I am planning a trip from BFS to LAX with air canada this involves a stop at EWR - I have 3 hrs 25 mins between connecting flights is this enough time? Coming home I have 1 hr 50 min between connecting flights is this enough?

Yes, both of those connections should be more than enough time.

I'm looking at Delta flights from China arriving at Detroit 6-8pm on Saturday, is 1hr 39mins enough time to connect to another domestic Delta flight?

Yes, that should be enough time. Immigration times in DTW are generally pretty quick and all Delta flights are in the same terminal.

Booking ticket for elderly mom in wheelchair. She will be returning to South Africa, from San Francisco. Arriving with United and connecting to South African Airways, with a 1 hour 45 min between. Will that be long enough, for her to catch the connection?

Yes, if her first flight is on-time that is enough time.

I am flying in from Denver arriving at LAX at 950am to board Korean Air at 12 noon. where do I collect my luggage from my frontier flight and what's the best way to get to KA desk to recheck my bags?

You will arrive in Terminal 3, there will be a baggage claim in Terminal 3 for you to claim your bags. You will depart from the International Terminal, which is right next to T3. Just walk along the curbfront from T3 to the International Terminal.

  • Icelandair Flight - Tight Layover - Will I Make It?
    Mar 24, 2014

I will be coming in on an Icelandair Flight that arrives at 7PM. The only flight out of Boston to get to my destination leaves at 7:59PM - That's only a 59 minute layover coming in from Reykjavik. Is it possible for me to make my next flight? I don't know if Icelandair can check my bags all the way since I would be changing over to a domestic carrier and I would need to go through customs. Also, perhaps BOS custom's has a better reputation for being quicker than other airports such as JFK and Icelandair does have a stellar "on time" or earlier reputation. Any input would be helpful. :)

This isn't possible. You'll have to spend the night in Boston.

Need to get elderly father in law from terminal A to B with luggage to meet family. What is the easiest method?

The Inter-Terminal Train connects all terminals outside security.

I am Canadian and will be returning from Atlanta to Vancouver(YVR) with a transfer in SFO. I only have 40 minutes in SFO. Is this enough time for me to catch my flight? I'm assuming I'm going to have to collect my bags and go through security again. Am I right? Thanks, getting nervous!

Oh, and both are United flights

No, since both of your flights are on United you will NOT have to collect your bags and go through security in SFO. All of your flights will be in Terminal 3 and should be connected inside security. If your first flight is on-time you should have enough time.

    Thank you Iso much!

  • Flying From NWT to YVR then SFO...do I pick up my baggage???

Hi, I'm flying from NT tomorrow with a stop in Calgary and a stop in YVR then on to San Francisco.. What I need to know...do I pick up my bags in YVR before going to US departures? I only have 1 Hour and 30 min before US plane leaves so I don't know if that's enough time???

Your bags will be there to claim once you clear US immigration in the US departures pre-clearance area. You should have enough time.

I'm flying United from Gulfport, MS through Houston to Seattle. My first flight is 4306 and the flight from Houston is flight #305. I have 1 hr and 11 minutes between flights. Is this enough time to transfer? The flight info doesn't say which terminals the flights operate out of . Thanks!

You will arrive in Terminal A or B at IAH and depart from Terminal C. They are connected inside security by the TerminaLink train. If your first flight is on-time you should have enough time for your connection.

  • Virgin America to Singapore Airlines connections.

I will be flying LAX-JFK-FRA with Virgin America and Singapore Airlines. I am wondering how easy the connection process is between both airlines. I will have 1 hour with 50 minutes to do this connection. Will it be enough?

If your tickets were bought on one reservation then Virgin America can check your bags through to Singapore. Both of your flights will be in Terminal 4 so if your first flight is on-time and your bags are checked through you should have plenty of time and even if you can't get your bags checked through the connection is makeable.

I booked all my flights on one ticket so I will be good on this aspect. It will even give me time to try out the Shake Sack.

Hi ..I arrive on an international flite American at Term 8, 705PM and have a connecting flight out of Jet Blue Terminal Term 5 @ 850pm. I need to pass immigration, collect baggage and recheck baggage. Is 1 hour and minutes sufficient time assuming all are on time? I have traveled thru JFK before, know about trains but wondering about timing. Is 110 minutes enough? Many thnx ;-)

It's cutting it close, it doesn't leave much room for any delays, especially if AA doesn't check your bags through to JetBlue and you have to transfer them on the airtrain yourself.

The American flight wasn't purchased at the same time as the Jet Blue flight so I yes I would have to schlep the luggage myself. Thanks for the response!

Another ?..if I was 2 stay the night and take a differnt flight the following day what are the hotel options nearest 2 the airport? Cheers

I'm a visitor arriving from France with AA at 14:35 with 3 family members. Will I be able to catch the next domestic AA connection within just 1:40 ? Or should I book the next flight after about 7 hours?

The 1:40 connection is makeable but doesn't leave much room for delays.

Your transfer time does not allow flight delay for incoming AA flight. You will arrive at Terminal 5 (T5) and need to depart from T3. International arrivals need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag; then proceed up one level to the Airport Transit System (ATS) station and take the ATS train, which runs every few minutes, to connecting terminal, where you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate. T3 has Concourse/ gates L to the left, the Y-shaped gateway to Concourses /gates K & H in the center and to the Rotunda (leading to T2) and Concourse G to the left. Check overhead screens on arrival for your flight & gate number.

  • HOW CAN I CONNECT FROM McNAMARA TO NORTH TERMINAL?
    Mar 22, 2014
    1
Hi, I will arrive from Paris at 16:20 at McNAMARA Termial but I have to change to North terminal to fly to Denver with Frontier Airlines. I guess there should be some transportation but I dont find it. Could you help me please?.

There is a shuttle bus but it runs infrequently since few passengers have to go between the two terminals. I hope you have at least 2 hours for your transfer, preferably closer to 3.

  • 3 hours enough time?

We are arriving from Amsterdam (KLM) and our next plane is a Jetblue. We have to pass customs and pick up our luggage. Is 3h enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. You will get between Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 using the AirTrain/Air Terminals Train.
