Hello, I am traveling to Brindisi from Colombia next August. I will travel from Bogota to Lisboa on TAP Airlines where I will go through Shenghen immigration and will take my first connection to Rome also with TAP. I will arrive at 18.40 in Terminal 3 and will only have a carry on bag. I plan to take the 19.30 Alitalia flight to Brindisi departing from Terminal 1. If I only have a carry on bag, come from Lisboa and have my FCO - BDS boarding ticket from the web check in, do i have to go through any security checkpoint from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1 or can I just go straight to the gate of the Alitalia flight? I if don't take the 19.30 flight I have to wait 2 hours. Thank you for your information.

I am traveling with United Airlines and will arrive to EWR at 3:58pm and my flight for Boston leaves at 6:10 pm. I am concerned I won't have enough time since I have to go through immigration, customs, re-check my bag, security, etc. Is 2 hours enough? What should I do if I miss my connecting flight? I'm 16 and it's my first time traveling by myself and I don't know where to go if I miss my flight. Thank you!

Hi I flying to Costa Rica FROM IAH. My first flight is CLEVELAND to IAH. Then I have a 2:10 hr layover. Is this enough time to get through customs and to my gate? Lets say even If I'm delayed 30 minutes as United is notorious for flight delays. And I know a lot of international terminals close an hour early. Can someone help? My husband and I will be flying in from Tucson on October 15 flight LH8953 and we have 1 hour from arrival till our next flight on LH0447 to Germany. Will we have enough time to make it?

You will go through US Immigration, claim your baggage, go through US Customs, then re-check your baggage in the international terminal at ATL. Then there is a special security checkpoint that you go through that leads to the plane train that will take you to the concourse for your departing domestic flight.

  • Will a 45 min layover be enough time?

I'm flying in from Toronto to O'Hare and catching a connecting flight to Tokyo. The layover time is 45 minutes. Will that be enough? Do I have to pick up my luggage and go through immigration and all that jazz? Or will I be able to just walk from one plane to another?

It will take 10-15 minutes. However, delays, especially on inbound domestic flights at JFK are very common, so it's good that you have some buffer.

Thank you! I'll sleep easier tonight!

I arrive on SAA at 6:25am and need to catch United Airlines to Boston at 8:25am. Will I have enough time?

Yes, but it leaves no time to spare if there are any delays.

I land in LGA at 6pm in terminal d, I have a flight on american that leaves at 7:25 p.m. in Terminal B - how long is the walk or is there a shuttle?

No, that is not a specific service that you pay for or reserve. Cape Air provides it if needed when they are able to as a courtesy.
