  • which terminal I should check in

I will take UA1178 to SanFrancisco and then take connective flight UA889 to Beijing. I want to know which terminal I should check in, terminal C or E. I was informed the depart gate for UA1178 is E20.

On arrival at IAH, take the above-ground TerminaLink train, which starts its service at the Terminal A station, connects terminals A, B, C, D/E inside security (allow for 30 mins transfer from A to D). At the D/E station follow sign to Concourse E, gate E20.

You can check-in in either Terminal, but since the departure is from E, I would check-in in E.

What is the fastest way to get from Terminal A .Arrival from Charleston, Sc to Terminal C-Departure to Portland, ME? I have 45 Minutes! Thank you!!!

At EWR, a shuttle bus outside runs between TA & TC - at TA (near gate A28), at TC (near gate C71) - no security check needed.

  • From Terminal 8 to Terminal 4 - How long will it take us with luggage?

We will be arriving from Canada at 1145h terminal 8. Our flight to Grenada departs at 1355h terminal 4. The tickets will be purchased separately. Is this ( 2hrs 10 mins ) enough time?

    1. If your Canadian airport does not have U.S. Customs clearance, you will need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance, and then take your bags to your connecting Terminal 4 (as you have separate tickets) - JFK has Terminals 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 & 8 - connected by the Airline Terminals train running counter-clockwise every few minutes in the unsecured areas of the terminal; where you will need to go check in your bag at your connecting airline counter, through through security check and on to your gate.

Will I have enough time to connect from an American airline flight arriving at 5:10pm to a Delta flight departing at 6:00pm

Both AA & DL airlines use Terminal A of IAH, which has gates 1-15 and 17-30 on opposite sides. Just walk over to your connecting gate.

I will be arriving nov 6 from Amsterdam on flight UA908 and need to connect with flight UA510 to Halifax. Can you please tell me the procedure I should follow and what terminals and gates I may be using to help me from getting lost? Thanks

You will arrive in Terminal 5 and clear immigration, claim your bags, go through customs, and re-check your bags all there. You will then have to take the ATS Train to Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 depending on where your Halifax flight will be departing. You probably mean your on Flight 5210 - it could leave from either terminal.

    thanks!

  • From Terminal 2 to Terminal 7 - How long will it take us with luggage?

Hello , i would like to ask how long it will take us from terminal 2 (and wait to collect our luggage) to go to terminal 7... Because we will have 3:30 min to be in our next flight.... We will arrive from LasVegas to JFK with Delta at 14:56 and then try to catch our next Flight with Iberia airlines at Terminal 7...the flights are not connected.. IS it possible? we are just 2 persons..Thnx

Yes you have enough transfer time. (If Your tickets were separately purchased you would need to claim your bags on arrival at T2 and re-check them in at Iberia's T7.) In any case, on arrival at T2 take the 'Airline Terminals' train running continuously between terminals, but counter-clockwise (your next stops would be T1, T8, & T7 - you can take bags onto the train). At T7 (gates 1-12) you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate.

THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!!! ;)

Hi, I am traveling to Dallas from Chicago. I land from the UK at terminal 5 and I only have 1 hour 40 mins to change terminal. Both flights are with AA so will I need to collect lugage? Also will I have enough time to get through passport control and to the next terminal. Very stressed about this. Any help would be appreciated please.

No need to be stressed at this time of the year: You land at the International Terminal 5 (T5) where you will need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag where indicated; then proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System (ATS) station and take the ATS train, which runs every few minutes, to your connecting terminal T3, where you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate. Look at overhead screens to find your flight and gate number. T3 has Concourses G, H, K & L with corresponding gates: Concourse G has gates G1A-G21, (gates G13-G17 are on lower level); Concourse H has gates H1-H18; Concourse K has gates K1-K20; and Concourse L has gates L1-L10 (including gate L2A/B) .

  • Baggage transfer

Hi Flying into DFW from Dubai on Emirates then on to St Louis with AA. Have a 3 hour connection time. I realise I clear customs in terminal D and have to collect my bags but what I am not sure of, is there a baggage recheck in at customs terminal D for AA or do I have to lug my bags all the way to terminal A for check in. I don't exactly travel light and I am in my own. First time connecting through DFW. I just can't seem to find this info anywhere.

