Flying from Charlotte to Hyderabad. Arriving to Terminal A and has to connect Air India at Terminal B, time gap is 1hr 30min. Is this time sufficient?? I am checking in at CLT directly to HYD and has one ticket by United, only carry bag with me..pls give directions at the airport between the terminals and is I need to pass through the security again, if so How long its going to take?? Kindly suggest..

You just have to take the airtrain from Terminal A to Terminal B, get your Air India boarding pass if you don't already have it, and go through security. The whole process shouldn't take more than 30 mins,.

Hi, I am planning a trip to saint Thomas Virginia island with my family. I'll be arriving to JFK from Istanbul (international flight) at 11:20 am at terminal 1. Then I'll have to go through customs, visa etc get my bags and head to terminal 4 to catch my flight to STT which departs at 1:59 pm. Of course I have to check in my bags at terminal 4 etc. do u think 2 hrs and 40 mins layover is enough time to catch my connecting flight? I am worried because I don't know JFK and I am not sure how long they usually take at customs for internationals Thnx

Are you purchasing two separate tickets or are you purchasing your tickets together? What airlines are you flying?

So sorry forgot to mention that. Purchasing Two separate tickets!

Coming in on Turkish airlines to JFK and then American Airlines to STT

American Airlines uses Terminal 8, not Terminal 4. 2 hrs 40 minutes is barely enough time if the first flight is on-time.

We are scheduled to land at JFK on May 3 at 5:03 p.m. (Delta) and catch a Delta flight to MXP at 6:21. Is this enough time?

Yes, that should be plenty of time. You will arrive in Terminal 2 or 4 and depart from Terminal 4. if you arrive in Terminal 2 there is a shuttle bus inside security between T2 and T4.

  • Is 40 min enough connection time for a United flight?

thinking of booking a united flight from Den to YQB (Quebec) with connection through ORD but layover is only 40 min and I'll have luggage. Is that enough time for me and bags to transfer?

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. However, I personally would try to get an earlier flight from Denver because as you know there aren't many flights from the US to YQB.

    Thanks!

  • 39 minute layover sufficient?

Is a 39 minute layover in Denver from a flight coming from Fargo, and going to Seattle, enough time to catch the connecting flight to Seattle? Both flights are United. Are the gates in the same area? It seems like a lot of United flights have tight connections.

All United gates in Denver are on the B concourse. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

I am flying to Seoul on June 19. I booked a 12.45 pm flight that drives in Detroit at 2.14 pm. My next flight leaves at 3.42 pm. Both flights are Delta. Does this give me enough time to get on the next flight, because a little panic is starting to set in.

Yes, that should be plenty of time. All Delta flights in Detroit are in the McNamara Terminal.

That's good to know. Thank you for your quick response.

  • Terminal A west to Terminal F in two hours

Im flying from Dublin Ireland, into terminal A west. Ive been told by some that I do pre-clearance customs in ireland, so i only need to go through security? Also do I do this before I take the shuttle to terminal F? HELP. can someone just lay out how this whole thing will happen.

You won't even have to go through security in Philadelphia. Your arrival into Philadelphia will be like a domestic flight. You just have to take the shuttle to Terminal F. You have plenty of time.

I will have about 90 mins to connect in SEA to LAS coming from NRT on Delta. Is this enough time to clear customs, get to the gate, etc?

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • ATL to AMS to BRU (can I skip BRU and stay in AMS)?
    Apr 28, 2015

Looking to book a flight from ATL to AMS. Airfare is $400 cheaper if I book a flight to BRU that connects in AMS (ATL to AMS to BRU). Is it OK for me to just skip my connecting flight and stay in AMS? Do I collect my bags in AMS or would they be automatically routed to the next plane? Will passport control give me any hassle?

Your bags will be checked through to BRU. You will have to take the flight to BRU unless you don't particularly care about your baggage.

  • FRA- Dubai - 1hr. 45 mins layover

Dear All, I am traveling with kids to Dubai via Frankfurt. We will be traveling from Miami through American Airlines to FRA. In frankfurt, the layover period is 1hr 45 mins. My connecting flight is Emirates; I am not sure of the terminals. Is it possible to catch the Emirates flight? Please advise.....

Did you purchase your tickets together or separately? Will you have checked baggage? It helps that both American and Emirates use Terminal 2 concourse E.

I had purchased tickets separately, checked baggage need to be transferred directly, because we didn't,t have Frankfurt visa... Thanks much

Well, since you purchased separate tickets, American is under no obligation to transfer your baggage to Emirates. You will either have to get a Schengen Transit Visa or you may be leaving your baggage behind in Frankfurt.

I arrive to Trrminal A at 7:20 and have a flight in Terminal C leaving at 8:10. I have only carry on luggage. Will I make it

Yes, that should be enough time. United operates a shuttle bus between their gates in A and C inside security.

Are there golf cart transport for handicap assengerd?

Yes, golf carts are for handicapped passengers. If there is no golf cart available or one isn't necessary they will just push the wheelchair from place to place.

Do that carts circulate or do you book them with the airline when checking in for the hour first leg of the flight?

Carts don't just circulate looking for people to pick up. You need to request wheelchair service from your airline.

I am flying in from Amsterdam to JFK arriving at 11.49am on 26th May in Terminal 4. I have a connecting flight (booked separately) with Delta at 12.59pm on the same day from JFK to Tulsa- What is the likelihood that I make this connection? I was considering booking a flight for 14.45pm with either AA or US airways that day in case I miss my connection- is this enough time?

Unless your flight is early, it will be difficult for you to make it, especially if you have checked baggage. I would book the later flight.

I am flying into SEA from LAX, and connecting to Shanghai, China in May 1st. What gate will I be arriving in? What gate will I be departing from? Is 35 minutes connecting time enough?

You will arrive in the A, C, or S gates and depart from the S gates. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Hello we're flying with Delta from Brussels to Los Angeles with a 85 minute connection in Atlanta. We will have to change terminal but I don't know them yet. Will we have enough time to go through US Immigration and Customs and then change terminal ? Thanks.

You don't actually have to change terminals. You will arrive in the E or F gates, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, and re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and take the Plane Train to your departure concourse. 85 minutes is 5 minutes less than the recommended time. If you do miss your connection Delta has lots of flights from Atlanta to Los Angeles.
