  • 31 Min Layover

I have a Delta flight that is arriving at DTW at 9:29am tomorrow and my connection to Charleston is a Delta flight leaving at 10am. Based on what I know from looking at these flights' histories, the plane will land at gate A and my connection will be at gate c7. Is 31 minutes enough time to make my flight??

On Arrival at the McNamara Terminal of DTW Airport, keep in mind that Concourse A has 1.5 miles of moving walkways. Also, the Express Tram stops at the South station near gate A11, the Terminal station in the center near the water feature, and the North station near gate A67. Concourse A has to the left gates A38-A1; to the right gates A40-78, and at its center the tunnel connecting to Concourse B to the left and Concourse C to the right. Concourse C has gates C1-C43 on opposite sides - and the elevator between Concourses B & C leads to the Lower Level gates C1 to C7 (your connecting gate).

  • Is 1h20mn enough for a layover?

I'm flying with Delta from Paris (CDG) to DTW and then to Chicago Midway (MDW) on December. I have a 1h20mn layover in DTW. Knowing that I need to go through passport check, get my luggage, go through customs, check-in my luggage again and that i might be quite crowded at this time of the year, will I have enough time catch the plane to Chicago?

Your arrival at, and departure from DTW Airport depends on which airlines you are using, and whether you need to transfer between McNamara & North Terminals. I strongly suggest you open www.ifly.com/dtw, then click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, and scroll down to the detailed text. Customs clearance itself can take anywhere from 35-65 mins.

If coming from Paris you will be arriving into the McNamara terminal. if your flight to MDW is on Delta, then you just need to recheck after customs and then go upstairs, the across to the other concourse for your flight to MDW. This is doable if your flight from Paris is on time. If your flight to MDW is on Southwest you will have to go to the North Terminal with your bags and recheck at the Southwest ticket counter in the North Terminal. I highly recommend that you rebook for a later flight if your DTW-MDW flight is on Southwest

I will arrive at Terminal 4 and connecting with delta air at terminal 3, but i must take may baggage first and check in again, where is baggage claim at terminal 4? , how procedure to do that and how take time is it? thank you

The Baggage Claim at all JFK terminals is on the ground level - on arrival, signs will guide you. Terminals 3 & 4 are next to each other - take your bag to T3 and check it in at the check-in counter; also make sure you have a boarding pass for your connecting flight. At T3, after checking in, you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. NOTE: If you are an international arrival at T4 you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bag & go through customs clearance first.

what gate does cape air fly out of?

    At what airport?

At STL, Cape Air uses Terminal 1, Concourse C, which has gates C1-24.

arriving terminal 3- gate g2b, depart terminal 3- gate k19- do I need to go up one level to depart and if so- how?

If you are an International Arrival at ORD and have not gone through US security check at your original participating Airport (like Canada), you need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance and then re-check-in your bag where indicated. The Upper Level serves Departures, leading to Concourse L to the left, the Y-shaped gateway to Concourses K & H in the center and to Concourse G to the left. Signs will guide you. Concourse G has gates G1A-G21, and Concourse K has gates K1-K19.

You just need to walk from G to K. There's signs. It's not very hard. It's all in the same terminal.

  • Pier A+ not in the map?

why is concourse A+ not in the map? Its an additional pier, not just integrated into A (like you did). The whole pier is missing in the drawings....

Concourse A is on the ifly map: see http://www.ifly.com/frankfurt-airport/FRA-Concourse-A; and the text under the map does refer to A+ opening. However, the person charged with maps has not yet had a chance to make the change (overwhelmed by so many Airport around the world adding new terminals, etc.) I see from Frankfurt AP map that Concourse A now branches into to arms, one with gates A1-42 & another (A+) with gates 50-69).

Travel tomorrow is messed up due to flight crew delay. Right now we will get to Denver at B79....flying out of Gate B92 to Vancouver. Due to Delay we get in at 11:16 (as of now) and supposed to leave at 11:34. I have been on hold with United for 3 hrs. is this even possible

As of 10/28, 8:42am Denver time, I see no special announcement on the Denver Airport site. I suggest you open http://www.flydenver.com/flights ad input your info there.

I will be flying on US Air from Knoxville to JFK with a stopover in CLT. The flrst leg from Knoxville to CLT is on US Air Express-PSA Airlines. Do I need to collect and recheck my baggage or go through Immigration and security again?

You arrive at CLT at Concourse D, walk towards the Atrium (ticketing area) and go to your connecting Concourse. US Airways is using Concourses B, C & D, with corresponding gate numbers (on arrival look at overhead screens to find your flight number, gate and departure time. Concourses A-E surround the Atrium - no shuttle needed. P.S.: Only international ARRIVALS need to go through customs clearance procedure. Your bags will be transferred to your connecting flight.

  • 10/28/12 Connecting problem

We are 4Psgr arriving at T2 by AF at 02.15PM connecting DL T5 leaving 03.24PM to LAS. This is our first time travel how could we proceed to cash our flight Thank you for reply and your cooperation

    1. You need to first find out if Air France transfers your bags at LAX to your connecting Delta flight - if not, you would have to take your bag from T2 to T5 & check it in at Delta counter. 2. As an international arrival at LAX Airport, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes) - estimated time: 35-40 mins. 3. Thereafter you need to exit T2 and take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Your next stops after T2 will be T3, TBIT, T4, T5 - 4 stops or 10 mins. 4. At T5 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. (T5 has gates 50-69). No time to waste!

I m flying to Brasil and my flight parture at 7 pm from Baltimore and arrive at 9.02 pm in south terminal. My conection to Brasil is 9.50 pm in Maynard Jackson Intl terminal. 50 min is possible to get a flight? How do I get this map? Thank you.

    1. Terminal layout at ATL: The Domestic Passenger Terminal at ATL houses the Ground Transportation Center, an Atrium, a Main Security Checkpoint leading to North & South Security checkpoints, and on either side of the Main Terminal the North & South Terminals; its Concourse T is attached to the Main terminal, with separate buildings for Concourses A through D, parallel to one another and arranged successively in distance from the main terminal. (Note that international Concourse E - the last of the five successive buildings - is now part of the new International Terminal.) 2. Connecting: All Concourses - domestic & international - are connected by the underground 'Plane Train' stopping at the center of each Concourse. 3. Arriving from a domestic flight & transferring to an international flight: (a) if arriving on a single ticket, you can proceed to your connecting gate. (b) if arriving on two or more tickets issued by non-participating airlines, you need to collect your bags and take them with you on the terminal connector shuttle located at the ground transport center; from there it takes 15 minutes to get to the International Terminal, where you have to check-in your bag again and then go through security and on to your gates. - your time should be sufficient.

At Miami Int. airport can you walk from one end of concourse D to the other end in 40 minutes? Does the people mover cover the distant quicker?

At Miami Airport, North Terminal's Concourse D is one mile long and has 60 gates. It is served by the Skytrain on its roof with 4 stations, running between the east and west Gates and completing its route within 5 minutes: Station 1 stops at gaste D17; Station 2 stops at domestic baggage claim and serves gates D20-25.; Station 3 serves gats D26-39; and station 4 serves gates D40-60.