    1. If you booked both flights on one ticket, your bags are being transferred automatically after customs clearance & re-check. 2. If booked separately, you would have to take your bags to your connecting Terminal A and check them in with AA (as Emirates & AA do not belong to the same airline alliance - you could use Skycap assistance in this case). 3. To connect from TD to TA, take the free Skylink train (inside the post-security areas) starting at TD's gates D2, D20, D25 & D34, and connecting to the TA Skylink stations between gates A13-16 & A29-34.

  • Terminal F to C

Hi I arriving at terminal F from Miami , and have a connection at Terminal B for Montreal connection of 45minutes ...all flight with Us Airways...I read some terrible review and now im freaking out that I will miss my connection i dont have custom to past only in Montreal ...is the transfert between terminal F and C is easy ?? and will i have time to make my connection or no ???

You are not clear At PHL you arrive at TF and need to connect to TC or TB? US Airways uses all three terminals. Free large shuttle buses, operated by US Airways , make the following connections at post-security areas, where they run fromTerminal F (gate F14) only to either gates C16 or A1; your transfer time will suffice.

  • question about where Southwest/Air Tran and Liat airlines are located

How do I find out where these 2 airlines (Southwest and Liat) board? How can I find a map of the interior of SJU with where the various airlines are located? Thanks in advance, lrj

While SJU has gate areas A - E - some airlines refer to gate areas as concourses, & others to terminals. Liat (LI) is listed as T-B, while Southwest (WN) lists T-B & C25-5 & 29 today. On Arrival look at overhead screens and find your LI flight and gate number. Terminal/Concourse B has gates 32-41; Terminal/Concourse C has gates 20-29. If you need to transfer, simply follow signs.

thank you so much. i'll only have 1 hour & 40 minutes from when WN lands to get to LI's check in desk and then through security and then board...that's why i'm trying to find out how far apart these airlines are. per your commentary, i think i'll only do carryons.

We are flying into Dulles gate C19 from Orlando with United Airlines enroute to London Heathrow with United Airlines from Gate C12 how will our luggage be handled. Do we need to collect it and re-check it for the London flight. We have 50 minutes to complete the transfer?

Only international arrivals at U.S. need to go through customs clearance /re-check-in bags. As you use the same airline for both flights, your bags will automatically be transferred.

  • Enough time to connect to an international flight?

My sister is flying back to Germany on Saturday, January 3, 2014. The first leg of her trip originates at SFO (United 400) and arrives at IAD at 4:40pm, on the D Concourse if I'm not mistaken. She then has 1 hr 10 minutes to make it to the B-Concourse to catch her connecting flight to FRA (Germany) via Lufthansa flight 419 at 5:50pm. Will she be able to catch her flight?? If I understand correctly she can go through the "Domestic Arrivals", so no need to go through security again, which would save time..?

While United uses Midfield Concourses A/B, & C/D, Lufthansa only uses Concourse B (B gates). She should be able to make the transfer within 70 mins. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/iad, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text, paying attention to the transfer options at 'Getting Around'.

Check your sisters return flight details ..I am also booked on flight LH419 on the 3rd January 2014, but the 3rd leaves on a Friday....not a Saturday as you mentioned, but arrives in Germany on Saturday 4th..... wouldn't want your sister turning up on the wrong day.

  • Transfer C to E
    Oct 17, 2013

Hi, I am arriving on JetBlue Term C and transferring to Term E for BA internationsl flight. JetBlue say my luggage will be checked through all the way, so do I just walk from Term C to Term E (2 minutes)? Thanks.

Terminals C & E are next to each other; however, the moving walkways connecting them are in the non-secured area - meaning you would have to go through security check at TE. TE has one 12-lane consolidated checkpoint (right behind the JetBlue ticket counter) for United, JetBlue and Cape Air gates. The gate area has to the left gates C11-20; to the right are two gateways to gates C25-36 and to C40-42.

Thanks, so how long should I allow for the connection?
