  • FRA to SJO via DFW Connection Time 1:10 hours

(Jan. 17th, 2015): Frankurt to san Jose, Costa Rica - American Airline #71 arriving in Dallas at 15:05 - departure to San José flight #2442 at 16:15 with only 70 mins connection Time, all Terminal D. Will I make it, what could I to do make it? Thanks Markus

It will be difficult but it's possible. Since you're on an International to International itinerary, you should not have to claim your baggage before going to though customs, but confirm that with the AA agents in FRA and DFW. You will have to hurry.

  • Connection time in Denver for Toronto to Orange County trip
    Dec 11, 2014

My mother is travelling from Toronto via Denver to Orange County (John Wayne) with a connection time of 55 minutes on Dec. 21. Is this connection time long enough? Here flights are with Air Canada and United. She walks slowly due to a knee condition. Any information about arrival and departure terminals would be welcome as well. Thank you!

If both her flights are on United they will both be on the B concourse. She has plenty of time.

I'm flying into Atlanta from the UK (Manchester) & have 1hr 25 mins to catch a flight to Nashville. Will this give me enough time, providing the flight isn't delayed of course?

Yes, it is enough time but you will have to hurry. It is 5 minutes below the recommended connection time.

Sorry for the Caps but i really need some help.... I will be getting into LAX from Sidney Aust(Quantas) at 6:30am and connecting to a Southwest Airline flight to Kansas City MO at 8:45 Am.... I have one big luggage to pick up... I need to know will i have enough time to make it to the southwest terminal in time to make my flight..... How far will i have to walk.... After traveling that many hours, i would be highly upset if I missed my flight and had to reschedule.... If anyone have an idea how i should preceed to my southwest flight, please give me a helping hand... It would be very much appreciated.. Thank You

You should have enough time, but you will have to hurry. The fastest route from the International Terminal where you will arrive to Terminal 1 is to walk. When you exit customs you will follow the signs for passengers ending their journey in Los Angeles, then walk to your left against the flow of vehicle traffic as you exit the building. The third building you come to will be Terminal 1. It is a 10-15 minute walk. I'm guessing you will be out of customs by around 7:15, that leaves you about 45 minutes to get to Terminal 1 and get your bag checked with Southwest. Check in with Southwest online before you leave Australia to get a better boarding position.

  • Departed from Newark, connecting in LAX, traveling to Sydney
    Dec 10, 2014

If anyone can give me a straight answer here, I'm in a panic because my flight from Newark was delayed and has shortened my connection time. I am flying United. Arriving in Terminal 7, Departing from Terminal 8. I believe my luggage is checked all the way to Sydney. Will I have to go through security again in Lax and when will I go through immigration? In Lax or Sydney? Please help!!!!!

No, you will not have to go through security or immigration in LAX. You will go through Australian immigration when you get to Sydney. You should have plenty of time. All United gates at LAX are connected inside security. Both gates will probably be in Terminal 7, no gates in Terminal 8 are large enough to handle the plane that flies to Sydney.

  • terminal 3-terminal5 ticket purchase together 1 hour 15 min layover

Hi, Hello, I purchased my parents ticket from tampa to chicago and chicago to doha with 3 hour layover in chicago thinking that this will give them enough time to go from terminal 3 to terminal 5, but now american airline change the schedule and layover is reduced to 1 hour 15 min, My mother cannot walk fast so i have arranged wheel chair for her.Tampa to chicago is american airlines and chicago to doha is qatar airways.I purchased the ticket all together, My question is will 1 hour 15 min be enough, I do not know anything about chicago airport.thanks Harry

That should be enough time. The wheelchair assistance will make sure that they get to Terminal 5. However, you can also call American and see if there is an earlier flight to Chicago. Since it was an involuntary schedule change they should change the tickets without a change fee.

Thank you for your prompt reply,I called Qatar airways people and they said earlier American airline flight from Tampa to Chicago is around 11:00 and will reach 1:30.that means waiting time will be around 7 hours.thanks again for your reply

  • Winnipeg to Chicago to Houston to Bogota

My Husband (a green traveler) and my 17 year old daughter are travelling for her to play rugby in Colombia. They have a 35 minute stop over in Houston to catch their plane to Colombia....Is there any hope that they will make it? I have been sleepless worrying about this.. I understand they will arrive in terminal C and depart from terminal E....Do they have to do anything other than run like crazy? How far is it in real fast walking time from the 2 terminals?

Yes, all they have to do is go from the arrival gate to the departure gate. Some parts of Terminal C are literally right next to Terminal E. The worst case scenario is about a 5-10 minute run.

    Thanks...I'll sleep better tonight!

Well done! They made it with 20 minutes to spare!!!

  • Time to clear Customs from CDG Paris through EWR on to IAH

What is the average time to clear customs coming from Paris, France connecting to Houston?

The minimum connection time is 90 minutes, but to be safe I'd want closer to 2 hours.

  • Connection fro T1 to T2 and luggage
    Dec 10, 2014

Hello in January I'll be flying from Saginaw MI to Frankfurt (Germany). I have a layover in Chicago and I'll be landing in Terminal 2 and then I'll take my second flight from Terminal 1. My question are: 1) Do I have to go through the security again or there's a way I can go from T2 to T1 without having to go through security again ? and 2) Do I have to check in my luggage again for the second flight, do I have to do anything with my luggage, or will the airport authority take care of my luggage ?

There is a walkway between T2 and T1. The Airline will transfer your luggage on your way to Frankfurt, you do not have to do anything with it in Chicago on your way to Frankfurt. On your return to Saginaw, if you pass through Chicago, you will arrive in T5, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then take the ATS train to T2 and go through security and to your departure gate.

I am going to be flying through JFK, and will connect from T2 to T4 using the Jitney. I am looking at an itinerary with a 50 min connection. Will this be enough time? Aprox. how long does Jitney take now that T3 is closed? Thanks!

That should be enough time. The Jitney takes about 10-15 minutes.

    Thanks ZAP, appreciate the help!

  • Is 44 minutes enough time to change planes?
    Dec 10, 2014
    1
I'll be traveling from Nashville to Islip, connecting 44m in Philly.

Yes, that should be enough time although your flight to Islip will leave from Terminal F. If your flight from Nashville does not arrive in Terminal F, you will have to take a shuttle bus to Terminal F, and in that case you will have very little time to spare.

  • Transfer Southwest to Qantas: 3 hours enough?
    Dec 10, 2014
    1
Flying into LAX on Southwest with checked bags, arriving 7:15 pm. Connecting to Qantas, flight leaving 10:20 pm on a Sunday in February. Separate tickets. Is this enough time? How concerned should I be with possible late arrivals on Southwest?

Yes, that should be enough time. Delays at LAX are rare, so if you have a delay it will be at your origin city or wherever your plane is coming into your origin city from.

SCHEDULING A FLIGHT WITH A VERY SHORT LAYOVER. DOES ENDEAVOR FLIGHTS USE THE SAME TERMINAL?

Yes, all Delta and Delta Connection flights use the McNamara Terminal.

thanks. I have only about 30 min to get from B to A so just wanted to check.

A and B are connected by an underground walkway, it's less than a 5 minute walk.

    THANK YOU!
