On 28.12.12 I am arriving from LAS on DE 4083 at 13:30 and then departing on JU 351 to BEG at 14:50. These flights are not being purchased as connecting, but rather separate flights. Is there enough time to clear passport control, claim baggage, check-in and board the JU 351 flight?

You arrive at FRA via Condor Airlines and depart via Jat Airways, both using Terminal 1, Concourse C gates. You need to go through non-Schengen passport conrol, then pick up your bags, check them in and get your boarding pass for your connecting flight: If you do not yet have a boarding card for your connecting flight, you can obtain one at the gate or at the Transfer Desk in the B Concourse of Terminal 1. FRA has excellent directional signs. Your time is tight, hurry.

is there a place in terminal 1 to exchange US/Canadian dollars?

At YYZ, try these currency exchanges: ICE Currency Service 416-776-1311 - throughout Terminal 1. Travelex Canada Limited: 416-776-2497 - Terminal 3, arrivals level, at international pre-security; and 416-776-2491 - Terminal 3, departure level, post-security.

How do I got from Terminal E to Terminal D? I read that Terminal E doesn't connect to the other terminals?? Any help would be appreciated. My flight is today.

At DFW, to get from one terminal to the other you have two options. (a) The free Skylink train runs inside the post-security area of each of the five terminals, starting at the International Terminal D at gates D2, D20, D25 & D34, and connecting to the other terminals by two Skylink stations each (close to the left and right end). It runs every 2 mins and takes about 5 minutes of transfer time on average. Terminals A, B, C & E Skylink stations are between gates A13-16 & A29-34, B9-12 & B28-31, C8-12 & C27-32, and E8-11 & E31-32 . (b) Alternatively, free 'Terminal Link' blue & green accessible vans transfer passengers outside the baggage claim of each terminal, running every 10 minutes, 5am-midnight, thereafter call 972-574-5465. Nearest pick-up/drop-off areas at corresponding terminals are beween: A15-16 & A25-26; B12-13 & B23; C12-15 & C24-27; D17 and D24; E9-13 & E18-21.

if you are flying in from a delta airplane, and are flying out to your destination from a delta, would they be located on the same concourse/terminal?

At MSP, Delta uses all but Concourse E of the Lindbergh Terminal. Your ticket and the overhead screens will indicate your flight number and departure Concourse /gate. This is the Terminal layout: the upper level is surrounded on three sides by Concourses A through G - Concourses E & F are in the center with Concourse D, C, A & B to the right and Concourse G to the left: Concourse A has gates A1-14 (Concourse B can be reached by tunnel) Concourse B (opposite Concourse A) has on the upper level gates B1-16, and on the lower level a tunnel to of Concourses A/C. Concourse C has gates 1-27, the Delta Sky Club at C11, and a cross walk to Concourse G near gate C12. Concourse D to the right of the center, has gates D1-D6. Concourse E has gates E1-E16. Concourse F has gates F1-F16. Concourse G has gates 1-10 & 11-22 (with security checkpoint & international arrivals facility in the center), and a crosswalk to Concourse C near gate G18.

I am arriving to Terminal A at 17.29 and need to catch an international flight from Terminal C at 18.12. What is the fastest way to get between A and C? Will I have to go through security again?

At EWR you have two options to connect from TA to TAC: (a) hop on the AirTrain (serving pre-security, non-sterile areas of all terminals and free within the Airport)taking minutes. (b) You can also take the shuttle bus from TA to TC. Both options require you to go through security check at TC. Concourse level has three gateways leading to (a) gate area C1 is arranged in a Y-shape, with gates C70 to C99; (b) Gateway C2 has gates C101 to C115; and (c) Gate area C3 has gates C120 to C139. The Shuttle Bus from Terminal C to Terminal A stops at gateway C1, near gate C71. The AirTrain Station is on the Upper Level's center.

Is there a car rental place at JFK open at midnight on sunday evenings?

Most rental car agencies close way before midnight. You need to search each major rental agency separately.

