  • From LHR to LAX to FAI

Arriving on May 8 at LAX (515pm) from LHR, then have a flight from LAX to FAI on Alaska Airlines, departing at 735pm. Is this enough time to get through customs and to terminal? Tickets bought separately, possibly checked one checked bag

That should barely be enough time. Since you are buying separate tickets you will have to bring your bag yourself to Terminal 6 to Re-check your bag.

Thank you for the quick response! Would it be better to get a later flight or do you think it is actually possible to make this one? the later flight involves an extra plane and a 4 hour layover in ANC so i'd like to avoid that if possible.

Yes, it's possible, but there's obviously some risk involved.

  • International-Domestic Connection Time

I am arriving at JFK on an international flight to terminal 4 at 9:05 PM. I have to make it to an 11 PM domestic flight out of terminal 5. Is 2 hours enough time to go through customs, collect baggage, and make it to the flight?

Did you purchase your tickets together or separately? What airline are you flying into Terminal 4? If you purchased tickets together you should be OK. If separately it might be hard for you to get to T5 in time to check your bag, so you might want to consider just bringing a carry-on if that's possible. Then you can just check-in online for your JetBlue flight before leaving on your first flight.

I am flying from Tirana to Linate via FCO airport. My ticket is from Alitalia and its not a separate tickdt. My plane arrives at terminal 3 at 7:15 and the other plane leaves from terminal 1 at 8:20. Is it enough time ? Will i pass through schengen control? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you will go through schengen passport control in Rome. You should have enough time.

How much time do I need in Newark ? Or, can part of the Customs/Immigration be done in Montreal prior.

Montreal has US Immigration and Customs preclearance. An hour is enough time in Newark.

If that is the case in Montreal, how much time will I need there ???

    60-90 minutes

arriving in chicago at 9:50 and departureon a flight to China at 10:40 on same airline UA. WILL i HAVE ENOUGH TIME.? iS THERE ANY ESCORT TO TRANSPORT ME TO NEXT GATE AND TROUGHT SECURITYO THE NEXT FLIGHT?

You do not have to go through security. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All United gates are connected inside security. You do not need an escort.

  • Layover in Rome enough time?

Hi, We have a flight from LAX to FCO that gets there at 1:10 and a connecting flight to Madrid that leaves at 2:20. These are both on Alitalia. It looks like the first flight arrives in Terminal 3 and the connecting one leaves from Terminal 1.

That should barely be enough time. Follow the signs to your departure gate. You will go through Schengen passport control on your route.

I am flying from Phoenix to Atlanta (Delta) and transfer to Paris (Air France) and layover is only 55 minutes according to the ticket information in AirFrance website. DL and AF are code-shared. Is it enough time to move along the concourse? Do I need to go through security again when entering into international terminal? or are all the concourses connected within one security area requiring no more hassles with TSA?

You will not have to go through security in Atlanta. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • PVR - DFW - MCI

American is selling a flight from PVR to MCI that only gives 1h 9min in DFW to connect. Are US TSA checks done in PVR to allow for such a short layover? If not, is this even realistic to clear US customs and Immigration? Hesitant to buy this kind of ticket.

No, that is a completely impossible connection. You need at least 90 minutes, preferably 2 hours, in DFW for an International to Domestic connection.

EWR-AMS-OTP (delta, KLM) is 1 hour 40 minutes long enough connection? I have 2 children under 5

Yes, that should be enough time. Since you will not be entering the Schengen Area you will not have to go through passport control - just walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate and go through security.

We arrive on a SAA flight from Johannesburg at 06h40 at JFK. We are planning to fly out on JetBlue at 09h31 to Orlando. Is 2:50 hours enough to clear customs, collect baggage, change terminals and recheck?

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • just 38 mins for transfer at Denver

Hi there, flying from Las Vegas to Calgary, stop in Denver just for 38 mins, is it enough to transfer from AC 5050 to AC 5202. It should be Air Canada operated by United, are they waitng for each other? thanks a lot

Your second flight likely will not wait for you. However, if your first flight is on-time you should have enough time. All United flights at DEN are in the B concourse and it shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes to get between gates.

thanks for quick answer! do I suppose corrctlu that I go through the security before my first flight in Las Vegas and in Denver I dont need to go "outside" or take care about my luggage?

Correct, you will go through security in Las Vegas and only need to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Denver. You will go through Canadian immigration and customs when you get to Calgary.

  • LAX - IAH - ZIH

Any help is gratefully received. We're flying with United from LAX in to IAH (Terminal C) and then back out again to ZIH, Mexico (Terminal B, I think) We only have 1 hour and 7 minutes between the two flights. Will this be enough time, do you think?

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. Terminals B and C are connected inside security by the TerminaLink train.

  • Time to go from Terminal B to A

Looking at flights right now. All options give only 1h 15min layover. We'd be coming in on United and leaving on Great Lakes Airlines. Is that long enough to get from Terminal B to Terminal A (will be traveling with a 7 month old).

A and B are concourses, not Terminals. They are connected inside security by an underground train. Your connection should take less than 15 minutes.

Traveling thru Phil with a connecting flight to London with an hour and 10 minutes in between Is this enough time to make my connection. I arrive at terminal F and leave from Terminal A

Yes, that should be enough time. You can take a shuttle bus inside security from Terminal F to Terminal A.
