Im looking into a connection from Newark to IAD to kuwait, American airlines is giving me 50 min connection time. will that be ok?

At IAD American Airlines uses Midfield Concourse B; American Eagle uses the Main Terminal & Concourse A. Should you arrive at the Main Terminal, you can walk to the separate Midfield Concourse A/B housing A & B gates on either side. You have enough time.

Are you sure you're on American? American doesn't fly Newark-IAD or IAD-Kuwait. However, United does. You're probably on United.

  • American to Alaska Airlines

I am flying from Flint, Michigan so they're usually smaller airplanes with American Airlines, then switching to Alaska Airlines to go to Seattle, Washington. I have 55 minutes to get to my connecting flight to Seattle via Alaska Airlines. I see they're both in Term 3, is that the case? So I should have enough time to get from point A to B and not have to re go through security? Originally I was under the impression I was switching terminals until I looked at which terminals are with what airlines. Thanks.

At ORD you arrive & depart from T3, which has Concourses G, H, K & L with corresponding gates. Look at overhead screens on arrival to find your flight number and gate, then follow signs. You have sufficient transfer time.

Yes, actually both of your flights will be within Concourse L so it will be an easy connection.

  • Connecting from terminal F to B
    Feb 28, 2013

I land in terminal F and have to go to terminal B. I understand I can take a shuttle bus to terminal C, and then walk to terminal B. Will I have to go through security? Also I only have an hour and 10 minutes. Is that enough time to make my connecting flight?

On arrival at Terminal F, The US Airways shuttle bus leaves at gate F14 and arrives at gate C16 - no security check is necessary. While transfer may take up to half an hour you have plenty of time!

Hi, I'm travelling from Cancun to Madrid, with a 2 hour connection in Philadelphia, is it enough time?? Both flights are with US Airways.

    It should be enough time.

  • YUL-IAD-GVA 1 hour layover
    Feb 27, 2013

I'm looking at booking this route with United Airlines on Saturday March 16th but am concerned about the 1 hour layover. Since I clear US customs in Montreal and am traveling United all the way through I assume I can head straight to my departure gate at IAD without having to recheck bags or go through any customs. Am I correct in that?

Yes, arrivals into the US from Canadian destinations with preclearance like Montreal are treated like regular domestic flights.

  • 45 Min Connection
    Feb 27, 2013

I'm flying in from Cincy to PhL arriving at gate F28 and Leaving out of Gate A20. Is 45min connection time enough to get from F to A via the shuttle? Will the workers at gate A20 give me any leaway or extra time to get there?

On arrival at PHL, gate F28, take the US Airways shuttle bus at gate F14 to the center of connected Terminals A-East /A-West, at gate A1, then proceed to gate A20 of Terminal A-West. You should make it in time for your connection.

  • TERMINAL CHANGE

I am flying into Terminal 1 on United and departing from Terminal 2 on US Airways, must I go through security again? Also how long of a walk between the 2 terminals.

At ORD you have a choice of walking or taking the ATS train, both options, however, require you to go through security check. A pedestrian tunnel connects T1 to T2; the ATS train departs on the upper levels.

That advice is 100% incorrect. You can walk from T1 to T2 without having to go through security again. There is no "Tunnel" - it's just a regular walkway connecting the terminals

thanks for reply, but I received to replys one says yes to security and yours no? confused?

I did not include the third option, thinking it may be too complicated: On thsecured upper level departure, right after you walk from T2's gate F8 past gate F1, at right end a connector to Terminal 1, where you will arrive again in the secured area, and where you should proceed to B or C gates (at gate B6, walk past gate B8 (at right), take walkway to C gates, turn left to gate C15.)

I have walked from T1 to T2 without going through security dozens of times, The walkway leaves T1 near the Low B gates (around gate B4-B5). Trust me on this one. wefeb is wrong.

  • KLM/Delta to Easyjet connection time?
    Feb 27, 2013
    1
In a few days I will be flying from Boston on Delta/KLM and arriving at Schiphol at 7:40 a.m. I have a flight to London Southend on Easyjet which leaves at 9:55 a.m. However, there is no baggage agreement between Delta and Easyjet. Is this enough time for me to go through customs, get my bag, and go to the other side of the airport and check in at the Easyjet desk?

Your transfer time at AMS should suffice: On Arrival at AMS all passengers need to go through Passport Control (follow the signs for 'Baggage Hall' on ground level); go through passport control and poceed to the baggage belts. Claim your bags & go through Customs for security. Thereafter take your bag to the Departures level and check them in with EasyJet. NOTE: Arrivals 1 & 2 areas lead up to Departures 1 & 2; and Arrivals 3 & 4 lead up to Departure 3. Departures 1 uses the B, C & D gates; Departures 2 uses the E gates; Departure 3 uses F, G, H & M gates. (Arrivals 1 & 2 and Arrivals 3 & 4 are on opposite sides of the center.) Gate-to-Gate transfers: B & C gates are at the very right end of the bow-shaped terminal; north of it are the C gates arranged in a Y-shape; around the bend are the E gates, followed in the center by the F gates; right thereafter is entry to the G, H & M gates (G gates are to the right, H & M gates to the left). Walking time from the entry of B or C gates all the way over to the entry of G, H or M gates would take about 15 mins.

  • Zurich to IAD to EWR to ABE

Couple in mid 60's (medium speed walkers) have only 1hr 45min to make IAD connection to Newark!! We are supposed to arrive at IAD 3:05 PM on Wed. May 1st!! What are the odds we will be spending the night in Dulles?? United dropped the flight I had originally booked from IAD to ABE which would have given us a much longer connection time! It seems we have no other options! -- Thanx

You should be able to make your connection in time. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/iad, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text. Pay attention to "International Arrivals", "Getting Around" and terminals. Note that after customs clearance procedure, you cannot take the train, but need to take the shuttle bus, meaning that at your connecting terminal you will have to go through security check. (Dulles Airport is located 26 miles from Washington D.C.) If you want to stay overnight, I suggest you search for 'Dulles hotels' - there is no on-airport hotel.

1 hr 45 is sufficient for any domestic connection at Dulles.