We will be flying Delta from JFK to Beijing SEA then from SEA to Beijing but will have only about 30 minutes to make the connection. Is it possible?

As Delta uses the South Satellite, with gates S1 - S13, for all of its flights, you merely transfer from gate to gate.

  • Car rental locations at FCO?

I will be arriving in Rome from Charlotte on USAir. After customs how do I find the Europcar rental location at FCO?

At FCO, rental car counters are located in the pedestrian tunnels linking the air terminal to levels B & D of the multi-story carpark, and are accessible from the domestic arrivals area (follow sign).

  • Will I have enough time?

I'm arriving on Flight KL6038 from Atlanta at 8.25AM and my departure flight is KL0571 at 10:05AM to Kilimanjaro. This is only a 1 hour and 40 minutes layover. I can't really find out what is normally the arrival gate for this Atlanta flight in AMS. Does anyone know this? I'm wondering if I will have enough time to make my flight as well as whether my checked baggage will make it to my next flight to Kilimanjaro. Thanks!

While I cannot give you the gate number for Arrival/ Departure at AMS - this is what you need to transfer: (a) Arrivals 1 & 2 areas lead up to Departures 1 & 2; and Arrivals 3 & 4 lead up to Departure 3. Departures 1 uses the B & D gates; Departures 2 uses the E gates; Departure 3 uses F, G, H & M gates. (c) At transfer kiosks you can check connecting flight information or book a new fight. Transfer desks T2 & T3 are located in Lounge 1; desks T4 & T5 at D gate area; desk T6 at E gate area & desk T9 at G gate area. (d) B & C gates are at the very right end of the bow-shaped terminal; north of it are the C gates arranged in a Y-shape; around the bend are the E gates, followed in the center by the F gates; right thereafter is entry to the G, H & M gates (G gates are to the right, H & M gates to the left). Walking from the entry of B or C gates all the way over to the entry of G, H or M gates would take about 15 mins. Walking to the end of B gates takes 15 mins; for the C gates 7 mins; for the D gates 8 mins; for the E gates 1 min; for the F gates in the Center 2 mins; for the G gates 5 mins; and for the H & M gates 7 mins.

  • Conxn from sicily-al italia to us-delta

Am I correct that Al Italia flights arriving from catania sicily use Terminal 1 at FCO? I have a tight connection to a JFK Delta flight which leaves out of T5. Any suggestions on fastest way to do that? ie, minimal time needed? FYI: catania-fco flight is scheduled to arrive at 12 noon and delta-JFK flight scheduled to depart at 1:05 pm. Thoughts? Thanks!

    1. Find out if Alitalia transfers your bags to Delta - if not you need to claim them first at T1 and take them along to T2, checking them in with Delta. When arriving at T1, take the shuttle bus to Terminal 5's boarding area G. The shuttle runs every 15 mins.

We have booked a flight with UA 101 on Sat Oct 6th arriving 15.08. We then connect to JAX flight UA3448 at 16.51. Would you please help us to navigate across the airport for this flight. The connection time of 1.43hrs now sounds tight. Please could you advise us. Thank you.

    1. On arrival at IAD at the International Midfield Concourse D - follow signs 'TO BAGGAGE CLAIM / GROUND TRANSPORTATION'- international arrivals will board the shuttle to US Customs at the International Arrivals Building located at the west end of the main terminal for TSA clearance: there you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - & if transferring to another flight re-check-in bags (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). Thereafter, International arrivals who continue their journey cannot use the AeroTrain, but need to take the shuttle bus to their connecting gate - signs will guide you. United uses domestic Midfield Concourses A, B & C (gates A1-32, B35-79; C1-30. Your ticket & on arrival at IAD the overhead screens will give you the connecting flight details.

flying from US on United arrive at T1 at 6:55am, am thinking about taking an AF flight out of 2G at 8;45am. Is that enough time? How long is the shuttle bus? Thanks!

On arrival at FCO you have 2 options to get to Satellite 2G - (a) A light-rail shuttle, the CDGVAL, links terminals; (b) Use T1's underground moving walkways which serves all seven separate satellites. You have enough time.
