Please start flying into knoxville TN we drive all the way to use Southwest to bring family from Chicago & Arizona & Buffalo NY but the drive is getting a bit much. We hate to switch but

It is very unlikely that Southwest will begin flying to Knoxville any time soon.

  • Which Terminal to Depart From

Which terminal should we use to fly from ORD to YEG? We want to save time by making sure we are let off at the correct terminal! Thanks very much!

Check flight status on united.com (assuming you're flying United). If the gate starts with B or C, it's Terminal 1, if it's E or F it's terminal 2. However, if you have to check a bag, you will have to be let off in Terminal 1 to do so. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are connected inside security by a walkway, so even if you have to change terminals it's not a big deal.

Thanks very much! Your answer was extremely helpful and very much appreciated!

2 hours should be enough time for your connection.

  • need transportation from O'Hare to Hammond, IN

What are my options for transportation from the airport to Hammond, IN? I'm arriving early the 12th on US Airways. Thanks!

Coach USA has a shuttle from O'Hare to Highland, which is right near Hammond. http://www.coachusa.com/tristateunitedlimo/ss.ohareairport.asp If the schedule for that doesn't work for you, you can take the Blue Line to downtown chicago, then walk to Millennium Station and take the South Shore Line to Hammond.

Does TTN have wheelchairs? I understand you have to go up steps to the flight. Is there handicap access? thanks

Yes, they have wheelchairs, every airport in the US is required to, and you don't board using stairs, you board using a ramp - http://imgick.nj.com/home/njo-media/pgmain/img/the-times/photo/2013/02/-84e8ebbc4014bb5a.jpg

Thank you so much for your prompt reply! That was just the info. we needed. :)

  • Arrival, customs, baggage...

My Delta flight arrives from Paris, France at 1:21PM, Terminal 2 and I have next Delta flight at 2:55PM at Terminal 4 to JAX. Am I taking my luggage after customs or is it automatically tranferd to JAX flight? Is there anyone to show you where you can take the Delta shuttle, and do I have to go though whole customs, emigration, security thing twice? Can I make it in hour and a half? With a child :) thank you!

You have your terminals backwards. You will arrive from Paris in Terminal 4 if your flight is operated by Delta and Terminal 1 if it is operated by Air France. Your flight to Jacksonville will leave from Terminal 2. After clearing US Immigration, you will have to claim your baggage, go through customs, then re-check your baggage with Delta at the re-check desk. Then you will take the airtrain to Terminal 2 and go through security and to your departure gate. You will only go through US Immigration and Customs once, in JFK. 90 minutes is the minimum allowable time for such a connection, so if your first flight is on-time you should be OK but you don't have much buffer in case of delays.

Thanks for a reply! I double checked terminals, arriving in T4, leaving from T2 :)

Hi, I'm coming from Strasbourg with the lufthansa Bus at T1 Arrivals. Hall B, exitB4. How can I go to the departures; Could you inform me about the usual gate for flights to Athens-Greece and the time needed to get there; Unfortunately Lufthansa does not allow an online check in for this flight and I cannot have my boarding pass .

I will be flying from KCI and going to Shreveport. la. How hard and how far would my connection be

Your first flight will arrive in Terminal B or C and your second flight will depart from Terminal B. If you arrive in C, it is connected to B inside security by the TerminaLink train.

Hello, I have hair extensions with the the little metal clips. I am flying from Lubbock to Austin this month and I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be okay to wear the extensions through security. Thanks!

It's not illegal, but you may require hand-inspection.

  • Mom needs wheelchair from JetBlue to connecting EL AL flight.

Mom is coming from PBI JetBlue to JFK EL AL. I understand that EL AL recently partnered with JetBlue for trips to Israel. I've notified both airlines that she will need a wheelchair. I will be meeting her at the EL AL Terminal. The question is: What is the process of the handovers to attendants on arrival to JFK, who will take her from the JetBlue Terminal to the EL AL terminal and will she be assisted during the process at Customs?.

  • connection time between FCO - DBV and check-in
    Sep 5, 2014

Hi, I will arrive on Rome FCO at 11:20h with TAP from Porto (Portugal) and I have a flight from Vueling to Dubrovnik at 12:35h. Since Vueling doesn't allow me to check in online in advance for flights between FCO and DBV, I will need to get out, go to check-in counter of Vueling, which closes 45min before departure, make my check in and pass again through security and go to gate for Vueling flight. Both flights are at Terminal 3. My questions are: 1. Are 20 min enough to get out the plane and arrive to check-in counter? 2. Will 20 min be enough again to go back from check-in counter to Gate of departure of Vueling to DBV? 3. Do I need to pass any passport/documents control to flight from Rome to Dubrovnik (I'm a EU citizen)? 4. Is it easy to find the check-in counters when you exit the arrivals gate? Any hints? 5. Is there any way of making the checking at FCO with Vueling without leaving the security zone of Terminal 3 to reenter it again after check in? Thank you in advance for your help and I hope you can provide me some tips. Thanks. Paulo

20 minutes is probably enough but it certainly leaves very little room for any delays. There is Schengen exit passport control when you enter the gate wing for your flight to Dubrovnik. I can't say without a doubt that it will be impossible for you to make this connection, but it will be very very difficult.

flying in from belfast then on to orlando. do we need to change terminals and if so what is distane and time it takes. thank you

You may arrive in Terminal B or Terminal C. In either case, in Newark you will go through US Immigration, collect your baggage, go through US Customs, and then re-check your bags with United. Then if you arrived in Terminal B you will have to take the Airtrain to Terminal C. Then you will go through security and to your departure gate to orlando.

  • Baggage Drop off help and check in
    Sep 3, 2014

Hi. I'm moving to England and arriving at ORD via Peoria Charter Coach. I will have 2 check suitcases and 1 carry on for a United flight to BHX. I know this is a stupid question but will there be help when the bus drops me off to get my bags to the check in counter? I will have already checked my bags in online the day before and paid the requisite fees. Thanks so much for answering my question!

The buses drop you off on level 1 of the parking garage, there are not porters there. You will have to manage your bags on your own. If you can't carry your bags, get a cheap portable luggage cart and either put it in your bags when you're done or dispose of it when you're done using it.

    Thanks!

  • Wheelchair assist between terminals & recheck luggage????
    Aug 31, 2014

Confused. 1) Do I have to recheck luggage for United if I have to move from Term C to Term B? 2) Is there assistance avail for a wheelchair passenger to get from Term C to Term B?

You do not have to re-check baggage, it will be transferred automatically. If you need wheelchair assistance, call United before your flight.

We are flying out of JFK on Air Lingus at 9:40pm. I need to book flights from DC to JFK and am not sure how much time from our arrival on the local flight we need before getting on the Air Lingus flight to/from our trip. Can you advise? Thank you!

Since you are booking separate tickets I would try to get in before 6:30 PM.

    Thanks so much!
