Hi, I'm coming from LAS and have a onward flight to AMS. The connecting time between these two flights will be 42 minutes. Is it possible to make it? Thanks!

Yes, that is very possible. All Delta gates are connected inside security at MSP.

  • TBIT to T3

i read a lot about that topic, but i'm still not sure if we should take the following flight: we'll arrive at 12:40pm at TBIT from Germany and must do the immigration, pick up our baggages and all of that. now, we are thinking to take a flight to Las Vegas. It would be enough time to get the connecting flight at 4:05 pm (virgin america. we must do the check in at least 3:20pm) or should we take the flight at 6:40? thank you for response

You should be fine with the 4:05 flight. You will be out of customs at the TBIT by 1:40 at the latest and it's only a 5 minute walk to T3.

    Thank you ZAP :)

have just 2 hours from virgin flight landing before delta flight takes off - have seen on other forums that staff can give you a fast track ticket to cut the immigration wait - how do i get one please?

2 hours is not a short enough connection to require such a pass. You should have plenty of time.

  • Aeroflot_JetBlue, separate tickets

Hi, we bought separate tickets and fly from Moscow to New York, JFK on August, 18 with Aeroflot. We are arriving to JFK at 5:20 at Terminal 1. The next flight to Salt Lake will be at 8:29 p.m. at Terminal 5 with JetBlue airlines. Do you think we'll have enough time to get on a plane on time, considering customs and registering? Thanks in advance! Should we buy new tickets if we are not going to make it on time?

Yes, that should be enough time. You can check in online for your Jetblue flight before you leave Russia and that will save you a little time at check-in.

    Thank you!!!

  • Do we have to go through security for our connecting flight?

Hi, we're arriving at the International terminal and have a connecting flight in Terminal B, both with US Airways. Do we have to go through security after clearing immigration and customs or can we get to Terminal B without having to go through security?

After you clear customs you will be outside security. You will have to go through security before your connecting flight.

    thanks

I'm coming through LAX to japan from Phoenix and heard that construction is making the connections much harder United domestic to international departures. Is the construction and all that bad?

There is no construction in the United Terminals. It should not affect you.

  • RDU to Newark to Birmingham England

Will be flying United from Rdu to Newark to birmingham England. Will I have to collect my luggage in Newark?

No, you will not. You do not go through US Immigration when leaving the US. All you will have to do in Newark is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you arrive in A, you can take United's shuttle bus on the secure side to Terminal C where your BHX flight will depart.

    Thank you so much Zap!

  • Just 40 Minutes to Connect

Our Economy flight from NYC arrives in T3 and we then have 40 minutes to connect to our flight to PDX also in T3. Is this enough time? What if our flight is just a few minutes late? It seems as tho we are set up for failure in this situation considering how often planes are late these days?

Yes, this should be enough time. Actually flights are late far less often nowadays than a few years ago. All gates in T3 are connected inside security.

  • Transfer with delta

Hi, I'm flying with delta from Dublin to orlando via JFK on dec 22nd Delta have changed my itinerary and now my flight arrives at JFK at 1.43pm and next flight leaves at 3.15pm. Do you think that's enough time to collect the luggage, clear security etc? I have an Irish passport. Doesn't seem long enough for me. Thanks in advance.

Dublin has preclearance - you will preclear US Immigration and customs in Dublin. Your arrival into JFK will be like a domestic flight. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You will arrive in Terminal 4. If your departing flight is from Terminal 2 then Delta runs a shuttle bus inside security between the two terminals.

  • 1hr 26mins layover enough?
    Aug 19, 2014

I'm planning to fly from Tampa to Singapore with Delta and the flight route is Tampa – Atlanta (1hr 26m layover) – Narita – Singapore. Is the 1hr 26m layover safe enough? I assume that since I'm flying Delta for all sectors, I will be able to check thru my lugguage from Tampa (so no need to wait for luggage). Will I have to go through Immigrations/Customs again at Atlanta? Would love to take this route instead of going Tampa – LAX (4hr layover), thank you in advance!

You do not have to go through US Immigration when you leave the US. All you have to do in Atlanta is take the plane train from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The only time you will have to go through Immigration on your trip is when you get to Singapore.

thank you for the info. Delta has since amended the next sector and now Atlanta layover is 1hr 10mins! Pray no delays - I should have enough time to disembark and make it for my next flight right? or should I leave tampa earlier and go for a 3 hour layover in atlanta just to be safe?

I have an upcoming transit from Domestic Arrival by Delta to International Departure to Dubai (emirates Airlines) with a layover time of 1Hr 18 mins. I am interested to find out if you made your connexion. Please educate.

I will be arriving at 2300 from the USA into MEX on Aeromexico, and then leaving at 1000 to Cancun from MEX. Is it comfortable enough to pass a night inside the terminal? After clearing customs will I be able to get to the domestic terminal that late?

It seems MEX is pretty much a 24 hour airport, so I think you should be able to get between terminals. You might want to peruse this: http://www.sleepinginairports.net/northamerica/mexicocity-airport.htm#guideTop

  • Should I re-book?

On Sept 5 I (a Canadian) am booked to fly into PHL from Montreal on AIR Wisconsin (Terminal F) and have only 1.5 hours to clear customs and get to a US Airways flight to Glasgow, I assume leaving from Terminal A. I don't mind walking, but will I have to go through security again as well? I have only carry-on luggage. Thanks for the help!

Montreal has pre-clearance. You will go through US Immigration in Montreal. Your arrival into Philadelphia will be like a domestic flight. All you have to do in Philadelphia is take the US AIrways shuttle from Terminal F to Terminal A (no security required). You should have plenty of time.

    thanks so much!
