  • Transfer from Terminal F to Terminal A

I arrive at gate F39 at 501 PM and am connecting to a flight leaving from terminal A8 at 6:05 PM for Zurich. Can I make it?

Your US Airways Express arrives in Terminal F of PHL Airport and its shuttle bus will take you from gate F14 to Terminal E-East, gate A1 - you have enough time!

I will be arriving from Kansas CIty into Washington at 900p then connecting to an international flight to Kuwait at 940p. Not sure which terminals they will arrive/depart from. Is 40 minutes enough time to get from one to the other? This will take place in Feb if that makes any difference.

Arrivals & departures depend on which airline you are taking. (Do make sure that your first airline will transfer bags to your connecting airline - if not, you would need to claim your bag on arrival and re-check it in at the second airline's counter. I strongly suggest you open www.ifly.com/iad - then click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, and scroll down to the detailed text. Also click on "Flights & Airlines"/ Airlines Served - indicating which airlines serve which terminal/concourse or gate. 40 mins is tight, particularly if your incoming flight is late.

How long does it take to get between terminal E and terminal F? Is there a tunnel or must I cross the surface streets?

Oh, the joys of CDG - they are in the process of adding another satellite and switching airlines around. You are arriving at Terminal T2-E and depart at T2-F. What you need to do: open aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/en-GB/Passagers/Access-maps-car-parks/guide-connection-flight/ - click on your arriving and on your departing terminals; then follow instructions below it for either international flight connections or other connections.

  • Transfer at Chicago to Cancun

I am flying United Air from Mpls to Chicago with 52 minute layover. Will that be enough time to make a Cancun connection?

If arriving and departing via United Airlines, note that United uses Terminals 1, 2 & 5. T1 has B & C gates, T2 has E & F gates and T5 has M gates. On arrival look up at the screens to find your departing flight & gate; then follow signs to the ATS shuttle train running every few mins between the terminals. You have enough time.

Your arrival and departure gates will both be in T1. If your MSP-ORD flight is on-time you will be fine.

Hi, I'll be coming in from MSY on Feb28@0905pm and have to continue to FRA@2150. Is 45 minutes really enough????? Thanks for the help

    Sorry ... that was November28 ;-)

On arrival at IAD follow sign'To Baggage Claim / Ground Transportation" - then follow the AeroTrain sign. This underground train servees gates A1-32, B35-79 & C1-30. Your ticket & overhead screens on arrival should indicate your departure gate number. You have enough time.

Hi, we will be arriving in FRA from Canada and have a connecting flight to Athens on Lufthansa. The time between flights is only 1 hour and 55 minutes. Will that be enough time to clear passport control and not miss our flight?

I can't find a map that shows WHERE to drop off a passenger at Terminal D. Lots of Terminal maps, but why not show drop-off area??

At IAH, Terminal passenger dropoff is at the right end of Terminal D (pickup at left end, with exit & entry doors in between.

  • Layover time for senior traveler

I am booking a flight for my 82 year old grandmother who will be traveling alone. She will return from Puerto Vallarta on AA landing at 6:30pm at terminal D and has a connection with AA at another terminal (doesn't specify which one) leaving at 8pm (to Pittsburgh). I am wondering if this is enough time for her, given that she has to go through customs, etc. There is another option, which gives her a 3.5hr layover vs the 1.5hrs mentioned above, any suggestion on which would be better for her? If she requests a wheelchair will they take her through the entire process and will it be quicker? Thanks in advance!

While your mother's arrival at DFW is in Terminal D, where she needs to go through passport check, pick up her bag (if she has a checked bag) and go through customs clearance, then re-check-in bag where indicated. American Eagle uses Terminals B & D, American Airlines uses domestic flight Terminals A & C - all with corresponding gates (i.e., gate A17). The free Skylink train runs inside the post-security area of each of the five terminals, starting at the International Terminal D at gates D2, D20, D25 & D34, and connecting to the other terminals by two Skylink stations each (close to the left and right end). It runs every 2 mins and takes about 5 minutes of transfer time on average. Terminals A, B, C & E Skylink stations are between gates A13-16 & A29-34, B9-12 & B28-31, C8-12 & C27-32, and E8-11 & E31-32. 1.5 hours is plenty of time for transfer.

  • Connecting to Palermo

I will be arriving on Delta from JFK at 12:05 pm and need to make a connection to Palermo which departs at 1:15 pm. I only have carry-on. What terminal will I arrive in and depart from? Will I have time?

You arrive at Terminal 5, and need to go through their special security checks & passport control. Your departure terminal depends on which airline you use. Your ticket or the overhead screens on arrival at FCO should indicate Terminal or boarding area: Terminal 1 has Boarding Area (BA) B; T2 has BA C, T3 has BAs D, G & H - all with corresponding gates, i.e, G14. Free shuttles run between all terminals and carparks daily, every 15 mins; during 1am-4am you can also request such shuttle by using the intercom situated at every shuttle stop.

  • Terminal 1 - Delta re-check availability
    Nov 14, 2012

II am flying back on AIr China and arriving in in T1. Is Delta available outside customs to re-check my bag for connecting flight?

If Air China does not transfer your bags to the Delta connecting flight, you need, after going through customs clearance, take your bag along to the connecting terminal and check it in there with Delta. Note that Delta uses Terminals 2 (gates 19-29), T3 (gates 1-18) & T4 (gates A2-7 & B20-30). Take the Airtrain at T1 serving all terminals in the unsecured areas; at your connecting terminal you need to go through security check before continuing on to your gate.

they seems connected but arriving and T2 and departing at T3, any requirements? this is for a US green card holder with no air transit visa on hand

T1 & T2 are joined & share Arrivals level - while T1 is for domestic & Schengen flights, T2 serves both Schengen & Non-Schengen domestic flights. You might have to go through non-Schengen control before proceeding to your connecting gate. T1 houses Boarding Area B with gates B1-30; T2 houses Boarding Area C with gates C1-7 & C3-16.

  • SW TO CAPE AIR

I'M FLYING IN ON SW AND FLY OUT ON CAPE AIR...HOW DO I TRAVEL FROM TERMINAL 2 TO TERMINAL 1, AND DOES IT TAKE A LONG TIME?

    1. If you are an international arrival at STL, note that Terminal 2 has on its lower level Immigration & Customs gates. Unless you have gone through US customs clearance at participating airports in Canada and the Caribbean, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (if SW does not transfer bags to Cape Air, you need to take them with you to T1 to re-check them in with Cape Air. You arrive at E gates and depart from Concourse C (gates C1-24). The free shuttle bus runs continuously between the 2 terminals. At T1 you need to go through security check before continuing to your connecting gate.
