  • 1:45 minute layover in Denver, customs then get on another United flig
    Jun 10, 2014
I am looking to book a flight from Regina, to Salt Lake City and the quickest and cheapest route takes me through Denver International Airport. I would have a 1:45 minute layover, both my flights would be with United, however I would have to go through US customs in Denver. It also looks like it will be hard to get all my luggage as carry on... will I have to get my bags or will they move them to the next plane for me? And will I have enough time? What would happen if I missed my flight? Thank you so much to anybody who can help in anyway!

Note that your first flight will be operated by United. You will arrive on concourse B and take the underground train to Concourse A where your Lufthansa flight will depart. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time. That is all you have to do (no security, nothing with baggage).

  • 1 hour connection time with United
    Jul 22, 2014
I will be flying into LAX from Denver on a United Airlines flight, then onwards to Narita on a United Airlines flight also. The connection time is 1 hour and 1 minute only. Would that be enough time to make it to the next flight? I believe the terminal for the incoming and outgoing flights are both in terminal 7. Thanks.

If you're in the same terminal, that should be OK. You'll do int'l check-in in Denver, and then just have to deplane and head to the other gate. If it's another terminal, it'll be tough. Are you sure you aren't heading out from TBIT?

  • Enough time and connecting terminals
    Jun 2, 2014
Hello, I'm travelling from LAX to IAH on United1565, arriving at 4:50pm, my connection flight to Managua, Nicaragua departs at 5:40PM on United as well and the layover is 50 minutes. Will I have enough time to make my connection flight and what's fastest way to get around this airport? Thanks

  • Transferring from Concourse H to Concourse J
    Jun 9, 2014
Is it possible to go from Concourse H to Concourse J without having to exit the airside area and go through security to get onto Concourse J?

There's not much you can do in the time you will be in New York. You could ride the train into the city but you'd have to turn right back around when you got there pretty much. You could take a cab to Flushing Meadows Corona Park where the 1964 World's Fair was, but it's not that interesting and you'd have to call to get a cab to take you back to the airport.

  • Barcelona - Frankfurt - ShangHai
    Jun 2, 2014
Hello, I arrive with Lufhtansa to Frankfurt airport at 18.55h and I have to connect with the fly to Shangai at 20h (Air China). Do I have time enough? I think that they are in the same Terminal... Somebody can help me? Thank you

I'll be arriving at JFK T4 (EygetAirlines ) @ 15:15 and my separated ticket with luggege as international to T8 American Airlines departured @ 17:45 will that be enough to go uncheck and check the luggege and go though customs ?

No, you don't have to do anything with your baggage in O'Hare. You just have to go from your arrrival gate to your departure gate. You will go through Canadian Immigration when you get to Ottawa. On the return, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Ottawa and your connection in O'Hare will again just be like a domestic flight.

Thanks so much! It makes me more at ease!

I forgot to mention that I am not a US Citizen. I am a permenant resident. Does that change the process??

No, that does not change anything.

Another question I wanted to know. What kind of food & bag size ( food) can I bring in my cary on??

You can bring any food you want as long as it's not liquid or gel. Both of your flights have very small overhead bins, so if you actually want to bring it on the plane it should fit under the seat in front of you.

    Ok! Thanks!

  • 90mins transfer at O'Hare
    Jun 2, 2014
Hi! I'll be arriving to ORD at 2:45pm (ANA 1012 arriving from Narita) and will need to catch a UNITED flight to Washington DC (IDA) at 4:15pm. Will I need to claim my baggage, go through security, change terminals, and then check-in again? Will the time be enough for me to go through all of these steps? I'm debating whether to just bring carry-on luggage so I don't need to worry about this short transfer time. Thank you very much!

  • 1:48 International to Domestic connection
    Jun 2, 2014
I'll arrive from Brussels (DL81) on Saturday July 23 - 14:50 and have a 1:48 layover to catch the next flight to San Diego (also Delta, same reservation). It's my 4th time in the US so I start getting used to it, but this time I'll travel with my wife and our 3 kids 10-7-4, and it's my first time in ATL. I understand we'll arrive at either concourse E or F, and both terminals have CBP points. Do I have to claim and recheck my checked bags? I guess I have as this is our first stop in the US. But where is the baggage claim? Is it in Concourse F whatever the concourse I'll arrive too? For the international terminal this looks quite straight forward, but if we arrive in concourse E, we would: -clear CBP in concourse E -take the Plane Train to intl baggage claim in concourse F -claim our bags, clear customs, and recheck the bags -pass the security checkpoint (the international one?) -take the Plane Train to terminal A or T -find our gate and board on the plane to San Diego Does this sound correct? This definitely sounds challenging in 1:48 with the kids... Any tips to make it? -I've read it's better to get in the first car of the train - is this right? -Do we all have to claim the checked bags or 1 person is enough (the other ones could directly get to the domestic concourse for instance...) Many thanks

  • from Finnair to American Airlines
    Jun 2, 2014
I am on Finnair AY0005 arriving 15.50 and then continuing on American Airlines AA0181 at 17.30 to Los Angeles. It is one ticket so I think the luggage is checked through to LA. How do I do the transfer? Is the time enough? I still need to pick up my luggage?

  • Terminals?
    Jun 8, 2014
I am flying Qantas codeshare Emirates arriving in Rome at 13.15hrs and departing with Alitalia to Lamezia at 16.40hrs. Will my flight arrive at Terminal 3 and do I have sufficient time for the transfer

    Terminal 2 to Terminal 3.

You will have to collect your luggage as Easyjet does not check bags through to other airlines. However, there will be no customs or immigration in Rome as both Italy and Greece are within Schengen. You will go through US Immigration and Customs when you get to SFO. You should have enough time.
